Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann has revealed that Annie Wersching is part of the cast of their newest upcoming epic “Last of Us”, currently scheduled for release in late 2012 or early 2013. She will be providing both voice acting and motion capture for the highly-anticipated title.


Annie joins two other voice actors, Troy Baker as Joel and Ashley Johnson as Ellie, both who lavished their new co-star with praise via Twitter. Baker tweeted “Wersching is so good it hurts my face. Amazing job,” while Ashley Johnson said “Wersching is pretty much one of my favorite actors ever.”

The Last of Us is currently under development by the very same creative team Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, a game which has received over 200 Game of the Year awards and sold over five million copies. More details regarding Last of Us will likely be revealed at E3 2012 in early June, but for now you can pre-order the game at Amazon.

Annie Wersching has revealed in a new interview that she will be guest-starring in an upcoming episode of NBC legal drama Harry’s Law.

Harry’s Law, created by David E. Kelley, is currently on hiatus but will return in two weeks on Sundays at 8PM. The episode which Annie is currently filming is scheduled to air in either April or May. We’ll be sure to keep you updated.

You won’t have to wait too long to see Annie on television again though – she’ll be appearing in Lifetime original movie Blue-Eyed Butcher on Saturday March 3rd. Just two days away!

Annie Wersching’s next role will be in the Lifetime Original Movie, Blue-Eyed Butcher (formerly titled Killing Mr. Wright), which is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, March 3rd at 8:00PM.

The movie, which is based on a true story, follows the story of Susan Wright (Sara Paxton), a beautiful young wife and mother of two who violently murders her husband in their Houston home after years of alleged abuse. Also starring is Lisa Edelstein (House) as Texas prosecutor Kelly Siegler.

Wersching will be portraying Jamie Dar-Hall, a single mom and friendly neighbor who frequently chats with Susan and joins her for get-togethers. Although Jamie initially thinks Susan has the perfect marriage, she begins to suspect something is wrong after accidentally discovering bruises on Susan’s body.

Blue-Eyed Butcher is distributed by Sony Pictures Television and was directed by Stephen Kay (Craigslist Killer, Sons of Anarchy). The script was written by Michael J. Murray. Lifetime is currently airing a brief promo for the film. Stay tuned for more information ahead of the March 3rd premiere.

Chip Howard's Sports Talk

Here’s a nice lengthy radio interview that Annie Wersching did today on Chip Howard’s SportsTalk. She talks about 24, the upcoming movie, her recent role on Hawaii Five-0 a few weeks ago, and the television pilot process among other things.

Annie also revealed her next role – she’s working on a television pilot called Intercept over the next few weeks. Although not much more was said about that, it appears to be a one-hour drama for ABC Family about a group of college students who solve crimes.
