Finley and her group of talented friends are on the hunt of a lifetime. They've flown across the ocean to America to search out Jasper, a friend of Griffin, who was taken away in handcuffs under the suspicion of murder. None of them really think that Jasper has the capability of murdering anyone. So they set off to find out the truth.

But when they get to America things aren't quite what they seem. Turns out Jasper wasn't taken by the authorities but by a criminal! Reno Dalton is from San Francisco where he met up and worked with Jasper for a while before Jasper realized that Dalton was a seriously bad dude. In hopes of getting away from Dalton and keeping Dalton away from his family and loved ones, when Jasper left his gang he stole and dismantled this tool that Dalton coveted. He also hid the parts all over New York City in order for Dalton to never be able to find them.

When Finley and the crew get to New York, Finley immediately comes up with a plan to get in with Dalton. There are a bunch of underground fights that take place, so what does the girl who is crazy strong do? She joins the fights to win..to get Dalton to notice her and it definitely works. He immediately asks her to join the ranks. And she's able to get in to try to help Jasper get out. But it's not that easy because Dalton has something or rather someone to hold over Jasper, Mei. Mei is Jasper's love from San Fran and Dalton is using her to keep Jasper in line.

I really am loving all these characters. Griffin, Emily, Sam, Finley, and Jasper are the main group and they're all awesome. Emily and Sam kind of have a blossoming relationship and so do Griffin and Finley but those two are so stubborn. I love seeing Griffin and Finley become closer. Honestly, I love all the moments in this book that they all seem to get closer together and the characters become more in depth. I'm really loving these steampunk books, this is the second in this series and it's just as awesome of the first.

Eve is my go to author when I need a funny yet sexy read. I always always enjoy her books. And the FUC series is my favorite. I mean look at the series name, its just funny. F-Furry U-United C- Coalition is a government agency with supernatural creatures dealing with supernatural things. Each book brings in a new couple and in this book we have Nolan a doctor,a lion shifter who is sexy and maybe naps too much, he also has an over bearing mother, oh and waayy to many hair products. We also have Clarice a falcon shifter a strong willed, takes no crap kinda girl. They seem like complete opposites but even they can't deny their sexual chemistry for long.

Nolan is pretty spoiled. He really does take too long on his hair but he is a caring doctor so it kinda makes up for his pretty boy issues. I guess its not his fault about being spoiled. His mother wants to take care of her only son and populate The Pride. I really loved his mom. Yes she is over bearing and she sends tigers to kidnap her son so they can make some babies but she is funny. And her and Clarice are great together. The puns never stop with those too. At first I wasn't sure I was going to like Clarice. She was to rough around the edges. But of coarse as she softened so did I.

Clarice is there from ASS agency to help the FUC agency track down these mutant shifters that are out of control. With Nolan being a target, Clarice has to watch his back all the time. Which is good for us because Nolan puts on the charm and of coarse Clarice couldn't resist.I loved the sexual tension and I loved it more when they both succumbed to their passion.

Lion and The Falcon was a great addition to the FUC series. Its sexy and funny and I can't wait for more. I loved seeing some of our old couples. If you are looking for something to make you laugh and also turn up the heat then please check out this series!

My name is Kendall F. Grey. The F stands for a word I'm not allowed to say in polite company. ;-) I write urban fantasy romance (JUST BREATHE Trilogy) and contemporary humorous erotica (HARD ROCK HARLOTS Series). I love whales, Godiva truffles, and vodka. Not necessarily in that order.

Can you tell us a little about the world you've created?

My JUST BREATHE world is totally different from most urban fantasy settings. There are actually two worlds - Realis (the real, "awake" world) and the Dreaming (the subconscious world we visit when we sleep). You can find Elementals--Erthe, Aer, Fyre, and Wæter--in both places, along with human-protecting Sentinels who ensure that human Wyldlings are kept safe from hungry Elementals who feed off them. Even though the Dreaming doesn't seem real, it is. People can be hurt or even killed there. The Sentinels--including hottie Aussie rock star hero Gavin Cassidy--take their jobs very seriously. Their task is to maintain Balance among the Elements. If the Elements fall out of whack, bad things can happen in both worlds. The JUST BREATHE Trilogy has steamy romance, politics, intrigue, mythology, and whales. Yes, whales. :-)

What are you most excited about at AADSAV?

Meeting new people. I love talking to my readers more than anything. It's great to put names to faces, share stories, and get to know the people who support me.

Any authors you are excited to meet?

I don't read, so I'm not much of a fangirl, but I'm looking forward to hanging out with writer friends Lynn Rush, Hildie McQueen, and Ciara Knight. There are also a bunch of bloggers going whom I want to meet--AAD featured blogger Annie Slasher from Booked and Loaded is on my list. And now, so are you! :-)

Tell us about your latest release?

I put out a contemporary erotica book in April called STRINGS. It's nothing like my urban fantasy. I don't recommend anyone with morals read it. This book is pure, pornographic trash. The warning label says it all, though some readers don't take it seriously. STRINGS is absolutely positively NOT for people who get the slightest bit squicked out by vulgarity, raunchy/VERY explicit sex, or crude humor. Weaker-stomached readers need barf bags; pervert readers jump their significant others or BOBs mid-read. My advice? Don't read it. You could catch an STD from just downloading the hideous thing.

Any restaurants in Savannah you plan on hitting up? (I would love to know, I want some ideas for myself)

I haven't been to Savannah since I was about twelve, so I don't have a clue. If you hear of any good vegetarian places, let me know!

Are planning on dressing up for any of the balls?

YES! I'm co-hosting the Elemental Masque and will attend as a Fyre Elemental from my JUST BREATHE series. These guys are HOT in more ways than one! And who doesn't like red? ;-)

Any sites you plan on seeing while in Savannah?

I have a feeling most of my time will be spent at the hotel with a Grey Goose martini in hand. HA! Besides, it's too hot to go outside in Savannah during the summer. Might as well enjoy the air conditioning and great company indoors. ;-)

I'm starting this out by saying that I really just want to discuss how much I love Lucas and Paige. If I thought it was cool I would probably talk about that and nothing else. I won't though. And I know this book is old from this series but the series is going strong. I really love Paige and Lucas. I know I said that in their last book but if I had a choice I would read a million books with them in it.

In this book Lucas, Paige and Savannah have moved to Oregon and they're working on settling in. Paige is really focused on starting a new coven, Savannah is adjusting to life, and Lucas is still with them and he's working on his cases. Lucas and his father have a rocky relationship, as Lucas is working against the Cabals and his father is the head of one.. they definitely butt heads. But in this book Lucas and his dad kind of have to work in sync to help solve a case. Someone is murdering Cabal employee's children. At first Paige and Lucas are pretty resistant to helping them figure out what's going on and then a major shift happens which draws them in. And once they get in, things get crazy. There were quite a few things that happened in this book that had me freaking the freak out. Especially one thing in particular, I was in the process of having a heart attack it was that intense.

I feel like we get more connected with Paige and Lucas in this book. We kind of get a good idea where they're heading together. I know that Lucas' dad is a "bad" guy but I really ended up liking him. He's sly and sneaky and crazy smart. Plus he really loves Lucas and although he doesn't have the best methods all the time, he seems like a good guy in the end. We really get a good look at Lucas' brothers as well and those guys are mainly bad news. Elena and her crew make an appearance in this book as well and it's always fun seeing them. There are a few new characters as well that are equally as great.

I'm enjoying this series so much. Every book that I've read so far I've loved just as much as the previous book. I can't wait to get even further into this series and see where everyone else goes. This is easily becoming one of my favorites series. Even though I got to these late, it's definitely better than never. If you haven't read this series yet, please do! And if you have, who was your favorite character?

Review: Dead Silence by Kimberly Derting

Dead Silence was another one sit read. Its a great addition to the YA books. Its unique and a little darker. We actually get inside the killers head and Violets ability is just not one we seen before. I love this series. It was The Body Finder book 1's cover that drew me in and I have loved all the books since that.

Again I was afraid they where going to do a love triangle. Sometimes Violet would get upset over things Rafe did and I was like NOOOO! I just didn't want to see that. I think Violet and Jay are perfect together and I would hate to see the plot taken away just to throw in some relationship drama. But luckily it just wasn't done.

The killer this time was a whole bag of creepy. I mean he was a young murdering man who made his little dope fiends call him father. He was just a sick twisted man. But I still found it interesting when we would get into his head.

Violet also discovers her grandmothers journals and it really sheds some light on her. It was nice for her to get to see someone else that shares what she can do. Still though after Violet finds a picture in it makes her question her little group even more.

Violets life has never been easy. She always knew she could sense dead people. She was never able to trust many people. Her new group on specials has its own hidden agendas and there is just so much. But I really feel like in this book she was able to come to terms with things and accept it all. She has finally found a balance and a reason to accept who she is and what she can do. I heard this is the last book and if that is true I am okay. Although more would be nice.

I was so in love with the first book Sweet Evil that I was actually scared this book couldn't live up to my expectations. But man I had nothing to worry about. Sweet Peril was another 5 star'er!

Anna is still mourning over Kaidan leaving, but hell who wouldn't? I am glad though she just didn't give up because a book without Kaidan in it, is not something I want to read. I was a little nervous we where going to get the typical YA love triangle but again I had nothing to worry about. A blast from the past visits Anna and literally changes everything. She is now on a mission that can affect all the nephs life. But if she is caught it could cost her and anyone helping her their life.

This is a perfect addition to the Sweet series. There was a little something for everyone. A great forbidden romance, some YA rated steamy scenes and a hero to drool over! Sweet Peril is a definite must read. We are introduced to some new characters and we see the characters that we love grow. Its not going to be an easy road especially since Anna has to keep her virginity and well she has Kaidan as a boyfriend. I have no idea how she is going to make it! This is probably going down in my favorite YA series of the year. I was in a reading slump and I gobbled this book up in a day.

This book has been on my TBR list forever. I finally finished it and I have to say that I really enjoyed the book. I haven't read too many steampunk type books but this was pretty interesting.

Finley is a lower middle class girl in the late 1800's in London. She's just trying to make a living but there is something about her that doesn't make keeping a job that easy. Finley is... different. She's freakishly strong, she has a "dark" side that seems to take over in high stress situations, she heals crazy fast. These special traits seem to get her in a lot of trouble. One time this darkness in Finley comes out and turns everything around for her and not necessarily in a good way. She finds out a lot about herself that she wasn't expecting. She ends up in cahoots with a group of extraordinary people, a duke, a genius, a cowboy, and a brute.

There are a lot of interesting things in this book. I really enjoyed the technology parts and seeing the meshing of the Victorian era with all of the advances in technology as well. I loved that Emily was the one coming up with all these brilliant ideas and new inventions. And there are some really cool ideas in this book. I love the "little beasties". Griffin is our young duke and he has some unique talents of his own. He's also super smart and brave. His parents were killed when he was young and he's been on his own with his aunt since then. Griffin also kinda like Finley, she likes him too.

Let me talk about Jack Dandy. OH LORD. Jack Dandy is cockney bloke from "the wrong side of the tracks". He's considered someone who is a scoundrel and who deals in unsavory business. We don't really know too much about Jack besides what he wants us to know. Finley meets him by chance and MAN.. I just always love the guy that doesn't get picked. I want Jack Dandy to myself. I need him in my life. I want Finley and Jack to get together. I like Griffin but he doesn't stir me like Jack does. I have such a thing for rogues.

I really loved this book and it leaves with a major, major cliff hanger. I really just to know what happens next. I can't wait to get further along in this series and see what this group comes up with next. If you haven't read this yet you're definitely going to want to pick it up.

This was like my 3rd time seeing her at the con. And I was like eventually you are going to get all like Oh my God its Amber, I love her. So she was like Amber you complete me and drew a fancy air heart. Then because I forgot my copy of Moonglow she gave me one and singed it.

This is another true story, I swear it!

Jennifer Estep:

I saw her like everyday. The first time I saw her I was with Carmel and Jennifer. I told Jennifer to just yell Owen she would understand. But she did come over and sit by us and I was star-struck. Then the next day we all had coffee together. It was so much fun. I am so glad Jen was able to put into words what I would love to say about Owen. I just was like what she said. lol

Ilona and Gordon Andrews:

My super stalking senses came out with these two. I mean I knew I loved them before this but as soon as they started talking I was in love. I freaking LOVE LOVE LOVE them! Words cannot describe this. Some say my love is creepy but I think with a little effort they one day will return it. I mean when I saw them at the signing Ilona was like I remember you from the panel. So yeah its already started. And yes maybe I ran into them 3 different times in the signing and maybe I watched them from the bar when they walked past and maybe when Jen told me (while I was in the bathroom) they where out in the hall getting interviewed I ran out there just to watch them. And there is that Amber Sandwich thing too. But its not creepy I swear it!

Its weird it was the first time we met because it was just so easy talking to her. Her eh's where so much fun too. She is the nicest person ever. Well she is from Canada so its in her blood but still I hope we get to hang out again. And when I was sitting in the middle of the room freaking out over all the stuff I had she made some jokes so I wouldn't cry. She even walked me down to the mail room.

Red Hot Books:

She is just so book smart. Anytime she would go on a rant I was just like I love you. If I could put all my thoughts as organized like that I would love it. She says the things I think but way more intelligent. I was happy to get to sit and talk to her while she was drunk, I didn't even get mad that she got drunk with my new bff's. lol I just told her she was lucky I didn't know where they where. Plus she is just so nice and awesome. Like when Jennifer let me wear a boa on my head to make me look like an ass, Jen was like no you look like a fool. lol I could just sit there and listen to her book rants all day. I hope she goes to RT Nola or at least comes around so I can see her again.

Please Introduce yourself to our readers?

I’ve been writing erotic romance for six years. Before writing the super hot stuff, I wrote sweet traditional romances and YA. I love pushing my characters to the emotional edge and then shoving them over. It doesn’t sound very nice, but they thank me later. In my “other life” I’m a professor. I teach composition. Many people ask if my faculty colleagues know about my books. Some do, some don’t. I don’t keep it a secret and I’m happy to say those who do know are supportive.

What are you most excited about at AADSAV?

I’ve never attended AAD, but I’ve heard its awesome. I love hanging out with readers and other writers. And, I’ve never been to Savannah, so I’m looking forward to checking the city out.

I’m going to be on a panel focused on erotic horror. I can’t wait! My latest release with Ellora’s Cave is part of Shivers, which is EC’s erotic horror line. My story, Servicing the Undead, is about a tribe of zombies who survive by having sex.

Tell us about your latest release?

My latest release is a revisited class by DH Lawrence. Total-E-Bound has a new series of revisited classics, and I love them. I selected one of DH Lawrence’s novellas. It was already hot, my task was to make it steamier.

Here’s a bit about it:

A young man returns from war to find two women living on the isolated farm he’d called ho me. Needing to dominate, he sets out to put his life in order.

When it comes to restaurants, I don’t usually plan ahead. I wait and see what mood I’m in. Dress up? Casual? Quiet? Not quiet? If there are several in walking distance I like to check out the menus then pick one.

Are planning on dressing up for any of the balls?

Yes! I wish I had some steampunk clothes, but I don’t. Maybe I need to do some shopping. (!) The Riverboat Dinner sounds really fun.

Any sites you plan on seeing while in Savannah?

Fishing! I want to go fishing. I don’t know where yet, or how, I just know that’s what I want to do.

I also like historical bus tours. You know, when someone else plans things and does all the driving. It’s like being a kid again, you don’t know where you’re going or how you got there. Those tours are a great way to see several spots in a short amount of time.

I thought the first part of this book was slow. I wasn't expecting to love it. I was wrong. I absolutely loved this book. I honestly liked it better than I liked the first book. I laughed, I cried, and there were plenty moments that I was holding my breath. I'm not exaggerating either. Every now and then you need a book that just speaks to your core and that was this book for me.

We all remember Will and Lena from the first book in this series with Blade and Honoria. Lena is Honoria's younger sister and Will is Blade's right hand man..or Beast. We know that in the last book Lena and Will had a disastrous flirtatious moment. This book picks up a few years after that. The Echelon blue bloods still rule everything they can. But the tides are changing. Someone blew up a bleeding factory and the blame is being placed at everyone's door. Humanists are plotting something and trying to convince Lena to be involved. Lena is the perfect spy according to them, since she left Whitechapel she's been living on the edge of Echelon society. And she has ties that lead straight back to her brother and sister living in the rookery.

Will is living on his own and doing his best to survive. However, fighting his natural instincts and being trapped in Whitechapel are two very conflicting feelings. It seems like he's on the cusp of something and he's just not sure what. The prince consort invites Blade to a ball and because of curiosity Blade decides to go and of course Will goes with him. Incredibly the prince wants to ask Will to help him with a treaty they're working on with the Scandinavian clans and werewulven. Will says no up until the moment when the prince offers him something that he can't refuse.

Although Lena and Will do their best to keep away from each other, they are pushed together at every point in this book. Will is attracted to Lena but he feels like she's just playing games with him, plus he's afraid of his beastly nature. Lena is attracted to Will but thinks that he doesn't care about her at all and doesn't want to be rejected by him. But the force between them can't be denied..

There are so many great things that happen in this book. Since it doesn't come out until tomorrow, I don't want to give anything essential away. But I was literally crying in this book. There were so many monumental things that happened. Bec McMaster has a way of pulling you deep into these characters lives and you feel invested. This book was absolutely amazing and this far, my favorite in this series. I'm placing links at the bottom of this, please, please read this series. It's amazing.

If you're looking for a hot, sexy book to read that has a twist of a female dominating a male, this book is for you.

Lyssa is a vampire that is the leader of her particular region of the US. The way the vampire territories are broken up in this book honestly reminds me of the Sookie Stackhouse books. Lyssa is the ruler of her area, who up until semi-recently was married to another vampire that was murdered. There are a lot of vampire politics and a lot of power play scenarios in this book. Which Lyssa is deeply involved in. She's in the market for a new human servant, which for different vampires mean different things. Luckily for her, her previous servant specifically handpicked her new one.. Jacob.

Jacob is an alpha male who caught one glimpse of Lyssa and knew that they belonged together. But coming under her tutelage wasn't the easiest thing for him to do in a lot of aspects. Lyssa is old and set in her ways and very determined for Jacob to succumb to her in every way. In the same aspect Jacob is convinced that she is going to succumb to him..at least in the bedroom. There is some definite butting of heads in this book between these two. Lyssa has her reasons for the things she does and she's not willing to open up to Jacob.

This book is HOT. There is all kinds of sexy business going on here. Lyssa is the one who is doing the dominating though which is a nice twist from the normal guy dominating woman type deal. There are also underlying currents in this book that aren't quickly revealed and I liked the build up to that as well. Definitely check this out if you haven't yet. The book is hot, the characters are hot, the sexy times are hot. You have the triple threat here.

This is the 14th book in the Morganville Vampire series and it is still so freaking awesome! I mean seriously 14 amazing books!! This never happens. And I am really not ready for these books to end. They are seriously my favorite YA series ever. What's even better its like the only YA series with no love triangles. You have to love that.

If you haven't read this series then this review will make no sense to you. So you should just go read the first book now.

Claire has actually left Morganville. She left her friends and her boyfriend. She is finally at MIT. But things are never easy for Claire and no one really ever leaves Morganville. Her and Shane being separated was tough on me. I understood where she was coming from but I needed them together. Luckily Shane knows what I want and he made things happen. But Shane and Claire realize that vampires aren't the only bad guys out there. Humans can be just as bad.

Even though we are only in Morganville for a brief period of time, Claire's life in Boston is not a normal college life. Her Morganville life follows her. And so do a lot of vampires like Myrin, Oliver and Michael and of coarse Eve and Shane. They are in a mess and it seems its all from one of Claires experiments. After they all barely escape with their lives it was a relief to go back to Morganville. But man when I thought the last book left us on a cliffhanger this one has it beat! I need to know what is going to happen but at the same time I don't want to because its the last book. Its so confusing.

Fall of Night was just amazing! I loved it. Shane and Claire are meant to be together. I love them both so much. They are the perfect for each other and I love how strong they make one another. I couldn't bare to have anything ever happen to them. Shane has really learned his lesson and I don't see there being any doubt there again. I think they are stronger then ever now. I could gush all day about these two. But I won't.

Go read this series now! Seriously its one of the best and it never ever disappoints. I can't even imagine a world where there isn't going to be a new Morganville book coming out. Its going to be so tough. But man I have loved this ride. I can't wait to see how Rachel Caine ends this. Even if it will suck to have it end.

The last book in this series was really slow and kind of boring for me so I wasn't really expecting a lot from this installment in the life of Merry. I was more than pleasantly surprised though when I actually started reading this book because it was great. I am actually considering moving right into the next book in this series, it's left me thirsty for more.

Merry is still on the mission to get pregnant so that she can rule over the Unseelie court instead of her cousin, Cel. So far, no good though..not for lack of trying though. In this book Merry truly grows and becomes more of everything. In all truthfulness, she becomes more than anything could have ever imagined and it has some people super wigged out. Because although Merry is part mortal, the things that she is capable of are from before anything. Not too mention things are progressing in faerie, the queen is starting to realize things that she has turned a blind eye to before. As well as there being some formal opposition to Merry being a heir. Which they knew before but now they're challenging her face to face.

There is still the focus on Meredith getting pregnant but it definitely isn't the main story in this book. Which I really liked because it was really boring me in the last book. Also, the overall story in this book is just progressing right along. I was really into where this story was going and what was going to happen next. Not too mention that a lot of things that happened in this book were just legitimately surprising and so fluid with the story.

I honestly can't wait to read the next book in this series. I hope that it's as good as this one or better. If there could be that continuity in the books I think it could become one of my favorite series.

Hot Blooded was a great addition to the Jessica McClain series. It totally didn't suffer that second book syndrome. It was an intense ride. It kinda reminded me of the end of Harry Potter and The Sorcerer Stone when they have to go through all these battles right after another to get to the sorcerer stone except this book we where fighting to get Jessica's mate and it was a lot more adult.

Jessica is still her kick ass self. She definitely has a lot of crazy super powers that just keep popping up. And she is determined to take on a Goddess to save her mate. Even if this goddess is indestructible. I mean she can grow her head back after it being chopped off, that is some serious shit.

I loved Tyler and Danny in this book and I am so glad to have had them be major characters in this book. And I must say my brief glimpse of James set my heart a-flutter! lol I know I know he is not her mate they just had wild hot passionate sex once, but I still love him. So bam! I am talking about him.

Moving back to the story. So Amanda sure jams this book with so many paranormals, like vamps, weres, goddess, demons, witches and imps and more. I love the world she has set up. Its a sure hit for anyone who loves Urban Fantasy reads. Hot Blooded was full of action but it did lack in the sexin department but I guess that has to do with her mate being gone most of the time. I must say I wasn't in love with Rourke in the beginning (my James crush is too blame) but now I think I am on board. Who doesn't love a bad ass with a bunch of tattoos, I just can't wait to get him naked!

Jessica McClain series is a great addition to the Urban Fantasy genre. I am loving it. If you haven't started this series yet I seriously recommend that you do!

We’ll both be there in all of our book nerd glory so we decided to do a bloggy event to get psyched up even more for the convention!. Its a month long event in April that showcases some Paranormal Authors that are going to be going to The RT Convention.

Hi! My name is Jeri Smith-Ready, author of several paranormal novels for teens and adults, including last year’s SHINE (SHADE trilogy #3) and LUST FOR LIFE (WVMP RADIO #4, also the final book in the series).

Tell us a little about your books?

In my YA trilogy, SHADE, the heroine Aura and everyone born after her can see and talk to ghosts, but no one else can. Aura wonders if her birth caused the Shift (the mysterious event that made ghosts visible) and if it has anything to do with the father she’s never met. The trilogy centers around her search for answers, which takes her to Ireland and beyond. There’s a lot of romantic drama, too, as Aura tries to get over her boyfriend Logan’s death and ghosthood (hey, he’s still around, so no out-of-sight-out-of-mind, right?), possibly with the help of Zachary, a Scottish exchange student with infinite patience and infinite secrets.

My adult paranormal series, WVMP RADIO, is about a former con artist and a radio station of vampire DJs, each of them stuck psychologically in the time they were created. It's a little lighter than the SHADE trilogy but with lots of romance and music. Because without romance and music, why would I ever want to write a book? ;)

Is this your first RT? If you've been to one before, any tips for us newbies?

I’ve been every year since 2007 in Houston—I never miss it! My advice for newbies is not to be overwhelmed at the cornucopia of awesomeness you see when you look at the schedule. You can’t possibly do everything without exhausting yourself. Make sure you get some down time.

Also, RT folks are the friendliest people on earth. I’m pretty shy (though you’d never guess it from the way I can’t shut up sometimes), but at RT I’ve never felt awkward because I always know that I have something in common with that total stranger standing next to me—a love of books!

Where can we find you at RT? Are you on any panels, going to any parties, etc.?

Wednesday 5-6pm I'm on a panel called "Blood Light," about humor in vampire novels. It's moderated by Caridad Pineiro and also features C.T. Adams (aka Cat Adams), Jeaniene Frost, Susan and Clay Griffith, Molly Harper, and Elisabeth Staab. Should be tons of fun!

Thursday 10-11am I'm on a YA panel called "Professional Liar," where audience members ask us questions then guess whether we're telling the truth. It's moderated by one of my favorite authors (and people!), Sarah Rees Brennan, so I'm sure there'll be laughs a plenty! Also, I hear there'll be prizes. You do NOT want to miss this one. (Hint: I'm a terrible liar, so when in doubt, guess that I'm telling the truth.) Other YA authors on the panel are Rachel Caine, Rosemary Clement-Moore, Leanna Renee Hieber, Colleen Houck, and Rachel Vincent.

Saturday is Teen Day—yay! I’ll be signing my YA books in YA Alley, then doing the 5-6pm speed reading (I might be persuaded to read a scene from "Shattered," an upcoming SHADE tie-in novella from Zachary's point of view), as well as attending the big Teen Day party.

You can probably also find me in the gym every other morning, because I'm training for my very first 5K on Memorial Day!

Is your RT experience all planned out or are you more of a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants type of person?

I'm definitely on the spontaneous side. I don't like to get my heart set on going to any particular panel, because it's very likely that on the way there, I'll run into an old friend (or a new friend!) and we'll spend the hour chatting over coffee or in the bar.

I do, however, plan my wardrobe ahead of time, writing down which outfits I'm wearing for each event each day. Otherwise I waste valuable time staring into the closet trying to decide what to wear--or worse, overpacking. I mean, how many black cardigans do I need for one convention? (Answer: ALL the black cardigans!)

Tell us a little about your books?
CONJURE features three teens who discover a hidden 18^th-century pirate treasure, unleash a wicked flesh eating curse, and must use Gullah hoodoo magic to break the hex before it’s too late. It’s fast paced with lots of action but it’s also got a sweet romance between the heroine, Emma Guthrie and hero, Cooper Beaumont who is the hottest, most perfect guy in the universe.

Is this your first RT convention?
No, it’s my second. I went last year and had The. Best. Time. I had sold my series but it hadn’t been released yet so I thought it would be good to go to the conference to get an idea of how it was structured/what it is like so I’d know what to expect once my book was out. It was a smart decision because now I’ve got a handle on how Teen Day works, what the massive book signing would be like, and how important it is to stop by the bars/restaurants and meet people. And the parties. Oh, the parties! RT is one giant networking fest. If I hadn’t meet so many people last year, I think I would have been totally intimidated this year.

What are you most looking forward to at RT?
Meeting readers! RT has a lot of opportunities to interact with readers and book bloggers, not only in the bar and restaurants, but also in fun reader-oriented activities. I’ll be participating in the Candy and Spoons! event in which Entangled authors, editors and staff will not only give out gobs of candy—who doesn’t love that?—but also play this crazy fun game called Spoons that people literally throw themselves into. And we’ll give away great books and other prizes. The Candy and Spoons! event is Friday, May 3^rd at 7:30 pm in the New York B room on the Ballroom Level. Last year the line was way out the door and down the hall so come early to get a seat. It’s a total blast.

I’m also super excited about participating in the Teen Day Author Speed-Reading event on Saturday, May 4^th at 5:00 in the Chouteau A&B room on the Mezzanine Level. A whole bunch of YA authors will be there, greeting readers and reading short excerpts of their books. It gives us a chance to sit and chat.

But honestly, I also love to meet and hang out in the bar, lounge, and restaurant. So if you see me, please don’t be afraid to come up and introduce yourself!

If we seen you at the bar what drink would be in your hand?
It’ll be a diet soda or an unsweetened ice tea. I wish I could drink alcohol but I’ve got a ridiculous and very boring alcohol intolerance that causes me to have horrendous headaches after only the smallest bit. Sad face for me. But I happily watch other people drink and live vicariously through them.

Do you have any tips for convention newbies?
Bring a cardigan. No. Bring two. Better yet, bring three. The air conditioning is always on full blast. Also, don’t expect to get much sleep. RT = LOTS of late nights.

Who are you bunking with?
I’m rooming with my bestest bestie, Laura Kaye. She is not only my greatest friend in the world, but she’s also an awesome roommate who doesn’t snore.

What inspired you to write in the paranormal genre?
I love the infinite possibilities of paranormal. Anything can happen as long as you build the world and stick to your rules. I also love the escapism. And who doesn’t love battling demon dogs, wicked curses, and raising the dead? Not this girl.

Tell us about your newest book?
I just finished ALLURE, the second book in The Hoodoo Apprentice Series. It is darker and twistier than CONJURE and takes the series deeper into Gullah mythology and hoodoo magic. It comes out in October 2013 and I can’t wait for readers to read it!

Authors your most excited about meeting?
Oh my gosh, there are so many. And there are a ton of authors I can’t wait to get to know better. I met Alyson Noel last year and totally embarrassed myself with my extreme fan-girling. If I get the chance to meet her again this year, I’ll try not to gush. Who am I kidding? I’ll probably end up being a super dork!

What authors do you hope have tables beside you at the Giant Book Fair?
The best part about RT for YA writers is that they put us all in one area they call Teen Alley. So we’re all together which makes it easier to YA readers to find us. Holy crap. I just realized something: If they arrange us alphabetically, I *might* end up next to Allyson Noel!!! AAAHH!!!! *Flailing around, flapping arms like a crazed chicken!* Note to self: Do. Not. Dork out!

I'm still completely on Team EveryoneButFaythe. I was really hoping with reading this next book she would redeem herself to me but unfortunately that hasn't happened yet. I'm going to talk about the whole Faythe/Marc/Jace thing a lot, so be prepared.

Faythe still hasn't told Marc what happened with her and Jace and doesn't throughout the entire book. In fact someone else guesses and tells him. So Faythe being a complete coward still doesn't step up to the plate and keeps blocking questions under the guise of "this is not the time". Marc is noticing that Jace is acting differently and not just different because Ethan died, but he's acting differently towards Faythe. And Marc brings it up several different times and Faythe just brushes him off every time. Jace is also asking Faythe when she's going to fess up to Marc and she just blows him off too. She's great at deflecting that's for sure. So what happens at the end of the book? Marc tells her she has too choose. That's it! He's still putting up with her crap! If I was him, I'd be like peace the eff out! I was shocked, I could not believe that he was still willing to be with her even after all the crap she's done.

Anyhow, that's not the only thing going on obviously. The pack is wanting to go after Malone for justice for Ethan's death. But they are wary to make a move because of the issues with the Council being divided. Not only are they trying to figure out when and what kind of move they are going to make against Malone, there are a bunch of thunderbirds attacking the pack for no apparent reason. And I have to admit even though Faythe is a fool when it comes to her interpersonal relationships, she's a damn good enforcer. It seems like when her dad is ready to step down she'd be a really great alpha.

Now the last book in this series is next. I really need a solid ending here. I really need to see Faythe turn this situation around. If you guys don't hear from me within a few weeks, you'll know that Faythe has completely killed my soul.

Isn't it great when books get you so involved that you feel like you're emotionally invested? It's amazing. ;)

I have three new releases in 2013. On May 28, South of Surrender, the third book in my Hearts of the Anemoi series releases. On August 1, Taken by the Vampire King, the third book in my Vampire Warrior Kings series releases. And on November 26, Hard As It Gets, the debut novel in my Hard Ink series releases. It’s gonna be a fun year!

Is this your first RT convention?
No! Last year was my first and it was a blast!

What are you most looking forward to at RT?
I’m looking forward to meeting readers and catching up with author friends! I’m on four game panels and those are always a blast!

Since this event is for paranormal authors, can you tell us more about the paranormal in your book?
The Hearts of the Anemoi series is based on the mythology of the Anemoi, wind gods the Greeks associated with the weather and seasons. As Greek gods, my heroes have the ability to appear in human, elemental, and animal forms, can affect the weather by will or by their emotions, have the ability to be invisible, and have healing abilities, too.

What's your favorite paranormal and why?
Vampires are my all-time favorite paranormal creature. They’re sexy, mysterious, immortal, animalistic, powerful, tortured, sexy…

Tell us a little about your newest book?

What inspired you to write in the paranormal genre?
My family totally believed in the paranormal when I was growing up. My own family lure is filled with ghost stories, evil-eyed curses, and the like. So I was fascinated by all things supernatural as a kid and grew up reading every paranormal story I could. It was only natural that I’d write paranormal stories, too.

Who are you bunking with?
I’m rooming with YA paranormal author Lea Nolan, who is my best friend and daily writing partner at Panera Bread!

Why do you attend conventions?
Because they’re a great way to meet readers, network with other folks in publishing, and catch-up with my author friends! I look forward to them!

Is your RT experience all planned out or are you more of a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants type person?
It’s very planned out this year! I’m on a ton of panels which is awesome because it’ll give me lots of opportunities to meet readers!

- This is my 3rd RT and I can't wait! I'll be participating in Name that Vampire, the Vampire Social, the Chocolate and Spoons party as well as a couple of panels so it'll be crazy busy and super fun!

What are you most looking forward to at RT?
- Meeting readers is by FAR the best part of RT for me. Meeting people who claim one of my characters for their Book Boyfriend, or one of my Street Teamers, or a reader who I know from facebook, and the list goes on. RT makes connecting writers and readers SUPER fun!

If you've been to one before any tips for us newbies?
- Go easy on the "schedule". My first RT I had all day every day scheduled, and by the second day I realized I hadn't allowed any time for meeting up with people and chatting! *pout* So pick the panels/games/parties that are "must attend" and then leave some blank times for you to mingle. :)

What inspired you to write in the paranormal genre?
- I actually got my publishing start by selling horror short stories. I love vampires and shifters, and the Night Series allowed me to combine the two. WIN! :)

Why do you attend conventions?
- I enjoy networking and meeting people, so conventions make it easier to meet up!

First, thanks so much for having me! Let’s see: I write the Chronicles of Yavn vampire romance series for Sourcebooks. I love coffee, music, and tattooed rock stars. I collect purple office supplies, and enjoy documentaries and irreverent humor.

Tell us a little about your books?
I write about sexy vampires, sinister wizards, and the hard-won happily ever after. My heroes are alpha on the outside, tortured and emotional on the inside, and they come equipped with superpowers and enough preternatural stamina to get any job done. ;-)

If you've been to one before any tips for us newbies?
Buddy system! As an author OR as a reader it helps to attend with someone who has your back and with whom you can strategize. Sometimes you may want to go to two panels at the same time and you may want to split up and take notes. If your goal is to load up on swag and collect books, you’ll need help carrying everything. I’ve seen people with cuh-razy stacks of books at the book signings! If you didn’t bring a buddy, ship stuff home. They usually have fed-ex or something on site. Also, bring cough drops, vitamin C, and herbal tea, just in case. Lotsa germs, lotsa hugging and talking, and I’ve seen more people leave cons with a sore throat than not. Never hurts to be prepared. Oh! If you plan to enter to win gift baskets, some people pre-print sticky labels with their name and contact info. It’s also a nice thing to tell the author if they can add you to their mailing list when you enter for a gift basket.

Where can we find you at RT? Are you on any panels going to any parties etc.
In addition to both the E-book and the giant book fair (and most of the rest of the time, the bar, lol) I am SO psyched about the panels/events I’m lucky enough to participate in this year!

Tuesday night (4/30) at 8:30 pm we’re kicking things off with Cinema Craptastique which will be a hilarious “bad movie tweet” (very Mystery Science Theater 3000 for those who remember that show) viewing of The Covenant, hosted by Damon Suede, Laura Kaye, Laurie London, CJ Ellison, Heidi Cullinan, and myself. There will be goodie bags and we’re encouraging pajama party costumes so we’ll give out some prizes for things like “best slippers,” too! I’ll be there in my “killer” bunny slippers!
Wednesday (5/1) at noon I’m part of the Vampires to Die For! game show along with Laura Kaye, Laurie London, Lisa Kessler, Theresa Meyers, Caridad Pineiro, and Joyee Flynn. We read snippets from a variety of vampire fiction and the audience has to test their vampire knowledge. If they’re right, they’re eligible for a prize. Wrong? They get a vampire bite tattoo! There will be goodie bags for the first 30 folks in line and some special “big” prizes, too! Last year we had a standing room only crowd and it was a total blast. People were guessing wrong just to get a vampire bite!
Wednesday (5/1) at five pm I’ll also be on the VAMPIRE: Blood Light panel talking about humor in vampire fiction with Jeaniene Frost, Susan and Clay Griffith, Molly Harper, and Jeri Smith-Ready
Thursday (5/2) at 10 am I may also be sitting in on the Vampires We Love to Hate panel with Caridad Pineiro, Jeanne C Stein, and Jaye Wells

So lots of great paranormal events. Mostly vampires, which are still my favorite paranormal creature, so I can’t wait. :)

Authors your most excited about meeting?
Wow, almost too many to mention. I am excited to meet fellow Sourcebooks authors Sara Humphreys and Jade Lee. I’m looking forward to seeing Elisabeth Naughton again who was lovely at the Olde City con this past February, and I’m also looking forward to seeing Mary Calmes and Amy Lane whom I consider to be good friends and I can’t wait to hear about what they’re working on because I love their books as well. Laura Kaye, Laurie London, and Caridad Pineiro are always fantastic. I’ve done a lot of panels with all those ladies and they’re always a delight. I’m unclear about whether or not Lori Wilde is going to be there but I hope so because she’s an amazing author and I was lucky enough to take a class from her recently, she’s a wonderful mentor as well. It’d be great to say thank you.

Tell us a little about your newest book?

Who are you bunking with?
I’m bunking with my favorite con buddy, Damon Suede, who has fresh and original new paranormal m/m novella called Horn Gate releasing day after RT from Dreamspinner Press. He’s a wonderful author and it’s great attending RT or any con with him.

Why do you attend conventions?
Most of all I love connecting with readers and cons are the best way to do that face to face. RT is fantastic because there are so many readers in one place at one time. It’s also the only real chance I get to see other author friends like Mary Calmes and Amy Lane who are scattered around the country, to see my editor in person, and to learn from other industry professionals. Some of the best parts of a con for me are what happens between the official events, when people meet up to chat in the hotel hallways in the bar.

Hi, everyone! I'm Chloe Neill, the author of the urban fantasy Chicagoland Vampires novels and the YA Dark Elite novels. My eighth Chicagoland Vampires novel, BITING BAD, will be coming out in August.

Is this your first RT convention?
This is my second RT convention--my sophomore year, I guess. I also attended last year, and had an absolute blast!

What are you most looking forward to at RT?
I have a full-time day job, and I don't live near many romance or urban fantasy authors (at least as far as I'm aware). So RT is really a unique opportunity for me to commiserate with other writers, vent, and feel like a "normal" writer.

If you've been to one before any tips for us newbies?
Ha! Lots of tips! Bring comfortable shoes and extra tote bag to carry around your conference goodies. And in that tote,consider also having: a bottle of water water; a granola bar or other snack; a pen and notepad (autographs!); lotion and lip balm; tissues. Hand sanitizer also isn't a bad idea if you want to avoid travel bugs.Also, take the opportunity to say hello to authors. You'll recognize them by the flowers on their badges. Most are more than happy to chat, and some (including me!) will have swag (buttons, pens, etc.) for the asking!

Where can we find you at RT? Are you on any panels going to any parties etc?

Nexi and Kyden hold a special place in my heart. They where my first ever actual review book that an author had requested I read. It was the perfect start to my blogging experience. I loved them so much the first time around. I made all my friends go out and buy the books and even still 2 years later I can remember a lot from those books. So when I found out they where getting a makeover I was really excited, I love these characters so much that even if Stacey changed it up I knew it would still be awesome. And it was! It was better then I could have ever expected!!

Werewolves be Damned is Stacey's masterpiece. Its by far my favorite book she has ever written to date. This book was hard to put down, my kindle actually forced me to when it had to go and die. I even brought it to work to read during my lunch break.

Nexi is kick ass. She has lost so much and her troubles are just beginning. She is determined to take revenge on the one who killed her parents. She is sometimes wreckless but she proves herself to be one of the best strong willed women characters out there. I just love her.

Kyden, well he deserves a million awesome words to be said about him. He is that beat your chest alpha male type but with a heart of gold. He is sexy as hell and has a sword. Oh and he wears a kilt (is it getting hot in here or what?)! Totally drool worthy! Just read this book and you will see what I am talking about.

Werewolves be Damned has the perfect amount of awesomeness. Its action packed, sexy to the max and the story will have you totally entranced. If you have never read a book by Stacey then this will a perfect book to start with and if you are already a fan then I suggest you get to reading this. Its amazing! I want more from The Otherworld and I want it now. All Urban Fantasy lovers are going to love this book. Its Amber guaranteed!!
