Hey everyone

Sorry about yesterday, A few things came up that I had to take care of and couldn’t get it all done in time so I had to give yesterday a miss. Also, I’m going to have to give next week a miss too, to take care of this other stuff that I was doing yesterday, Plus I’ve got more testing to do for SEO Website Builder Pro, since more modules have been added and I need to test how they install and uninstall, etc on different servers and web hosting companies.

So with this week off, it doesn’t mean you can…lol Keep on doing this stuff until I get back. Ok?

Any ways up, today is really just like GroundHog Day, same stuff really. But the articles are starting to get approved now, even Ezine Articles, 3 days it took to approve.

I now have articles spread across 7 article directories, the blog is set up to have 90 posts posted automatically.

All my a href links are all set up in another file. I’ve got loads of Bio sections already made for pages that have already been published on the blog.

Adsense is still climbing averaging around $1.00 or so a click.
Daily average is $1.01, which one can’t grumble about at this stage.
I mean, that’s $365.00 a year spending approx 3 hours a day on one site. Now if you did 12 hours a day, you could really get 4 websites up and running. Quit after one month, and get another 4 websites up and running. So what’s that? 4 websites per month, x 12 months = 48 websites. That’s almost $15,000 a year (basic wage for some people). As the content that’s set to get published at a future date, the more money you’re going to make, and more traffic you’re going to receive.

Traffic seems to remain steady at 60 or so visitors a day at the moment.

I know I have repeated this a few times, but let me repeat it again for those who might be embarrassed to ask this question.

Submitting to article directories. The matrix linking is somewhat confusing.

All we are doing is submitting our first 5 articles that revolve around Keyword 1. these articles have links that point to our blogs pages, home page and two inner pages.

The next day, we do the same again, but for Keyword 2, and have 3 links in our bio section pointing to our home page, and two inner pages of our blog / website. These anchor text links are named the same, ie, if the page is about Personal Loans, then I’ll link up the article bio section anchor text link to that page about personal links with the actual name of that keyword (personal Loans) and so on. It’s still ok to add other related words to those pages too, since it’s nice to mix it up somewhat or even add 3 worded phrases that contain the same keyword, ie, “Personal Loan Assistance’, “Faxless Payday Personal Loans”, see where I’m coming from here?

As the days go by, the articles are being approved, as before, I jot down the links to these articles that were approved to a note pad. On my next submission of articles to article directories, I add these links to my bio section, again with the same related keyword(s). It’s still ok to link up say for instance, An ezine article that was approved to another Ezine Article that was approved, and so on, and share some link love from ezine articles that were approved to another article directory, but always leaving at least one pointing to my home page of the blog / website with the main keyword that I am aiming for.

Now I don’t expect to rank for that keyword for quite some time on the first page, it’s gonna probably take me around 100-300 one way back links to get there. I could shorten the gap more by building up the article’s importance that contain these phrases via other 3rd party websites. Remember, when a 3rd parties article is ranking high, so will yours too.

What I would also like you to concentrate on next week while I’m not here is to focus on creating some article snippets to post to hubpages and squidoo lens pages, and find other related websites that do the very same. So for instance, create 5 article keyword snippets and link them up to 5 of those related article snippet pages on your blog / website. Create about 5 of them, that’s 25 links pointing to your site. Then do the same for hubpages. Then create another 5 more from each but this time, link them up to squidoo to your hub pages, and to your articles that were approved.

Also, what I want you to do, is go to Yahoo! Answers, create two user names. one will be to ask a question, the next day, or the day after, I want you to answer that question. Do this for every page that is live on your website / blog, articles that were approved, squidoo len’s, hub pages, social bookmarking pages. Ok.

Keep doing this for a while, we’ll probably be doing this along with what we have been doing so far, for at least 4 - 6 weeks more. Then when I hit the 12 week mark. I’m going to stop. And let nature take it’s course. I’ll probably review the site in about 2-3 months and repeat a few things I did 3-5 months prior.

I’ll draw up an image of what this looks like week from Monday. 2nd June when I recommence.

I also want you to find some rss feed places, take “My Yahoo!” you can add a rss feed to it. You can do the same to Google, Ask, and various other places.

With this week off, hopefully it will allow some of you guys to catch up.

Morning everyone,

Now I want to say something here and it’s a little off topic, but all the same. I wanted to say this due to an event that I was confronted with by some 47 year old who was acting like a child yesterday and being totally insultive, not appreciating what I am doing here and the methods in which I approach these posts in and totally disregarding everything of what I have said - I take on the picture that not everyone is the same where a lot of people do not have this experience or may not know exactly what to do, or thought about it, but needed some kind of re-assurance of what they have been doing is the correct approach, or before they attempt it - I don’t go by illustrating things from the middle, up. I start from the rock bottom and work my way up, unlike what this other guy’s way of doing things taking it for granted that everyone should learn from the middle, upwards with no fundamentals in place - no one is going to learn quickly that way, people are still going to need to go back the roots and understand the fundamentals.

So if there are any guys here who are at a more advanced level, I apologise if some of this bores you.

Now, this is about profitability and business modeling…

So..I need to get this off my chest cos it kinda pissed me off. The logic that this person had just didn’t make any sense what so ever. One can not compare apples with orange’s and start forecasting what is going to happen in regards to traffic, and or earnings. Not in this game, affiliate marketing with PPC, yes, viral marketing, yes, but SEO, NO WAY. There are too many factors involved such as search engine algorithms, and how fast pages are indexed and when those pages of yours start getting traffic via organic searches or those sources you get links from that delivers traffic to your sites, etc.

As I have said before, in which method you use, is not wrong, sure there are other ways to get traffic fast and earn big money. But in SEO, no. Did Brad Fallon (my wedding favors) get those 5,000 - 10,000 visitors a day in one night? No, It took him years to get to that level, with over 33,000 back links. Brad knew first hand that it would take some work, and if he stuck with it, it would pay off eventually, and it has, 100 fold. It takes a lot of work, even it means to invest your time before things turn profitable, or gets to a point that you’re happy with.

Now you may be thinking, “what the… man that’s a lot of work”. You’re right. I personally don’t spend much time on article directories to be honest these days, I’m past that stage, but two years ago when I didn’t have the amount of sites that I have now (568 and growing), I had no choice. I was new to the SEO Industry, and finances were very tight, some of you may know of my situation explained in my E-Book that people downloaded when they joined my Pre-launch Waiting List for SEO Website Builder Pro, which coincidently has a more complicated linking structure, which I’m trying to illustrate on this blog, but in tiny bite size lumps and the methology behind it. Any ways as I say, my finances were on a very tight budget to get myself out of this whole I was in, so spending more money on what I knew that I had to do to push the envelope to speed up the process in time and effort spent to get the results I needed, wasn’t an option at that time.

I’m a pretty patient guy, and know eventually the work I put in will pay off, and besides all that, I wanted to learn the ropes of SEO and thanks to Brad Callen I was able to learn it and pick up tips on my own and learn how to test things out, and what was actually involved before I decided to spend thousands on dedicated servers, domain names, C-class IP addresses - which I might add was money generated via Adsense - so my upfront out of pocket cost was ZERO.

My Success can be duplicated and achieved in about 2 years or sooner. And by no means am I saying you’ll be rich over night as you can see this SEO stuff is very time consuming, at least to start off with, but we have to start from somewhere. When you get to the stage I have, a lot of this stuff I do here you wont need to worry about, you can use your own websites. You see, I have my own social bookmarking sites, RSS Feed sites, tons of blogs, normal websites, article directories, link directories, forums, social networking websites, and a crap load of yahoo group ezine spam free lists, which todate has a little over 100,000 people on related to all sorts of topics driving traffic to my blogs and other related websites. Yes, they took a little while to promote, but eventually it went viral and other people were joining the list that were interested in that particular topic.

I’ll get into that stuff later in the weeks to show you what you can do to get more traffic. It’s an investment well worth considering, but yes, you will need to put the time and effort in, you may not earn big money straight away like some people think you should and totally dismiss the idea cos the business model isn’t worthy enough to pack in your day job right there and then. Personally I think that’s a wrong attitude to have and more so to relate what we are doing here with offline businesses.

All businesses start off in Debt, most of those who have started businesses have to get some kind of loan, unless one was fortunate enough to have the money to start with a huge chuck of change and still some left over before ones business becomes profitable to live on. In any case, based on an example of a jealous person I was confronted with yesterday put this case study down, insulting my methods of getting traffic cos at this stage, Day 12, was not a good business role model to follow, because it worked out that I was earning around 45 cents a day - so far. Sure, not a great amount of money. But at least this method is not in debt, it’s ALL profit, and profit is profit no matter how anyone measures it. And with time, it will increase, just like fine wine as it gets older, it tastes a lot better, and so will your success as you let it mature and keep on chugging along.

I could of approached this case study in a method to say… hey, stop what you’re doing, you don’t need to do SEO to get traffic. Do this, do that, go here, post this, post that, go to forums and spend 3-6 months in the sector that your site is about, get to know people, more forums you join and mingle in with, you’ll be on your way to earning not $10 a day, but hundreds in adsense income. Or I could say, hey, don’t do this, don’t do that, post out loads of classified ads in your area, yes, it works, there are places out there that cost anywhere between $10 - $150 to have your ad posted out to hundreds of classified news paper ads.

Or I could say, don’t do this, don’t do that, do this, pay for Radio advertising. Or What ever. Sure, there are many ways you can generate traffic and earn a lot more than what we are doing here. But this is not about being in a race, it’s not about earning as much money as possible, but the many methods in which we can get traffic from. What you do with this information is free for you to do as you wish with, follow or not. It’s completely up to you. We all have to start somewhere, and in my opinion, I think the best place to start is the very bottom, and work our way up to the top. And that’s exactly what I am doing here.

Ok, now I got that off my chest… let’s move on.

Okey dokey then, I’ve enclosed an image of the 2nd step of the article directory linking process in the hopes that it will iron out any confusions. Refer to Day 9’s post for the first step.

As you can see from the first step all we merely did here was what a majority of us do; post articles to article directories with links pointing back to our home page and an additional two inner pages.

The image above illustrates the process AFTER our articles to these other article directories have approved our articles. In most cases, unfortunately we have to wait about a week before the articles are approved, but that’s ok, don’t let it stop you from continuing, work around it until they are approved. If you find that article directory 3 was the only one out of the 5 that approved your article that day or the very next day, no problem, what I would probably do is link up another article that I know will be approved that day or the next, back to the article I did the day prior. It’s still ok to create this chain of related documents even if they are on the same site, I do it all the time on mine, just as wiki-pedia does. So by the time the others are approved, I’ll have article directory 1, 2, 4, and 5, linking up to article directory 3’s articles so doing it on others sites is always a good approach that many decide not to do, while article directory 3 links to the articles I posted there. Which is all good. I’m going to be doing the same any way on these other articles.

Any ways… To the left we have our first article directory posts and these all point to our home page, and other inner pages as described on Day 9’s post. And to the right we have our second article directory posts. Each of these posts are written around our main keyword. As you may remember, I choose for this example, to post article keyword 1 to article directory 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 on the first article directory step. The next day I did the same, but this time I used my articles that revolve around keyword 2.
I pointed these articles back to the article that was approved - then next week when the others are approved, I’ll concentrate on giving those links some more link love with more back links from other article directories and other sources that we will go into next week.

Just remember to jot down those approved article links and which sources they are having links pointed from so you can keep track. Around 10 or so is a good number which should generate at least a PR1 - PR2, and in some other cases high PR on those articles which eventually will funnel down on to your other pages of your blog / website, giving it more authority and speed up the process of article indexing.

I’m also going to mix it up a little bit here, and point more links from forum signatures to these articles as well today, and submit them to social bookmarking sites too. Sky’s the limit here.

Now here’s a tip that I share in my Video Guide To Profits videos (amongst many others), when you visit social bookmarking sites have a good long think about the keyword tags you are going to use, don’t use too many, 5 is ample. Actually thinking about it I think that’s the most you can do now on clipclip.org, before it used to be a lot more. Any ways, keep it at around 5 in any case. Before posting your tags run a search for the ones that you think is related to your niche, when the results show up take a look at the other tags people are using for their submissions, right click and open it in a new window tab, take a look at the page rank of that tagged page. Does it have a page rank? No, okay, keep trying and locate a tag that has a PR and write that down. Of course this is tiring too, but hey, it’s worth it. There are many social bookmarking sites out there that don’t have the “nofollow” attribute to stop the PR from being applied to your page, but in any case, the initial research you do will help the process of doing this again for future submissions a lot easier and of course, less time consuming.

If you’re starting out for the first time it is going to take a while to build up this resource. Back in the day when I was doing Viral Marketing, it took me years to gather over 4,000 highly responsive yahoogroup lists to post to, with a combined total of over 1,000,000 subscribers on them - of course, minus those that could be on the same lists. All the same, I found that each month that went by my list that I could post to was growing and so was the affiliate commissions I was making too. So it’s all good.

Oh, one more thing before I call it a day. RSS Feeds, not many people use these. If you have the cash, and you have prepared articles for several websites, think about setting up an RSS Feed for the new pages. I personally create my own and add links inside the descriptive text to get more one way back links than the norm. These RSS Feeds are then placed on my other related websites or a web page that is related which update automatically each time the page is visited. The good thing here is although the content from one RSS Feed’s website can provide more back links, the thing you need to think about is to avoid having this rss feed on a lot of pages that show the same content, although duplicate content is ok for websites, I still prefer to have random RSS Feed Item descriptions to be different on each page. I have a script that allows me to set a randomizer of which items it should display out of the many pages it displays. ie, on page 1, it may display Item 10, 20, 30, 40 and item 50. On page two, it may display item 1, 14, 17, 32, 27, and so on. This feature is also going to be added at some point in SEO Website Builder Pro too.

Keep updating this file so you can keep track.

All I am doing here is simply keeping track of where I have previously had approved articles on, jotting down the FULL URL to the article. Then the next day (like today), I submit some more articles to article directories and add one of these links to a new article post, then move on to the next article directory, and once again, copy the 2nd approved article and add that to the new article I posted today on the article directory.

I do this in the fashion where I take Keyword 1, create 5 articles around that keyword, post them on the first day to each article directory. Day 2, I’ll create 5 articles on Keyword 2, and add article keyword 1 link to this second article, along with 2 of my other pages of my blog or normal website inner pages in my bio section or within the body text (which ever is allowed by the article directory). Then some weeks later, what I am going to do is fetch all of the articles that I have posted on my blog, and article directories, and other 3rd party websites and import these into Website Content Wizard and spin these articles again to make them even more UNIQUE. These will be submitted out using Article Post Robot to heaps of article directories, excluding the ones that I have already posted to. Whilst using Website Content Wizard to create all the bio-sections, subject lines for me so I don’t have to.

This step is what a LOT of people miss. You see, why people miss this step is beyond me. It’s like as if they are wasting all their SEO efforts. All new pages indexed don’t really have much authority on them, It’s not good to just rely on the website in question authority status. Ok, sure, their pages will get indexed quickly, thus having your new pages indexed in a preferred timely fashion, or a back link counted more or less instantly (varies from search engine to search engine) as that new article from the authority article directory gets indexed.

We ALL get links to our own pages, why not to the articles that we post to these article directories or other sources? Is it that we feel that it’s not our website, why should we be helping them have their pages rank higher? Well, hey, don’t have that attitude. What we are doing here is funneling the PR to our pages AND increasing the importance factor of the article itself, which is then passed on to your article, pushing your article up even higher in the rankings.

Eventually we’re going to have more links pointing to our pages any way than the sources we get links from and in time your pages will rank higher and higher and remain stable beating everyone else, unless of course you’re in a competitive niche where rankings change all the time; another reason why I choose niches in the sector that pay high, there’s not many people out there that decide to go for niches that they feel people aren’t searching for things unless they have like thousnads of visitors a day.

Now, you know when you want to check to see where search engines have indexed your back links, let’s use google as they seem to be a little fussy which back links they want to show. I’ll give you a tip, something I noticed many months ago. And in essence, this is going back to the authoritive nature of how an article is ranked. How are they ranked? Votes right? Well, sure, amongst other things such as onpage factors, other points of relevancy, etc and how many links there are pointing to that document.

Sites that are regularly updated will be shown in googles back link index more or less all the time. Sure, for a while those links you get from places like goarticles, ezine articles are shown, but they don’t hang around for long? Why? Cos you’re not pointing links to them. Once you leave an article as is, published and that’s it, it’s like you sitting on some island on your own, with no company to have fun with. How boring.

Start pointing links to those articles you made on a regular basis, or every other week, it wont hurt and in fact holds far more power making your articles appear more relevant by giving it some link love.

As the weeks ahead come closer, you’ll see me using the same tactic here with these other places that I place content on. And even some other places that you wouldn’t think I would do. if you can think back, are there any other links that are left abondend, not including the forum links? If you can’t guess, the answer is, somewhere in the other posts here, but if you can’t find it, not to worry, it will be revealed in the posts in the near future.

As yesterday, I’ll post the images below, the first one is the traffic, with the average daily visitor count hitting 62 visitors a day. I got some more adsense clicks today before starting, not checked since then, but will give it another check tomorrow.

The next image shows my blog, I’ve blurred out the blog name and the text of the article and links used to ensure authenticity of the results that I show every day of the traffic received.

What I’ve done here today was removed one of the 468 x 60 banners from the top of the article, just under the first paragraph. Then hacked the wordpress code to allow the installed width for recent posts to show more than 15 recent posts at any one time, and added a 160 x 600 wide skyscraper to the left, 2nd virtical column, I’ve also added a blue lined border. I’m just testing something out, I don’t usually use blogs for adsense I don’t find that they convert as well for adsense clicks than normal websites. Any ways. The other 468 x 60 banner is just below the article, above the last paragraph. I decided that if these people are coming from search engine traffic, I’ve already got their attention and I didn’t want to put them off by displaying an advert just under the first paragraph and added one to the right in the column instead, to make it appear that it’s a part of the link navigation.

I’ll leave it like that for a while then test it again without the blue lined border.

Also notice the in-content links? K, as I mention before, it just gives the search engine the feeling that you know what you’re talking about, adding more points of referrences to futher increase user experience. It’s also a good SEO tactic as well to not just place these links anywhere, but to concentrate on the proximity of the links, ie, how far away is the link from another related keyword. This works especially well in Yahoo and MSN too. But just requires more links than Google.

Hi everyone, I bet some of you thought I given up right? heehee, nah, not me. Sorry about not continuing this last week I had some important stuff that I needed to attend to. Hope you all don’t mind.

Back to business, since this is the first day back, I’m gonna take it easy and get back into the grove, plus my excuse is my hours are completely messed up after doing 18+ hour days last week, it’s currently 1:45am right now, and woke up like 5 hours ago. So my mind isn’t all that with it to be honest.

* Submitted other pages that were published last week to social bookmarking sites

I would like to state one thing, this is not about dreaming up big numbers of traffic, i.e, finding which keywords get most searched, ranking in top position to automatically assume one is going to get that traffic. In fact, who ever tells you that if you get X amount of links, have X amount of keywords ranked in top position, you’ll get X amount of traffic. It’s complete poppy cock (nonsense). Later you’ll find this out yourselves as you start to rank for phrases that state have X amount of search volume for keyword phrases. More often than than not, you’ll get a small fraction of that traffic. And most cases you’ll rank for phrases that you didn’t even aim for.

I’m already ranking #1 for 3 and 4 worded phrases, when ran through keyword research tools these phrases are “supposed” to generate over 300 visitors a month.

I’ve enclosed an image that I will show below since this blog for some reason doesn’t want to show the images under text and wraps text around it making accompanied text hard to follow.

As you can see from the image, I’ve also included Organic results, 23 visitors so far from Google, a combined 12 keyword phrases, you do the math - sure doesn’t add up to 300 visitors a month does it? Right, my point exactly.

Bear in mind, the case study blog in the personal loans sector is only 18 days old. Don’t expect a miracle over night, it’s not going to happen, no matter what the Guru’s tell you.

I would like to remind people again the purpose of this case study as it appears that a few are misunderstanding what I am trying to show here and placing their SEO experience in front of what I’m doing adding 2 cents worth and making 5. It helps that everyone is on the same page here to avoid confusions.

First off, this is not about Conversion rates.

Secondly, this is not about how to monetize your website - although I have added Adsense here as an example since a lot of people these days place Adsense on their pages and it’s a start to have people hold on to something they can relate to.

Thirdly, it’s not about getting traffic from other 3rd party sites - however having traffic from 3rd party sites is always nice. If people want to spend time doing that, then one is going to need to spend as much time on forums like I do on my own, SEO Elite, Keyword Elite, Warrior Forum, PPC Classroom forum and leave the rest of what we are doing here alone.

This case study is about the methods used to get traffic from organic search results, ranking for keywords. Yes, you will find that some of the places that you place links on via these 3rd party sites will generate traffic. It’s been noted that some of the methods I use to get traffic to optimize my pages are not targeted traffic, we’ll they’re wrong. Over 70% of the links I get and provide content for these 3rd party sites are in fact 100% targeted. If that were not the case, then I wouldn’t have generated the visitors I have so far varing from 40 visitors a day up to 164 visitors.

Take note that on 9th May was my last post here before resuming again today.
May 10th - May 18th I did absolutely NOTHING, I had no time to, I was busy on another project. As you can see the traffic remained STEADY averaging around 50-60 visitors a day. Yesterday, blimey, traffic went through the roof.

If you take the time that I have put in already, which really isn’t much, approx 25-30 hours you will see results, slowly. No one said this is going to be easy, and it sure is time consuming.
After which you will see how long it takes for pages to get indexed, when you start receiving organic results from the search engines.

We have barely touched the rim of the ice burge here.

These results are realistic results, based on a few hours a day, and even having a week off like I have. I’m not going to dream up big numbers, dreaming isn’t going to give you those UNREALISTIC results.

On that note, the traffic I get for this particular sector of personal loans, is going to differ from other niches. No one niche is going to be the same and therefore you’ll have different results.

Alexa rank has jumped to 361,791 from 444,877, up by another 83,086 positions, almost hitting our target of 350,000 in 4 weeks.

Adsense earnings are “slowly” increasing too. $16.13 so far, few clicks day before yesterday and one yesterday, all still above the $1.00 mark.

Ok, let’s get some numbers out of the way.

May 9th (Day 9) you may remember me posting these numbers below - I’ve added underneath those with a hyphen to add today’s results, and added new ones from Keyword 4 - 8.

Tracking these keywords with SEO Elite comes in extremely handy, giving you a birds eye view of what needs work on. But before I start doing that I’m going to let nature take it’s course and continue with the main plan of getting links to our inner pages to build up an authority figure on them. That’s just me, others may have different rules of action - there really is no wrong or right way to go about doing this, I just prefer to do it in this order, starting something from start to finish - have a plan and stick to it, optimize what I can while combining keyword phrases which gives me two bits of the same apple.

ie,

If I hyperlink a keyword “personal Loans” and Hyper link “Faxless Personal Loans” I’m killing two birds at the same time for the same page.

It’s the same method I have used with “SEO Website Builder Pro”, I also rank for “SEO Website Builder” in google too. Well, yesterday I was, but google has just now gave me an indented result for “SEO Website Builder” and placed me 11th & 12th, but wont be long before that gets pushed to the top middle of the first page taking up some serious real estate with the indented results.

Any ways up, that’s about it for now. As soon as I can get my head back in gear I’ll add some more recaps of what we are doing.

Hey everyone, hope all is well.

oh man, thank god for firefox’s built in spell checker…lol my spelling is bad..

Ok, Alexa Rank jumped another 75,860 more positions to 444,877 an increase of over 150,000 positions in two days.

Yesterday we hit the 125 visitor a day mark. Gonna aim for 200 by end of next week, let’s see how we get on.

Ok, want to hear the good news? All of the posts now have been indexed and the new posts are being indexed now in less than 1 hour, that’s without ANY BACKLINKS to that article!

The Keywords that I’m aiming for are highly competitive, two worded and three worded phrases (sure, for beginners it’s suggested to go for long tailed keyword phrases, ie, 3-5 worded phrases until they get the hang of things). Now on that basis that I do this every day just for a couple of hours within say 2-4 months getting top page ranking for these phrases should by all rights be attainable. Consistency is the key. Well, so is determination, bucket loads. Sure it’s tiring and very monotonous but once you start seeing the results it’s quite rewarding and motivation enough to keep on trucking. So don’t give up yet ok, there’s still more to come. LOT MORE!

As I say next week we’re going to concentrate on Offpage SEO to help these newly made pages rank to the top of Google, MSN, and Yahoo. What we’re going to do is referred to by many; Link-Funneling, or creating a Link Matrix of sorts. Both fancy words, but I still prefer to call it: “Semantically Related Themed Linking”, sounds posher. And in all reality, it’s what we are actually doing.

Link Funneling, or Matrix Linking can be loosely described as just getting links in any old fashion not taking into account the onpage factors that reside on these 3rd party sites that help the ranking process for our inner pages on our Blogs or Normal websites, some use the term a as method to pass on page rank to your sites by pointing other links from 3rd party sites to other 3rd party sites that link to yours. Hence why I refer to the Phrase “Semantically Related Themed Linking” because it’s more apt to what we are trying to accomplish here, we’re doing both at the same time. Creating a never ending stream of links pointing to other pages that are also related to enhance that user experience.

Any hows, MSN & Yahoo will take a little longer in my experience, but as soon as the links pointing back to each page start to build up, i.e 100-500 one-way back links these rankings in MSN and Yahoo will start to show up. I could speed things up by going to Live spaces (MSN’s blogs), or My Yahoo (Yahoo’s custom page where you can add your own rss feeds on, in fact I recommend that people took a look at how to do that as it also helps speed up things).

Today I started to run these keywords through SEO Elite on a project that allows you to see where you are ranking for a particular phrase. Yesterday there were two keywords almost located in No-man’s land. And today another keyword shows up as being found.
I’ll probably run these every 2nd day and see how we get on and if any new pages show up.

Pretty boring stuff so far innit. No one said SEO and getting traffic was glamorous Well, I suppose it is as the money starts to roll in.

I ran into a problem today, Jon Leger’s server was down, so that put a dampen on things to create the articles, but not to worry I got most what I wanted to get done any way.

Ok now below shows the process, a flow chart if you will of what we have done so far in the terms of linking.
This is Step one. I could create a HUGE flow chart but it would be difficult to see what is what, so over the coming days a new one will be made adding another process to the flow chart which should make it easier to follow. I apologise for the way the images have come out, for some reason this blog template wont display them properly with the text underneath, I’ve tried every aligning property there is and doesn’t do anything other than display it as it looks below with all the text pushed to the left. So I hope you can understand / follow the paragraphs beside each image.

As you can see, the one in the middle is our Website showing its home page and pages already published. I’m just going to list a few here to give you the general idea of what’s going on, duplicate this process for each and every single page.

Here’s step two. Step two below refers to the related forums that I was talking about in the other posts here. All these links are pointing not only just to the home page, but all the posts that have been made so far. This process alone I clocked up over 100 links from .com’s, .edu’s, and even some .gov’s

How long you spend on each page is totally up to you. But I would suggest at least 2-3 weeks. Not just one page, but a few of them at the same time.

Remember in the previous posts of this case study, including today, I’ve been preparing articles for article directories, and just today Blogs?

Step 3 shows the same process as step two but this time for Blogs. Pretty simple stuff so far right? Cool.

And lastly, step 4 shows the same thing really but for Social Bookmarking sites.

Now I could of shown the image that looks like the last image “Final So far”, but man, talk about hard to work out…lol And I just realised that I just missed out another process. D’oh, for link directories. My Bad. any ways, just think there is one here for the moment…lol

The preparation of these articles are revolving around the topic at hand that each page is about. I’ve now got 5 different versions of the same topic for 12 Keywords (published article pages), yup, 60 articles. These are going to be used to allow us to control the keyword prominence and relevancy factor.

The things you need to concentrate on now is ensuring that the title, the first 20 or so words contain your main keyword that MATCHES the published article on your site or Blog and it also has these words towards the end of each article, while saving the article as the keyword phrase, generally most article directories save the article as the title any way, however some don’t.
The reason for doing this is search engines mainly focus on the first paragraph and last paragraph when retrieving text to display in it’s description area, the reason for this I can only guess to save the processing time as it would take on extra strain of these search engines to scan every piece of text. I’m not saying that it doesn’t scan the middle part of your document, I’m pretty sure that it does, but it’s not it’s main priority, and retrieving text from the first and last paragraph is a lot faster.

In the image above we also have Link Directories (well, sorry, I forgot to add that part, will do tomorrow), Social Bookmarking Websites, Forums and Blogs.

One way linking takes place from Link directories to our Home page of the Blog or website we’re working on. However, don’t just stop there, think outside the box… When you get an email back from the Link Directory Owner showing you where your link is… COPY IT, save it to a file “link-directory-approved-submission.txt”. We’re going to use these later.

Do the same for Social Bookmarking sites…. “socialbookmarking-submission-links.txt”. These links will be the actual story link of the submission you made for your Home Page or your Inner pages.
ie digg.com/Educational/Your_Keyword_Phrase_Story, and we’re going to point links to it.

However, BEFORE doing this, if you are using Firefox, which from my stats over 70% of the readers here are, download the Firefox plugin called “search Status” at: http://www.quirk.biz/searchstatus/
Once you install it, right click the @ symbol in your task bar near your PC clock and turn on “Highlight Nofollow Links”, and turn it off once you know which site has the nofollow, and turn it back on again when you’re on another site.
We want to ensure that we can get the page rank to pass down on to our pages. Doing this for sites that have the nofollow is just pointless and a waste of our time. The site in question is the only one that is going to benefit from here.
Site’s that have the nofollow attribute on them, still count as a link, but the weight applied to it is VERY SMALL. But it’s still a link.

Question, how many here do this? I bet if we were all honest with ourselves a lot of us don’t, we just submit a link to these places and leave it as that right? You betcha! Listen, Link Directories and some social bookmarking sites don’t hold that much power, so what we need to do is give them an extra push. Make that story linked submission to these social bookmarking sites more important in the eyes of the Search Engines. Remember, Votes (a link pointing to your page) are what make you climb higher in the search engines. If you can help your submitted pages climb higher, the more weight of importance is applied to it which in turn funnels down on to the page on your blog or website. With me so far? Great!

The forums and blogs can left just be as is, we’re not going to worry about those since blogs and forums get lots of posts on them any way that have other people’s links on there, so I don’t want to help any of those if I can avoid it. Rotten sod aren’t I?

And below shows Article Directory Step One - just want to show you what’s up and coming for next week so you can get your head around it now rather than later.

Ok, the new sections are highlighted in Blue. You can see these are article directories.

Now here’s the thing that most people are doing wrong when they post articles. Put your hand up if you post articles and leave it as that; post and leave? I reckons over 99% of those in the industry, even some so called acclaimed SEO Experts don’t bother either. Well, here’s something they can learn.

See those article directories, labeled Ad Post 1, Ad Post 2, Ad Post 3, Ad Post 4, Ad Post 5?
K, each of these articles are like Keyword 1, Keyword 2, etc that point to our Blogs / Websites pages that are about Keyword 1, Keyword 2, etc. Some article directories will allow you to have 3 links pointing to your pages, so that’s why I have added 3 lines pointing to our pages.

That’s from article directory 1. Step 3 will show you article directory 2 in the up and coming posts. No.. We’re FAR FAR from being finished yet, we’ve only just started creating our Offpage Semantically Themed Linking Structures.

Now how you go about this is up to you. We could go to GoArticles.com FIRST which get approved immediately. And Post 5 articles there. Copy those links and save them to text pad.

When Ezine articles and other article directory articles get approved, ie, like Ezinearticles can take up to about 7 days to approve an article. But lets assume our articles have been approved, we get a link to notify us of where it is. Or we can check back 7 days later and find them via our profile area, right? K, now create a text file called “article-directory-link-posts.txt”

Then jot them down in this kind of fashion…

Keep updating this file so you can keep track.

Now the purpose of doing this is not only to build up the importance factor of each of these articles and build up it’s PR which is soon to be applied to your article on your website (we’ll, it’s more or less immediate as that article is indexed and as other pages link to it but just doesn’t show up on your toolbar until the next PR update), but to give you an idea of what is needed to rank for particular phrases on first page.
If you’re not on the first page or ranking first place, you need to do some more work.

You might find that some keyword phrases will only take a few, some up to as many as 50 or so article back links in this fashion. BUT don’t neglect your own pages as well, try and get in a momentum where you point links to your pages as well, via the same methods as previously explained; forums, blogs, and link directories. Really mix it up, if you can get loads of Domain’s IP addresses linking to you, the better. Remember, it’s not just links from the same places that count as a vote, but how many different IP addresses you can get pointing to your site’s inner pages and home page. Okey doke?

Ok, today it’s one of those days, not really in the mood to be honest, wasn’t feeling too well yesterday any hows and motivation is a bit shot.

* Signed up to socialmarkers list of sites, pretty much wasted my time.
* Submitted again to Onlywire’s service, not so time consuming as the latter.
* Traffic received before starting, 71 visits.
* Finished for the day, traffic received 45 visits
* Finished for the day - time spent on project 2 hours 49 minutes

One thing I have noticed is the Alexa Rank jumped another 89,413 positions to 520,737, which is cool. So we’re almost there to reach our target of 350,000 within 4 weeks. And we hit our 100 visitor mark yesterday and today already. All within one week for a total of 516 visits.

No adsense clicks today, oh hum, not to worry.

ALL of the blogs articles are now FULLY indexed as of this morning. And approx 7% or so of the sites I got link backs from are showing up in google.
It’ll probably take a little while for all of these other 100+ backlinks received so far start to take affect. And prolly around 1-2 more weeks before I start seeing some search engine traffic.

Next week we’re gonna start doing the hard core stuff, not only are we going to receive more traffic, but we’re going to optimize EVERY single one of our pages through Offpage SEO. And I’ll show you what mistakes the people make in the hope that if there are any Novice - Intermediate SEO’ers here don’t make them.

Ok, In-content Linking. I didn’t get many people replying back to the post the other day which leaves me to only assume that not many people know and what the logic is behind in-content linking.

In-content linking is the process in which a keyword is found on your page that is hyperlinked to another page that is related to that keyword.
In other words, it’s a anchor text link. The HTML code A is the Anchor, href is the hyper text reference. In-content Linking is the most powerful form of ONPAGE SEO there is.

ie.

<a href=”http://www.somedomain.com/”>Your Keyword Phrase</a>

The logic behind in-content linking is to create a semantically related theme structure, some professional search engine optimizers refer to them as “Theme Vectoring”.
Personally. I think “Semantically theme vector structures” is a better name, sounds a bit more flash too.

A semantically theme vector structure is the process where you hyper link a keyword to another page / document that is relevant giving it a point of reference to material that could further increase user experience. Take a look at wikipedia for a better example.

The term user experience I think of it as helping the visitor expand on their current skill set so they walk away with more knowledge. In fact it’s been this way before search engines were being used. People were linking up keywords, or any ole word to another page that was deemed relevant by the webmaster.

As these links are made from website A, to Website A’s 2nd page, then to someone elses page, and so on and so on, creates a huge line of references and as each time a link like this is found, the original article builds more and more weight helping it rank even higher.

So starting next week, we’re going to do the same thing, we’re not going to do what 99% of the others do out there, we’re going to create articles, create the pages, hyperlink up keywords to our blog pages, and link up other pages to these 3rd party sites that we work on in the coming weeks. As we start working on helping these other pages rank higher and gain a page rank, the better it will be for our blog which will absorb the PR. PR is not going to help us rank, but it will help our pages get indexed quicker. It can be argued that PR does help you rank but I have proven many times over in my Video Guide To Profit videos that PR means diddly in the terms of search engine ranking since I’m outranking PR3-6 websites on a PR0 page.

Hmm, what do you want to hear first? Traffic, Pages indexed or Adsense?

Hmm, let’s start with the traffic.

Below shows an image of yesterday’s traffic, which doesn’t seem to have gone up much. But today, before starting this case study, we’re at 72 visitors already. So that’s a good sign.

Pages indexed so far. 4 more pages were indexed yesterday or early today, so I think the feedburner made a huge difference when I altered the setting to show all the posts being made on the new blog while submitting the feedburner feed URL out to over 120 RSS Feeds using RSS SUBMIT. I could of used Google Alerts to paste in the URL of the post in the Alert to see when it gets indexed, or when other sites link to it. But in all honesty, I’m not really bothered about that kinda stuff. I know where and how to get traffic and how to get my pages indexed FAST.

As I say yesterday, it takes about a week to get a fully indexed blog if it’s a totally new domain. We’re 3 more pages from being fully indexed. However it is possible to get a new domain indexed within 24 hours, but the problem you may notice, is one minute it’s there, the next, it’s not. That’s google for you. It would appear that it takes your urls, processes them, removes them for further analysis, then once finished, fully indexes your site based on where you get your links from, and how fast it indexes your pages on how regular the content is.

Ok, the good bit. Adsense earnings. Before starting I logged in to my Adsense Business Account (my 2nd account) and noticed something, not a shock really, but was surprised that the methods I use to get high paying clicks still works, well, not really surprised, I know my methodology to get high paying clicks makes sense that I show to my Video Guide To Profit members, but surprised to the stability of these clicks and regularity of how high they are. With all this nonsense going on saying how Google is in trouble, stock prices are coming down, Adword Costs per click are going up, traffic from adwords is going down, and all that jazz, Adsense publishers complaining not getting the clicks they once were, or not getting high paying clicks and automatically assume that Google is not a choice that people would rather have to monitize their websites and find other alternatives like Adbrite, Yahoo Beta Ads, etc.

Ok, I admit, Google is a bit of a dark horse and working them out is bloody hard at best of times. But after some thought when I sign off for the day (when I think better relaxing) Google in fact is getting a lot stronger than some take for notice.

In fact all this stuff going on is really good news for Adsense publishers. And these images below is a testimony of that.

Today, I made $6.29. That’s an average of $2.09 a CLICK! Yeah-baby! How ya like those Apples? Who said Adsense was dead.
Oh, BTW. I made one modification to my Blog yesterday after finishing. I added a 768×90 banner across the top of each post. I think this made a HUGE difference. Whether it will stay consistant, only time will tell and what type of effort we put into place.

Below shows the total, $9.08, via 6 clicks, an average of $1.51 per click. Not bad eh? And we’ve only just started. How many people struggle to make that in a week, or a month? I’m by far from gloating here. But more to show you that these methods I use day in, day out, WORK!

Guys, Gals, listen. A lot of people fail because they don’t stick to a plan. I hope that when you see these case studies over the course of the next 11 more weeks, you’ll see what can actually be made from one website / blog IF we stick to our guns and have a plan. This is one of the reasons why I am doing this case study to show / help you all that if you have a plan, follow what I have laid out here, which I could easily sell for $997.00 for the course, you’ll make a lot of money. I guarantee it. I guarantee that it works if the plan is followed, not just for one day, or one week, or one month, but ALL THE TIME!

* Submitted blog to 8 more forums using the search function explained in Blog Case Study Day 4

* Finished for the day - Time spent 4 hours 22 minutes.

So, recap.

Keyword Research with Keyword Elite. We entered the main seed keyword, a very broad term and run a list of around 10,000 keywords with it using Google Suggestion Tool, Freekeywords WT, Yahoo and Ask.

We then filtered out those keywords based on any crap we found, or keywords that are way way too long and kept ones that are around 1 - 6 phrased words in length.
Then we ran project 2 to find those high paying clicks.

I would show you the formula that I use to get these high paying clicks, but it’s unfair to provide those for free since Video Guide To Profit members paid to see that stuff, plus some other tips. I’m not pluggin Video Guide To Profits, and I know it’s expensive for some at $127.00 soon to rise to $167.00. So I’ve made some more videos in another product launch called Adsense Igniter (VGTP members get those for free as soon as I get a chance to upload 750MB worth of videos, around 40 more) which is much less and more of a compacted course, however it doesn’t show you how to build sites, create graphics, onpage and offpage advanced seo.

So how do we find those high paying niches? We’re basically looking for high paying professions, services or products. I generally get a lot of my ideas when adverts come on the TV and jot them down, and run those through Keyword Elite.

Then we start using Instant Article Wizard, or Instant Article Wizard Pro 2.20. They are both desktop versions, but the pro version takes the sentences and constructs the paragraphs for you on the fly and all you have to do is choose which one you want. Both are great tools. But the pro version is just a little bit quicker.

After we installed our blog, or found a free template to add to our normal website, we start adding these articles one a day for the time being.

Once we’ve done that, we then start creating a RSS feed, if you’re not using a blog, or use the blog’s rss feed and submit these out to RSS Feed directories, and also used Feedburner services as well, if you’re not using feed burner then you are missing out. We also signed up to Technorati as well so the pings we make do us some good.

Next we submit our blog, or our main website and over the days the article page urls as well to social bookmarking sites doing or best to ensure that the descriptions we use are mostly unique, this is where Instant Article Wizard or Instant Article Wizard Pro comes in, we can use snippets from those we haven’t used before (note: make sure that your settings are set to remove the choosen snippet first).

While we are doing that, we’re hunting for forums, as shown in Day 4 using special search functions to find forums. Again we use the snippets from our SAVED projects, yup, don’t forget to save those projects when you use IAW. They come in handy for later.

to add to the list we’re also submitting to link directories as well, DAILY! Directory Submitter FULL is a great tool, and has over 3000 link directories to use, and over 1600 of them are reciprocal FREE directories.

Whilst all the above is going on, we’re also creating extra articles to prepare to send to article directories later in the week.

But it doesn’t stop there. We haven’t even got to the other areas yet. In fact not even half of the sources I use.

As the days go by, you need to really pay close attention. I’ll even draw up a flow chart of what we are doing as things start to get difficult, and they will be made in a gradual progression as we do things rather than giving you one large flow chart that’s hard to follow. This way you can see what’s going on and the steps we take before it starts looking like Piccadilly Underground Train station map…lol

Average Alexa Rank has gone from unranked to 610,150 in just a few days. So we’re half way there within a week of our main goal of 4 weeks.

No Adsense clicks yet, but I’m not really worried at this point, first goal is to get over 100 visitors a day, which wont belong at this rate. Besides, not all of my blog posts have been indexed yet since this is a new blog. I’ve noticed that generally new blogs take about a week to be FULLY indexed.

Visitor count doubled yesterday, from 30 to 77 and we still haven’t even got half way through the list to drive even more traffic to our Blog. In the coming weeks it’s gonna start getting confusing and we’re gonna need to track EVERYTHING we do, where we posted, what the links were so we can use these to create a semantically related theme structure around our topic.

How many of us use blog ping urls? What are they?

Blog Ping urls is basically a process when you make a post on your blog, there’s a setting there that asks you if you want to ping out to services to let them know that you just made a post.

Places like Technorati, which you have to join first in order for it to take any effect. Your blog post url is appended to this url and adds your page to their website. Some sites keep your url in plain sight, others tapper off after 100 or so sites have been pinged and end up on page 2 - infinity. Other just truncation after 100 links have been pinged by other blogs. Nevertheless, it helps the process of search engine bots to crawl those pinged sites which then in turn crawls your blog. This is why blogs are so popular, it automates the process of getting links from other sites to start the search engine bot crawling process. Did you know, that you didn’t have to have a blog to ping to these services? Yup, this is what SEO Website Builder Pro does.

The more links you have out there, whether it be by the process of blog and ping urls, or manually submitting those blog pages to various places speeds up the indexing process.

However, this isn’t always the case on new blogs. It can take a little while and several passes of the search engine bot to come over and fully index your new pages. So don’t panic, you’re not doing anything wrong if you’re following these case study posts. It’s a natural thing to see. My new blog is only 10 or so days old and 3 of the 8 are indexed so far.

This SEO Revolution blog you’re reading from has its pages indexed in less than 10 minutes after it’s been posted, only because there are more links out there and bots are using up more bandwidth than visitors at the moment, even though this blog gets 150-220 visitors a day to it since March 20th, approx 7 weeks with just a few posts.

I submitted to feedburner the other day and I realized that I made a mistake in one of the settings, setting the feed to be used as Events, which I haven’t got a clue what it does, any way, my feed now shows up properly so hopefully this will help the indexing process speed up even more now it’s fully attached to feedburner, so what I may do is add this feedburner RSS feed url of the new blog and submit them out to rss feed directories and see if this helps speed up the process. I also haven’t submitted to any of the popular social bookmarking sites yet, but will today. The other social bookmarking sites were ones I were testing out to see if they had much power to index pages immediately like Digg and Netscape.

BTW, here’s the blog and Ping URLS… remove any dead ping urls you have and use these blog.
How can you tell if any of them are dead? Well, there’s a wordpress plugin called: MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer 1.5

Run a google search for it. You need it. It’s easy to install plus you need to join up to use the service which only takes a few moments. Once installed it will create a Ping Log, which takes about 1-10 minutes depending on the size of the ping list urls you are using, and will report back to you whether or not it was successful. Remove any of the unsuccessful ones immediately as you come across them. The ping list below submit out to approximately 40 ping services combined and they ALL work as they were tested last night.

The top one is the default you see in wordpress which submits to around 10-20 more services.

Important thing to note, you may remember in the other case study posts I mention that if you make more than one post via your blog or have it set to post more than one each day automatically, make sure that before publishing it to be scheduled to post out at a future date, ensure that your first post doesn’t ping any of the ping services, and your second post does!

If you keep pinging these services for each post you make you could end up banning your blog from these places. So be careful. Another thing to note too is when you edit your posts, unselect the “allow pings” check box before saving the edited post. There is a plugin that automatically disables the ping feature on a post that has already been published should it need to be edited. If you go to wordpress plugin website you should find it without any problem since it’s a rather popular plugin. If you have problems finding it. type in: Smart Update Pinger

Meta tags, not really important and don’t really have much bearing on where you rank, keyword meta tags are pointless regardless what other people say to you. The ONLY thing that keyword meta tags help is better keyword targeting for your Adsense Ads, but here’s the thing. Google Adsense is getting better I have noticed showing the correct adverts. But one thing you need to be aware of, if your pages do not get enough traffic then different adverts will show up.

So to speed up the indexing process and crawl rate of search engine bots, use this code below. When I tested this out below about 18 months ago, man, you should see the amount of bots I get hitting to my sites on a daily basis, it’s crazy! Before I only used to have around 4 or so search engines hitting my sites, but now it’s way in the 15-20 area each month. You’ll even notice this code below on this blog as well and this is another trick to get pages indexed quickly!

Ok, well, today really isn’t day 5, but let’s make it Day 5 any way.
I figure that the more realistic I can make this the better. Over the weekend other things came up, so this situation of mine is most probably no different to anyone else, we all have things to do, have a life and do things on the weekend. So I figure from now on what I will do is do Monday - Friday reports instead and rather than doing this for 28-30 days. I’ll do this project for 12 weeks. How’s that sound? Good?

Below you can see the traffic I received, take note of 3rd may (Saturday) and 4th May (Sunday), 31 & 30 visitors, respectively. Not bad for doing nothing eh? That’s residual traffic.

Now, the problem, well, not really a problem to be honest, at least not at this stage, I didn’t receive any adsense clicks. Oh hum.

So, a question would arise, why? It could be due to the placement of the ads, so what I will do later in the week is do some adsense placement testing to see if I can squeeze some more clicks out of the site. Not just the placements I might add, but which type of ad formats I should use. And it’s still early days yet any how. And having saying that, I tend to create normal websites which in my personal experience tends to convert a lot better than blogs…

So I think before worrying about where I should place these ads, I will concentrate on the ad format for now, then worry about the placement later.
This is split testing guys, it’s very important. It’s also important not to fill your pages up with ads as well, higher the impressions you receive, less you get and lower your CTR will be. If your CTR gets too low, then your account could be questioned and possibly closed. So take those thoughts into consideration when you create sites, not just for adsense, but proper informational websites.

Okey dokey then…

Our return visitor has increased from 1.61 to 2.56 Visitors per visitor.

5th May (Day 5)

I don’t normally like paying for services. I started online with no money at all and made a lot through Marketing and grew it from there.
But hey, this site looked good and if they turn out to be quite good, I’ll let you know of the url.

Now next week, I want you to pay real close attention. I’m going to reveal the one major mistake that people make when they submit to article directories and other places that people post full articles or article snippets on. Can you guess what it is? I know you’re smart enough and read a lot of forums online, though you may not have heard it before other than what I have said in SEO Elite, or Keyword Elite forum, or my very own forum. Crikey… you’re missing out if you haven’t.

In fact, I know that very few people do this. This type of strategy is no different to my Marketing Strategy when I was fully into it on a full time basis. It was also revealed on another site recently and I was like, hmm, is this guy taking credit for my ideas…lol nah, can’t be, he’s been doing it for years just as I have. Now this method is rock solid. It’s not just a free traffic generation tactic, but it also builds authority on your articles and increases your indexing rate AND keyword rankings. Which then in turn, should you create your articles in a fashion that’s not just talking about one keyword prhase, but other related words also, as this is very important when creating your articles, but the type of in-content linking.

Does anyone know what in-content linking is? And what it does in the eyes of the search engines? Let me know of your thoughts. If you don’t know, don’t be shy, there really is no right or wrong answer here if you’re new to this stuff. Well, it’s another one of those days, motivation is, well, hardly non-existent. Things are so much easier when they’re automated.

Any way I’m gonna call it short for the day bit busy with other stuff that I need to take care of.

2nd May (Day 4)

* searched for more social bookmarking sites
* Submitted blog to more 27 link directories
* Created more article snippets for forum replies
* Got 9 forum back links, and some on .edu domains.
* Traffic received before starting 15 visits
* Adsense earned so far for May 1st (Day 3) $2.22
* Traffic received after finishing for the day 43 visits
* Finished for the day - time spent on project 2 hours 21 minutes

Recap.

As you can see, this is pretty much all we do to get traffic and do offpage SEO.
Locate Social Bookmarking sites and post your page, one a day or every other day and take note of those you submitted to.
Find Forums and blogs and submit comments and or article snippets.
Obviously there’s a lot more yet that I haven’t even mentioned of, we’ll get to those towards the end of next week.

So, so far, April Unique Visitor Count for 29th & 30th April = 47. May 1st & 2nd = 104. We’ve almost tripled our visitor count. And averaging 1.61 visitors / visit.

Take some time to check the PR on the forum and then find an OLD post, and or an old thread that has been updated and just say thanks for the info, or what ever, but don’t forget to put your signature file in your profile area first before posting.
I anticipate that by the end of these 30 days, my potential PR will be PR3-5. If I kept at it for 60-90 days, PR5 shouldn’t be a problem.

Ok, I wasn’t really in the mood today, rather slow day.

Recap for yesterday:

April unique visitors = 47. Number of visits 66. 1.4 visits / visitor
April 29th 12 Visits. The next day, April 30th, Visits almost quadrupled with 45 visits.

The 66 visitors noted here in the picture below are ALSO taking note of the visitor count on April 22nd, 23rd, and 26th. These can be
ignored as I was testing out the new Wordpress 2.5.1 installation. But these will be included since the results will not be
skewed by that much since there were online 9 visits during that time.

Couple of notes: Onlywire.com, not as good as it once were, all sites used to work, but now: Blogmemes, Blue Dot, Excites, Linkroll, Looklater, ma.gnolia, Rawsugar, Shadows, unalog and xilinus are now social bookmarking sites that don’t load, or site hasn’t been renewed, or no longer receiving sign ups, or have some really weird login requirements. So that left with 12 out of 22 that could be posted to. Wasted almost 45 minutes here and this is what put me off my motivation - I get like that…lol Any way, 12 sites is 12 sites I guess. Tomorrow is another day.

Forums: Entered two special search function in google to find forums related to the keywords I want to rank for and drive free traffic to the blog and hopefully earn some adsense money. During signing up I used Website Content wizard to create variations of a signature file with anchor text linking not only to my top level blog domain, but the posts that have been made so far. Then I used Instant Article Wizard Pro to run a search for a term used in the forum post that I am about to quote, and link up the keyword in text found with instant article wizard to my LTD (Top level Domain, ie, somedomain.com ) and the posts already published automatically using the Wordpress Auto-post scheduler.

Since most phpbb forums only allow 255 chars in signature file, I had to pull out Microsoft word and work out how many chars i could fit in the forum sig file. What I decided I would do is make sure that every forum post has at least my top level domain added in the sig, while alternating the previously published pages in the sig’s so there always 2 links there. While adding 4 of my links of posts already made to my blog about personal loans in some other posts since some forums didn’t allow a sig.

1st May (Day 3)

* Started at 9:54am
* Submit Blog to 37 Link Directories (most time consuming), then had to confirm some listings, 1 hour time spent overall.
* Submitted Top level domain to 12 Social Bookmarking websites (most time consuming). Using Only Wire. 10 Sites out of 22 were down.
* Submitted blog to 9 forums quoting replies asking about a particular keyword related topic. (most time consuming) using a special search engine command to find forums.
* Traffic received before starting 9 visits.
* Traffic received after finishing for the day - 33 visits.
* Finished for the day - Time spent on project 3 hours 58 minutes.

The Good News is that today wasn’t a complete waste of time. Below is what I earned from ONE CLICK!

I had to take out the other details due to Google TOS. $1.58 from one click… not bad eh? Anyone care to Guestimate what the total income will be in 4 weeks from now for a day’s earnings?

Over the past few weeks I’ve been reading forums, blogs, and reviewing what people have asked me via my forum, or email. The basic question that was asked, was, how do I build traffic to my newly installed blog.

So, I figured for the next 28-30 days I’ll create a post of exactly what I have done, how many places I submitted my newly installed blog, what my goals are.

At the end of the case study, I’ll post a link to a file of all the places that I went to that gave me the traffic so you can use these too.

Below, is Day 1 of the case study that started yesterday and below that will be Day 2, tomorrow I will post Day 3’s Journal.

* Traffic Received just before calling it a day 27 hits (2:40pm)
