Do YOU have any questions for the design team of the “Transition” vehicle? Curious to know how Test Pilot, Phil Meteer, felt moments before the first flight? Who had the original idea for the Transition? How long did it take to develop the folding wing technology?

Flying Car at the New York City Auto Show

Today is the first media day for the New York International Auto Show, where the Transition is being debuted. The flying car will be on display for the entire show at the Jacob Javits Center, starting this week through April 15th. Our crew will be covering the show and we’re looking forward to sharing how the press and public respond to the vehicle. Take a look at the FOX broadcast.

This week started off with a media explosion for the team that is creating the Transition “flying car.” Our camera was there to cover the excitement and preparation for the “First Flight of the Prototype” announcement on Good Morning America at 8:45am. George Stephanopoulos sat in the co-pilot’s seat next to Terrafugia’s COO Anna Dietrich as the rest of the anchors and hundreds of on-lookers watched the wings unfold, transforming the vehicle from car to plane. We’ll share and post some video we captured soon, so stay tuned!
