ABOUT THE BOOK

This collection comprises of mainly love and inspirational poetry, some are fantasy and take me back to my childhood when I would escape into the perfect love of fairy tales and mermaids. Much of the poems I write, I channel from Spirit (I am a Psychic Medium). The poems explore all aspects of love. Many too explore the philosophy of life and are designed to uplift and challenge the reader into looking at life and love from a different point of view. to encourage the positive view. The book takes it’s name from the poem ‘Enchanted’ which describes how love catches us aware and often when we least expect it, as if we are indeed bewitched and enchanted.

I have written these verses from the heart and I hope they will resonate and touch yours

PREFACE

Love has many facets, from great wishing and longing, exhilaration, the passion and the ecstasy, to the despair and heartbreak, anger and betrayal and lastly the hope. In mythology when Pandora opened the box and all pestilence to man escaped ‘Hope’ was left and this I feel is the greatest gift to man. This collection explores all of these emotions and most will resonate with you, the reader. All have been written from the heart, as one would expect for it is the seat of the soul. Some have been channeled and for those that have, they are uplifting, to brighten and give ‘hope’ to the sadness and despair that love can bring.

This book is for those, who are about to fall in love, for those who are deeply in love, those who were in love, lost loves and those who always will be and for the deepest love of all “Soul mates”. It is for those who cannot find the words to express how they feel, for all the love letters as yet to be written.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
For those who largely remain unseen, our guides and our mentors and for the love of Spirit who without, this collection would not have come about. But most of all for my beloved grandmother Jane, who by far encouraged me to believe in “Anything is possible if you believe in it and to never underestimate the power of the Universe”. All the greatest projects, buildings whatever start with a ‘Castle in the air’, a thoughtform that becomes tangible.

I do not know what you have done to me nor spell you have cast

But some how you have magic'ked me and wiped away my past

All doubts have gone and wounds have healed and you have mesmerised me

You blew away the clouds of doubt, cleared my vision and let me see

And yet for all you gave to me, you couldn't heal your own soul

Let me return the favour, help you heal and make again you whole

I wish I could explain what you have given, the riches and the treasures

Not those of material wealth but the love, its joy and all its pleasures

I may not in this lifetime receive what I really wanted

It matters not for I know in another I will, for I have been enchanted

So to make the most of what nature has bestowed upon us we have to approach this from the inside, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. This is my holistic approach to achieving the best we can be. When I mention spiritually I am not talking about a specific religion or set of beliefs, for every religion mentions the spiritual side of us and in holistic therapies, which is the approach of this blog, we are mind, body and spirit, essentially we are spirit within a human body. If we tackle this part of us we will achieve inner harmony and that will reflect on the outside and give us that beautiful glow. It's also about achieving inner confidence, we can achieve this by caring for ourselves, good grooming is not being vain, far from it, its about maintaining our health, caring for our hair, nails and feet and keeping them free from infection. When we feel good about ourselves, we feel good about others, it raises our self esteem and gives us a buzz.

Who Is Maggie Brown?

Maggie Brown, webmaster of “The Truly Holistic Blog” is an author, writer, poet, and psychic. As a lecturer in Holistic Studies with a nursing background, she blogs on topics such as reflexology, aromatherapy and Indian therapy with the reverence and perspective of a Reiki master.

The Truly Holistic Blog, www.AstrideStella.info is a bit overwhelming in that there is so much offered it is hard to decide where to go first. Whether you want to learn more about homeopathic health to quit smoking or control your diabetes or the art of reading tea leaves you will find it on this holistic blog.

The post on “What is Wicca?” was enlightening to me. What I got is that Wicca is a recognized religion that is basically the “awe” of life.

It is a peaceful and harmonious way of life that promotes oneness with the world and creator.

Holistic Approach To Life

Maggie’s blog topics are all-encompassing in the holistic approach to life.

For example, I learned in the post “Mercury In Retrograde” that the planet Mercury which appears in the morning or early evening sky at times looks like it is going backwards. This optical illusion is called retrograde and the astrological phenomenon causes few issues here on earth. To avoid problems during this period it is good to:

Avoid signing legal documents.
Avoid closing big deals.
Avoid meetings that require big decisions.
Allow extra time while traveling.

It sounds kind of like Feng Shui to me! This type of holistic advice permeates the entire site. Anyone interested in living a healthy life without drugs would benefit from visiting “The Truly Holistic Blog“.
