All the way from New Zealand, the land that bought us LOTR and Flight of the Conchords, Dr. Sketchy Austin brings international burlesque starlet Eva Strangelove Eva Strangelove’s MySpace. She’s been a regular performer and model for Dr Sketchy’s Wellington and Auckland New Zealand. Join us as she gets down to her knickers in her U.S. Sketchy premiere!

Eva has just performed successful shows at the Dallas Burlesque Festival earlier this month and will be in the Burlesque for Peace show on Valentines night. And now, you can catch a performance and sketch opportunity at the next Dr. Sketchy Austin.

The session is Sunday, February 21st from 5-8pm at the United States Art Authority Building. Please arrive a few minutes before 5pm and bring your own art supplies. Tables are $15 and Chairs are $10.

She will also be selling her beautiful, autographed calendars at this special Austin Sketchy but you can buy them here ahead of time.

I am very excited to announce the January 2010 model for Dr. Sketchy is the amazingly gorgeous, out of this world, original RUBY ROCKIT! You’ve seen her with Red light Burlesque and Dolls From the Crypt. Now see her up close and personal as she poses for your sketching pleasure.

The session is Sunday, January 17th from 5-8pm at the United States Art Authority Building. Please arrive a few minutes before 5pm and bring your own art supplies. Tables are $15 and Chairs are $10.

Join us for a special fundraiser edition of Dr. Sketchy on Thursday, October 1st from 7-9:30pm at the United States Art Authority. All proceeds from this show go to help Austin Pets Alive http://www.austinpetsalive.org/. All models from this session are appearing in Animalesque, an animal themed burlesque show, on October 16th that also benefits Austin Pets Alive. Reservations are $5 per chair and $10 per table. If you would like to hold a spot, please send an email to me at MissD@austinsketchy.com with your full name and preference for a table or chair.

Models for this session include:

Ms. Scarlett, from Burlesque for Peace, as a pretty peacock.

Ginger Snaps, from Black Widow Burlesque, as a kurvaceous kitty.

I am extremely excited about our new venue as we will have access to food, coffee and alcohol from Spiderhouse. This venue is also paint friendly so bring your brushes and pens.

Hello all! Due to an unscheduled trip to Argentina (surprise birthday present), I will have to reschedule the next full session of Dr. Sketchy for April 19th from 5-8pm at the Art Authority Building.

Until then, please feel free to join us for burlesque, live music, cupcakes and scantily clad figure models at the Special SXSW Dr. Sketchy. We are partnering with Doryan’s (your new MC) Event to combine many of our loves. Come on down to taste the cupcakes, watch the ladies, hear some tunes and sketch some amazing figures.

Dr. Sketchy returns on Sunday, February 22nd from 5-8pm at the United States Art Authority Building (next to Spiderhouse Cafe). I’m super excited about our new location as now we will have access to food, coffee AND alcohol from Spiderhouse.

This time around, our model is the lovely, fiery and red-headed Tynkerhell from Dolls from the Crypt http://www. myspace. com/dollsfromthecrypt.

Join us as we sketch, paint and otherwise visually appreciate the beauty of yet another fine Austin burlesque dancer. Bring your art supplies (paints too) and come on down for a three hour figure drawing session, complete with drinks, music and prizes.
