Some Muslims believed coffee was an intoxicant and therefore is banned by Islamic law. In 1511, the governor of Mecca, Khair Beg, saw some worshippers drinking coffee in a mosque as they prepared for a night-long prayer vigil. Angered, he drove them from the mosque and ordered all coffeehouses in Mecca to be closed. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#330000;"&gt;This incited the pro-coffee Muslims and a heated debate soon ensued. In this dispute, two unscrupulous Persian doctors, the Hakimani brothers, who were infamous for testifying on the side of the highest bidder, condemned coffee as an unhealthy brew. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#330000;"&gt;The doctors had good reason for wanted it banned, for it was popular cure among the depressed patients who would otherwise have paid the doctors to cure them. The matter was only resolved when the Sultan of Cairo, Khair Beg's superior, intervened, demanding that a drink that was widely enjoyed in Cairo should not have been banned without his permission. Khair Beg soon paid for his insolence. In 1512, he was accused of embezzlement and the Sultan sentenced him to death.By the late 16th Century, the use of coffee was widespread throughout the Arabia, North Africa and Turkey. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#330000;"&gt;The nutritional benefits of coffee were thought to be so great that coffee was considered as important as bread and water. So much so that a law was passed in Turkey making it grounds for divorce if a husband refused his wife coffee.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#330000;"&gt;Wherever Islam went, coffee was sure to follow. BPO is a very fast paced and a high momentum industry. BPO industry is expected to generate one million jobs by the year 2008. Taking advantage form the abundant skills and low cost benefits, large number of BPO companies have mushroomed in India in recent years, many of the well established IT companies have also started their BPO divisions. But, there is another side of the BPO picture too. The side that has already brought the BPO industry in limelight many times. This picture is concerned with the non viability of the BPO and the fact that the young generation of India is actually loosing out in the BPO.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Business process outsourcing organisations, commonly known as call centres – work when rest of the India sleeps! Most of the BPO organisations work according to the international (US and UK) timings, therefore most of the BPO employees work in might shifts starting anywhere from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. and ending at 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. There is also a graveyard shift starting at 4 a.m. working in such shifts having odd timings have started showing hazardous results on the health of the Indian youth.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Prolonged working in shifts of odd hour’s can have major implications on the physical and mental health of the employees. The physical strains like sleep disorders, depression, odd working shifts, learning foreign accents, constantly handling abusive calls and high stress levels are making the BPO employees more prone to hypertension and heart attacks. Various surveys and research conducted amongst the call centre employees have shown that depression is the most common problem faced by BPO employees. To avoid lungs infection daily exercise yoga.&lt;/div&gt;</description><thr:total xmlns:thr="http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0">0</thr:total></item><item><title>காலம் பெட்ரோல் போன்றது!</title><link>http://arumuru.blogspot.com/2008/06/blog-post.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (murugesan)</author><pubDate>Sat, 7 Jun 2008 20:13:00 +0530</pubDate><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6054350684930094612.post-4296976875519074418</guid><description>பெட்ரோல் உலக சந்தையில் விலை அதிகமாகிக் கொண்டே இருக்கிறது. அதனால் தான் இந்தியாவில் பெட்ரோல் லிட்டருக்கு ஐந்து ரூபாய் விலை உயர்வு அறிவித்திருக்கிறோம் என்று அரசு சொன்னாலும், விலை உயர்வுக்கு நாமும் ஒரு காரணம் ஆகி இருக்கிறோம் .&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;நாம் சின்னச்சின்ன தூரத்தை கடப்பதற்கு கூட மோட்டார் வாகனத்தை எடுத்து செல்கிறோம். அதை தவிர்த்து, ஒரு கிலோமீட்டர் அல்லது இரண்டு கிலோமீட்டர் தூரத்துக்கு சென்று வருவதற்கு சைக்கிள் எடுத்து செல்லலாம். இதனால் ஏற்படும் நன்மைகள்:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class=""&gt;1 &lt;/span&gt;. பெட்ரோல் செலவு மிச்சப்படும். மேலும் உலக அளவில் பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சிக்கு நாம் ஒரு விரல் (கை?) கொடுத்த மாதிரியும் ஆயிற்று.&lt;br /&gt;2.  &lt;span class=""&gt;cycling &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class=""&gt;is &lt;/span&gt;a &lt;span class=""&gt;best &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class=""&gt;exercise. &lt;/span&gt;வேலை செய்த மாதிரியும் ஆயிற்று... &lt;span class=""&gt;exercise &lt;/span&gt;செய்த மாதிரியும் ஆயிற்று.&lt;br /&gt;3.  சுற்று சூழலை பாதுகாத்த மாதிரியும் ஆயிற்று. புகையில்லா நகரம் உருவாக்கலாம்.&lt;br /&gt;ஆனால் சில பேர் என்ன சொல்கிறார்கள் தெரியுமா? காலம் பெற்றோலை விட பொன் போன்றது!&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;we are lucky.
