This is Black Star Inn.
Our son Jonathan Schleh Dayton is the Executive Chef there.
They have a Winery,also the Hearth and Vine Restaurant for Pizza's ,Cheese is made in their Creamery. The Gourmet dinners are served at the Inn which is open to the public.
Located in Suttons Bay Michigan along with several other wineries in the area make it a great place to spend a day wine tasting while staying at the gorgeous Inn.
Though it's open all year and beautiful any season I like the spring best.
So I am spring dreaming today,only 28 days to go.

OK ....to be fair I try not to complain too often!
But this new thing that is appearing on some blogs will definitely drive me away !
This business of leaving a comment and then to prove I'm not a Robot I have to decipher some totally nutty print !
Please keep mind I am a senior citizen (not by choice) just there and my vision is not what it used to be (along with some other crap) and I have Cataract's too !
So give me a break who ever devised this is young ,has 20/20 vision and doesn't care if anyone follows them or not.
Sorry ,but this is really tough to figure out.Hope someone has another idea.

Children's Hangers

These are some childs wooden hangers I bought.
I gave then 2 light coats of color (acrylic) then sanded lightly for an aged look.
I hand painted the flowers and leaves but you could also do some collage with small cut outs.
Use your imagination, they'd make a great baby shower gift.

Linky Followers/ finally working !

Is anyone else having a problem with the Linky Followers badge?
I have been unable to follow anyone with this as Linky says my email is already in use . I have tried at least a dozen times to get my password from them.
No answer to my questions or reply to my emails. Just says they'll send a new password in 5 min. but it never gets here,nor has it gone to spam.
Hopefully I'm the only one it doesn't like and those using it are recieving followers.
Linky will not let you follow some one unless you sign up with them.
Well ! I finely recieved a reply after several days and it seems to be working.

This has been a frustrating experience!
I have heard and read we will no longer have google followers on our blogs as of the first of March!
Though this does not thrill me I have decided to go with the flow,pretend I can deal with this at my age and not complain.
Word is we can use Networked blogs via Facebook or Linky.
I have had a bit of a trial with the network thing......it hooked to another older blog,had my blog name and and didn't want me around !!
So I said Mr. linky is for me.........he didn't work either and refused to reply to my emails or questions/ I was polite too !
I think I finally have the network thing working, sad we can't some how transfer our followers.
I wonder too where all this is going......will we be facebook , blogger,google? Who are we ????????
Must be old age but I don't like these contant changes,why does it all have to be so difficult?
I'm going to get a cookie, I'll feel better about all this !

Every morning when I sit down to my computer I am whisked away on a journey around the world.
I see new things each time, the most gorgeous art and talent beyond words.
There are hugs,joy,sadness and beauty as I visit so many of you and yes wonderful new things to learn.
Most of all there are friend's to share life,ideas and words of encourgament, or congrats on an achievement.
We share tutorial's,photo's and our lovely creations as well.
A special friend sent me a package with Valentine hugs and I was thrilled to recieve something so thoughtful and beautiful.

I love the post a note holder and the tag is beautiful,the special extra of the letters were the icing on my cake.

I love the way this turned out.
I'd had some of the paper for awhile and liked the flowers in it with the fine ink lines around them. So once I had the papers collaged on the canvas I painted the vase and flowers,copying the flowers from the paper. Then I did the inking around them. Of course now I wish I'd bought more of that paper!!

Willy our Golden loves to tear up an empty box. We find he's terrific at recycling!
Sir Pufton of up your's our 13 year old cat finds a better way to use one. He seems to prefer them slightly battered !
Willy is 3 and these two adore each other.
Life without pets for me would be extremely empty.They make every day sunny.

# 3. This is a transfer I did on tissue paper. It has been enhanced with pen and ink plus Ranger Distress Ink. It is the type of transfer you see used on burlap pillows and furniture.
I printed the transfer on tracing paper with my Ink Jet printer.
I used matt gel to adhere tissue paper( crumpled) to canvas board then matt gel again to set the tracing paper on the tissue.
Another coat of gel,pen and ink,dry over night and apply another coat of gel. Real nice effect.

With thoughts of Valentine's Day I created this framed Collage as a Give-Away.
This piece has lots of layers and shine. It's a 10 X12 size and should fit nicely where ever you hang it.
Sorry about the GLARE,no it's not a moon just my some what lack of taking good photo's.Even tried standing over this one and shooting on the floor!
