Adobe Dreamweaver merupakan program penyunting halaman web keluaran Adobe Systems yang dulu dikenal sebagai Macromedia Dreamweaver keluaran Macromedia. Program ini banyak digunakan oleh pengembang web karena fitur-fiturnya yang menarik dan kemudahan penggunaannya. Macromedia meluncurkan versi terakhir Macromedia Dreamweaver yaitu versi 8.

Untuk kali ini saya akan sedikit mengulas tentang versi yang sebelumnya yaitu Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004. Cuman sedikit tips n tutorial yang saya ulas, namun saya harapkan nantinya bisa anda kembangkan sendiri. Let’s do now…!!!

Sebelumnya anda perlu menginstal beberapa aplikasi pendukung. Yaitu diantaranya web server local, Macromedia Dreamweaver 8.0.2 (tentunya), serta Adobe Photoshop (optional). Karena menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP yang bersifat serverside, maka diperlukan web server dan database server, jalankan program aplikasi server tersebut. Web server yang support PHP banyak sekali tapi yang lebih enak pake APache karena secara default memang digunakan untuk memproses PHP, kemudian untuk database server mengguankan MySQL. Untuk lebih mudahnya lebih baik menggunakan bundel server, jadinya ketika kita menginstal bundel server tersebut, kita sudah menginstall database server dan web server sekalian, enggak repot jgua untuk konfiugrasi. Ada banyak sekali penyedia bundle server. Untuk indonesia yang cukup terkenal adalah Dongkrak Server, untuk luar negeri banyak banget, yang cukup terkenal misalnya adalah: XAMPP, PHP Triad, EasyPHP, Apache2Triad serta VertrigoServ. Disini, saya menggunakan VertrigoServ untuk localhost serta database PHP MyAdmin yang udah jadi satu bundel di dalamnya.
