Chip Howard's Sports Talk

Here’s a nice lengthy radio interview that Annie Wersching did today on Chip Howard’s SportsTalk. She talks about 24, the upcoming movie, her recent role on Hawaii Five-0 a few weeks ago, and the television pilot process among other things.

Annie also revealed her next role – she’s working on a television pilot called Intercept over the next few weeks. Although not much more was said about that, it appears to be a one-hour drama for ABC Family about a group of college students who solve crimes. That didn’t take long – just two days after learning that Annie would be guest-starring on Hawaii Five-0 comes more details about her character.

Wersching will play Samantha Martel, the sister of a murder victim whose death Five-0 is investigating. Described as agitated, frantic and defensive, Wersching’s character eventually becomes a suspect when McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) & Co. discover that her brother had recently fired her from his high-end restaurant. Is revenge a dish best served cold … and bloody?

Besides her role as FBI Special Agent Renee Walker on the final two seasons of 24, Wersching is known for her work as Amelia Joffe on ABC’s General Hospital. She has also recently appeared on such series as CSI, NCIS, No Ordinary Family and Rizzoli & Isles.

Annie Wersching and Daniel Dae Kim on Hawaii Five-0 set

Annie Wersching will guest-star in the upcoming second season of CBS hit series Hawaii Five-0. The actress tweeted a photo of her and series star Daniel Dae Kim on the set in Hawaii today.

No other details are known about Annie’s character at the moment, but stay tuned for more information in the following weeks. The episode is currently filming and is scheduled to air in late October.
