BTS' 'Butter' Breaks 100 Million Views YouTube Record in Less Than 24 Hours

BTS’ “Butter” music video is now the Fastest Music Video in YouTube record that hit 100 Million views in less than 24 hours (~20 hours & 55 minutes)!

On the officail announcement last April 26, BTS released an hour-long video teasr on YouTube with cartoon of a melting butter which in turn at the end after butter melted the title and released date revealed. Rap Monster (RM) told Apple Music, “we needed another summer song...” during an interview as they concluded for a reason to release summer anthem unexpectedly because of pandemic has no definite time to end at the moment.

After the first 4 hours the music video was released on YouTube, it was already viewed over 53 million times.

Upon the released of the video yesterday, May 21st, 'Butter' already hit and breaking records on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple iTunes even among other streaming sites worldwide.

BTS released the official music video for their latest summer anthem "Butter"! The track is charismatically cheerful as members smoothly sway down in the dance video. Unlike previous BTS MV, the members appear in black-and-white wearing slick suits before it switches to color as they dance, sing and rap, while they take a turn grooving in an elevator, dancing together in a gym and stage under exciting-like lights being “smooth like butter” and having a “superstar glow” vibe.

According to the official press released by BigHit label, BTS’ latest summer anthem “Butter” released on May 21 is a dance pop track that easily becomes listeners’ favorite earworm, with its distinctive baseline and crisp synth sounds. It is their second English song following “Dynamite”.

“Butter” puts forth BTS’ unique charm that no one else can pull off. Sometimes smooth, at times charismatic, the duality of BTS, that they claim to “owe it all to my mother,” will melt listeners' hearts. The fun and witty lyrics overflowing with positive and bright energy will instantly uplift moods of every listeners.

Sandara Park is now leaving YG Entertainment 17 years later

K-pop star Sandara Park (a.k.a Dara), a member of popular girl group 2NE1, is now finally leaving her agency YG Entertainment after 17 years.

According to news post in naver, Dara's contract expires today, May 14th, and decided not to renew it with her label YG Entertainment.

In a statement released by YG Entertainment, it announced to the public the last day of the exclusive contract of Sandara while expressing their sincere gratitude with special trust and affection to the artist who has been in the agency for 17 years.

YG Entertainment will always cheer and will help Dara in preparation of her new carreer path. They are sincerely thankful to the fans who until now support and loved Sandara Park as their artist.

Dara start her showbiz career in the Philippines prior to her debut as member of a girl group in South Korea.

Dubbed by her loyal fans as "Pambansang Krung-Krung", Dara joined the first season of the ABS-CBN’s reality talent competition “Star Circle Quest” in the Philippines. She debuted in K-Pop girl group 2NE1 in 2009 with Minzy, Park Bom and CL which was disbanded in 2016.

Prawn Preparation

Heat oil to 340F. Deep-fry the prawns until crisp and golden brown.

Add the fried prawns, gently tossing it with the sauce.

Vego Rolls

Indulge in a refreshing and healthy dish from Vietnam. Wrapped in rice paper, you can fold in different types of vegetables or chopped seafood like shrimp and fish.

Filling Preparation

Heat oil in a wok. Stir-fry the onion and garlic until fragrant.
Season shrimps with Knorr Chicken Powder and black pepper. Add to the pan and stir-fry for 1 minute.
Add in carrots, green beans, and tofu. Stir fry for 2 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning with Knorr Chicken Powder.
Add the shredded cabbage.
Transfer to a strainer to remove excess liquid from the mixture.
Keep warm until ready to assemble.

Peanut Sauce Preparation

Place all the ingredients in a food processor. Puree until smooth.
Heat the mixture before serving. Add water if a thinner consistency is desired.
Taste and adjust seasoning.

Presentation

Fill a spray bottle with filtered water. Lightly spray rice paper with water. Place the wrapper on a chopping board or any sanitized surface.
Line one side of the rice paper with one whole lettuce leaf.
Place about 2 tablespoons of vegetable filling on top of the lettuce.
Top with minced garlic (optional).
Sprinkle with ground peanut sugar and finish with a sprig of coriander leaves.
Roll the rice paper, tucking the sides.
Cover the finished rolls with a damp clean towel to prevent it from drying up.
Once all rolls are done, slice each roll into two 1.5 inch segments (similar to sushi).
Arrange on a serving plate and sprinkle with additional peanut sugar.
Serve with warm peanut sauce.

Breading

In a bowl mix all ingredients until well incorporated. Set aside.

Tofu Preparation

In a bowl season tofu with Knorr Rostip and black pepper. Deep fry until golden brown and set aside.

Mushroom Preparation

Using the breading, dredge the mushroom and tap excess. Deep fry in the same frying oil used in tofu until golden brown, set aside.

Cauliflower

Using the breading, dredge the blanched cauliflower and tap excess. Deep fry in the same frying oil used in tofu until golden brown, set aside.

Eggplant Soy Dressing

In a bowl, combine all ingredients until well incorporated. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Assembly

In a wok, heat margarine. Add onions and chilies and sautee until they are soft. Add in tofu, mushroom, and cauliflower. Saute for 3 minutes.
Season with Knorr Liquid Seasoning and turn off heat. Fold in Eggplant Soy dressing and mix until well combined.
Transfer to a sizzling plate and garnish with cherry tomatoes, leeks, and spring onions.
Serve with calamansi on the side.

Fresh Ube Lumpia

Give your regular lumpia a twist with a hint of sweetness from ube strips. With the combination of sweet, nutty, and salty, flavors, you’ll surely be in for a surprise.

Lumpia Filling

Add oil to the wok and apply medium heat.
Add onions and garlic and saute until soft. Then, add ube to the wok and saute.
Pour water and Knorr Shrimp powder and bring to boil.
Add the rest of the ingredients and toss lightly. Cover for 1 min, then apply high heat and remove cover. Toss and mix well until it's cooked.
Transfer to a colander to remove excess liquid. Set aside to cool.

Lumpia Sauce

Mix everything (except cornstarch and water) in a pot. Apply heat.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 1-3 minutes.
Add Slurry (cornstarch and water mixture) to thicken the sauce.

Ube Savory Crepe/Wrapper

In a bowl mix all ingredients until well incorporated. Rest the batter in the chiller for 30 minutes.
In a Teflon pan: add oil and cook 1/3 cup of the crepe batter.

Assembly

Add lettuce on top of the crepe, top the lettuce with filling, then fold.
Drizzle with Lumpia Sauce and sprinkle with chopped nuts.

It’s Lenten season once again. For many of us, this is a time to take a break from meat and explore new seafood and vegetable-based alternatives. Thankfully, eating healthy doesn’t have to mean putting up with just salads or steamed fish anymore.

Our version of pinangat has shrimp, smoked fish, coconut meat, coconut milk, lemongrass, and aromatics which we cook for hours over low heat. This results in a smoky, fork-tender dish that goes well in rice or grains like adlai and quinoa. Pair it with fried or grilled fish for an authentic, country-inspired meal.

Sinanglay is another Bicolano favorite that also follows the cooked-inside-leaves technique. This dish swaps out the gabi leaves for pechay, the smoked fish for tilapia fillets, and adds onions, ginger, garlic, kamias and tomatoes for aromatics. It’s a lighter option for those who prefer gentler, brighter flavors.

Pamamanhid, tusok-tusok, and pangangalay. If you’ve experienced any of these, you’re not alone. 99% of Filipinos in Metro Manila also experience at least one of the three common symptoms of nerve damage or neuropathy.

These were the startling findings from a 2020 consumer study conducted by P&G Health among 240 Filipinos in Metro Manila aged 35 to 65 years old on the symptoms of neuropathy. The survey also revealed that seven out of ten respondents did not know what neuropathy was, and were more familiar with its common name, nerve damage.

Majority of respondents started experiencing the symptoms of neuropathy between 36 to 40 years old. Around 94% felt pangangalay or muscle weakness, 90% had that tusok-tusok sensation or tingling, 94% had pamamanhid or numbness on their hands and feet, while 85% experienced all three.

Most of the respondents who had their fair share of the symptoms dismissed these, thinking that these were caused just by tiredness or being overworked.

To relieve their symptoms, most of them did stretching exercises, went for a massage, or took a pill, usually painkillers. Some of them even explored home remedies such as drinking herbal teas. However, 90% of the respondents said that none of what they tried stopped the recurrence of symptoms. There were also those who tried generic B-vitamins, but only 51% said it helped in resolving the discomforts they feel.

Without relief for their symptoms, the respondents had difficulty doing tasks at home, simple chores became much harder to do, and their performance at work were even affected.

This emphasizes the importance of early detection and diagnosis of neuropathy. Under normal conditions, nerves repair naturally through nerve regeneration (Hoke, 2011). However, this is only possible if less than 50% of the fibers of the nerve tissue is damaged. Otherwise, this is called “point of no return” by experts.

Thankfully, neuropathy or nerve damage symptoms can be handled by consulting medical experts and knowing which products work best in stopping the recurrence of the discomforts it brings. BTS' company BigHit Entertainment and UMG strategic partnership; Reveal to debut a new boy group

The label of the K-pop megastars BTS, Big Hit Entertainment announced their partnership with Universal Music Group and reveals plans to form a global boyband.

"We are planning to debut a new group in partnership with Universal for the global stage and will hold a global audition. We are aiming to air this audition program with a U.S. media partner in 2022."

Because this new group will be trained in a K-pop style, which means the new form of 'Hallyu' is coming and would be a new milestone for the K-Pop era.
