QCA Spa Review

I was very skeptical of purchasing a QCA Spa (Sold by both Home Depot and Target) due to a lack of information and reviews online. However, after getting some quotes back on well known hot tub brands I decided to make the plunge and order a QCA Spa mainly because it was a good $4000 cheaper than the other quotes I had. It took about 5 weeks after I placed the order for the tub to arrive (which gave me plenty of time to get a proper place setup and ready for the tub). I’ve had the hot tub for 3 months now and couldn’t be much happier! I have already enjoyed using the tub numerous times and would have no problem recommending the QCA brand hot tubs to others, especially first time hot tub buyers. The only thing that I believe that QCA might could do a little better job on is the hot tub’s insulation as it is inferior to many of the other brands I looked at. However being that I live in the south I really do not think it would be worth several thousand more dollars for a little bit more of insulation. When I get a chance I’ll update this post with some pictures of the tub in action!

Keurig B60 Updated Review

I’ve been using the Keurig B60 Coffee Maker for about a month now and am still 100% satisfied. I have the Keurig set to come on every morning while I am getting ready to go to work and all I have to do is go choose which K-Cup I would like and push one button. The K-Cup design is a great concept and makes the task of making coffee a very easy one! There are numerous flavors of coffees, teas, and hot chocolate available in K-Cups. I have finally tried enough of them out now to have a good idea of what my favorite K-Cups are. A few of my personal K-Cup favorites are the Gloria Jean’s Earl Gray Tea K-Cups when I am in the mood for a cup of tea and The Gloria Jean’s Coffee French Vanilla Supreme Coffee K-Cups most mornings before I head off to work.

BOTTOM LINE:
I am still very satisfied with this particular Keurig Coffee Maker and would give it a 9/10 rating.

Keurig B60 Coffee Maker Review

I was in need of a new coffee maker and after going through a bunch of reviews on amazon I decided to try out the Keurig B60 Single Cup Brewing System. After trying this unit out for one week I am 100% satisfied. I have the coffee maker set to automatically come on in the morning and all I have to do is go put in a K-Cup and within 30 seconds my coffee is ready to drink. I have tried a good many of the sampler coffees that come included with the B60 and so far I have enjoyed most every one of them with my favorites being the Gloria Jean Blends. I was also extremely impressed with the Earl’s Grey Tea that I decided to try one morning.

If you are trying to decide on which Keurig Coffer Maker Model is best for you make sure you consider the feature of brewing sizes. The B60 will brew your K-Cup to be 5.25oz, 7.25oz, or 9.25oz. This is a great feature because you can make each individual cup stronger or weaker based on the brewing size. One of the reasons I went with the Keurig Coffee Maker is due to its dimensions. I have just under 14″ of usable space between my counter-tops and cabinets and many of the models I was considering were too tall and would not fit under my cabinets. The chrome and black design looks great in my kitchen adding a nice modern look with the blue LED display.

You will have to remove the dip try (simply slides back) if you plan on brewing coffee to go in your travel mug. I do this every morning as I love my travel coffee mugs and they are must when on the go each morning. My favorite travel mug is by far the Nissan 14oz leak proof coffee mug.

BOTTOM LINE:
I highly recommend the Keurig B60 coffee maker and am extremely satisfied with it. I recommend reading through the other reviews on Amazon (I am just one of thousands of happy customers) and do as much research as you can to help you make a decision.

Why Charter Communications Sucks & Lost My Business (again)

Well I have never had a good experience using Charter Communication’s Cable & Internet services. I just recently moved again and thought I would give them another try (since it had been 4 years since I last tried them). Their pricing is very fair (for the first 12 months anyway) so I went ahead and placed my order and scheduled an appointment to have it setup. I found myself very shocked when the technician actually showed up when he was supposed to. After being at the house for around 45 minutes I was informed that another division of Charter needed to come out to fix something that the tech said was very simple, however he was not authorized to make the change. I was informed that he would then have to come back to my house after the other Charter worker fixed whatever it was he needed to do. The tech that did show up (who was a sub-contractor and didn’t work directly for Charter) was very apologetic and even got the appointment scheduled for me that very same day. However – like my prior experiences with Charter, they never showed up. I rescheduled two more times only to have a tech show up at my house one day when they were not scheduled to (and I was at work)…I told the lady that had called to inform me that the tech was at my house that I didn’t have an appointment scheduled that day and her response was “Charter seems to do this a lot” so even their own dispatchers realize that Charter is very unorganized. After trying to reschedule yet again and learning it was going to take 2 more weeks before Charter could get back to my house I told them to screw off that I would pay more money and get DirecTV along with Bellsouth DSL. They basically said “OK” and never called me again to apologize or anything.

So I did order Bellsouth DSL & DirecTV:

Bellsouth – ordered online and received a package at the door the very next day. It only took me 10 minutes to setup the service myself and I had high speed internet – WELL WORTH not screwing around with Charter anymore.

DirecTV – lots of HD channels I would not have gotten with Charter – technician installed when it was scheduled and everything was a breeze.

I have read very very few positive comments about Charter Communications online which inspired me to rant about my experience with them. Unfortunately in my area (Birmingham, AL) Charter is the only option people have to choose from unless you decide to go the satellite and dsl route which is more expensive, however in my opinion well worth it!

Why Would You Give Up On Ron Paul?

I have talked to several friends recently who have the attitude that they will not vote for Ron Paul because he has no chance of winning. This attitude is never going to help you get what you think is best if you simply settle for an alternative. I feel like this attitude causes a chain reaction that makes many would be Ron Paul voters change their minds and vote on an alternative that has a better chance of winning the election. The same attitude can also be seen from many Ron Paul supporters on the internet wondering when they should switch their vote as seen in this post that I found on Reddit: When Do We, As Paul Supporters, Switch to Obama?Â There are some interesting comments on that post that you should read.Â The bottom line is: NO OTHER CANDIDATE COMES CLOSE to Ron Paul’s ideas on how to run the country and if you believe in him you need to go vote for him.Â Ron Paul will never have the slightest chance unless you go vote for him!

Philips Norelco T980 Review

I’ve been in need of a new beard trimmer and when I saw the T980 Philips Norelco vacuum trimmer pop up on Amazon at an amazing price (down to just $39.99 now) I promptly ordered it. I was somewhat wary of how well the trimmer would work as it has a built in vacuum to help prevent your sink from getting hair all over it. I have been using the trimmer for two weeks now and absolutely love it! I can’t believe how well the vacuum actually works – I no longer have to clean the sink after trimming my beard and mustache. One of my favorite features of this trimmer is that it is a built in adjustable length feature so you can make sure you always trim your beard or mustache to the exact same length without having several attachments to add – all you do is turn the dial and the cutting length can be set to your satisfaction. Again I will say that that it is amazing how well the trimmer collects all your little hairs using the vacuum system on the razor and would definitely recommend this to others. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate this product a 9.8! Check around for the best current pricing but at the time of this post Amazon had the best pricing (linked below)

Toshiba HD-A30 DVD Player Review

Toshiba HD-A30 1080p HD DVD Player

I recently purchased the HD-A30 DVD player from Amazon since they had a promotion going on that you received 10 free HD DVDs when purchasing a Toshiba HD DVD player. I’ve now had time to watch several hd dvds on it and I have to say that I am impressed.Â The HD quality is as I expected.Â Â I do have it hooked up to my 1080p LCD TV.Â The DVD upscaling also appears to work really well.

My only negatives: The boot time on this DVD player is a little slow, however this is just a minor flaw in the player.Â I’d estimate it takes the player around a full minute to boot up and load a disc. Â

Just thought I would wish everyone a happy holidays since I have not been posting too much on my website.Â Also – I’ve been meaning to write up a post on a website which I have been spending some of my spare time on lately, www.duelboard.com which is an online site to play Rook (card game for those of you who do not know).Â This is by far the best place to get an online game together for Rook – players are ranked to help you get a fair matchup.Â Anyways – I’ll try to post more often in 2008.
