If you receiving annoying mails from some of your old friends or any newsletter. Here is the way to block or delete the mails without read the mails.

1. Login your Gmail Account.

2. Click Setting in the right side top corner.

3. Click the Fliters tab and click create a new filter.

4. In the From tab enter the email id which you want to block.

5. After filling the From click the Next step.

6.In the list of Checkbox Check Skip the Inbox , Delete it and click Create Filter button.

After automatically all your annoying mails will delete without reach your inbox.

The iPod Cannot Be Synced. The Required File Is Locked

Recently i faced a big problem in my APPLE IPOD SHUFFLE. I solved the problem in a new way.

Before i synced my ipod with iTunes version 8.1 .

Later when i try to sync my ipod with iTunes version 7.2, i got the error

The iPod [ipod_name] Cannot Be Synced. The Required File Is Locked.

I searched in net and i got some solutions. But nothing helped me. So finally i restored my iTunes settings.

If you like to restore the settings you cannot get your songs in iTunes library.

So if you have backup of your songs and videos , you can restore it.

The following steps explain how to restore your settings in iTunes.
You should have internet connection for this operation.

1) Select Settings in your iTunes, Click the Restore option in the window.

2) You get the following Message box. Click the Restore button

3) It contacting the ipod software update server

4) It Automatically Restoring your settings.

5) After 15 sceonds it restart the application.

6) You should enter the name for your ipod and click Done

7) Then you get your ipod inside the iTunes.

8) Update the songs in the library and Autofill (Sync) it.

Forward Gmail to Other Mail Service Automatically

Do u need to forward the GMAIL mails to any other mail services or your office mail IDs.

Here is the way, The following steps instruct to change the settings:

1) Login your GMAIL account.

2) Select Settings Option.

3) In the Setting tabs Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP.

4) Enable the Forward a copy of incoming mail option.

5) Enter the email id which you like to forward your gmail, in the Forward a copy of incoming mail to ________ box.

Example: In the picture i entered my other service mail-id.

6) In the drop down menu you get three options:

a) keep Gmail's copy in the Inbox: It store the mails in Gmail inbox and forward the desired email also.

b) archive Gmail's copy: It mark the mails read and remove from the inbox and also forward the desired email. But keep them in the archive for later search and retrieval.

c) delete Gmail's copy: It moves the mail to trash and forward the desired email also.

7) Finally click Save Changes.

Always Show your GTalk status IDLE

GTalk is my favorite online messenger. I always chat with my friends through GTalk only. When i am busy in my office or home i like to show my gtalk status is idle. In sometimes i like to show i'm far away from my sysytem. But if i'm chatting with others it is not possible. I need to overcome the problem, so i searched the Internet and finally found the solution.

I can show my status always Idle by the software called GAlwaysIdle. If u also have the same issue, do the following steps:

You need to download the software zip file. It is very less size (45 KB) only. It take few seconds to download. If once you download the zip file, extract it. Inside the folder only two files available. ie., gidle.exe and gidle.dll. You need click the gidle.exe.

This is the GTalk option before you installed GAlwaysIdle.

And this is the GTalk option after you installed GAlwaysIdle.

Here you can find Three Options:

Normal Idle: It is normal option. That is if you chat with your friends it show available and if you far away or did not use GTalk for more than 30 minutes it show Idle status.

Always Idle: If you select this option what ever you do in GTalk it always show your status is Idle only.

Never Idle: If you select this option and you far away from your system it show Available status only.

In recent days the the galwaysidle site is down and you cannot download the software from the website.

So you can download the software from my storage.

Block Unwanted Advertisements in Firefox

When we open a top level website we find a lot of advertisements on the page. Sometimes it may help us to meet out our requirements. But this is not always the case. For slow connection users it slows down the page load speed further. In this Condition we need to avoid the advertisements.

To overcome this problem (in slow connection) we can use Adblock Plus Add-on provided by Firefox. It blocks the advertisements by entering the url of the site name.

The following steps guide you in using the Adblock Add-on for the very requirement:

Install the Add-on and select "Option".

In the Window select the "Filters" -> "Add Filter".

In the New filter box add the url of the site which you like to block (the advertisement site).

In the "My Ad Blocking Rules" it shows the list of advertisements which were blocked already.

Click OK and Apply.

If you feel this method is quite complex, you can use the below mentioned method too. Right click on the advertisement. It will show various options. The last option is the Adblock plus.

As shown in the image below. Adblock Plus :Block Image...

You can also check the number of HITS (How many times it blocks the Advertisements) from the Preferences.

Unhide Your Password in Firefox

The article is going to give you an alert about the unhidden password.

Unhide Password is a Firefox Add-on that shows all passwords by displaying them in text instead of the Asterisks or Dot symbol.

If you installed the add-on you can change the option.

In the Show password? option you can select Yes or No.
If you choose Yes, unhide password will work.

If you choose No, the password will use Asterisks or Dot symbol.

In the Password style, can select bold or Italic and Color.
To avoid the people can't see your password, select light shade colors and type the password.

So the people sitting some distance can't see.

It can be used for checking your long length password typed in the browser.

Note: Please Don't try this in Browsing center !

Bookmark option is helped to store your favorite website in Firefox.

you can store your favorite website by clicking Ctrl+D.

In next time if you need to see your favorite website,
you click Bookmarks -> bookmark_name.

This option is old one, you can use this option in a short way.

Select the bookmark and right click, in the properties window you can find Keyword box.

In the keyword box just type a character , then save the options.

Now move to address bar and type the character then it direct to your favorite website.

One Night 4 College Students Were Playing Till Late Night And Didn't Study For The Test Which Was Scheduled For The Next Day.

In the morning they thought of a plan. They made themselves look as Dirty and weird with grease and dirt. They then went up to the Dean and Said that they had gone out to a wedding last night and on their Return. The tyre of their car burst and they had to push the car all the way Back and that they were in no condition to appear for the test.

So the Dean said they can have the re-test after 3 days. They thanked him and said they will be ready by that time.

On the third day they appeared before the Dean. The Dean said that as this was a Special Condition Test, All four were required to sit in separate classrooms for the test.

They all agreed as they had prepared well in the last 3 days.

The Test consisted of 2 questions with the total of 100 Marks.

Question :
You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night, it’s raining heavily, when suddenly you pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for a bus:

* An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
* An old friend who once saved your life.
* The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing very well that there could only be one passenger in your car?

This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application.

* You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first;

* or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to ! pay him back.

* However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.

The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer. Guess what was his answer?

He simply answered:

“I would give the car keys to my Old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my

A holy man was having a conversation with God one day and said, ‘ God, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.’

God led the holy man to two doors.

He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in.

In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man’s mouth water.

The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished.

They were holding spoons with very long handles, that were strapped to their arms and each found it impossible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful.

But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths.

The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.

God said, ‘You have seen Hell.’

They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one..

There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man’s mouth water.

The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man said, ‘I don’t understand..’

It is simple,’ said God . ‘It requires but one skill.

You see they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves.’

Parents can Block Some Unwanted Websites from their Children

This is the way to Parents can Block Some Unwanted Websites from their Children at Home in their PC

To block websites on your home PC, here’s the trick. This only for Windows PCs:

Step 1: Click Start then Run.

Now type the following text in that Run Box:

notepad c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Step 2: New Notepad on your screen containing some information. Just go to the last line of the file, hit the enter key and type the following:

127.0.0.1 orkut.com
127.0.0.1 unknown.com
127.0.0.1 myspace.com

Save the file and exit. That’s it. Then none of the above sites will now open on your computer.

You can block as many websites as you like with the above technique.

If you want to remove the ban later, open the same file as mentioned in Step 1 and delete the above lines.

She says... Kamsa heard Devaki’s 8th son would kill him.

So he put devaki and vasudev in prison.

1st child born. Kamsa kills it by poison.

2nd child born. Kamsa kills by Sword.

3rd child born......

At this point a boy raises his hand for a Doubt.

The Teacher is surprised and askes what?

He says "If kamsa knew that the 8th son would kill him, then why did he put Devaki and Vasudev in Same cell???

Teacher faints!!!

Think about it... it’s the great logic...!!!

Next day Father approaches Bill Gates.

Father: "I have a husband for your daughter."
Bill Gates: "But my daughter is too young to marry!"
Father: "But this young man is a vice-president of the World Bank."
Bill Gates: "Ah, in that case - ok"

Finally Father goes to see the president of the World Bank.

Father: "I have a young man to be recommended as a vice-president. "
President: "But I already have more vice- presidents than I need!"

I was walking through the supermarket to pick up a few things when I noticed an old lady following me around.

Thinking nothing of it, I ignored her and continued on.

Finally I went to the checkout line, but she got in front of me.

“Pardon me,” she said, “I’m sorry if my staring at you has made you feel uncomfortable.

It’s just that you look like my son, who just died recently.”

“I’m very sorry,” I said to her, “Is there anything I can do for you?”

“Yes,” she said, “As I’m leaving, can you say ‘Good bye, Mom?’ It would make me feel so much better.”

“Sure,” I said. An odd request, but no harm would come of it.

As the old woman was leaving, I called out, “Good Bye, Mom!”

As I stepped up to the checkout counter, I saw that my total was $1027.50.

“How can that be?” I asked, “I only purchased a few things!”

“Your mother said that you would pay for her,” said the clerk.

Remove the automatic appearance of your Password in the Password Box

Internet surfing with Internet Explorer allows you to remember your user name and password in the user name box or password box if you agree to do so when you first visit a particular web page.

It is quite a useful feature called AutoComplete which gives you convenience as you don’t need to retype your name and password every time you want to access the web page. Having said that, it is also quite risky as you need to compromise your personal security information if other people use your computer.

If you are not comfortable with this feature offered by IE, you can readjust and turn off the AutoComplete settings so that the browser will not remember any more login name or password.

To modify your settings for the AutoComplete feature and clean all items from the list of form or password suggestions, just follow the steps below:

1. Go to Tools menu and click on the Internet Options

2. Click the Content tab and choose “AutoComplete” under Personal Information.

3. Click the appropriate AutoComplete check boxes, or click Clear Forms or Clear Passwords to clear all saved items from the appropriate AutoComplete history

4. Click OK to complete the task.

To create or delete a folder named CON in Windows XP

Did you tried to create a folder with the name con or prn or nul. It is not possible to create a folder by a name Con?.

These words (CON, PRN, NUL, AUX, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8 and LPT9) are reserved keywords called SYSTEM FOLDERS and can’t be created directly in Windows Explorer or Command Prompt. What’s the reason behind it?

It’s simple, Con is a reserved name from the early days from DOS, it stands for the “CONSOLE” I/O device, since it is already used by the system.

Like Con, many other reserve words are there which we can’t create.

They are,

PRN - It stands for printer.

AUX - It stands for Auxiliary device.

COM0, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9 - They stands for serial ports.

LPT1, LPT2, PRN - They stands for Parallel ports.

NUL - It stands for Bid Bucket.

But you can achieve creating those folders through Command Prompt.

Just follow these instructions.

Go to start -> Run ->cmd or command

To create a folder named con in your C drive then, type this in the command prompt, md \\.\c:\con and hit Enter

Similarly to create a folder named con in your D drive then, type this in the command prompt window down and press Enter, md \\.\d:\con and hit Enter

Now you get the folder like this:

If you want to delete this folder, type this in the command prompt, rd \\.\c:\con

In place of con you can write any desired name of your folder as if for now you can even try folder names like prn, nul and many others too.

Create a Nameless File and Nameless Folder in Windows XP

If you like to make a file or folder without naming it. Why would I create a folder which is nameless but yeah if you have some evil plans like wanting to show something to your family or friends.

Here the simple trick which enable you to create a nameless file or folder.

i.e., file or folder without a name in it.

Here’s the step to create it:

Just create a new folder and hold Alt key and type 255 on the number pad at the same time.

Your nameless folder is ready.

Another method:

Just create a new folder and hold Alt Key and type 0160 on the numpad at the same time.

Reason - This puts an ASCII code instead of typically qwerty keys or say that they are using the special character which resembles ’space’.

But if you wanted to create another nameless file or folder in the same directory?

For this you will have to rename the file or folder with 2 spaces.

Here’s the steps involve to get it work.

Select file or folder and press F2.
Hold Alt key and type 0160 from numpad.
Release the Alt key, now without doing anything else; again hold Alt key and type 0160.
Press enter and you will have second nameless file or folder in the same directory.
Repeat step3 to create as many nameless file or folder in the same directory.

Now you can get a nameless folder like this:

Disable USB Ports and Enable USB Ports

In some office, the administrators disable the USB ports to prevent employees from inserting any USB device into their computer.

Here is a method to disable and enable USB port.

Go to start -> Run ->regedit hit Enter

Open the Windows Registry and open the following keys

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\

CurrentControlSet\Services\UsbStor

Now in the Right pane, double-click Start and type 4 in the Value data box (Hexadecimal) and quite the registry editor.

To enable the USB storage devices, change the Start value back to 3.

Another Method:

Go to start -> Run ->regedit hit Enter .....

Open the Windows Registry and open the following keys.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\

CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies

Now add a new DWORD called WriteProtect and put the value as 0 to disable write privileges to the USB port.

To reverse the step, either delete the WriteProtect REG_DWORD or toggle the value to 1 which will enable the port.

Note: It works only with Windows XP SP2.

To Delete Specific URLs from your browser (Firefox & IE)

Sometimes a situation comes that we have to delete certain specific website address (url) only from the web-browser location or address bar then you have two methods to delete the website links either delete all the urls from the address bar or only the specific one (recommended).

In Firefox, you just need to move your mouse over the website entry and press

Shift + Delete Key combination to delete the desired address from the history.

For Internet Explorer, follow the steps exactly as described bellow; do editing the registry with the following steps:

Close any open Internet Explorer window
Go to Start->Run -> regedit hit Enter to launch the registry editor

Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs
Delete the desired URL
