I recently had an encounter with a young man whose sun sign is Taurus. He stated that while he really wanted to identify with my post about 11/11/11 and all of the good energy flowing for Earth signs he just wasn’t seeing it in his life. My reply to him was “Do you believe that every action has a equal and opposite reaction?” To which he said, “Yes.” And then I began to explain what I thought might be going on with him. In summary here is my more in-depth explanation of the celestial currents.

Jupiter in Taurus even when retrograde, can lead us to excess. The desire to have sensual experiences can lead us to excess in that we are in a constant search for pleasure. In a trine with Mars in Virgo, Jupiter in taurus, we may also experience a lift in energy giving us the capacity to even think we can meet all of our desires. Jupiter lit the fire and now Mars is fueling it. In Virgo Mars will heighten our discernment and practicality. Having said this, if you are in search of sensual satisfaction and are not in an ideally positive state of mind, you may use your heightened discernment in search of MORE. We may find bigger and better ways to indulge. When Pluto is in Capricorn, we may find power through our friends to follow the skewed path Jupiter set us on. Our friends and family may support us in our debachery  But with the Sun in Scorpio there is an element of uncovering truth, of seeing deep beneath the surface and having an eerily accurate understanding of what is. With all of this energy mixed together, and depending on where you are in your life (have you been running toward your goals or fleeing in fear?) will depend on how this aspect can manifest in your life. If you haven’t been doing what you know you should be doing and you decided to ignore the call of TRUTH, you are going to have to pay the piper and things may not be so easy. But the Universe will not forsake you, as soon as you decide to come back into ALIGNMENT with TRUTH you will have at your finger tips the energy that many of us are happily experiencing.

We are still experiencing the Grand Trine in the Earth signs and today the Moon in Leo joins the excitement. Lots of EMOTIONAL energy for us to take advantage of, especially in our intimate relationships and work. If you have suddenly found yourself in a “hole” because you were not standing in you truth, change it NOW! Have you seen what is playing out politically for those who try to manipulate the TRUTH and take advantage of people? As Pluto moves toward the 12th House disempowered people collectively and individually will be EMPOWERED!  Moon conjunct Mars dictates that it may be time to walk away so you can fight another day, but do so with compassion for yourself and others. The way toward resolution is to continue to stand in your TRUTH and allow others to do so too.

November 11, 2011. 11/11/11. Just the sight of all six of those one’s standing ominously together sends a chill of excitement down my spine. The world is in upheaval and maybe on this day, we the people may get a directive, a small piece of an answer we have been waiting for or better yet the whole enchilada; the truth about who we are and our collective purpose. But then again, it can be like waiting for the phone to ring after a what you thought was a great date. A lot of anticipation followed by a let down because the other person did not see it the same. Disappointment. The thing is that during the date there were clues and flags that your perception or your projection of what was occurring wasn’t spot on. And too, there are some celestial clues which can tell us what is most likely to manifest for tomorrow. Let’s analyze some of the clues.

The full Moon is in hardworking and possessive Taurus, as is expansive but retrograde Jupiter. The full moon is a good time to revisit our intentions. Especially those surrounding our goals and aspirations. Taurus offers an opportunity for us to feel satiated with ourselves spiritually, but especially with our bodies. We can feel good about the work we do and the fruit of our labors. Thinking about a new exercise routine, a new course to become more proficient in a skill or talent, the Taurean full moon is a great time for all intentions to end any harmful habits.

As part of the Grand Trine in the earth signs, the Moon will be exchanging positive and easy energy with both Pluto and Mars. When the moon trines other planets it brings a warm and nurturing feeling, lending a sense of femininity to celestial body’s existing aura. In this way, the moon’s interaction with Pluto will offers the opportunity to feel our power in an passionate manner. We will be compassionate and intense. A trine between the Moon and Mars offers an energy that is pleasingly emotional and sensual if you allow. That these aspects are colliding in the earth bound signs will certainly provide a stage for us to be stable, confident, practical, critical, possessive, creative, egotistical, and stubborn.

The opposition between Mars in Virgo and Neptune in Aquarius offers creativity, to dream and fantasize. At the same time it may undermine your ability to go after what you want . Mars will give us a boost of energy in order to take advantage of  the creative process. But it can also undermine your efforts with an increase in your analytical mind, making you more critical and indubiously angry about your inability to make things go your way. As Neptune has recently stationed direct, many of you may have experienced dreams that were alarming real or just really uncharacteristic.  Our intuitions, judgements and understandings of others will be skewed if they are not coming from the higher self or a higher octave of spirituality.

Jupiter is retrograde in Taurus. Jupiter lends expansion to whatever it touches and is known as the planet of luck. While it is retrograde the luck or expansion of it’s powers are slowed down. Noting that it is retrograde in Taurus,  Jupiter can slow our efforts to acquire, possess or expand our material wealth.

Saturn is still in Libra regulating our interpersonal skills. Have you gotten the lesson yet? Are you still complaining, criticizing and maligning others while not looking in the mirror?

The North Node, Mercury and Venus in the eleventh house ruled by Sagittarius can revive our efforts to live our true purpose. We may begin to speak about our passions or just talk about them more than unusual. We may also find partners who want to assist us in achieving our goals or may have similar goals as we do. We may increase our worth within large organizations by speaking or acting upon our ambitions.

These clues of the day lead me to believe that celestial energies on 11/11/11 are pushing us the people to look inside ourselves and know who we are via identifying our desires. If we head the call to go out and be ourselves we will indeed be lifting ourselves and humanity into a higher spiritual state. 11/11/11 can be a day of peace or a day of war. A day where we connect lovingly with understanding and empathy or a day where we find fault and criticise and malign others. The choice of course is up to each of us. Ther are some real opportunities to revisit and rethink your intentions.

Astrology can tell us about ourselves individually assisting us in identifying areas where we need growth or areas where we will see challenges. It can also assist in viewing our relationships with others. Synastry is one method of looking at two individual charts to determine how the individuals will act upon each other. In synastry the charts are compared in terms of where and how the planets of each chart interact with each other. Synastry tells us how two individuals effect one another, i.e. Venus conjunct Mars in which case the two people are very sexually attracted to one another and depending on other aspects in the synastry comparison, sex would be a large factor in the couples early contacts.

The composite chart is another method of looking at how two individuals will interact, however the composite chart describes the relationship itself. The composite chart combines the charts of two individuals along a mid-point and creates a third chart. The created chart is a representation of the relationship created between two individuals. It can be brother and sister, mother and daughter, father and son, employee and boss or lovers. The composite chart differs from synastry in that it gives us a picture of the entire relationship and not just the details of it. The composite chart tells us how the relationship will make each individual feel within the relationship, how others will respond to the relationship, the overwhelming drive of the relationship and where those involved may have to put some extra elbow grease into making the relationship work. While these details can be seen in the synastry comparison as well, the comparison holds more weight on the overall success of the relationship because it describes the relationship itself.

If the synastry comparison of two charts indicates that the pair are compatible but the composite points to aspects that will limit or any way hamper the progress or longevity of the relationship then regardless of synastry results, the relationship may experience difficulties. For example, if a synastry comparison indicates a love relationship because of one persons Sun conjuncts the other’s Descendant (a very powerful attraction indeed) and the composite chart reveals strong Saturn aspects, especially to the inner planets (a heavy weight or limitations) the relationship despite the overall good feeling will suffer from one or both of the individuals feeling limited or having to bear too many responsibilities because of the relationship. Saturn’s influence can make the relationship difficult to bear, thus over time wearing each participant down making one or both feel as if the relationship is not worth the bother.

I am amazed at the accuracy of the composite chart. Like a natal chart it provides us the information we need in order to consistently stay on top of the challenges which come our way on this fabulous journey we call life. While it does not tell us the specifics of the actual events or interactions that will manifest, we can use this tool to navigate the waters once we set sail.

When this card came to me this morning, the song “I Am Every Woman” by Chaka Khan came to mind and a smile crossed my face. The Empress embodies the purest kind of  femininity which in my mind always equals LOVE. The Empress is graceful, beautiful, intelligent, wise and abundant. The type of woman who would never turn anyone away from her home or a meal. She is the consummate nurturer, voluptuous, friendly, and successful.

The Empress is most often associated with Isis and the planet Venus. Very early depictions of her were of a winged goddess who wore a crown of 12 stars and stood on the moon. Her wings and the stars symbolically connected her to both the heavens and the earth and thus she is also known as the “Daughter of Heaven and Earth” which is a Mercurial connection and speaks of messages or directions descending from the heavens . Finally, the Empress is symbolized by the Hebrew letter Daleth, which means a door.

The presence of the Empress in any reading bestows a message of love. Not just the love between lovers or family, but also, the love which emanates from the “Door” between the seen and the unseen, the known and the unknown, between the spiritual and the material. On September 8, 2010 at 6:30 Am EDT, the moon will be in Virgo and will be new. When the moon is  “New” it can not be seen and is thought to effect us Earth dwellers least. It is a time when we can think without the passionate influence normally associated with lunar energy. The air is ripe for beginings, introspection and renewal.  Is it not befitting then, that the new moon, just after a Pisces full moon, be in Virgo?

In the midst of so many aspects demanding that we grow and stretch ourselves, came a spiritual epiphany from the Pisces full moon. We were given the blessing of spiritual understanding.  Many of us began to understand our situations (which are ultimately blessings) and why they manifest as they did. And now we are being given the blessings of analysis, service, detail and PATIENCE. Associated with Mercury, Virgo energy is very intelligent and swift and is associated with Thoth the Thrice Great (any other Virgos have a love affair with the number 3?) Take advantage of this thoughtful time and write down your new plans. Be detailed and honor yourself and others.

The coming new moon in Virgo is asking us to make adjustments to our journey or fine tune the path we are already on by paying attention to detail. But more than ever, what a Virgo New Moon is transmitting to us is, be of service to others. It is here, in the laying down of ego, where we will find our true joy and abundance, where we will find our true selves. When we analyze our situations and see how we can affect change not only in ourselves, but in others, we win. Making changes first in our own lives and then offering to the Universe the bit of wisdom we have gained is the ultimate illustration of growth and true inner power.

We must watch however, that the Virgo energy of observing details does not overwhelm us and set us on a worrisome course. The forest must not be forsaken for the trees and we must remain vigilant that we keep a positive attitude and strong faith that whatever challenges we face or the task we find before us are not more than we can handle. Adding the responsibility of giving back what we continue to receive from Source is easy and will not deplete us in any manner. In the midst of turmoil, anger, fear and lack offer love and watch the magic of healing materialize.

The Goddess Isis is watching and offers her undying nurturing to us all at this auspicious time. Tap into her energy to receive healing and be open to opportunities to offer it to others. Live simply so that others may simply live.  Give abundantly so you always have room to receive.

I haven’t had the energy nor the compulsion to write on this blog lately. I have been in the middle of changes that required my full attention. While life was moving on around me and I was forced to keep up. My insides, my ego, my identity, how I perceived myself stopped being relevant. I found myself in the midst of a situation and I wasn’t sure just how I got there or how it had become so awful. I looked around and while my surroundings were comfortable, they were also painful. All of a sudden something didn’t fit and that something was me. When did this change occur and how I had I not noticed until that moment? My solution was resolute. From this point, I look back in reflection and move forward with hope.

Many of you have probably experienced some big changes as well and can like me tie it all into the Celestial Currents of late. The Grand Cross, the Lunar Eclipse, Uranus highlighting my 8th house, Jupiter hanging out there too, Mars in Virgo (strategy; I have become quite adept at making plans) and finally today’s Solar Eclipse and New Moon in Cancer. Today really marks a NEW DAY! From here on out, you should be reaping the fruit of the hard labors. Some of us will be in entirely new environments, some will feel bereft but all of us know what needs to be done and our angels are anxious to guide us toward our blessings. Watch for resolutions to major issues globally, nationally, locally and individually. Watch your intentions manifest themselves in the coming six months! Monitor your thoughts and keep doing the work….Healing, Abundance, & Peace are OURS!
