It’s hard to give the ultimate answer. The Web is full of speculations and gossips of different sort. Some people assure that the show is legitimate, others mention different proofs for the team faking the evidences.

Rumors in the Web

Quite some time ago, Javier posted an article ranting about paranormal TV shows. At the same time, one of the most popular posts discussing Ghost Hunters “fake” has been posted on Hollow Hill. Finally, recently Courtney from Haunt Jaunts received an interesting email from one of her readers.

Forums and blogs are filled with discussion about Ghost Hunters real or not, and even if I intend to put a little bit of my own point of view to the discussion, let’s face the truth - as long as the show brings money, we won’t learn the truth.

Real Investigations?

I’m myself member of paranormal investigation team, I know the job. And I’ve seen quite a few episodes of Ghost Hunters. My opinion is quite simple – at first it was quite interesting show in which few guys were investigating paranormal activities. But then, the ratings begun to fall, and the producers said “we need to increase our ratings”. Perhaps it was the turning point, when real investigation turned into reality show with faked evidences?

It wouldn’t be the first time something like that happened to paranormal show. Most of these experience the same problem, as the sad truth is – it’s all about the money. No money, no show.

Expert Opinion

I believe I can talk as an expert – are the investigations the TAPS team showed in Ghost Hunters legitimate? At first – they were. But with time, it begun to smell awful, because each time they went on the trip, they encountered something weird. It’s statistically impossible ;). Some of their research methods became too weird for real paranormal investigations. As it all would be made just for the audience. Was it all made up?

How do these guys find haunted places to investigate and how the heck do they always find a place that is haunted, hmm?

The Man Who Contacted Me

I don’t know anything about original Ghost Hunters methods, but I can say one think about Ghost Hunters International. Two months ago, one of the story producers contacted me (apparently I’m the most famous paranormal investigator from Poland in the English-speaking web, cool), as the team was looking for some haunted places in Poland.

The producer was asking me to find some haunted places in Poland – it didn’t worked well on my side, none of the places I’ve suggested agreed for the team to come and shoot the show :(. But I know one think – they do not seek sites that are only “powered by gossips” – they’re looking for really haunted sites, that’s why they’re asking local investigators to help them out.

But on the other side, they’ve shoot a show in Wolf’s Lair, near Kętrzyn, Poland. And do be honest, I’ve never heard that this place is haunted, not even a single rumor or urban legend. So again – I’m stuck with the opinion.

Is Ghost Hunters Real?

I don’t know, and honestly – I believe no one really knows the answer to this question. Ghost Hunters is  a TV show, and because of this, it should be threated with caution when it comes to believing it to be legitimate paranormal investigations.

We don’t know  where the investigations end, and money starts…

Theory

If you go to work for instance you channel a mindset that will most suit your needs at work. Going to Work is a ritual act and the more energy you put into it the more you get out of it, good or bad.

Say you are looking for an answer: You want to know if God exists? The result is always the same, yes God does exist. On the other hand what if Gods does not exist? You will of course find that God does not exist.

So where does all this confusion really stem from? Why can’t everybody get the same answer from a straight question? The truth is we are not all asking exactly what we say we are asking and therefore we are channeling different things in order to find our answers.

The point of this article is not to teach you how to channel as I have already stated channeling is something we do all the time. The point is to teach you to be aware of what you are channeling so that you can be more aware and in control of the results.

You’re channeling already

I am most focused and receptive when I am calm and at peace for instance. I have this whole ritual of imagining myself as an entity made purely of energy with no mortal conflicts. I enter a calm and accepting state where I know that everything happens for a reason and that the sooner I understand what the Universe is trying to tell me the sooner I can move on to a happier and healthier way of life.

When channeling it is a good idea to be very raw and honest with ones self. What you want and what you seek are one in the same. You may find it a good idea in fact to verify what it is you are seeking and why. If for instance you want to be better at your job but in truth you go to your job every day looking for a reason to quit… you might want to realize that on a conscious level so you might be able to redirect that energy and use it to channel something more productive into your life.

A list of things to channel:

• Your personal Role Models
• Star personalities that you can identify with.
• Nature, water, plants and animals.
• Any person you want to understand better. (This one is not easy.)
• Different aspects of yourself.
• Like minded individuals (this is like laying out a welcoming mat and saying hay I’m over here).
• Creative thought (for times when the answer isn’t readily available).
• Emotional Convictions (can be used as an anti-depressant if your good at it).
• Healing and Strength Training (Focusing your energy on your body can boost your body’s performance; it’s the difference between being actively engaged in what you are doing or being a passive participant.)

Psychic Stuff you Need to Know

There are two important things you need to keep in mind. Based on my research I’ve noticed many people do practice psychic development, but they pay no attention to psychic energies. This is bad. And vice versa, many people pay attention to energies, but practice no at all. So:

• You need to practice – learning energy manipulation, psi-balls, psychic shielding, Extra-Sensory Perception skills etc, these are still mandatory things to do.
• You need to pay attention – and along with practicing, you need to pay attention, in other words, you need to work on your psychic sensitivity. This is what the post is about.

Within single week I managed to increased my psychic sensitivity a lot, using only two simple steps.

Increasing psychic sensitivity with a sticky note

How can you develop psychic abilities further using these yellow sticky notes? Well, you can, and actually, it was green sticky note :). I took that piece of paper, and wrote down the following question: “what energies do you sense right now?” I’ve placed the note below my laptop’ keyboard, and since I use my laptop a lot because of my job, each day that note was in front of me.

And then I just started paying attention to it - without ignoring, every single time I’ve noticed there is a note there, I responded to the question – I stopped what I was doing, and I begun to pay attention, trying to identify energies. It gave me interesting results within first week – as I started to notice energies I never felt before.

Increasing psychic sensitivity with a girlfriend

But that was just the beginning. My girlfriend help me a lot, too. Since I wasn’t able to bring the sticky note with me everywhere I go, I needed someone to ask me the question about psychic energies I was sensing. So I asked Annette to help me with this. From time to time she asks me what energies do I sense, and I respond to the question by paying attention.

These two simple techniques are still increasing my sensitivity on daily basis. How is this possible? Because by paying attention I’m telling my brain “yep, I want more of these” and it responds to my needs. And, psychic sensitivity is a like a muscle – the more you practice it, the better it gets.

Steps to take

Here’s how can you use my own experiences for your own practice and development:

• Use sticky notes – place them on everything you often use, for example on your computer, smartphone (if any), notebook, or even a fridge :).
• Ask people to help you - ask your friends, family members and others to help you; tell them to ask you about the energies randomly, from time to time.
• Always respond – no matter what, when someone will ask you about the energies, or you will notice the notes around, stop whatever you’re doing and pay attention to energies. If you will ignore these, your sensitivity won’t develop.

Stick to these tips, and you will be able to develop your psychic sensitivity very quickly.

Runes are very personal – and even if it’s possible to use them in order to help others, they’re mainly meant to help you. Here are few best ways you can use rune reading for your own purposes.

Personal

Is that girl right for me? Should I take this job? Should I choose this University? Questions, questions, questions – something we face all the time. Wouldn’t it be easier to make only the right decisions? Runes can help you with this. Personally, whenever I’m about to make a decision, I’m consulting with my runes, analyzing all possible outcomes. So far, I regret nothing :).

Imagine how more can you achieve if your company could growth without making mistakes. Imagine how popular you would be among your employees, being the best boss in the world :). Or at least the best employee, if you don’t own the company yet. Make the best decisions so your boss will be pleased, hmm?

A little selfish way

These are the best ways to use rune reading – getting answers for yourself. This can result in improving your life, being a better person, according to saying “if you want to change the world, change yourself first”. This makes things simpler, right?

First of all, you need to know that becoming professional psychic might take few years. Sure, it’s possible to become a PRO within few months, but you would have to work hard. But if you will stick to the tips I present here, you should have no problems with becoming professional psychic.

Learn Psychic Abilities

Obviously, first of all, you have to master psychic abilities first. You can learn how to develop them from my e-book here, then you need to practice and practice in order to become better and better psychic. At the same time, this is the first step in your “becoming pro” journey. While still learning and practicing psychic skills on daily basis, do the following things as well:

• Give free psychic readings - but tell people that you’re still learning and you don’t know how accurate you will be. Let them agree to honest, free psychic reading.
• Offer psychic healing - if you know someone is ill, or wounded, offer free psychic healing. Again, tell the person that you can’t promise anything as you’re just learning.
• Offer free remote viewing - something is lost? Someone is missing? Offer remote viewing services for free. Again, you’re just learning :).

You got the point – try to offer as much free psychic services as you can. These steps will provide you with additional practical experience and skills. And this will further improve your psychic abilities.

Step by Step Guide to Becoming Professional Psychic

When you will believe you have mastered psychic abilities enough, you can start working on becoming professional. Keep in mind that you should still offer free services in order to get better and better. But now, at the same time, follow these steps:

1. Launch a website – First step is mandatory these days. You need a place where you will offer your services and write a blog. So you need to decide what kind of services you will offer and how much you will charge for them. All these information should be put online. In addition, if you will decide to offer psychic readings, you can offer them through email, or Skype – do not offer phone readings, they’re too expensive. Figure out a way to charge for reading through Skype, it’s a better choice. On the blog, write about your psychic experiences, adventures and other psychic stuff. Let the people get to know you.
2. Start advertising - without advertising your services, you won’t get customers. Start advertising through Google AdWords, Facebook Ads etc. Place an ad in local newspaper too. And join social networks like Facebook or Twitter, and start writing. Keep in mind that content is the king, so do not end up only with promoting yourself.
3. Publish an e-book – It’s always good to publish an e-book (paper books aren’t the best choice any more), in which you will share some tips about being a psychic, or teach psychic abilities, or share your psychic experiences and stories. If you’re not computer geek, all you have to do is to write raw text, and publish it with A State of Mind, I will take care of technical stuff. This will give you additional exposure and additional income stream.
4. Get interviewed – Try to get in contact with local radio, maybe they would be interested in doing an interview with you? Or you can look around the Web for psychic related podcasts and ask if their authors would be interested in an interview.
5. Write an article for local newspaper or a website – Start writing articles, for paper magazines and websites. Send them to publishers or website owners, asking for publications. Or you can start writing for eZines, or eHow – these gives additional exposure and advertising opportunities.
6. Launch an e-store – many psychics often create additional income stream for their business by selling goods, like incenses, talismans or amulets. You can do this too, by launching online store on your website and selling psychic or New Age gear.

Of course, while getting interviewed, writing e-book etc., don’t forget you need to look for customers and advertise, and finally – work. Give readings, heal, help in locating missing people etc. This will give you money, and the more you earn each month, the more probable is that you will be able to drop your daily job and become professional psychic, period.

I have few more tips for you:

• Threat it like business – becoming professional psychic is a business. It means you must register your business, you need to advertise yourself, look for customers, manage money, taxes etc. Reading few books about managing a company will be good idea.
• It’s like freelancing – you’re working for yourself. So this is like freelancing, you’re finding customer, getting the job done, and taking money for it. Then you’re looking for another customer, and in the meantime, you’re promoting yourself.
• Manage your customers – Get some notebook, or computer software, manage your customers and all your projects. Know what you have to do today, manage appointments, manage everything :).
• Get money in advance – regarding payment, do not ask for money straight ahead. Take 20% in advance, and the rest after getting the job done. If it will be done well, you will get all the money. If it won’t be done well, you will refund these 20%. Always refund, be honest.

And with these tips and steps, you should become professional psychic. Of course, this will require you to work pretty hard, but hey – if you want this, then it’s worth it, right?

To better describe these small things, today I’m going to share some of my own psychic experiences with you, so you will gain better picture about being psychic.

Sensing Emotions

Most popular psychic experiences in my case are related to psychic empathy, or in other words – sensing emotions. To give out few examples. One day I was passing by a mother with young child – and I sensed strong emotional bound between her and her child. Such pleasant energies these were.

Other time, I was standing in queue in a store, and there was that lady, a mother of older man -30+ he was I believe. He was mentally handicapped – and I was able to sense strong, negative emotions – sadness and fear, that his mother projected. She was already an older lady and she was worrying what will happen to his son after she will pass away.

Another time my buddy from dormitory was preparing for a date, and I was able to sense cool positive, powerful energies – he was so happy then.

Sensing Psychic Energies

Being psychic is also about sensing psychic energies. How many times I was able to sense the storm coming, I have lost count. During winter time, I’m able to sense energies being transfered by snow crystals. Or, the closer the Halloween is, the darker the energies become – which is kind a cool, as they make me very productive.

Knowing Things

One day, my girlfriend’s mother decided to visit our flat – and she asked Annette to go to a doctor with here. At least, we thought it was about doctor. But I received psychic impression – fast one, that just hit me within single second – it was no doctor they were going to visit – I instantly knew Annette’s mother is taking here to a psychic! Sufficient to say, I was right.

One time the phone rang, which wasn’t a surprise for me – for at least 5 minutes I psychically knew my boss is calling. Another time I was passing by a man, about 40+ I guess, and as I walked by him, I instantly knew that his digital camera was a gift from his child – it just hit me.

Don’t expect psychic to throw things

As you can see – psychic experiences can be big (visions, precognitive dreams, poltergeist effect), or quite small, like these I have described above. Of course, some psychics and energy workers can do more, some less, perceive more or less. It all depends on experience and one psychic development. What I want you to know is – do not try to become superhero when developing psychic abilities – being psychic is about small things.

• Psychic v.s. Normal

Half the words we use as psychics arn’t even found in a dictionary. There is often a distance placed between everyday life and psychic experiences. Often what is seen is a curiosity: “does this possibly exist?” Followed by validation: “yes, personal experience says it does.” Followed by confusion: “was I just imagining that sensation?”

Practice almost always gives us good results the first time, followed by a period of -well nothing. This period is the calculating stage where our minds decide if this new way of perceiving things is good for our mental state. There are a lot of things within the paranormal realm that cause fear to be the initial reaction.

At first it was about does this exist, now it is about coming to terms with how to deal with it. That is a lot harder. If you have not had the fears and doubts creap into your head in one way or anther then I challenge you to imagine a psychic event that would cause that level of shock to unfold in your mind.

What I would like to say here is that: psychic mastering is a disipline and like all disciplines there is a mental conditioning involved. You are not only opening your mind to new possibilities, you are redefining your own theories on how the world works. It is an ongoing process. Like invention and science, one descovery always leads to the next.

I have been personal witness to those among us who were not ready to accept the mental side-effects of new psychic experieces. When you are lucky your mind simply places doubt where it once found excitement.

Could you really imagine a yourself surviving a 20ft fall and landing not only intact but on your feet? That is even hard for me to imagine. Point being: what would your mind do to protect itself from suffering a nourvous brakedown? If you know something is not possible, but it happens anyways, how do you cope with it?

People I’ve taught how to develop psychic abilities managed to do so. But after few weeks to few months, few of them returned to the place where they’ve been before starting the system I’ve developed – they were beginners again. I wondered why this is happening, and I believed in my whole psychic development system I missed one thing. Something that was so obvious for me that I totally forgot about it.

The secret of psychic abilities that is too good to be true is: you need to practice.

That’s something I go over and over again in my book, but at the same time, something that people still don’t understand.

The problem lies in ignorance

Don’t worry, I’m not offending anyone – but ignorance is a reason why people fail to develop psychic abilities, or even forgot about things they have already learned. I will explain it with an example.

You have learned how to sense psychic energies. This is automatically improving general clairvoyance abilities, and you’re beginning to know things. You’re getting excited, but for some reasons, you’re focusing all over the time on your mundane existence. You’re still picking up psychic impressions, but because you have more important things to attend right now, you’re ignoring these impressions. And because of this, your brain is learning that you don’t want to pick up these information at all. You had psychic abilities, and now they’re gone.

This is something we have done as young kids – parents told us to ignore things we were picking up – so we did.  And you can repeat the process – you can shut down all your psychic senses any time you want. But recalling them is much more difficult. The best thing to do is not to let these skills go away.

How to stay psychic

You must remain sensitive at all time. As I said, if you have some mundane task to do, and because of this you ignore psychic impressions, your brain will act on it. But it works in opposite as well – so, if you will have some other things to do, but even so you will pay attention to psychic impressions, your brain will learn that you want more of these.

The best thing to do is to learn not to ignore psychic impressions.

• If you feel strange psychic energies - act on it, pay attention. Think why do you sense them? What is the source? Pay complete attention to all your sensations.
• If you have a dream – pay attention. Run dreams journal, analyze your dreams. Let your brain knows you want more of these.
• If you know things - act on them. Think why do you know them, and think how can you use them.

Never, ever ignore psychic impressions, act on them. Pay attention, analyze them, think of them, and think in positive way. Think that you want more impressions, you want to have more precognitive dreams, more clairvoyant information. And never ignore things you feel.

Simple exercise

Write down the following question on piece of paper: “what energies do you sense right now?” – and place that piece of paper in some visible place. I used to have it on keyboard of my laptop – every time I used it, I was noticing the question, and paying attention to energies. You can dot his too – never ignore it, always try to sense the energies. That’s the simplest exercise for tuning it.

The more you pay attention, the better psychic you become

Mechanics is simple – the more information you’re paying attention to, the more things you sense and experience. Because your brain is learning that this is what you want (sounds like psychic law of attraction, doesn’t it?). Sure, you can still care about your mundane existence and daily tasks, but any time you sense or notice something – act on it. You wanted to be psychic, right?

Paying attention is something that psychics (and me, in my book) describe as radio tower metaphor – you have to tune in to be psychic. And paying attention is tuning in.
