Dear Natalie,

If you read yesterday’s post, you’ll realize that I try not to answer “in the future…” questions. On the other hand, it is always interesting to see what comes up.

You’ve been hanging  onto memories of a guy who isn’t there for you.  He seems to be someone who is what I call a “coaster.”  He hangs out, never gets much done, lives by his looks or his money or both and doesn’t motivate to accomplish much of anything.  What I’m being shown, however, is that he is about due for an emotional crash. 

Your angels are suggesting you let go of the past and realize that you are blocking the path for someone new to show up in your life. The challenge is someone new won’t show up while you are holding onto someone “old.”  It’s up to you to let go so you can move on.

 Currently, I have a good dozen questions awaiting an answer from people I don’t know. Half of them ask questions beginning with a “when.” 

The challenge of a “when” question follows:

1.  When something happens depends upon you. What is your real attitude behind the question? What do you really want?  What are you holding back from acknowledging about yourself that might prevent you from moving forward? What are you afraid of that might block the answer?

These questions are what I answer to throw the ball back into your court. The angels and I are here to encourage you to step into bigger shoes. To move through the barricades of what you have been taught.

2.  You are the creator of your universe, whether you accept this or not. We are each in control (or not) of what we create. Even those of us who like to slide the blame over to someone else might have to admit to ourselves that we could have done something differently. If we did, we would have created a different result.

3.  There are plenty of psychics who will be happy to tell you exactly when something will happen. If it were all true, I for one, would have won the lottery several times already.  I would still be living in what I thought was paradise.  Mr. Wonderful would be cuddled up with me at night.

If you must ask a “when” question, please understand that I will read for you, but everything depends upon your attitude. If you carry with you leftover negativity based on your difficult childhood, you will walk around hunched over from the weight you have chosen not to release.

Once again, I believe we each create our universe. I know there are those of you who have been hit hard by life. It is not your fault if you are one of these unfortunate beings. All you can do is pick yourself up and do the best you can for today with a smile on your face, making the best out of unfortunate, sometimes brutal, experiences. I know now that forgiving the unforgivable is the only answer to peace of mind. Most of us are not willing to go there however.

We all know that how we deal with what comes up for us is the answer to creating happiness.  Two of us can have exactly the same experience, and one will brush himself off and walk ahead. The other will sit on the side for the rest of his life expecting to “get it” again.  The sad truth is because he expects it, he will.

Don’t be this person. No matter how you feel today, tomorrow can be better. I want to change “ask and you’ll receive,” to “expect and you’ll receive.” What if simply by expecting wonderful things to happen to you, they begin to occur? What if you can change your life today, by changing your face from an inverted U to a big grin of expecting exactly what you want to happen? And what if it does?

And for the pessimist – What if it doesn’t?  You’ll be no worse off than before.

“I’m thinking about a current situation where there seems to be a lot of emotional and sexual tension and strong connection/attraction between me and a person named John (whom I don’t know) but who is at this place that I frequent.  What’s going on here?”  Terry, Bonita, CA

Dear Terry,

Although you seem to be holding yourself together, you appear to be in a place of deep sadness. You’ve got some ongoing issues in your life that you haven’t dealt with in a way that relaxes you and allows you smile through your day. 

Are you living a life that doesn’t feel right for you? Whatever you have been taught about yourself is what is holding you back. Notice if you are listening to the old “rules” that no longer apply. You would love to fall in love but you keep pushing it back. You allow yourself to step back into the shadows when you really want to come forward.

In spite of this attraction, you are ready to let go, which your angels share is the right thing for today. You are being guided to move on, to let go.  Could this be not just for this flirtatious attraction, but for something else?  You are ready. The attraction with John is simply a way for the Universe to bump you up a notch.  Whoever you are with now is not working for you.

“Will Joe be asked to go back to the job he was made redundant from?”  Gwen, Nottingham, UK

Dear Gwen,

You seemed to be stressed to the max and concerned that your financial house of cards could give way shortly. It appears as if you are in a position of not making enough money to keep you both happy but you are competent and respected wherever you work.

Your guy, Joe, is definitely worried.  On the other hand, he is someone who is more laid back than you.  He can’t seem to make up his mind as to what he wants to do and where he wants to do it.  This state of indecision is holding up the process.   Better he lets go completely and trusts in the divine process of allowing the Universe to guide him while he continues to make an effort to find a job. 

There is more to this that what showed up at first. Could it be that Joe has a challenge with alcohol or drugs?  It looks as if it is time for him to look elsewhere for a position. There was something or someone in his old job that didn’t like his behavior. It is time for him to be honest with himself and acknowledge his part in his dismissal instead of holding a grudge against his old company. Then he can move forward and find a job that brings him the money he deserves. His personality is fun and he seems to have the ability to make friends.

A good job will show up if he follows through.

Dear Angels,,

“Will I ever be able to let go of that tension that I feel when I talk to my father? I feel that there is such a negative energy between us as if both parties unconsciously aim to hurt each other. Is this one of my tasks in life to overcome this behavior?”  Cordula, Aurora, Ontario

Dear Cordula,

Your relationship with your father has come to a head. You have been holding onto this relationship for years when in fact, it never did work. The emotional brouhaha that occurs when you two interact, stems from one or both of you acting as if things are okay between you when they never were. Notice if you both act as if you want to be friends, as if you are concerned with the emotional well-being of the other, when in fact, you are busy backing off while your ego is patting you on the back for being open-minded and coming forward.

Ask your Self, “Is it time to let go of this non-working relationship?”  It seems to me there are three ways to handles this.

The first is to have a talk with dad about how you feel and how he feels and see what comes up. At least it will clear the air. What if you and dad have a heart to heart talk honestly expressing what you feel without finger pointing? 

The second is to detach completely.   This is a major issue, perhaps from lifetimes of interaction.  Maybe it is time to let go of this destructive behavior that makes you miserable.  You are perpetuating a pattern that leaves you both  feeling like you have been thrown under the bus.

The third is to practice Ho’oponopono.  It is so easy that we don’t do it.  It goes like this. You ask yourself, “What is it in me that sees this in you?”  Then you say to yourself, even if you don’t mean it, “I’m sorry dad.  Please forgive ME. (Even if it appears to always be him.)  I thank you. I love you.”  If you forget it all, focus on your heart and say it until you get it, “I love you.”  This relationship has been going on for many lifetimes. It’s come up now for you to clear the slate. To let go of your buried anger or not so buried.  If you choose this route, you will have to practice again and again.

“Where should I move to?  LA, Miami, NYC, Paris?”  Kristen, Portland, OR

Dear Kristen,

This is a facetious answer but, “Where do you want to move?  What city attracts you the most?” You seem to have an expanded state of consciousness that allows you now to move into new territory with success.  Whatever you decide will be the right place assuming that you can control your fear. 

As you know, fear is part of our 3D world. It paralyzes us. It holds us back because it is from the ego view of the world. All the “what if’s” stalk us in the night. They like to squeeze us tightly, preventing us from moving  forward. 

Instead listen to your heart. Pay attention to which city draws you.  If you think you are unable to make a decision, it is because you are listening to your ego. Ask and be still. Allow your angels or guides of Light to answer. You are powerful which has created a fight-to-the-end reaction from your ego.

Take a breath and exhale deeply.  You are already who you want to be. Wherever you choose will be right for you then.  That being said, here’s what I get:

Los Angeles – An okay move. Perhaps you have a friend whom you would connect with in LA. What I see though is that LA will not seem right and you will move on.  There will be that fatal flaw that makes you want to keep on truckin’.

Miami – This one doesn’t seem to work. It can be that it’s just not the right place for you. You’ll feel unsettled, maybe as if you don’t belong. Something is off here for you.  “Go on vacation but not to move,” your angels are saying.

NYC – Bingo!  This one looks great for you. The City will open up a new and exciting adventure for you if you can work up your courage. Your guidance will be encouraging you.

Paris -  You will feel like you belong.  There are parts of the Paris experience that will make you giggle with delight. It is also possible that you choose not to listen to your guidance while you’re there. Maybe your natural rebelliousness causes you to blow all your money and then feel sorry for yourself.  Paris is okay if you can control you.

No matter what you do, move with an open heart or you will attract whatever it is you are hoping to leave behind.

“A month ago Yuki, my kitty, disappeared.  Is she still alive or not?  Do I have to keep looking for her? I’m really sad without my pet.  I hope you can help me even though Yuki is an animal.”  Marcela, Concepcion, CH

Dear Marcela,

I am not an animal psychic normally, but it appears as if you have done everything you can to locate Yuki. She seems to have wanted to explore the world but got herself into trouble and is now in kitty heaven.  Is she okay?  She’s perfectly fine and that is what matters in the end.

Will I meet a significant other this year?  There’s been a lot of upside down lately, but it made me think of having someone in my life to share with which I haven’t thought of in a long time. I am still missing my friend who passed on.”  Kara, San Diego, CA

Dear Kara,

Your last sentence says it all.  You want to meet someone and yet you don’t.  It’s taken so long for you to recover from the blow of losing someone close to you that you are afraid you’ll never find someone as connected to the way you think and feel as he was.

I sense that you are loving and supportive of everyone except you. In an effort to contain and get over your pain, you’ve been holding your emotions tight-in, when the answer is the opposite.  There are times in our life when crying out our pain is the answer to releasing and moving on.  At least go to a “girl flick” where the tears can flow for the misery of someone else.   You’ve wrapped yourself almost as tight as a mummy.  It’s time to let it all go. 

Something else has come up.  Was there a threesome in this picture, you and your friend and another?  Your loss seems to be more than just the loss of your friend, but also the loss of another. Someone has broken your heart by taking his elsewhere.

This is not a time for you to move forward in action. Rather a time to go within. Give yourself time to be still.  Look for time to honor you by being alone so you can come to a place of enjoying your own company.  You will move out of this space into a more social time, but now is not quite right as yet. 

You are leaving a stage in your life that is complete.  The good news is that you will find the relationship you want if you can give yourself space to heal, space to cry, space to be quiet by yourself in meditation if you are able.  It’s a time of allowing as opposed to pushing forward.

What you want can come to you but only after you have allowed yourself to mend.

Dear Jamie,

I’d love to give you an answer you can bank on, but there seem to be too many variables. Perhaps too many fingers in the proverbial pie.  It looks to me as if you get frightened over what you see as a negative possibility and then move on into discouragement, even depression. 

Notice if you tend to worry and then later realize everything you were worried about somehow came out okay. You made it through, in spite of appearances to the contrary. Whatever happens, your money issues will resolve if you can allow yourself to trust everything will work out, somehow. 

Expecting the worse will draw that to you. You deserve better.

“Recently I made a wish on the 30th of April.  Will it come true?”  Indigo, Sydney, NSW

Dear Indigo,

The angels and I do not read beyond six months because we do not want to dis-empower you. If I tell you what I see today and it is in the distant future, unconsciously you may wait until that time and block your wish. Or you may change your mind and create something even better than what you think you want today. The question or wish instead is, “Let me be open to receive what ever is for my highest good in terms of …”

This being said, here’s what I see.  You seem to be afraid to take a risk. You’re not feeling supported. You may even be undermining yourself by blocking the good things that want to come to you. Your angels are saying that some times we have to take a calculated risk.  We have to learn to trust in the Unseen and in that place we can let go of everything we have held onto tightly.  It is the holding on to what we know and being afraid that there is no safety net for us, that actually creates the block.

There is a terrific resistance in your field.  Perhaps  you are unable to envision anything from where you are today. What this does is create an energetic barricade.  Your wish could happen if you could truly envision it, but instead you hope but don’t embrace your wish as a true possibility.

Like many of us, Indigo,”you are close, but no cigar.” You are a spiritually aligned being who is struggling to dig your way out of linear thinking.  Try saying to yourself, “In spite of appearances to the contrary, I …”

If health issues come up for you, open to the idea of an alternate treatment.  If your wish is about something else, then allow yourself to look beyond what you think is possible today. Do your best to release any negative thoughts that appear.  They are creating a resistance in your space and blocking what is possible for you.
