The Kia Telluride was redesigned for its second generation for the 2027 model year. With the midsize SUV coming off a recent redesign, we expect the 2028 model to be a carryover vehicle without any major changes. Here’s what we expect to see from the 2028 Kia Telluride.The 2028 Kia Telluride is expected to retain the current model’s exterior design. The midsize SUV will have an upscale design with vertically oriented headlights, a slim H-shaped grille with horizontal and vertical slats, an upright front-end design, and a rectangular air intake at the bottom of the squared-off bumper. The side of the SUV has a boxy silhouette, black roof pillars, flush door handles, and slim body cladding. At the back, the Telluride has a small rear spoiler, an upright liftgate, a robust rear bumper, and slim taillights.Kia isn’t expected to make any changes to the Telluride’s interior design for 2028. The current version of the SUV has a tiered dashboard design, dual displays that are integrated into a single panel, a square steering wheel, rectangular air vents, and a large center console with plenty of storage. These features should continue to be standard on the 2028 Kia Telluride.2028 Kia Telluride Engine & SpecsKia is expected to offer the 2028 Telluride with two different engines. The gas-powered model should come with a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 274 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available.The 2028 Telluride should be available with a hybrid engine. The current Telluride Hybrid features a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, two electric motors, and a 1.65-kWh battery pack. Combined output is rated at 329 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque. The hybrid comes with a six-speed automatic transmission and FWD.
