Landbank of 850,000ha, will overtook Sime (landbank of 647,373 ha) position as the world largest listed palm oil plantation company, if the listing materialize;
Biggest market cap in FBMKLCI if listed, expect total market cap of RM71b (based on Sime Darby’s EV/ha of about RM84,000 and assuming no debt on Felda Group).
If CPO windfall tax is revised or abolished, Felda Group listing should command better valuation. For Sime Darby, we expect its FY12E earnings to increase between 6% - 16%.
Positive on the news as plantation sector may fetch higher P/E valuation due to possible rerating.
However, maintain UNDERPERFORM on plantation sector due to negative outlook on CPO prices. Currently, we expect average CPO prices of RM3,000 in 2012 but may revise it downward

1. My first job was working in an Orange Juice factory, but I got canned. Couldn't concentrate.

2.Then I worked in the woods as a Lumberjack, but just couldn't hack it, so they gave me the axe.

3. After that, I tried being a Tailor, but wasn't suited for it -- mainly because it was a sew-sew job.

4. Next, I tried working in a Muffler Factory, but that was too exhausting.

5. Then, tried being a Chef--figured it would add a little spice to my life, but just didn't have the thyme.

6. Next, I attempted being a Deli Worker, but any way I sliced it... couldn't cut the mustard.

7. My best job was a Musician, but eventually found I wasn't noteworthy. 8. I studied a long time to become a Doctor, but didn't have any patience.

9. Next, was a job in a Shoe Factory. Tried hard but just didn't fit in. 10. I became a Professional Fisherman, but discovered I couldn't live on my net income.

Could slightly high blood sugar cause neuropathy?

My glucose levels usually run between 120 and 135 with a nonfasting blood test, though do not have a diagnosis of diabetes. I suffer greatly with my feet and been told by a podiatrist that it is neuropathy. Is it possible that my high glucose levels are causing the neuropathy?

JPMorgan raises growth forecast to 7.7pc

In a report issued this week, JP Morgan attributed the revision to strong regional production data in the first quarter of this year alongside the positive outlook for manufacturing particularly in the technology sector. "Although largely technical (given the base effect), we are seeing fundamental improvements in the EandE (electrical and electronic) sector based on encouraging PMI (purchasing managers index) and export data," the report read. The EandE sector accounts for 60 per cent of exports, 25 per cent of overall GDP and employs 10 per cent of Malaysia's workforce whose wage levels are higher than the national average and is set to rise on the back of strong demand or maximum capacity utilisation.

Meanwhile, Bank Negara Malaysia governor Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz said the Malaysian economy could grow further than the projected five per cent for this year.

Khazanah to divest Pos Malaysia shares

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said yesterday that sovereign fund Khazanah Nasional Bhd would divest its 32 per cent controlling stake in Pos Malaysia. Najib, in announcing this at the Invest Malaysia 2010 conference, did not say if there were already buyers for the stake nor gave a timeline as to when the exercise would be completed. However, sources told Business Times that the frontrunners for the stake might be Tune Group and DRB-HICOM.

I would like to know if the following criteria for selecting a mutual fund is accurate... would love to get your thoughts.. did I miss anything? Low expense ratio - at or below 1% low turnover rate - at or below 50 - 70% no load no 12b-1 fee at least 8% growth over 10 years if this is correct, then what stock funds would you recommend? So I guess a two fold question.. thanks much..
