The Assembly Rooms is a great Community orientated place to be involved with.. with a huge colourful history. . (and equally colourful history of volunteers!). If you would like to get involved.. dont be shy.

We also have a very limited number of Shares still available… (if you didnt know, we are owned and run by shareholders… get in touch of you would like more info) .. we are also a registered Community Benefit Society.

]]> Improvements https://www.assemblyrooms.org.uk/improvements/ Thu, 01 Feb 2024 13:35:38 +0000 https://assembly.fullatech.com/?p=625 We have recently started a bit of an upgrade to our Loos. We have 4 new toilets & Cisterns, new sinks in Ladies and a long overdue flusher for mens Urinal. We still have a job to do with the drain in Ladies loo, then we will put new flooring down.

We have a new large Consumer box for our electric supply, quite a big job with various other bits of electrical work done.

We really need new chairs and tables in the Hall. Our current folding chairs have been here since the 80s, as has the 10 or so square tables. A few grants were applied for last year for various things, but we didnt have any success. The money spent on all recent work has been generated through events.

Our internet capabilities got greatly upgraded during Lockdown, we can now live stream from the building.
