Dispolar began as a humble one-man-band a month ago to the day, before finally evolving into a 'live' band (featuring the talented half of Kangaroo Kebab and the percussive half of Michael Crafter) two weeks ago yesterday. While it's all progressing quite well, Dispolar are still in need of a four stringer slinger to complete the band. Rehearsals at Brookvale/Dee Why, so transport is essential. FFO: fast hardcore that sometimes likes to pretend that it's powerviolence

Those chaps at Fat Ass Records have gone and done it again.  They've put out another 7" and this one is a corker!!

Two bands, one disc, a lesson in splits.

If you have ever read this blog then Captain Cleanoff don't really need to be explained to you.  Their portion of the release contains 2 new songs and a cover of the Righteous Pigs.  It looks to me like their artwork is done by Glenno, you love it.

Flip the disc to side 'A' and you get War Of The Second Dragon (WotsD).  WotsD is a new band formed by Shane Embury from Napalm Death with dudes  John Cooke, David Flower, and Duncan Wilkins.  5 minutes, no slow moments here, pure grindcore blast.

Prepare for punishment!!!

Diploid, those Victorian people who play a form of Blackened Hardcore and feature a dual 'gender equal' vocal attack, are coming to Sydney and its surrounds.  They are even joined by Queenslanders, Dirty Charlie, on the Saturday.  That's two interstate bands plus some pretty good locals for the price of one!

What a big week for grindcore.

Sydney gets a second international grind show in two days, as Japan's Noisegrind monsters are joined by split pals UMBILICAL TENTACLE (VIC), and supported by Sydney's THEDOWNGOING & HACKED TO CHUNKS at BLACKWIRE RECORDS tonight.

5 clams for 4 bands. All ages, doors at 7.

And don't be all punk and turn up an hour and a half late and expect to see all the bands, this show has gotta be finished early to not piss off the neighbours.
