Appliances Online have recently launched a new TV ad campaign featuring the song Blitzkreig Bop by American punk rock deities, Ramones. The song was the first track on the Ramones’ first ever album and the lyrics happen to nicely coincide with the Appliances Online strap-line: ‘AO Let’s Go’. The advert itself walks us through Dave’s slightly bizarre first day of work at Appliances Online HQ, which involves badgers, hugging a fork-lift truck and Head of HR, Jenny.

Looking forward to festival season by dousing us in the familiar sights of surging crowds, hyper-excitement and everything being reduced to one big mud-slide, this BBC ad showcases a season of live music soon be covered on BBC Three and Radio 1. The music sound-tracking the ad is Turn Me Out by Russ Chimes and the featured festivals include Glastonbury, T in the Park and Reading and Leeds.

The music featured in the BBC advert for its new crime drama The Fall is Where Do You Go by the late American-born singer-songwriter Lhasa de Sela. The track is from her third album, titled Lhasa and released in 2009. The ad trailers a new series set to air this summer on the BBC, with Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan both starring in lead roles.

ITV look set to continue their current streak of good drama with another cracking trailer filled to the brim with juicy suspense. The ad introduces a new police thriller called Life of Crime and is soundtracked by Placebo’s cover of Kate Bush’s masterpiece (one of them, anyway) Running Up That Hill, released as a bonus track on their album Sleeping With Ghosts.

The Music from the Tesco F&F Clothing Summer 2013 Ad

 
The sweltering new ad for this season’s line at Tesco’s own clothing brand, Florence and Fred, is soundtracked by an equally smouldering set of vocals from Aluna Francis, one half of the London two-piece AlunaGeorge. Backed with glitchy production from George Reid, the track, called You Know You Like It, accompanies languid models, lurid colours and a spacey pool-side set.

The Music from the ‘One Day in Tunisia’ Ad

 
‘Free to live it all’ goes the tagline in Tunisia Toursism’s ‘One Day in Tunisia’ advert: a tempting taster of what the country has to offer for eager holiday goers boasting a roster of activities ranging from relaxing in a rock-top spa to sailing though the sand. The Arabic-infused music comes from vocalist Natacha Atlas, a young Belgian who is know for her far-reaching musical influences, which include raggae, hip-hip, drum n bass and Arabic. This particular track is called Adam’s Lullaby and is featured in her album Something Dangerous.

The music from the Jaguar ‘Desire’ Ad

 
Set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on 24th April, Jaguar‘s new 12 minute short film is a campaign to promote the launch of Jaguar‘s F-Type sports car. The film, directed by Adam Smith and created by the Brooklyn Brothers, stars British actor Damien Lewis, who plays a rogue car delivery driver roaming the desert. The ad is soundtracked with the aptly smouldering Burning Desire by sultry American songstress Lana Del Rey.

Evian’s latest advert continues with their dancing babies theme, this time the adults dance with their ‘baby me’ reflections in a mirrored window. Clever and cute stuff! The track featured is an ‘Evian‘ remix by Yuksek of the nineties classic by Ini Kamoze, Here comes the Hotstepper, originally released in 1995. Download links for both below:

The music from the IKEA ‘Make More of your Garden’ Ad

 
Looking forward to the summer and a well needed garden re-vamp, IKEA’s latest campaign encourages us to make more of our garden. Their first ever garden and outdoor furniture ad sees a battle of old vs new as the old garden gnomes try to fight off the coming garden refurbishment. The music from the ad is a cover of Motley Crue’s Time for Change, arranged by Tom Player and performed by the Budapest Film Orchestra and the Heritage Singers.
