To me in the end the only thing that really matters is family and health. This is number one reason why I work. I want to ensure that my current and future family the security they need to have a healthy lifestyle.

Recently I had a health scare that came out of no where that was severe enough to send me to the emergency room. While sitting there in the emergency room waiting to see a Dr. I was ready to give up everything I had to be healthy again.

This scare made me realize that we often overlook the most important thing in our life, our health. Sometimes we get so busy with work and other things that we overlook the types of food we eat and neglect to get the proper daily exercises.

As busy as you get make sure you eat healthy, take vitamins, and get some sort of daily exercise that works the heart.

I recently read an article that many single digit millionaires don’t feel they have enough and for many it’s not enough to retire. Well this all depends on where you live, but I do see their point. A million dollars today just doesn’t buy as much. Home prices in my area range in the $800k and on top of that there is property taxes.

Here is a link to the articles: In Silicon Valley, Millionaires Who Don’t Feel Rich

I’ve had another success year as far as business goes but it looks like I will have to keep working a few more years according to this article. So how much do you feel is enough for you to retire. Let me know.

Could I really achieve $19 million dollars by age 48? In theory yes. Using an interest calulator, which compounds money once a year at 20% with an intial investment of $500,000 I should be able to reach this milestone.

The problem with formula is with the 20%. Being able to achieve 20% a year on my money is highly unlikely but a few hedge funds have been able to achieve these types of gains. There are a few mutual funds that do very well each year and if you actively manage your money I believe it’s possible to get close to the 20% interest.

I have slowly started to move my money into funds that actively invest in foreign companies.

Here is a list of funds I currently own:

FLATX
GAAEX
MPYMX
OBCHX
PRNEX

This past week one of these clients made a visit and let me test drive his lamborghini. The lamborghini has been one of my favorite exotic cars for a long time so it was a dream to drive it. This is a very low car, it feels like you are sitting on the ground and the leg area is very small.

I don’t know if I would actually buy one myself, it gets quite a lot of attention.

I am contact with most of my work peers and have an understanding that if you send me work, I will send you work.

This month I sent one of my competitors about $12,000 in work and in return he sent me a lead that resulted in $30,000 in work for me and could lead to further work down the line.

It’s also good to see what new ideas people in your industry are coming up with and to stay abreast about the latest trends.

Although most of my success has come from online, I am constantly looking for other business opportunities. One particular area is in real estate. Although the real estate market is very soft right now and experts expect it to get worst in the coming years I think there are still bargains if you approach it correctly.

An old neighbor of mine called me about a house on his street that just came up for sale, this was the perfect flip even in this market because it was the worst looking house in a very nice area. Unfortunately I was alittle too late to this game, it was sold in 2 days. The asking price was $525k it sold for $571. There were 9 offers on the home. I would offered asking price cash. Estimated cost to fix up the house is about $100k and potential profit would be 100-150k.

Here are some pics of the house:

So you want to know what it takes to make a lot of money online? Let me tell you about my daily routine and how I run my business online. I usually wake up between 7-9pm and start checking emails. After sorting through all the spam and answering a few emails, I start writing my daily newsletter.

After that is sent off I check the web cams for local surf conditions. If the surf is good I will go surfing, if there is no surf I will make a few phone calls and answer more emails. While this is all going on I like to monitor the stock market. After 1pm, I usually go get something to eat and come back for a nap.

As evening rolls around I work on another newsletter to send out, and do alittle marketing for my sites. I network with associates all day long and into the evening online. I usually go to bed about 2am and repeat the process again the next day.

I deal with many people in my line of business, and being able to indentify the personality of each person allows me to deal with them accordingly which can enhance profit.

The first type of person is the no nonsense type of person. This person is by the book and usually very formal with emails and phone conversations. They will usually greet you formally in emails and have a formal signature in their emails. I keep phone conversations with these type of people very short and stick to the subject.

The second type of person is the kind that only wants to deal with you online. Some of my largest deals have been landed strictly through the computer never speaking or meeting the person. This type of person handles business through emails and IMs. I find these type of people the easiest to deal with. They let you do your work and don’t micro manage.

The third type of person is the kind that is going to call you ever 5 mins to ask you if things are coming along ok. This is the type worst type of person to deal with and I tend to steer clear of this personality. If anything goes wrong you will hear about it. If I have to deal with this type of person, I let them know upfront what to expect from me and exactly what I’m going to do.

The fourth type of person is the buddy type, more like a high school buddy. This type of person will call you and talk to you about everything and is very friendly. They understand the business partnership and will get down to business when needed. This is the best type of relationship to form. Many of my business comes from this type of personality.

So when dealing with people, if you are able to determine their personality type early, this could put you in a position to close a deal or make more money.
