The midsize Lexus GX is in its third generation, which was introduced for 2024. With the SUV still feeling fresh, we expect the upcoming 2027 GX to be a carryover model. Here’s what we expect to see from the 2027 Lexus GX.The current Lexus GX has a rugged, yet elegant design, and we expect the 2027 model to have the same overall look. The GX should continue to have an upright front-end design with triangular headlights, angular trim pieces that flank the shield-shaped grille, a robust black bumper, and prominent ridges on the hood. The side of the GX reveals its boxy silhouette, square rear mirrors, prominent body line that connects the hood to the taillights, and chunky fenders. At the back, the GX should have a small rear spoiler, rectangular taillights that are connected by a lightbar, and an upright liftgate.The 2027 Lexus GX should have the same interior design as the current model that’s on sale. The GX has a flat dashboard with a recessed digital instrument cluster that resides in a large trim piece that’s connected to the central display that sits in front of the dash. The SUV has a mix of physical and touch-capacitive controls on the dash, a chunky gear shifter, and rectangular air vents. The 2027 GX is expected to be available with three rows of seats.Standard tech features for the 2027 Lexus GX should include a 14-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 10 audio speakers, a Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, six USB ports, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Bluetooth.2027 Lexus GX Engine & SpecsPower for the 2027 Lexus GX should continue to come from a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 engine that makes 349 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque.
