We are beginning the process of cleaning, packing, and itemizing all the things lost or damaged in the fire. I'm trying to take it all one day at a time and not get so overwhelmed.

But this week I'm going to stay extra positive!

Midweek Confession

I'm seriously in love with this link, it's hilarious to read what other people confess about!

Now onto mine....

This was supposed to be last weeks confession but I pretty much lost my mind after hearing my friend passed away.

So here's a combo of both weeks!

I swear I can lose my phone or a tv remote in half a second! Last week I sat my phone in my lap, then .02 secs later I went to get it & it was gone! After searching everywhere I found it under the seat?! Like WTH?!

After deciding to grow my hair out this year, I feel like everyone cut theirs short! Every time someone posts a new short hair cut pic I die a little with envy! Especially if it's a Courtney Kerr inspired cut! Can I seriously be her?! She's so perfect!

I planned my hair cut/color around my spray tan ~~this~~ last week. I can't add more blonde if I look like Caspers cousin, so it was necessary.

The Bachelorette premired Monday but I was at a fundraiser so I didn't watch it. That means I've been staying off of every website that might spoil it for me until I watch it tonight!

Speaking of shows, I literally haven't watched any of my shows since last week! I have so much watching to do this week!

I know a lot of people make summer bucket lists, & I to used to jump on that bandwagon, but I never finish them! Like don't even make it halfway through! Plus I work a crazy schedule so I'll be a real life grandma this summer! ):

But can I just say how excited I am for summer?!

Minus the bathing suit shopping.

Thirsty Thursday!

It's Thursday which means one more day till Friday! Wooo!

In honor of that I'm sharing one of my favorite low cal margarita recipes!

Thirsty Thursday: Marg by ashleemv

Here's what you need:

-Crystal Light Margarita Mix packets

-Tequila

-Triple Sec

-Water

-Ice

-Blender

Instructions:

1. Add about 1 1/2 c water in the blender.

2. Then add 1 CL packet.

3. Add a splash of triple sec, maybe 1-2 tablespoons, just however orangey you like it.

4. Pour in around 1c tequila, or however much depending on your mood. (I like mine strong)

5. Throw in some ice, around 4 cups.

6. Blend it all up!

7. Pour into a salt rimmed cup & add a lime!

*Sometimes I like to add a little lime juice, especially if I over poured the triple sec!

I confess...

After reading a few confessions this morning I knew I had to make some confessions too...

I've taken some sort of nap every day..those long weekends mess my schedule up

But I stay up late watching The Golden Girls...I love me some Blanche & cheesecake!

I'm loving that RHOC, RHONY, & RHOA are all on right now! Between Sonja/Heather, Nene/Porsha, & Vicki/Tamra I cant quit cracking up! They're so quick witted!

Sonic has new flavor add ins & I must try them all....even if some have nerds candy (ew!)

Have you heard there is a Mrs. Doubtfire sequel in the works?! I hope they don't ruin it.

If I had my own place, you better believe I would have a fabulous bar cart!

Coconut Oil

I use this everyday!

It's the best thing I've used at removing my mascara. I also mix a little in with my lotion to really moisturize my legs. There are so many uses for coconut oil, just do a Pinterest search! It's amazing!

I'm excited to say that Spring has sprung here in TN!

My dogwood trees are blooming, the grass needs to be mowed, and the temperatures are going to be in the high 70s for the next few days! There's nothing like warm weather that makes me want to change my whole wardrobe, but you never know how April weather can be. So instead of bringing out all my summer clothes just yet I'll just add in some fresh details.

1&2. The first thing that pops into my head with warm weather is sandals! I'm not really into flip flops, so I tend to look for fun sandals that are great for work & play. Wedges are also a favorite of mine because they are super comfy & can be dressed up or down. But you can't wear a fab sandal & not have a great toe color! I'm pretty obsessed with nudes right now so these Essie polishes are perfect!

3. With warm weather comes the sun & we all know that that brings. Ain't nobody got time for wrinkles! Of course that's a perfect excuse to buy a new pair, or 3, of sunnies. I love love love a cat eye, they just make me feel sassy. Also, these mirrored aviators have really grown on me & after seeing them on so many people I feel like I need to find some to try out.

4. Pink lips just say spring. I'm constantly on the hunt for the perfect pink lipstick. So far these two are my favorite. They are really bright & have great staying power!

Do you ever have one of those days that you just can't believe it happened?

That would've been my Monday!

It started off just as any regular ol' Monday would. I got up, went to work, & so on.

It wasn't until around noon I received a text asking me if I had heard about what happened to my friend.

Well yea I knew, he had talked to me yesterday about how he went to the doctor and had bronchitis.

Wrong.

Apparently sometime Monday morning something had happened & he was now hospitalized.

Being the worrier I am, I flipped out.

Of course due to the laws nurses can't give out any info over the phone. So I just had to wait, which drives me crazy!

It wasn't till after work that I got a call from my friend. I could tell right away that whatever she was about to tell me wasn't going to be good, and it wasn't.

So, that's why I'm writing this.

I need everyone reading this to pray for my good friend Cody & his family.

Right now they are going through the process of understanding his diagnosis & will need tremendous strength.

I thank y'all from the bottom of my heart for doing this!

I know that with the power of prayer & God that great things can happen!

Oh heyyy!

Do y'all remember me?! It's only been a couple of months, right?!

But seriously, I have been a major slacker on here! Sometimes I just get terrible writers block or I get too caught up with life.

So what's been going on with me these last few months?

Actually a few major things have happened. I'll start with the good! My brother got engaged on New Year's Eve!! I just feel like in the past 2 years he's grown up on me! He's transformed from my pesky teenage brother to a mature young man & now a fiancé! I do wish time would slow down!

In the midst of all that joy came something terrible. My dad passed away mid December. I've known for a while that he wasn't healthy but I never imagined I would get a call saying that he had less than a week to live. I am so thankful that he came out of his mild coma so that we could have one final chat and share some laughs. I don't think anyone truly knew how deeply I cared for my dad, besides him. It's so hard to watch someone struggle & know you can't help them. If I would've know all of this at this time last year things would've been so much different. It just shows you how short life truly is.

Other than that I've just been trying to enjoy my life!

Hopefully I can get back into the swing of things. I just feel like I write about a bunch of random stuff, but in reality that's how I am..random.

Be prepared for lots of different topics; like make up, what I'm currently obsessed with, or maybe what I'm doing at work.

Whatever it is, I hope to keep you entertained!

As of Friday I am officially done with my RDA classes! Woo-hoo!! Now all I need to do is send off my state paperwork & I'll be registered! I'm one step closer to "adulthood".

If you haven't watched Eric & Jessie on E! you are seriously missing out! If I could have a dream husband/relationship it would be theirs! They are so precious. Weekend Shenanigans!

Birthday weekend was a success!

It kicked off Thursday night with a surprise from my brother, which was a keurig! I literally flipped out! I had no idea! I felt like a 5 year old on Christmas morning!

Friday started off with a morning cup of coffee via my keiurig...which led to 3 more. Then I had an amazing lunch at O'Charley's. Rolls + potato soup + caramel pie = amazingness!

I had class Friday night & we've started more clinical stuff!

This week was impressions! Sounds fun right? It's harder than it looks!

I also found out I have a small tori on my maxillary arch! I went to get sized for my impression tray & was told to sit down, open my mouth, and all the girls were supposed to line up to look in my mouth.

I, of course, thought I had some crazy deformation/teeth. I don't do well with being put on the spot.

Saturday was when we got to practice on each other! Woo-Hoo!

It took me 3 times to finally get a mold of all her teeth & it took her 5 times on me. I guess I got a little alginate snack! But practice makes perfect! Then we got to pour our stone & trim them!

Later that night I had a little dinner with my friends. Nothing says Happy Birthday like mexican food & margaritas! Instead of going out I decided to just go hang out with a few people! It was a blast! If only I could post the videos!

Sunday was the first official day of Fall! Once again I was overly excited!

It was only appropriate to light fall candles & bake something with pumpkin, right?!

This technically isn't part of the weekend but I got a spray tan this morning!

It feels a little sticky and I hope I don't end up looking crazy but I will be posting pics, hopefully, soon!

Where have these years gone?!

Does anyone else feel like 23 just sounds more adult-ish?

I also feel like this is my last year before I start getting asked about marriage, careers, babies, etc.

Hmmm only time will tell!

Spend a weekend in Gatlinburg

Put up our "Fall Tree"

Bake a lot of pumpkin treats! (breads, cupcakes, etc.)

Make my own PSL

Tailgate/Football game

Drink lots of hot chocolate/spiced cider…maybe spiked. (;

Watch LOTS of Halloween Movies (Hocus Pocus, Casper, Under Wraps, etc)

Over these past few years Old Navy has been a go to store for me! They always have great sales or a promotion that just draws me to them. These are some of my faves from them for fall!

Chambray

I actually don't own anything chambray but this tunic style shirt or dress makes me want to wear it! I can see this easily dressed up or down!

Graphic Sweaters

Aren't these adorable? I love them both! I can definetly see me pulling on of these during a chilly day with some skinny jeans, boots, & pearls!

Military

I wasn't crazy about this trend until I saw people on Instagram style it. Now I'm on the hunt for the perfect olive piece along with a little camo!

Ponte Pants

I've been reading a lot of blogs talking about J Crew's pixie pant & how they were fabulous. When I stumbled across ON version I was excited that I could try them at a fraction of the cost! They are thicker than normal leggings but just as comfy! I can't wait to get my hands on these!

Pointed-Toe Flats

Besides boots these are going to be some of my go to shoes this fall. I love how they add a dressy feel to an outfit! They're a fun addition to throw in to your normal, everyday flats!

I've picked up blogging again just in time for my favorite season...FALL!

Hopefully you love it just as much as I do because I've got some fabulous ideas in mind for upcoming posts!

If you follow me on Instagram then you already know I'm a little obsessed already, even though it's still in the high 80s around here. I also snagged some pumpkins yesterday and ideas are already over flowing! My porch will be fully decorated with tons of fabulous pumpkins! Also, if you haven't heard PSL's are back at Starbucks! Woo-Hoo!! I've been limiting myself because I don't want to burn out on them but I've found some easy at home recipes that I can't wait to try!

I could write on & on about how excited I am but I'll save it for future posts!

Do you ever have those mornings where you get out of bed & you know it's going to be "one of those days"? The days that just start off aggravating, that put you in a sour mood.

I know I've experienced a few of those mornings.

While going through one of those days this summer, I realized that being rude to other people just because I had let things get to me was wrong.

Just because you're in a bad mood doesn't mean you should put other people in one also.

Instead let their happiness and positivity lift you up!

Don't drown your day in a terrible mood.

What I'm Reading {I need help!}

Part of my summer bucket list was to read more. I've started off with Girls in white dresses by Jennifer Close. I'm about half way through and I started thinking "I don't know what to read next?!".

I literally haven't read anything out of high school besides the 50 shades chronicles.

Needless to say, I need help!

It would be greatly appreciated if you left me suggestions of some great reads!
