My name is Ed-Louie Buisan from the Philippines. A wandering artist. You may ask why wandering. Well it’s because there’s only me and a few digital artist in the city should we say 3 or 4 of us. I live in a small city called Cotabato. I have my passion in art. I was in traditional back then and I felt unsatisfied so I went digital.

Honestly, it’s kind of hard to grow in a place where anything related to art study is lacking. Then again, I didn’t make it as an excuse and still pursued self study. I am now in my 3rd year in digital art. Still confused, because even though I have reached a certain level I know I have skipped many basic stuffs. Here’s a sample of my work. It’s not much but I hope you get my idea…

 

How to train a Dragon

 

I was all into deviantart and then saw iDrawgirls.com. Seems iDrawgirls is more into tutorials and drawings thats why I wanted to try it out here. I wanted to ask for help for those who are going to art schools and designs schools. Which should I take first? I am only doing self study. So I’d like to ask suggestions which is more important in learning. A step by step guide till graduation.

Thanks in advance everyone. I hope this will help me clear my path as a concept artist or should we say illustrator to put in a broader angle.
