This is my second time engaging Aunty Mary as my confinement nanny. You can read my first testimonial for Aunty Mary in her blog. As usual, Aunty Mary is very good with baby and me. She cooks delicious food for me and keeps the kitchen very clean. Every night during feeding time she will bring baby to me to breastfeed. After that, I will just go back to bed and she will burp, change and put baby back to bed. She is very probreastfeeding and cooks food that will enable mummys to have more breastmilk.

Aunty Mary has many years of experience of taking care a new born baby and a mummy after gave birth. She always concern about baby and mummy's health. She also can cook different type of confinement food everyday, the taste is great. A mummy who is on confinement will never feel bore at home, because Aunty Mary is very humor and always bring a lot of joy and happiness to mummy. Is highly recommended.

Baby's umbilical cord dropped nicely within 5 days. Went to PD for review, jaundice is not serious, so no need for further blood test. Just observe for next few days. All thanks to Aunty Mary's good care.

Time flies, today Aunty Mary is leaving us after taking care of mommy and baby day & night for 30 days. Mommy has been naughty, so Aunty has to nag her everyday to drink more red date water, to get more rest and to finish the food fast before it turns cold. All those for mommy sake. Aunty also prepared a lot of good meals with different herbal soup daily to help recovery mommy's body and strength. Aunty Mary gave a lot of advise on what can be eaten and what to avoid and things to take note even after confinement. We will always remember her and all her cares to us.

Today is the last day and Aunty Mary is leaving us after doing 5 weeks of confinement with us. This is the second time that we are engaging Aunty Mary and she is just as good as we remember her to be. She has been a good help and I managed to get a lot of rest. The most important thing is she loves baby and is very responsible and experienced. I can even trust her to take care of baby while I go out. Aunt is very particular in hygiene and cleanness when comes to handle baby or baby's stuff. She is pro-breastfeeding and cooks food to help me enhance milk supply. She was really patient in teaching me how to breast-feed my baby. As for taking care of me, Aunty passes with flying colours.
She is like a mummy taking good care of me. Really lucky to have her.

This is the second time that we are engaging Aunty Mary and she is just as good as we remember her to be. Apart from being able to cook well and being good with the baby, she also helped massaged my baby. My baby was born slightly premature but Aunty Mary did such a good job of caring for her that you would not even realise now. My older child who was looked after by her when he was a newborn, is also especially close to her. Now he already 1 and half years old. I guess babies and children are able to sense when someone truly cares for them.

Today is the last day and Aunty Mary is leaving us after doing 5 weeks of confinement with us. Overall, I am satisfied with her taking care of me and my baby girl.

Aunty Mary took care of mummy well and she cooked a variety of chinese herbal soups to suit mummy's needs during confinement period. She was very patient and caring with my baby girl. In addition, she encouraged exclusive breast feeding if possible. She has helped me to prevent breast engorgement. Overall, she is a very confident confinement lady.

How time flies, Aunt Mary has stay with us for nearly 2 months ( March - May '13) and she will be leaving us 2 days later. This is the second time I have engaged Aunt Mary for her confinement service, the first time was in year 2010, recommended by my sister.

Aunt Mary takes great care of my baby, priorities baby's needs above all. She showers my girl with lots of love, giving her a sense of security, talking to her, playing with her, smoothing her when she cries or fuss. Even when my girl stays awake in the awe morning, Aunt took it upon herself, looking after my girl, to ensure I have a good rest. As baby has no immunity in the first 3 months, Aunt is very particular in hygiene and cleanness when comes to handle baby or baby's stuff for example, baby's milk powder, diaper changing when baby's poo. And when my girl has stomach upset due to unsuitable milk powder, she will help to massage my girl ( of course to supplement her with a fee ).

Aunt Mary can cook a variety of delicious, non-oily confinement food and just using pork rib, she can use different ingredients to come up with many varieties. I have previously dislike pig trotter or pig stomach soup but as a must to eat during confinement, it gives me a different new after eating hers. Every meals ( lunch and dinner ) are always 1 herbal soup + 2 dishes ( alternate with fish / chicken / pork / vegetables ) + a big plate of rice which she will nag at me to eat it hot in order to have milk to feed my little one.Every morning, you wake up and she will also nag at you to finish the tea. Though she nag, deep down in my heart I know she nag for my own good.

I would highly recommend her if you are looking for a responsible, reliable, meticulous and experience confinement lady.

Auntie Mary has been doing confinement for me for a month. She is very caring of my baby and able to cook a variety of good and nutritious confinement food for me.

She took good care of my baby day and night, to ensure that I have good rest during my confinement periods.

She was really patient in teaching me how to breast-feed my baby, although I am a mother of two kids. For the first few days I did not have enough milk. She cooked some dishes and tonic soup to boost up my milk supply. So, I was able to fully breast-feed my baby from the second onward.

SUPERB CONFINEMENT NANNY

Aunty Mary is a superb confinement nanny. She takes care of baby's needs 110%. Whenever baby cries, she instinctively knows if the baby is hungry, needs a diaper change or just needs to be fussed over. My baby girl has never regurgitated milk in Aunty's care. Aunty also always puts oil on baby's stomach so she will not have wind on the tummy.

Aunty Mary is very pro-breastfeeding. She encourages me to latch baby on as often as possible even though I do not have a lot of milk. Aunty is very organised - whenever I need to pump my milk, all the equipment is there, readily sterilized and ready for me to use. Having said that, Aunty keeps the kitchen spic and span. She wipes the stove after every meal and the kitchen is not oily at all. She is very particular about cleanliness and will sweep the floor every few days if she has the time.

As for taking care of me, Aunty passes with flying colours. All the food she cooks is delicious, not too oily or salty. The longan and red date tea is ready early in the morning and the herbal water used for bathing is also prepared by Aunty early in the morning. Mummies can have a good night's rest as Aunty feeds and changes baby at night. (I do not breastfeed at night and so do not have to wake up at night.)

Aunty lets you bathe baby whenever you are ready. In the last week Aunty is with us, she teaches us everything and basically imparts her knowledge to us. We will definitely miss Aunty when she leaves. One more thing I need to add - Aunty always asks me to sleep or at least lie down to rest after every meal. She will nag when I am sitting on the sofa watching TV. I am obviously not one of her best clients as I dislike napping in the afternoon! But Aunty still nags and I know it is for my own good.

Aunty Mary was my confinement lady for 1 month in Nov 2011 and she really took great care of me and my baby. She was very patient with my baby and was able to identify what each of his cries meant.

She was very thorough and meticulous when cleaning my baby during nappy changes and at bath time. My baby returned home from the hospital with bad diaper rash but after her care the diaper rash disappeared within a day or two.

Aunty Mary was l;so very systematic in the way she planned her grocery shopping and the meals for the week. This minimized wastage and ensured that I had a good variety of different dishes during my meals. The confinement dishes which she prepared were excellent in variety and tastes and greatly enhanced milk production. The systematic way she approached her daily chores also ensured that everything wascompleted in a timely fashion (e.g. my breast pumps and bottles were always steriled when I needed them. Meals were always on time and baby was always fed without fuss.)

As first time parents, there were several things which were missing in our house and not prepared for. Aunty Mary's experience and guidance on what items were needed or which brands were better, had really set us up well for our new journey into parenthood. Auntie Mary was engaged by us as a confinement lady for a month. During her stay with us, we have found her to be highly competent in all areas of childcare. Her experience as a caregiver is evident in her relaxed and intuitive way that she has cared for my son. She is able to handle children with appropriate care and has also taken appropriate steps to ensure my son's health & safety. She is a very clean, careful and meticulous lady towards babycare and is also someone who is responsible and committed in her work. She takes great care of me and my baby throughout the confinement period and ensure that I have a good rest during this period.She treats my baby like her own grandson and showers him with loys of TLC(Tender Loving Care) and loves him a lot which makes my baby feels very secure under her care.

Besides that, Auntie Mary's cooking is excellent with a wide variety of choices of dishes daily in every meal. She is also able to relate to people of different ages, genders, cultural backgrounds and has good knowledge not only on childcare, but also on food culture and the different types of Chinese herbs and their uses/benefits and areas of application.

An efficient, organized, reliable and trustworthy lady who does not complain and even willing to help to do extra work for me when required. I would say her vast years of experiences, coupled with her knowledge, tender loving care and patience has made her stand out and to be different from others as a confinement lady should you need to engage one!

Aunt Mary has worked for us for 1.5 months. During her stay with us as the confinement lady, she has taken very good care of our baby girl. She is a very systematic and detailed helper who is very skillful in cooking delicious confinement food and tonics. We definitely missed her pig trotters in vinegar & the many styles of cooking (Cantonese, Hokkien, Hakka) she has done for us.
Her many years of looking after babies were very evident in the way she had cared for my baby girl; she really enjoyed the way Aunt Mary bathed her & she seldom cried at night when Aunt Mary was looking after her.
Besides taking care of the baby & my wife, Aunt Mary also helped out in the household chores like sweeping the floor & washing the laundry as we don't have a maid. The kitchen was always spick & span after she cooked, which was rare if you ask around for feedback on other confinement ladies.
All in all, her excellent knowledge of Chinese herbal tonics & baby-sitting experience will definitely bring a benefit to you if you are looking for a very responsible & meticulous confinement lady who is very pro-breast feeding.
