Either you may be a wordsmith or enthusiastic English language learner it’s always difficult to go and search for meaning /usage of difficult word in physical dictionary. If you are a lazy person like me who hates to open heavy dictionary & go through around many pages to find an unknown word what it would up to, then it would be perfect companion to you.

One of my friends, told me about this amazing tiny piece of software. I am very much impressed with the capabilities of it. Let me tell you how useful it is.

If you encounter any new/unknown word just hit control + right click on that. It opens-up Wordweb GUI & shows you meaning of the word along with usage details.
You can also hear pronunciation of the word.
One of the great features of the program is, it even attempts to find meaning of a word from a picture too. Do you think I am lying to you? Just see the below screen shot. I tried it on ship picture.
From within pdf file also it can work – just hold control and hit mouse right click.
It is a good thesaurus tool.

With the massive development of technology everybody becoming gadget freaks. Many people are being attracted to digital books (a.k.a: e Books). If you are one of them then this is for you. In this post I'll demonstrate easiest way of creating e books. There is no need of having html or any other programming skills. Just you need to know how to copy paste, that’s all.

Somebody may raise the question that, we already have pdf reader then again what is the need of e-books?

Datawind, a British wireless product manufacturer who has created a lot of buzz with the theme of ultra low cost tablet affordable for masses dubbed as Akaash tablet a.k.a Ubislate failed many times in fulfilling it's promises. It is being largely criticized because of it's customer care standards. Many people had already sent their payments for the product but are getting frustrated with the treatment of Datawind. There are rumors that Datawind used these prepaid payment for the working capital needs.

There are two reasons for which you may force you to think about refund.

1. Still waiting for product delivery without knowing the delivery time.
2. Changed your mind with the news of poor making standards & false promises.

Datawind promised that, the product will consist Android Gingerbread (2.3) but now being shipped with Android Froyo(2.2.2).
As per company promise it will be having Cortex A8 700Mhz HD video processor but in reality the device is not running normal quality movies smoothly(forget about HD movies)
Some people are complaining about the overheating of tablet while charging.
Very big minus is it's resistive touch screen.
The actual device will be having only one full Usb port rather than two as promised by the company.
Wrong placement of usb port & SD card port. At a time one can only use either usb port or SD card slot.

              As we are getting closer to release date of Ubislate 7+ a.k.a Akash tablet, finally Datawind is taking some steps to regain lost confidence of many Indians who booked their Ultra-low cost Android device. As per their status update on official Facebook page, users can check their booking as well as delivery status of Ubislate tablet from their official website.
        For checking delivery status follow the link Ubislate - Status Check.

       Enter your Booking ID (Ex:P0123456789) in the search bar and hit enter. Detailed delivery status is displayed on your computer screen.

Note: Currently they are in a process of linking database to site so, the site may display Invalid booking id Error Message. Wait until they link database to site. I'll be updating this post whenever the process gets completes.

As per available information from internal sources, Ubislate 7+ will be released on ~~March 15.~~ Earlier it was scheduled to launch on End of the first week of March but, due to aap ki app contest deadline (final submission) extension to March 09 launch date has stretched further.

Many people think that it is not possible to find source of e-mail from where it has originated/sent. Actually it as 100% possible.

You need to do little work to know ip address.

First you need to know about header file: it is like a envelope cover, it contains all details about the respective email.
Generally we don't have option to see header files on web mails(Gmail,yahoo,Rediff etc), but an yahoo mail or a Gmail no matter what it is, it contains header file.

The next, you need to have a e-mail client, for example take Thunderbird. Download Thunderbird e-mail client from Mozilla site and install it on to system.

Then open thunder bird and configure the e-mail service you are using with Thunderbird.

Go to options menu of Thunderbird and select -view all headers option

Now open the e-mail , of which you want to know ip address.and press Cntrl+U, to view the source of the information, all the source will be displayed.

You need to find the text phrase of " Received From: ".

Right next to the Received form ip address will be displayed like something 001.010.001.100 .

Done!
That is the ip address of email sender.

Before starting the topic i just want to tell few things, they look like pretty much general but they are real.

1. Nothing comes easy as you think.
2. If there are opportunities to earn thousands of dollars in a month span, then every body starts doing that even they quit job - Moral of the story is the site owners will eventually develop by your activities but not you get any thing, just pain of doing.
3. Some sites offer legitimate earning opportunities, do remember that those are for the time being and are removed after the site being popular.
4. Don't put yourself in a perception that you can make money through online earning to extent your family will run simply on that. This absolutely unrealistic assumption. May put yourself in deep trouble.
5. Check twice whether the site is legitimate/true site or not before you decide to contribute to site.

Now I telling my own personal experiences of some sites:

1. AWSURVEYS:
Site promises of paying the money in huge in dollars for taking surveys. They offer something like 6$ or so(i don't remember exact figure) for taking each survey. All this is nice.
The trick behind the site is "You need to reach minimum threshold/minimum eligibility limit that set to very huge, to reach the limit you need to work for more than years.
And one more mandatory rule for the site is to work continuously, if any inactivity for 3 months completely wipes out your earnings.

2. e-mail Paysu:

Site offers money for reading e-mails. You think like what is wrong in welcoming few messages to my inbox in return i will get paid, like wise you go for sign up.
Site pays for 0.01-0.05 dollars. Initial days you get 10-20 mails per day, later on the mail count(mails you receive) goes to 0-1. Many months would take the earning accumulate to 75$. Maximum(99%) of users left behind the threshold of payment and leaves the site.

3. Mginger.com
Site pays for receiving ads through the SMS to mobile.
The site is legitimate, a few users who have joined in the initial days of site start-up are really making good earnings(because of having huge network).
For normal user site to accumulate the amount to 100 rs. Takes many months and even years.

4. Linkrefferal:

They offer virtual money redeemable against currency. Site idea is to be in limelight with the help of people who are looking for site promotion.
You need to work years to get any payment.

5. Free mobile recharge of Rs 500:

These kinds of promotional links appear generally appear in Social Networking sites like Orkut, Facebook etc. They tell that you need to do little promotion about their offer to their friends, those offer very easy promotion tools.

Generally it takes 10 minutes to complete the tasks given by them, But you get out of the campaign is nothing.
These type of advertisements motto is viral promotion of their game/application/service.

6. There are few sites boasting of giving cash incentives to work from Home/work part time/just work 2 hours on computer by typing.
These are completely lies in special category of cheating.
The work they offer is, they will send scans of some documents you need to type those matter in word files and format them as they mentioned and send them.
Some sites collect initial deposit too.
They use Multi Level Marketing[MLM] technique.
Here they key thing is, the payment is made only when your typing accuracy meets their standards(normally they demand more than 99% accuracy Ex: 4 -10 mistakes per 100 pages, even spacing is also checked), is it practically possible?

7. Google Adsense is real gem in online earning but you have to host a good stuff

Windows 7 Tips-general usage

1.Many of friends asked me how to get rid of preview panel on Windows 7.
This feature is helpful for those who works with word files/ppt files.
A general user don't need this feature.To turn of this feature Just open my computer, below to search bar on opened window there will be three icon, one is for adjusting icon views, the second is for show/hide 'ing preview panel and the third is for help.

2. Just assume you need to monitor two opened windows simultaneously on same screen, generally we will go for opening the windows and adjusting those window size by dragging with mouse.Thanks to Microsoft they have made this work a lot easier.Just put a right click on task bar and choose
the option Show windows side by side.

3.If you are a fan of explorer view, this is for you.By default windows 7 at left panel the listed items doesn't include the desktop folders.To view those folders on left panel, just put a right click some where on left panel and check Show all folders.

A unknown symbol in MS word dispalying at end of every line

If you have been experiencing trouble in Ms office word with display of symbols like this- ¶ and others in Ms-office 2007, Don't worry.
Nothing happened.
Just a setting in word has modified.
Actual reason is, if the feature called 'Non-printing characters' is set to allow then those symbols are displayed.
In general the above symbol refers to paragraph break.

The option short cut is Shift+Control+8.
By pressing the combination of key you can turn the feature on/off.
