Bueno en estos dias se me ocurrio hacer una mini radio online, más que nada por diversion. La programación es variada y la idea es pasar lo que nos gusta, voy a ver si puedo subir un chatbox o algo por el estilo para tomar pedidos :P jaja.

Ahora quieren saber que tienen que hacer para podes escuchar E-Radio!?. Bueno es asi:

- Como escuchar: Simplemente hacen click en la barra de navegación donde dice [Escuchar eRadio!] y se les va a abrir la página web de la radio. Desde ahi pueden elegir que reproductor usar, (WMP o Winamp) para escucharla.

Paul Van Dyk en Buenos Aires!

Se viene el Año nuevo!, que mejor forma de pasar este 31 de Diciembre que un concierto de Paul Van Dyk en su "In Between Albun Tour".

Nada más ni nada menos que uno de los mejores Dj del mundo del trance se va a estar presentando en Argentina después de un año. La verdad que noticias asi te alegran el dia, solo hay que cruzar el charquito para ir a ver a un grosso del punchi punchi.

Paul Van Dyk se presentara el dia 31 de Diciembre, las entradas todavia no estan a la venta pero estate atento, no te vayas a quedar afuera!.

Se espera con asias la noche en que Paul scrache sus mas famosos temas como ser “The other side”, "Another Way", "Tell me why" y "We are alive" las cuales se hicieron un lugar en los Top mas escuchados en Europa, América y Asia.

Asi que ya estan avisados!, El 31 todos a Argentina a que Paul nos scrache la cabeza toda la noche!.

Las personas que participaron en el sorteo de tickets para ir a ver a Led Zeppelin, Pete Townshend, Bill Wyman y el Rhythm Kings, Foreigner y Paolo Nutini en el 02 Arena, en Londres ahora fueron seleccionados y notificados de su derecho de comprar tickets para el concierto. El tributo a Ahmet Ertegun vio una avalancha masiva de gente hacia el sitio www.ahmettribute.com para registrase para el ballot el pasado mes.

Más de 1 millón de fans se registraron y todos esos que fueron aleatoriamente seleccionados ya fueron notificados en las pasadas 24 horas. Los tickets están limitados a un par por familia.

Sin embargo, el miedo de que revendedores tomen ventaja del concierto ah ido incremen
tando después de que los códigos que habilitan a los fans a abonar el ticket en el website de Ticketmaster fueron vistos en subastas por Internet. Sin embargo, como estos tickets están conectados con el nombre del participante, no son transferibles. El nombre del comprador tiene que coincidir con los detalles de las personas que recibieron el código. Si la gente intenta comprar tickets con el código de otra persona, su ticket será cancelado y la persona registrada será notificada por email.

Esos tickets serán re-asignados en otro sorteo.

Comienzos, Fragil y Disclaimer:

Saron Gas comenzaron en Pretoria, como toda banda, comenzaron desde abajo, haciendo los primeros toques en fiestas, clubs nocturnos, conciertos de pequeña escala, exhibiciones en universidades, como la University of Cape Town, y la University of Stellenbosch, donde tocaron para la multitud que almorzaba en el centro Neelsie en el verano del 2001.

Saron Gas saco su primer álbum llamado Fragil en Musketeer Records, en el 2000 en Sur África. Después de lograr el éxito en South Africa, Wind-up records se intereso en el sonido melódico pero pesado de Saron Gas y firmaron un contrato. Le pidieron a la banda que cambiara su nombre por ser Saron Gas un juego de palabras, refiriéndose al gas sarín. Fue así cuando nació Seether, un nombre inspirado por un single echo por la banda Veruca Salt.

El primer gran reléase vino en el 2002 con su segundo album, Disclaimer. El álbum dio a luz a tres singles, “Fine Again”, “Driven Under” y “Gasoline”, pero solo “Fine Again” logo rankear en la lista de mas escuchados con éxito. Los singles restantes lograron llegar a ser semi-frequentes en las radios de rock modernos, pero nunca pasaron a más. El mayor hit fuera del álbum fue “Broken”, la cual ni siquiera fue lanzada como un single. Shaun Morgan cito a Nivana (especialmente el album Nevermind) como “la rasón por la cual yo agarre un guitarra la primera vez” y también cita a Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine, Alice in Chains and Deftones.

La Cantante podría perder la custodia de sus hijos:

La abogada de K-Fed tendría un “testigo secreto” que habría visto a la cantante consumiendo drogas en presencia de sus hijos.

El retraso de su esperado disco de estudio, su bochornosa performance en la entrega de los premios MTV, sus múltiples amoríos y noches de borrachera no son comparables con el huracán que se le avecina a Britney Spears.

A pesar de haber finalizado los trámites de divorcio con Kevin Federline pocas semanas atrás, la batalla entre la cantante y el bailarín está por hacer una escalada peligrosa. Ciertos rumores indican que K-Fed podría efectivamente obtener la custodia total de los hijos de la pareja, Sean Preston y Jayden James, dentro de las próximas 24 hs.

Su abogada Gloria Allred tendría un “testigo secreto” que estaría dispuesto a testificar que la reina del pop consumió drogas en presencia de sus hijos. Por su parte, Laura Wasser, abogada de la intérprete de “Toxic”, defendió a su clienta alegando que "lo único que pretende mi defendida es ser una buena madre".

Como si este fuera poco calvario para Brit, el arreglo de manutención acordado obligaría a la cantante a pagarle 20 mil dólares mensuales a su ex de por vida, a menos que éste contraiga matrimonio nuevamente.

Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace

El próximo 25 de septiembre la banda de Seattle publica su álbum "Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace" (Sony BMG, 2007) con 12 nuevas canciones.

Es el sexto disco grabado en estudio de la banda estadounidense y el reencuentro con Gil Norton como productor desde que en 1997 trabajaron juntos en el álbum "The Colour And The Shape", que consiguió dos Discos de Platino y que se reedita ahora remasterizado en una edición de lujo con seis temas extra para celebrar su décimo aniversario.

Este es el regreso de Foo Fighters tras vender más de 13 millones de discos a lo largo de su carrera con cuatro premios Grammy, incluido el de Mejor Álbum Rock con dos discos consecutivos. Antes del lanzamiento de su nuevo álbum, la banda estadounidense sigue con los pies en el escenario y acaba de realizar en agosto una gira por Reino Unido, que continuará el próximo mes de noviembre.

Mothership. The very best of Led Zeppelin

Madrid, 11 sep (EFE).- El grupo británico de rock Led Zeppelin sacará a la venta el próximo 13 de noviembre su nuevo álbum "Mothership. The very best of Led Zeppelin", un doble CD que incluye 24 de las canciones más conocidas de la banda.

Con la pretensión de ser su "recopilación definitiva", los integrantes vivos de la formación Jimmy Page, Robert Plant y John Paul Jones han seleccionado personalmente los títulos más representativos de su carrera, entre los que se encuentra los temas "Dazed and confused", "Whole lotta love", "Kashmir", "Rock and roll" o "Inmigrant song".

Tampoco podía faltar en esta nueva recopilación "Stairway to heaven", la canción más exitosa e influyente de la banda, incluida en su cuarto álbum -que carece de título oficial- publicado en 1971.

Asimismo, "Mothership. The very best of Led Zeppelin" incluye un dvd con noventa minutos de canciones en directo extraídas del dvd "Led Zeppelin".

Hace unas semanas, el periódico británico Daily Telegraph especuló con la posibilidad de que los tres miembros aún vivos de la banda volvieran a tocar juntos sobre un escenario en un concierto homenaje a Ahmet Ertegun, aunque de ninguno de los integrantes lo ha confirmado.

Led Zeppelin publicó ocho trabajos a lo largo de sus 12 años de carrera, aunque tras la separación profesional de la banda -en 1980, tras la muerte de John Bonham-, ha cosechado una larga discografía que incluye varios recopilatorios y grabaciones inéditas, ascendiendo hasta los 200 millones la cifra del álbumes que la banda ha vendido hasta la fecha.

The Only:

It seems like just yesterday that Static-X were the venerable newcomers on the heavy metal block, the release of Wisconsin Death Trip in 1999 serving as a coming-out party for the Los Angeles quartet’s molten hybrid. Equal parts heavy metal, industrial thunder, and hook-laden, songwriting savvy, they scraped the senses with the untempered energy of digital screams and mosh pit mayhem. The debut went platinum, and it’s follow-up, Machine, has been certified gold as the band toured side-by-side with the biggest names in music, from Reinventing The Steel alongside Pantera and Slayer, to Family Values with Linkin Park, Staind and Stone Temple Pilots, and amongst Black Sabbath, Godsmack, P.O.D. and Queens Of The Stone Age on OZZfest 2000.

Now, with the release of Shadow Zone, frontman Wayne Static, guitarist Tripp Eisen, bassist Tony Campos and drummer Nick Oshiro stand armed and dangerous, equipped with an album that bleeds with the conviction we’ve come to expect, and slams with the crushing fury of a monster truck run amok. While it may sound cliché to call the release their strongest effort to date, anything less wouldn’t do the band justice, as the songs have evolved from brute slabs of sonic fury, to fine-tuned acts of musical misanthropy. “I can’t compare this to the other two albums at all, because it was an entirely different experience this time,” says Static of the new release. “Tripp was in there this time, and it was the first time I ever had a songwriting partner. It was a very refreshing experience, because he wrote some of the songs, and all I had to deal with was putting the vocals to them. I try to look at music as a challenge, and in a way I think this record sounds a lot more well-rounded.”

Granted, it was Eisen’s first time in the studio with Static-X—he joined the band immediately following the recording of Machine—but it’s Static who was most responsible for Shadow Zone’s jagged depths. “The funny thing is, most of the traditional Static-X-style songs on the record are the ones that Tripp wrote,” he says when asked about the vocal melodies that manifest themselves throughout the album. “I mean, you always want to push yourself and stretch—it gets kind of boring if you do the same shit over and over again—and I think that when I did ‘Not Meant for Me’ for the Queen Of The Damned soundtrack, that was real singing, and I had never done that with Static-X. People responded really well to it, and it was a lot of fun, so I figure that I might as well go for it…”

The results are an album with vocal hues as colorful as the music that carries them. Lead single “The Only” introduces a crisper, cleaner sounding Static, industrial-strength bites and barks replaced by a melodic texture that makes the music even more impacting. From crisper and cleaner, to downright eerie on “So,” where emotion and distress take center stage on one of the most haunting songs of the band’s catalog. It’s that variety, though, that makes Shadow Zone such an inviting place. “In past bands, I have done everything from acoustic songs to speed metal/death metal stuff, and I think this new album is a culmination of every type of genre I have ever done,” says the frontman. “Before, we were trying to be a little different, trying everything we could to try to differentiate ourselves, and I spent more time disguising my lyrics and trying to not sound too personal. Now, I don’t really care about that anymore. Now, Static-X are who we are, and I just want to write great songs and see what we can build upon.”

So in addition to the savagery of “Destroy All” and the pulverizing effect of “Kill Your Idols,” you’ve got the somber aura of the album’s closer, “Invincible,” a headfirst dive into a twisted psyche. And Static isn’t the only one with a conscience, as Eisen’s political savvy shines through the mirth on “Dead World.” “That’s a song that has some of my lyrics,” says the guitarist, reciting “Sometimes I wish I could see beyond this dead world…” “The verses, the lyrics that I wrote, are philosophical; describing how this world and our culture has been brought down because of governmental policies that are just destroying the free market system—We are living in a dead world and it’s just going to get worse unless we realize how to turn it around.”

“Writing with Tripp was kind of strange at first, because I’d never really written with anyone before,” admits Static, “but we really got into a rhythm with things and figured out how to communicate…” “And we communicate really well,” Eisen adds of the quartet. “We all worked on these songs—There are thirteen songs on the new album, and each song has its own history and way it was written. There are a couple of songs where I wrote all the music and Wayne wrote the lyrics, some of them were full band efforts, and there’s even one song from a few years ago that we re-worked. We wrote a couple songs all together, jamming, like the first single, “The Only”—That was the first one we all wrote together as a full band.”

The newest addition to the Static-X camp is drummer Nick Oshiro, who quickly established himself as the perfect successor to departed drummer Ken Jay, and the ideal player to fill the parts laid down by Josh Freese [A Perfect Circle] in the studio. Despite the fact that Static and Campos are the only two remaining original members of Static-X, the band’s namesake feels more confident than ever with their present lineup. “The chemistry is actually better than it ever was,” he says. “It’s weird, because [original guitarist] Koichi came in right before we got signed, did the record, toured, and he quit. In my mind, it’s like, ‘Was he even in the band?’ He was in the band for like two years, and Tripp has been with us for more than three years now—We are all laidback, and with Nick, we made sure that we got someone in the band that fits in, that we will like touring with, and it feels good… Really good. The old songs still sound the same, maybe even better.

“There are always going to be a few people who say, ‘I miss Ken, I miss Koichi.’ But you know what? Life goes on, and I feel our show is still one of the most high-energy shows out there, and people can’t deny it. I think it’s because offstage, we all get along, we are like family, and everyone is a really good player and we love what we do. We are performing, not acting, and we’re not trying to be any certain thing, we just go out and rock and kick everyone’s ass. I think we will continue to evolve while keeping some of the elements that make us who we are. That’s what we’ve done with Shadow Zone. This is the next step in our evolution.”

ROMA (Reuters) - El tenor italiano Luciano Pavarotti murió el jueves a los 71 años. Tras el anuncio de su fallecimiento, personalidades del mundo entero han rendido tributo a uno de los principales responsables de acercar la ópera a las masas.

Director de cine italiano Franco Zeffirelli:

"Había tenores, y luego estaba Pavarotti"

Tenor español Plácido Domingo, quien se unió a Pavarotti y a José Carreras para el espectáculo de los "Tres Tenores" en 1990:

"Siempre admiré su voz divina, su timbre inconfundible y rango vocal completo. Amaba su maravilloso sentido del humor. A veces, en nuestros conciertos con José Carreras, nos olvidábamos que estábamos actuando para una audiencia que había pagado, porque los tres nos divertíamos tanto."

Prepare yourself for a gripping, exhilarating ride on January 9th, 2006. On that date, DragonForce release their hotly awaited third album, ‘Inhuman Rampage’. The title is an apt summation of a devastating musical journey, an unstoppable force that the six-man group’s forthcoming tour of duty will leave devastated cities in its wake. Combing the primal force of power metal with hard-earned musical proficiency, old-school thrash and generous quantities of muscular melody in a unique style that they call ‘extreme power metal’, DragonForce have established themselves as THE heavy metal band of the past year.

The summer of 2005 saw them sharing festival stages with Iron Maiden, a sell-out headlining tour of the UK generating scenes of pandemonium. Intensive bouts of touring to accompany the band’s two albums to date – ‘Valley Of The Damned’ in January 2003 and the following year’s ‘Sonic Firestorm’ – has seen their fan-base escalate in quite dramatic terms. Meanwhile, the European metal press have swamped the band with almost universal reams of adulation. “DragonForce are getting bigger. Prepare for the onslaught,” Kerrang! warned. "DragonForce are as metal as f**k,” roared the UK’s Metal Hammer, “They’ll be enormous.” Writers and magazines from France, Greece, Finland, Sweden, Holland, Japan and many more wasted little time in falling under the band’s spell. Perhaps the best summation of all these accolades was Rock Hard (Germany)’s prediction that: “DragonForce could become the first British metal band in ages to reap respect from all over the world.”

Against all the odds, DragonForce have single-handedly revitalised power metal in their homeland of the UK, awarding credibility to a genre that till their arrival was regarded was little more than a joke.
Clearly, plenty rides on ‘Inhuman Rampage’. However, instead of resorting to panic and watering down the style of music that secured such a position of prominence, DragonForce have gone further over the top than ever before. The new album is faster, bolder and heavier – yet still as boldly stirring and distinctly hummable – as anything they’ve attempted so far.

“We’ve come up with the ultimate formula,” proudly declares Herman Li, one half of the band’s unstoppable guitar army. “Combining intensity, chaos and melody, with all the DragonForce trademarks, it’s something that’s never been done before. “For us, this is the next evolution in the DragonForce sound,” he continues. “I’ve never heard an album that sounds like ‘Inhuman Rampage’ – the title says it all! It's seriously gonna blow some heads off around the world during the next year.”

The eight-song album was recorded at Thin Ice Studios in Surrey and guitarist Herman Li's own studio in West London, some of its guitar sections recorded in hotel rooms while the band wound up the tour for ‘Sonic Firestorm’.
Track titles like ‘Through The Fire And Flames’, ‘Operation Ground And Pound’, ‘Revolution Deathsquad’ and ‘Storming The Burning Fields’ leave the listener in no doubt of DragonForce’s malicious intent, and more importantly their aversion to climbing the ladder of popularity by selling out. Winner of the Dimebag Darrell Best Young Guitarist award at Metal Hammer UK’s Golden Gods, Li and his six-string partner in crime Sam Totman have never sounded hungrier nor eager to prove their worth. From the start of each song to its exhausted finish, notes fly from all angles.
The album ends with its sole ballad, ‘The Trail Of Broken Hearts’, though as Totman quite rightly points out: “We still managed to squeeze three separate guitar solos in.”However, shredding for shredding’s sake has never been among the band’s intentions.Although keen to squeeze as many notes as possible into certain songs, this time the pair has experimented with various new textures and sounds.

“We wanted to keep things interesting, and there are sections of certain songs that will remind you of video games,” grins Hong Kong-born Li. “Many people will hear them and assume they were made by keyboards. That’s completely wrong. All those parts are done on the guitar.”

Which isn’t intended to under-value the superlative contribution of Vadim Pruzhanov, who co-wrote several of the album’s songs (including ‘Body Breakdown’), is credited along with Li and Totman as a co-producer and whose dazzling keyboard runs are as daring and provocative as anything performed on guitar frets. A Ukrainian by birth, Pruzhanov is fast becoming known for lengthy and insane solo excursions during the band’s live shows and has really come into his own on ‘Inhuman Rampage’. On the other hand, vocalist ZP Theart is already regarded as the glimmering pearl in DragonForce’s crown. Far too many European power metal acts are faced up by singers with the merest grasp of English diction. South African-born, Theart is the real deal – a stomping, roaring, beer-swilling frontman who fronts the band with passion and wit.

Alongside Li and Totman, Theart was a co-founder of DragonForce. The trio met in London in September 1999, using the name DragonHeart for their initial two years of existence. Quick to realise the possibilities of the internet, the band posted a set of demos at their website (www.dragonforce.com) and were rewarded not only by half a million downloads, but the interest of Sanctuary/Noise Records.

Early support UK spots with Halford and Stratovarius, plus the timely recruitment of a superior rhythm section moulded a professionalism to match their commitment, and before too long the group were placed on the launching pad of international success. The sextet toured Europe, South East Asia and the Far East to promote the debut album, and before too long, critics were queuing up to praise DragonForce’s fusion of modern melodic power metal, the energy of speed metal and the confident, in-your-face delivery of bands twice their age.

From day one, the band’s goal was to establish an identifiable style all of their own. To an outsider, the lyrics may seem to tell otherworldly tales of sword-wielding warriors occupying distant battlefield plains, but strip away the fantasy imagery and a message of modern-day positivity is right there beneath your nose. But most of all, DragonForce’s success is attributable to playing ability and perhaps their most under-played asset of all – a skill for composing ultra-memorable, rabble-rousing heavy metal anthems. ‘Inhuman Rampage’ offers indisputable proof.

How it Sounds:

El death metal es un subgénero del metal. Derivado del Thrash Metal aunque según los metaleros deathers el Death Metal apareció antes que el Thrash. Podría decirse que este, y el Black Metal, son los 2 subgéneros más pesados dentro del Heavy Metal y dentro de la música en general.

El death metal normalmente se identifica por su extrema brutalidad. Las voces guturales (llamadas en inglés growls) son ásperas y frecuentemente incomprensibles. De hecho, los fans de la banda Pan-Thy-Monium estuvieron años preguntándose por qué las letras de las canciones no venían en los álbumes, hasta que años después Dan Swäno, líder de la banda, confesó en una entrevista, que no había letras porque no existían: en su día habían decidido que el cantante usara su voz tan solo como un instrumento.

Además, el Death Metal es un estilo caracterizado por unos tempos muy abruptos, con unas baterías muy rápidas. La letra de sus canciones están relacionadas con el apocalipsis, la muerte, visiones y profecías impopulares del mundo, de violencia explícita, sueños macumberos, vida extraterrestre o de ultratumba, problemas mentales y físicos en el hombre, enfermedades, a veces se hablan temas sobre ramas de la ciencia y religión de una manera detallada, así mismo letras más maduradas sobre denuncia política, la filosofía o la mente humana. También son tópicos y frecuentes los temas relacionados con los asesinos en serie, las psicopatías, el canibalismo y la necrofilia.

El death metal es, derivado del Thrash Metal y del Black Metal, pero la historia de su formación es compleja e interesante, siendo un tema muy discutido por músicos y fans.

Las voces guturales son el primer rasgo identificativo del death metal, pero por sí solo no sirve para definir el género, pues incluiría a álbumes como "Welcome to Hell" del grupo de Thrash/Death Metal Venom, donde la voz puede ser considerada "gutural" sin que se pueda decir de la música que sea lo que hoy llamamos "death metal".

Los pioneros del Death Metal sueco de los 80's fueron Therion, Tiamat, Hypocrisy entre los mas grandes que se pueden encontrar.

Muchos fans sitúan el nacimiento del death metal aproximadamente en el año 1983-1984, debido al sonido y trabajo de la banda de Florida, Obituary, que por aquel entonces se llamaban Xecutioner. Este grupo sacó varias demos que pueden ser consideradas Death Metal. Obituary, Death, Morbid Angel crearon el Death metal, para muchos son las bandas más importante del estilo, los grupos que más potenciaron la escena.

Y desde Europa, en 1983 formados como Black Death, los ahora conocidos y miticos Darkthrone comenzarón sacando varias demos desde 1984 hasta 1989 de Technical Death Metal, en 1990 Darkthrone mostró su primer album Soulside Journey, un trabajo de más puro Death Metal, tecnico y atmosferico. También desde Europa aparece Bolt Thrower y Rotting Christ a mediados de los ochenta y ambos pioneros del Death Metal, y desde Holanda, Asphyx y Gorefest e Hypocrisy desde Suecia a finales de los ochenta.

Brasil tambien demostro varia participancion en fomentar el Death Metal, con grupos como Sepultura aunque el sonido de sus primeros trabajos era más black metalero, pero despues con una mezcla de thrash llegaron a demostrar grandes albunes a finales de los ochenta. Vulcano, Holocausto y Sarcofago son las otras propuestas brasileñas en la participación del Death Metal.

Por otra parte, la banda de California Possessed lanzó en 1985 el álbum Seven Churches, un álbum que oscila entre el thrash y death metal, muy sucio y acelerado que se considera una de las grandes influencias. Un trabajo a considerar también es Scream Bloody Gore de Death, letras características del género, sonido muy al estilo Death, voz gutural típica, es otra de las grandes influencias al género. Otros grupos importantes fueron los brasileños Sepultura, que en sus cuatro primeros discos mostraban un Thrash metal con alta influencia del Death. Celtic Frost es otro grupo a destacar, con sus dos primeros discos dieron otro paso de gigante, aun sin ser Death Metal. Este primer "death metal", reconociendo su aportación, empujaron el estilo, hacia algo que fuera realmente diferente que su padre, el thrash metal.

Bajo esta situación, el concepto moderno de "death metal" -el momento en que se separa del heavy y el thrash- se enceuntra entre 1989 y 1990, cuando la banda Death y otros ya han madurado.

Exactamente como ocurriera en la creación del heavy metal moderno por Iron Maiden y otros grupos, que fueron influenciados por la energía juvenil a finales de los '70. El desarrollo caótico, e incluso confuso, que ocurrió en esta época es ilustrado perfectamente por la banda Napalm Death, muchas veces clasificada como un grupo "grindcore". El grupo reconoce la gran influencia en sus orígenes que supusieron las demos de Death, mientras que simultáneamente era parte de la escena hardcore punk. Sin embargo, los propios Napalm Death cambiaron drásticamente de dirección sobre el año 1990, dejando el grindcore (y a muchos de los miembros de la banda) y en su disco de 1990 "Harmony Corruption" hicieron algo que se podría calificar como "death metal". De hecho, el álbum de 1989 de Terrorizer, tiene signos de la mezcla entre el hardcore punk y el thrash metal, con miembros de la banda de Florida Morbid Angel y los nuevos componentes de Napalm Death co-componiendo.

The Aftermath:

Una vez la escena Death Metal ya tenía definidas todas sus características, el estilo se desarrolló en poco tiempo, naciendo diversas bandas y obteniendo el estilo cierta fama. Hay varias escenas principales, que nombramos a continuación:

La escena de Florida: se dieron muchas bandas en la costa de Florida, las más comerciales y con sonido melódico, de este modo vendieron cientos de discos. Se puede nombrar a Death, Morbid Angel o Deicide, siendo el álbum "Deicide" el más vendido del con unos 500.000 discos por todo el mundo. Autopsy también son otra banda a destacar de la escena, con sus letras tratando temas sociales y mutilaciones orientales, aparte de desmembramientos de películas snuff. Obituary es otra de las pioneras del Death Metal. Otras bandas: Vital Remains, Atheist, Cynic o Malevolent Creation. También los Industrial Death Daath

La escena de Suecia: estos grupos le dieron un toque muy particular al estilo, teniendo un sonido de la guitarra muy melódico y con arpegios de gran complejidad, usando el sonido agudo de la guitarra y los tremolo riffs de forma habitual. Bandas importantes son Opeth, Dissection, Entombed, Dismember, Soilwork, Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquillity, Vomitory , At the Gates y Hypocrisy.

La escena de Nueva York: se basaba en los ritmos tribales y el punk neoyorquino consiguiendo un sonido más seco y bombástico que el sonido de Florida. Una de estas bandas es Cannibal Corpse, con más de 1.000.000 de discos vendidos. Más bandas Suffocation, Immolation o Incantation.

La escena de Los Ángeles: surgió a finales de los 80; esta escena se forja sobre el año 1990. Sus cacaracterísticas son el Death Metal muy brutal y a veces melódico. Más bandas: Vile, Impaled y uno de los pioneros, Deeds of Flesh.

La escena de Gotemburgo: el sonido era muy similar al sonido de Suecia, con Dark Tranquillity, In Flames como abanderados.

La escena de Polonia: esta ha sido la última escena importante en surgir, y se puede decir que ha revitalizado el estilo. Algunas de las bandas más importantes son Trauma, Dead Infection, Vader, Decapitated, o Behemoth, que empezaron haciendo Black metal pero en sus últimos discos se han vuelto completamente Death Metal. El estilo polaco tiene mucho de black metal y de doom, con ritmos ultrapesados.

La escena de Canadá: no teniendo un estilo en particular que la identifique, en los últimos años ha visto un mayor reconocimiento por parte de los medios hacia su legado. Las bandas más representativas son Kataklysm, cultores de un brutal death metal muy enraizado en el hardcore, Cryptopsy que son una agrupación de Brutal Death Metal y, finalmente, los extintos Gorguts que dejaron su huella en su álbum llamado Obscura. También destacan Martyr, Quo Vadis y Neuraxis.

La escena de Noruega: Otra escena Death de importante valoración, el lugar del Black Metal no solo tiene bandas de ese estilo, en esta escena encontraremos grupos de alta calidad como Thou Shalt Suffer, Zyklon, Old Funeral, Cadaver Inc., Mortem (luego conocidos como Arcturus) y los primeros trabajos de Darkthrone entre otros.

La escena de los Países Bajos: Una de las más importantes, destacan por su pura técnica y progresividad casi virtuosa, exprimen las guitarras hasta que no den más, Gorefest es una de las bandas más destacadas, y una de las primeras bandas de la escena Death Metal.

La escena de Grecia: Quizás tan importante como la de Florida, la escena Death Metal de Grecia es una de las más antiguas, contiene algunas bandas desconocidas, utilizan un género de rasgos Death mezclados con Black, muy técnicos y progresivos a la vez de melódicos o sinfonicos, la banda más representativa de esta escena es Rotting Christ.

La escena de Inglaterra: En Inglaterra están los creadores del estilo grindcore como Napalm Death y Carcass. Es decir la escena de Inglaterra es mucho más extema que las otras exceptuando a Florida . Pero el grupo abanderado de Inglaterra es sin lugar a duda, Bolt Thrower.

La escena de España: Se caracteriza por tener gran variedad de bandas como también estilos. Uno de los pioneros fueron los madrileños Avulsed, que hacian un Brutal Death, que aun perdura. Otro grupo que ha influido por su forma, ha sido Machetazo. Su mezcla entre Grindcore y Death Metal más bruto, les han hecho un hueco dentro de esta escena. Más bandas: Eternally, Haemorrhage, Human Mincer, Fermento o Denak. Conflict Noise.

La escena de México: A finales de los años 80 y principios de los 90, la escena mexicana aportó al mundo bandas como Anarchus, Cenotaph, Shub Niggurath, Mortuary entre otras siendo reconocidas a nivel mundial. El sonido del death metal mexicano se caracteriza por la velocidad de sus guitarras y alta calidad técnica tendiendo al grindcore. El grupo de México que en la actualidad encabeza el movimiento, por discos editados y giras por el país y América Latina, es sin lugar a duda Transmetal y Leprosy,Disgorge es otro grupo mexicano de Brutal Death y es considerado uno de los grupos mas brutales de la historia del death metal. La nueva oleada de Death Metal Mexicano puede encontrarse en bandas como Mourn Code y A Terror Omen.

Talla es un verdadero adicto al trabajo... viviendo de su pasión a la música produciendo y tambien tocando por más de tres décadas, es considerado uno de los padres fundadores de la música electrónica mundial. Viaja alrededor del mundo compartiendo sus melodías únicas, llenas de vocals, tracks llenos de pasión y de alto nivel de producción, con una increible concentración de euforia en cada segundo.

En sus viajes, ha coleccionado diferentes influencias y en sus shows, tanto sus fans como las personas que
lo escucharon por primera vez sienten y comparten su pasión de los sets poderosos y llenos de vitalidad de
Talla de comienzo a final.

Desde 2006 comparte su música desde tres importantes radioshows. Comenzando su show semanal en el programa "Sunshine Live" desde Alemania (www.technoclub.tc/radio) que lo escuchan nada menos que 1.5 millones de personas. Recientemente Technoclub se mudó para uno de los lugares más infames de la noche a nivel mundial, "U60311" en el centro de Frankfurt. Su local está situado en un insólito lugar, un antigüo paso bajo nivel peatonal. U60311 abrió en 1998 y ha sido nombrado durante 5 veces consecutivas como el mejor club de Alemania. El techo bajo y el diseño "crudo" del local junto con el perfecto sistema de sonido, lo convierten en uno de los mejores nightclubs del mundo.

convirtió en un hit en todas las pistas musicales del mundo ni bien salió de producción. Uno de sus ultimos
trabajos "Shine" recibió reacciones todavia más grandes que todas sus antigüas producciones juntas! Mucho más está por venir, Talla continua explorando nuevos caminos de producción junto con su compañero "Ace da Brain". Una abundante cantidad de producciones llenas de poder están siendo gestadas mientras lees esta nota.

Biography - Here it begins

La creación de Velvet Revolver, la reunión de cinco músicos que proceden de grupos fundamentales no resultó sencillo. Slash, Duff McKagan y Matt Sorum se unieron para tocar en un concierto benéfico en memoria de su amigo Randy Castillo, batería de Ozzy Osborne y Motley Crue, fallecido en 2002. "Había algo poderoso e intenso entre nosotros", dice Slash. "La química nunca desapareció", añade McKagan. Y los tres ex Guns N’ Roses, con la incorporación de Dave Kushner (ex Wasted Youth) como segundo guitarrista, decidieron buscar un nuevo cantante.

"No podíamos poner a cualquiera a cantar en el homenaje a Randy. Tardamos mucho tiempo en encontrar a Scott Weiland pero no fue tiempo perdido; estábamos creando los fundamentos de Velvet Revolver", dice Matt Sorum. "Éramos músicos expertos y el cantante también debía estar curtido", continúa el batería. "Para liderar esta banda necesitábamos alguien que estuviera por encima. Y conseguimos uno". Weiland no estaba en una situación óptima con su grupo Stone Temple Pilots y era un admirador de Guns N’ Roses: "Su disco Appetite for destruction era mi biblia y me enseñó todo", dice el cantante.

Cuando Slash le hizo escuchar algunas canciones, Scott Weiland se sintió impresionado: "Había al menos 15 que podían ser mías. Pensé que podíamos ser una banda con cinco cabezas". Empezaron a trabajar juntos y desde los primeros ensayos con Weiland, la banda respiraba y vivía. Grabaron la canción Set me free para la película The Hulk. Actuaron en El Rey, una sala de Los Ángeles, y la cosa funcionó. "Este concierto fue mucho más útil que cualquier ensayo en estudio", dice Slash. "Éramos un grupo de músicos que empezábamos a saber tocar juntos, todo lo opuesto a algo previsible".

Seguir con Velvet Revolver no ha sido fácil porque Weiland ha pasado por difíciles problemas personales. "Ha sido un año duro para mí", dice el cantante. "El divorcio me hizo tocar fondo emocionalmente, caí en un pozo de drogas y tuve que pagar el precio. Pero ellos estaban allí, no me juzgaban. Todos han tenido problemas y no era el único que sabía lo que era meterse tres gramos de heroína al día. Siempre estuvieron a mi lado. Era más de lo que podía esperar".

Los problemas de Scott Weiland van camino de solucionarse, pero aún no han acabado. De hecho, Velvet Revolver no puede realizar giras por el extranjero hasta Julio porque su cantante no puede salir de Estados Unidos. Pero todo llegará.

Contraband (2004) es el primer disco de Velvet Revolver. Rock contemporáneo, con ecos, como es natural, de Guns N’ Roses y Stone Temple Pilots, con un sentido de la fuerza y de la energía que se echaba en falta desde hace mucho tiempo. "Queremos recuperar el mismo sentimiento que teníamos cuando empezamos en la música por el puro placer", dice Weiland. "Y la única manera de hacerlo era empezar de cero".

Days Of Thunder

They were great, what else can you say, really? Their power came from their hearts, not just from their amps. And Cobain's words, the cloud of feeling in which he cloaked his simple song structures, came from a place you were sometimes glad you were only visiting, but were exhilarated to be visiting nonetheless. Their emotion was real, in a business — the pop-music business — in which most of what passes for emotion is just another calculation. Of course we miss them.

They dealt with their stardom — their sudden, huge renown — by ignoring it, pretty much. They had no entourage, no hangers-on, no parade of retainers to lick their boots whenever the whim arose. Showing up for an interview, they would just walk into the room, unaccompanied, bringing along their own beer, likely as not. They were funny; they were nice guys.

They had no attitude. Eddie Vedder, of Pearl Jam, would go on and on and on about how he hated rock stars, and how he wasn't a rock star, no way, and ... well, after a while, this became a new kind of rock-star attitude, one that was even more irritating than the usual sort of celebrity affectation for being slathered with such tiresome jabbering. Kurt Cobain was quietly contemptuous of rock-star excess and self-regard, but he didn't feel moved to pontification about it. (Although Guns N' Roses — veritable emperors of excess — really did seem to drive him a little nuts.)

They were so easy, so utterly down-to-earth. They had no interest in giving anybody a hard time. In December of 1993, for example, MTV was pre-taping a big New Year's Eve concert in Seattle. Nirvana was one of the bands on the bill, but the headliner was Pearl Jam. Not at all surprisingly, come the day of the show, Pearl Jam (an excellent group, don't get me wrong) flaked out. Maybe Eddie Vedder was having some sort of crisis of conscience, who knows? But they'd decided, out of nowhere, not to play. An enormous pain for all concerned. In frank desperation, the MTV producers approached Nirvana and asked the band to step in and save the show, headline it. This was a considerable imposition: Essentially, we were asking them to play all night. Nirvana said they'd think about it. And they did. They thought about it for, oh, 10 minutes or so. And they said, sure.

Maybe it wasn't a big deal for them because they were midway through a tour, and so they were playing at their peak — a lofty elevation, as anyone who ever saw them on a great night will know. At MTV News, we had been trying for some time to hook up with them: to come out on the road, shoot a concert, do an interview. We loved Nirvana like everybody else. The band was nice about it, but they said no. They'd done a ton of press at the beginning of the tour, and apparently couldn't bear to be asked one more question along the lines of what-is-this-grunge-thing? Who could blame them?

Sitting in New York, though, we were bummed. Then we thought, wait a minute ... there were two opening acts on the tour, and one of them was Shonen Knife. Shonen Knife was the all-time unlikeliest of rock acts: three burbly Japanese girls with drums and guitars who sang songs about ice cream and jelly beans and sounded like the Ramones might have sounded if the Ramones had sung songs about ice cream and jelly beans.

Perfect. We loved the Knife. We would fly out to wherever and interview the jelly-bean girls and, who knew, maybe pick up a couple shots of the Nirvana guys, too, on the fly. (Kurt Cobain really loved Shonen Knife. He would always come out from backstage to watch them play. "I cried every night," he said.)

So: great idea. The money guys at MTV certainly got a big kick out of it. We were kidding, right? Fly out to wherever to interview some Japanese band that, what, 50, 60 people had even heard of? Right.

Dismissed and dejected, we got back in touch with the Nirvana camp. We want to do Shonen Knife, we said, but it's the end of the year, budgets are tight, they won't fly us out. However, if Nirvana might possibly rethink its no-more-press decision, just this once, and agree to do an interview with us, we'd get the go-ahead and we could come out and do the Knife, too, and everybody'd be deliriously happy. Please? Please? Nirvana thought about this. Ten minutes passed. They said, sure.

They cared so much about music. Not showbiz or record sales, especially, just music. Cobain seemed to love any cool act, however obscure, that made music with an insistent passion, that refused to be laughed off or slapped down, that would play on whether anybody else cared or not. He loved Shonen Knife and he loved the Vaselines. But he wasn't an alt-rock snob. He loved David Bowie, too. He even loved Leadbelly.

Leadbelly was a name Cobain said he had come across in reading an interview somewhere with William Burroughs. (Burroughs, the Beat author and heroin laureate, was one of his idols ... unfortunately.) He first recorded the Leadbelly song "Where Did You Sleep Last Night" with his friend Mark Lanegan, of Screaming Trees, singing lead. (The track is included on Lanegan's 1990 solo album, The Winding Sheet.) And of course it was the last song he sang in the MTV "Unplugged" show Nirvana taped in New York in November of 1993. With its bleak lyric about a godforsaken place "where the cold wind blows" and "the sun don't ever shine," "Where Did You Sleep Last Night" must have resonated deeply in Cobain's troubled mind.

I had said or written somewhere that "Where Did You Sleep Last Night" was more commonly known as "In the Pines," and had been performed and recorded under that title by scores of people, chief among them, in my view, bluegrass progenitor Bill Monroe. Cobain, a man possessed by a music geek's obsession with recondite detail, was interested in this assertion. I think he was a little miffed, actually. I remember standing in a corridor outside his hotel room one night, after the interview we finally did in December of 1993, discussing this subject at some length: "But the Leadbelly version is called 'Where Did You Sleep Last Night.' " "I know, I know, but the Bill Monroe version is called 'In the Pines,' and that's the title I've always heard and — hey, did you ever hear the Dave Van Ronk version? Great guitar player." "Yeah ...?"

And so forth, more or less. Finally, we arrived at the earth-shaking conclusion that, no matter what title was appended to it, it was the same damn song, so who cared? A geek truce was called. I apologized for having impugned his folk-blues expertise. He said, hey, it was okay. He spoke very softly, I remember. Then he said goodnight and he disappeared behind his door and that was the last time I saw him.

I miss Kurt Cobain and Nirvana for the same reasons everybody else does. Apart from their music, which I think will live as long as there are ears attuned to hear it, and their live shows, which were titanic, they exuded something rare: a near magical musical power that can unite people in ecstasy or anguish, but in any case unite them, and maybe, make their lives seem a little richer and more exciting, more filled with possibility, a little more worthy of living. A sad irony in Cobain's case, of course, looking back.

I wonder if they completely appreciated the effect their music had on people. They may have been just too unassuming. "It really took a while," Dave Grohl once said, "like a year and a half or more after everything happened, that I realized, like, 'Wow, we really did kinda make a difference.' "

Kinda, yeah.

A Rage Legacy
First CD

The new-old Nirvana music is hitting stores, Pearl Jam have a new album, and the early-Nineties revival seems to be close to achieving critical mass. Enter Audioslave, a supergroup fusion of Rage Against the Machine with Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell. On first listen to this blend of rap, rock and roil, the alt-rock gene seems to have won the day. One key track is "Exploder," where stinging, whiplash riffs betray a link between Soundgarden and Rage that nobody noticed: They both thought Led Zeppelin were a funk band. If angst-shattering catharsis is what you're after, "Light My Way," which ricochets and recoils like a ball-peen-hammer party in your parents' bedroom, will do the trick. There's even something for the ladies: "I Am the Highway" is a genuine pretty power ballad -- this isn't the return of alt-rock, it's the last revenge of testicle-grabbing, limo-ridin', Gibson-guitar-hero hair metal. It's a pretty tune, but also pretty hard to take seriously after listening to such words as "I am not your autumn moon/I am the night." Elsewhere, guitarist Tom Morello's outer-space feedback histrionics threaten to steal the show -- his most astonishing effect is the satellite wail and whoop he makes on "Like a Stone." Do Audioslave rock? Sure. Is that enough? Well, no. In their past lives, the members of this band were enraged. Now, fierce as they might sound, Audioslave just seem sorta engorged.
