It was not a super exciting day..obviously because it was Monday. And we have a big release coming up in a few days so like everyone else in the office I am swamped with work. But something extraordinary happened.

I was going through my facebook fan page and saw someone’s message. I read the message and clicked on the link she had left there. It was her personal blog (http://creativwins.wordpress.com/2011/02/04/inspiration/). I quickly glanced through and saw my name in the last paragraph. When I read what she wrote, couldn’t help but really skipped some beats. I never thought I could inspire and touch someone so closely. When we hear and read something like this, it gives meaning to what we do. But its only when we find that meaning, we realize how important it is.

Thanks Priya…for bringing me back.

Let’s call him Mr A (Poor guy, utterly oblivious to the fact that the girl runs a blog). So last Saturday Mr A invited me to try out some mussels and fries at Granville Moore’s over on h street. And just like everyone proclaims, they were amazing. Can’t say if it was food or the company but I did have good time. We instantly hit in the beginning but then towards the end it got a little boring. We were planning for a dessert but then I excused myself for feeling a little sick and asked him to drop me home.
I could tell he was a little disappointed initially, but then I apologized for being such a snob. He was very sweet and did not seem to mind at all.

I can’t say if I liked him a lot but he was sweet. We did talk over the phone a couple of times after that and have decided to meet for dessert one of these days. Joise says I am very picky when it comes to men. But you know thats how it should be. You gotta be with the best one. He has a great career, works at the Bank, also means globe trotter like me. That suits me very well. Gosh! I can’t stop talking about him.

Anyways so Halloween is coming. Meg was saying the other day we should all drive down to NYC for that weekend. I might have to go back to India, work is picking up big time and they want me back in the office. But I cannot miss the costume party at Halloween. BTW I found some really nice greeting cards for Halloween to send to friends. Check them out.

Josie and I had to walk back home in the rain. We had a great time walking, sometimes adventures like this help to clear mind. I met this guy a few days ago at Meg and Javier’s reunion. Yes, they are back together. Meg says its for Ian. But I know this isn’t the real reason. Can’t say if I am happy because this might not last for too long. But what’s good is they are not going to live together but will see each other. So this guy (I still don’t know his name) he called me the other day, we shared phone numbers at the party. I usually don’t give people my number but there was something about him that I couldn’t stop.

The last few days I have spent cursing me for giving him the number. Then he called. I don’t know if it was – oh! I am so glad moment or why did you call, but we have decided to meet. Josie knows about my little secret now. She didn’t say anything – rather we didn’t say anything – don’t want to jinx it.

Anyways the iPAD contest at authorSTREAM is over. Four lucky fellas – each one of them won an iPAD for creating spectacular presentations. Evey time the winner was announced, I wished secretly that it was someone closer. Only so I could catch the winning moment live.
