This is pure heaven for Steve Hackett fans and guitar players! Steve Hackett is such an innovative and creative guitar player, it’s even more obvious with these isolated guitar tracks. Truly inspirational!!

Purson is a London based band lead by Rosalie Cunningham I just discovered because they’ll support Astra during their upcoming European tour (no gig in France unfortunately!!). Their first album, The Circle and the Blue Door, is scheduled for release in April 2013. I can’t wait to hear the whole album because I’m already in love with their music! It sounds to me like Curved Air meeting Blood Ceremony at a Black Sabbath party. Great occult psyche rock with a very nice female voice and Mellotron!

Steelbook update : Safe House (UK)

I bought this steelbook in HMV’s Oxford Street store (London) at a good price (Blue cross sale). I really liked the movie, not a masterpiece but a good action movie with the great Denzel Washington. Nice edition with inside artwork, nearly none printed text and debossed title. Beautiful!!

It’s maybe not a Scorsese but this is my favourite mafia/gangster movie! The Irish vibe, the great Ray Stevenson as Danny Greene and the excellent opening scene… I love this movie!!

Steelbook update : Cloverfield Play.com Exclusive (UK)

Is this a horror masterpiece? Of course not! But if I don’t like how it starts, I truly love how it evolves and how it ends!! I admit I didn’t plan to buy the bluray until Play.com released this exclusive steelbook edition which is absolutely stunning! Embossed/debossed (no it’s not Play.com packaging fault ah ah!), beautiful shades of dark green, no useless printed text and an inside artwork. Too bad Play.com won’t release this kind of great steelbooks anymore… This is one of my favourite!

Another sci-fi classic and all time favourite of mine! I’m not really fan of horizontal steelbooks but it’s a very nice one anyway and the movie in itself is just a must-have!

I had to add this classic Sci-Fi masterpiece in my steelbook collection. The movie only is worth it anyway! Classy white edition with a few printed text and an inside artwork. Beautiful!
