Team Fortress 2 Free Weekend, Demoman/Soldier Update

A new update for Team Fortress 2 is about to land, offering updates for both the Demoman (sword and shield) and the Soldier, who gets a new rocket:
...the Direct Hit has a 70% smaller blast radius than a traditional rocket launcher. But the rockets that come out of this thing move fast and hit hard: 80% faster and with 25% more destructive force. Best of all, for you real sharpshooters, the Direct Hit guarantees mini-crits on airborne targets.

A free weekend is about to kick off as well, giving you the chance to take the new changes for a test drive - so (if you haven't got the game already) start pre-loading and get ready for a weekend of TF2 mayhem.

Kane & Lynch 2 Debut Trailer

We've known about IO Interactive's Kane & Lynch sequel for quite some time, but they've been pretty tip-lipped on actual media from the game. That hasn't changed today with the release of the debut trailer, which doesn't show much more than the previous teasers.

Today's clip is a rather obnoxious cinematic that presumably sets up the scene for the new game. It's not family friendly and potentially NSFW, so we won't embed it. You'll have to Click over this way if you want to check it out.
Love them or hate them, they're back! Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is a raw and brutal crime shooter designed to take players on an intense and unforgiving experience, following two of gaming's most authentic and realistic criminals through the gritty Shanghai underworld. Get a glimpse of the stark circumstances facing the world's two most notorious criminals in the highly-charged debut trailer and witness the events prior to their bare-knuckle exploits in Dog Days
Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is in the works for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for a yet-to-be-determined 2010 release date.

Red Dead Redemption Preview

We took a look at the game quite a whiles back, and in typical Rockstar fashion, they haven't stopped working on it or polishing it, meaning the latest preview we were given offered even more compelling evidence to utterly want and need this game.

Seeing two new missions, some side-missions, more of the game-world life on offer, new locales and a glimpse at some of the high-action sequences we'll be playing through next year on April 30th definitely made for some great viewing. This one is for lovers of big game-worlds, intense story-lines and westerns.

Napoleon: Total War Preview

AusGamers was lucky enough to check out a recent preview session for The Creative Assembly's forthcoming Total War update, Napoleon: Total War, and walked away verily excited at what we saw.

While Stormrise might be best forgotten, there's no denying these guys know this franchise better than their own hands, and the improvements over Empire: Total War are an excellent example of that.

It's by no means a massive revolution over the aforementioned game, but we argue it's looking better anyway.

Goodbye EA, Hello Bethesda - Rage

It seemed like an up-in-the-air situation anyway, post-Bethesda id buyout, but no one really knew what the go with id's forthcoming post-apocalyptic shooter, Rage, was since it was initially being published by EA.

However, news came across the AusGamers virtual desk this morning that appears to indicate Bethesda have taken everything of id, lock, stock and rageing megatextures.

According to Bethesda's interim PR guys, this has not affected anything externally in the game's development, we can just expect a Bethesda sticker on it in place of an EA one.
Without getting too bogged down in excited hyperbole (because some of these rule), here're the trailers:

Batman: Arkham Asylum 2

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

Medal of Honor

True Crime

Spec Ops: The Line (Director's Cut trailer available here)

Tron: Evolution

Crackdown 2

Halo Reach

That's all we have for you here, however, there were three more revealed which can only be found over at Game Trailers, and these are the awesome Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, Greenday Rock Band and Deadliest Warrior.
