Our clinical partner in Delft, the Reinier de Graaf Groep, started an extraordinary initiative to inform medical students about all-things-orthopedics: Summerclass Orthopedics. Our clinical partner in Delft, the Reinier de Graaf Groep, started an extraordinary initiative to inform medical students about all-things-orthopedics: Summerclass Orthopedics. For almost a year the staff worked incredibly hard to organize this event. Their efforts paid off: about a 100 students are spending the week in Delft to learn about orthopedics in an informal setting. We gladly participated in the information market:

Nearly one year ago we published a press statement on an approved Phase 1 SBIR* proposal. Today we are happy to announce that Phase 2, the development phase, has been approved by the expert committee. The granted assignment allows us to continue our product development on the topic of shoulder fractures and the range of motion simulation thereof.

The observant visitors of our website may have already noticed: two new job openings were published. Naturally this is related to today’s very good news and we excitedly look forward to the upcoming expansion of our company.

*The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program is a highly competitive three-phase award system which provides qualified small business concerns with opportunities to propose innovative ideas that meet the specific research and research and development needs of the federal Government. The SBIR scheme consists of three phases: After successful completion of a phase, participants can submit a proposal for the next phase. The first phase consists of a feasibility study and takes 6 months. During the second phase companies have to develop and complete the actual product in a time period of two years. Central themes of the third and last phase are marketing and commercial exploitation. Our phase 2 proposal was one of 13 selected proposals in a pool of 27.
