So far two pieces in the rabbit collection are finished. The paintings are fairly muted in color, but very are involved pieces. I enjoyed working through all of the fine details in the foreground and the rabbits themselves.

Like the recent fawn painting, the rabbits were finished with a hint of sterling silver to add a little extra sparkle.

I could (and have :) ) made a seat along the water’s edge for most of the day just to watch them. This is a small painting that reminded me of one of those days..

This is one of the paintings that has been keeping me occupied. I really enjoyed how well the fur texture went in on this one. ..I almost didn’t want to cover it up for the color phase. :/

This is a small painting that was made as a part of the body of work for exhibition at Whistle Pik Galleries opening soon.

I liked the expression of the bird.. one of the things that attracted me to painting it. ..but more intriguing, at least for me, was the unusual light. It felt very soft and subtle (the original work shows this even more than the digital scan). I wanted that environment to draw in the viewer.
