Iftar + Birthday Dinner

Last week, we had an Iftar-Dine at a lovely restaurant, Nur Wanita Restaurant. Celebrating my friend’s (Dearest, Umi Haziyah) birthday, who just turned 16. How young! Anyways, the foods were amazing. Did I mention, it is one of my favorite restaurants? Indeed. Missing all those laughters for now. It was good to feel that love from friends after all the stress due to the preparation of major exam. Just right after that, we headed to The Mall to get some blended drinks. And we came up with this idea; which require us to use fake names on our Coffee Bean's drinks. I came up with the name "Andrew". Nudge came up with the name "Sha Qui Qui" or something but it was such a fail when they were trying to pronounce it (Not to mention, their connected eyebrows). I feel bad though, probably it was such a torture. While Stef, "Ting-Ting" turned out to be "Tim-Tim".

Sorry for the horrid photo quality. Due to my extreme laziness, I left my DSLR at home.

Waiting

One of the worst things and has always been a problem. It’s very difficult to wait. Especially to wait for something that you’ve been longing for. Waiting for such a long time gives nothing but having negative thoughts swirling inside your mind. These thoughts could either hurt you or rip you apart. That feeling that makes you want to give up on something even how hard you have tried. All you could think of is not having that moment; it’s rather impossible by then. You lose hope really easily. Even how many times people have told you that you’ll find a way to overcome that very soon. The word “soon” may not be applicable for the current time, the current moment, not today, not tomorrow and not this year. You just have to wait more and more. But really, is it worth the wait even how many times people never fail to tell you to not lose hope? Is it worth to try so hard but ended up getting nothing in return? Is it worth to mourn every single night of your life just to wait for something that will not happen soon? Is it worth, to wait?

First off, I don't know how I should feel about this blog. Ever since, Facebook, Twitter & Tumblr started, Blogger's popularity has been decreasing a lot. For sure, Blogger is no longer relevant in our today's world. Though, I still miss the blogging world. Where I used to talk about my everyday's life and problems. Blogger has been treasured down in my memory land. Before, I used to get tons of hits on my blog. And people actually reads. But looking back through my old posts, I couldn't help but cringe on how cheesy and tacky I was. Horrible.

I've reminded myself to update this blog, whenever I have time to. But failed to do so.

Happy New Year, Everyone. I’ d like to say, 2010 was beautiful. A year that filled with sweet memories, joy & happiness. I discovered some new things in life & learn to be a cannibal. The term cannibal, I meant… Being a bad ass [In Other Word, Brave]. Doing things that you wish & enjoy every second of it without caring on what others might think. It’ s your game, you control it. Because that’ s just who you are [depends on the situation]. Such a complete year…

It’ s sad that we’ re in a different year now. I’ m hoping for a better year. But I know, it’ s-not-going-to-be so. Little did I know, most of my friends are going to leave me alone here. They’ re off to their own countries for good. And me, myself & I going to stay here for-ever. Well, that’ s life for me.

By far, the best 2-months holiday, I’ ve ever had! (Well, except that I’ m not going out of country this year). But I don’ t mind. There’ s still a month and a half to go and I’ ve already made most out of my 2-months holiday. Here’ s a list:

… etc! My holidays are seriously packed. There are more to come! Birthday celebrations, costume party, Hotel. It’ s driving me insane. And also, I get enough sleep! I love it.

p/s : Can I get another 2 Months of holidays? Because I don’ t think it’ s enough for me. I don’ t miss school anymore. I never were though.

School’ s finally over. The good news is, we’ re having our 2- Months of holiday. The bad news is, we only have one year of high-school left. And by then, everyone will be going to different direction. When I think about it, it’ s really sad. Especially leaving those people whom we’ ve been seeing since our first year of high school.

I haven’ t made a plan for this holiday. Well probably because, I suck at making one. Most of it will always be a failure. Spontaneous plan is what I prefer. Hmm, let me see. Spending a lot of time on Internet isn’ t a great idea… I need something productive. If I had all the money in the world, I’ d get to Singapore by now. All those scenic sublime, am I dreaming. BUT I really want to go to Tokyo, Japan. But I don’ t understand their language. I have never thought of going out of Asia region. Don’ t know why though.

Thank you god for giving us 3 days off after dreadful days sitting on the exam table. But I’ m not relieved. Between these 3 days, I have to compile everything. From Maths, Geo, IRK to Computer. I mean, Maths… Really? I can do no better this year because everyone in art class is having an issue with the Maths Teacher. Not complaining, but seeing him teaching infront of us, makes you feel really jaded of Maths.

We had our English papers today. Paper 2 was easy. Easier than the one we had during Mid-Year. The words that were given, are being used frequently in History (for comprehension). Summary was easy too. We were asked to define the meanings behind this phrase… “All that glitters is not gold”, Immediately, I thought of Shakespeare. The funny thing is, When I was answering paper 2, the “Bed Intruder” song was playing on my mind. It’ s kind of weird.

Paper 1 was dreadful. The titles were easy, but then, as I boosted up my confidence, I got a little drifted away. After writing 3 paragraphs and almost to the end, I came to a realization where I supposed to put the phrase. Obviously, I was in panic as I knew I had no time left. With a disappointment, I put it far away on the back. Quite-off-topic really. This is my second time. The first time was not because of careless-ness but it was a mistake. I swear, this end-of-year-exam for english paper 1, my story was good.

And hey, I discovered a new book, "Elixir" by Hilary Duff. I read the first chapter, It was excellent. I never thought that Hilary Duff could write a great book. But, I' m pretty sure someone helped her. And on top of that, what' s so good about reading a celebrity book, their voices actually playing on your mind. It' s ironic!

My Hair Is Disgustingly Mohawk

Last two days, I cut my hair, just because I got sent home early from school (My hair was long + colored… I know that sucks) by discipline teacher. Well, I actually didn’ t follow his command. Instead, I played games at cyber cafe next to our school. We played Call of Duty 4 & Counter Strike. COD was cool, it was my first time playing it, talking about a Noob. Now, I feel like downloading it. It' s just that I don' t know how to use this torrent thing. The download bar always does not seem to move.

My hair is now Mohawk. Reminds me of '09 Era. GOD, I hate having mohawk hair because you have to spray it and all that shit and it’ s ridiculous for me to have Mohawk hair. My hair was healthy before, I' m not saying it' s not healthy right now, It is... But it just doesn't look healthy. I cannot wait for it to grow back and I’ m so gonna make it supa fab (after exam that is). Right now, I’ m so sad omfg. I miss curling my hair. And no I don' t mean to offend anyone with mohawk hair. I think mohawk hair looks gorgeous on guys who have essential beauty of face structure. But it does not suit me at all. I look like another typical, not a memorable person.

So the day after my hair cut. I was a show-stopper (bitchplz). Everyone was looking, it felt terrible. Oh gosh, I hate that kind of feeling where you feel really damn insecure about yourself. And when people started to commenting your hair and you’ d have to be like “Okay”. Because you never meant to cut it in the first place. Yes, I’ m complaining.

My dad kept on saying that my hair looks better. I know he’ s trying to make me feel better, but it’ s not working. I know it is quite silly to complain about your hair. All I gotta do is to work this hair and make it blazin' (which I don’ t think I can do).

For the last time, I’ m not gonna do a Shaved Mohawk hair anymore! I’ m totally done with it! For now, I’ m thinking of how should I pose infront of a camera.

As you can see from that picture, the horror. No offense, but acting cute on pictures is just ..... so-typical-asian. Not being a racist (How can I be one, when I' m one of them too), most of us agree. So, there we are, trying to make fun of ourselves.

I had a thing on asian poses back in 09. Which lasted probably for 5 months. My peace sign + my one million dollar wink. When I come across those photos there' s just a message saying "Oh, hehe, i' m cute, so cute like a cotton candy." Okay maybe not a cotton candy, that' s sweet, not cute. And, you' re not cute when you' re acting to be one. It comes naturally. Unless you' re a try-hard.

It is some-kind of a trend in Asian Countries but definitely not South East Asia. Because, pretty much, we are influenced by different types of trends, poses, you name it. Nevertheless, If you' re that hot and you' re doing that Asian pose maybe I can consider that.

At least there' s an appreciation going on here. It is not always bad.

MTV VMAs was alright.

But it' s just that, VMA will never be the same without Britney. I can officially say that VMA is dead. I miss the old VMAs. There were no iconic performances, or controversies like it used to have. VMAs used to be a big show. 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003... Golden Years for VMA' s.

Where are the old popstars?

I' m talking about Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Shakira, Christina Aguilera & Beyonce. They are those entertainers who give shocking performances. None of them were there.

I believe MTV was giving a chance for new artists to perform such as Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Jason Derulo. They maybe are talented but they are lack of stage presence. Not saying, i' m putting a lot of hatred on them... no. But i' m saying that their performance can' t be compared with old VMA' s. I thought it was a Nickelodeon' s Teen Choice Awards or something.

Where is the sex appeal and energy?

They basically did nothing. They just sing their ass-off. And most singers can do that. I wanted to see these...

Deadmau5 was amazing. Glad that he was choosen to be a DJ. It made me happy at least. One of the pros from the VMAs.

Justin Bieber performed Baby & Somebody to love. It was nice. Just a typical Bieber performance. Usher, was great, he' s the only one who I could say, better than the others but not good enough. Somehow it reminded me of Christina' s 2008 performance. And Rihanna' s duet was plain boring.

Lady GaGa owned the night by winning 8 Moon Men. I think she looks amazing, her dress is just stunning. Better than last year' s. She actually deserves all the Moon Men. Afterall, she' s the only artist since those popstars who I mentioned before who made a pop phenomenon. She does remind me of the "Britney-Effect" back during 2000s.

And Justin Bieber won Best New Artist. I was upset. Ke$ha should' ve won. Katy Perry went home empty-handed. It' s ridiculous for an artist who got 2 number 1s on Billboard and number #1 Album.

Seeing these girls are better than seeing the actual show.

My First and Second day of Raya!

First Day of Hari Raya;

For the first time in my history, I had a bad hair day during the FIRST day of Hari Raya. My hair looked like a nest or something. I could' ve used a straightening iron or something. The night before Raya, my hair was extremely nice & soft. And karma is a bitch.

As usual, we gathered. But this time, at my uncle' s house. It was great... but still, my hair was a mess. And, I used Gavyn for picture takings! I insist on posting the photos which include me on them. Anyway, everyone looked great with their Cara Melayu & Baju Kurong. Had the "Raya Vibe".

Second Day of Hari Raya:

We went to the Palace! It was my first time... to be honest. So, I got sakai over it. Instead of going to the public entrance we had an access to the VIP room! Where all the Navy, Soldier officers were there. Such a gorgeous place! But unfortunately, there were no seats left. My parents had seats. We didn' t. So we actually sat on the stairs but in a glamorous way of course. Kidding. I prefer sitting on those red couches.
The food... heaven! They had waffles, ice creams... well you can eat all you want. I only ate once. My tummy was full. And plus, I wanted to take pictures instead of just eating. *godiwantthefreakingwaffles*

We had cut them off. I felt really bad. If i' m not mistaken, we were the first one to salam his majesty. And It was my first time! Definitely, I was hella nervous. They looked like a wax figure and their hands were soft. I swear to god.

Oh yes, before that, they took my camera. Cameras were not allowed unless you have a permission. God damn it. I think I really need to buy a Spy Camera Pen. Not to forget, I didn't recieve any angpows. It' s either the guy did not see me or I' m too old to be given one. Nevertheless, they gave us this yellow box! That' s good enough, right?

I’ m far on the right, with white shirt, first row. We played Bowling yesterday. Guess what, I sucked. It’ s been like… 3 years? And I totally set the world record for getting a lot of 3s. But in the end, I got better. It was such a simple day and not forget to mention happy! Need to practice bowling… Whatevs.

*Sad to know that I can' t come to Bella' s birthday party at her house! I' m gonna miss all the fun. And there will be a bouncer there, they are all going to get wild and dirty :(

O god. I' m sick. Which means, I had to go home early from school today. Now, i' m feeling better (Still Sick, Ok.) I skipped important periods, which were Maths, BM & Geo. But who cares. I' d rather be at home, sleeping. Anyway...

We had our English Presentation this morning. Teacher liked it. I did the whole passage using my phone (& Thanks to Baz, who corrected some of my words!)To be honest, I wasn’ t feeling any good. But I did well. She shook her head when I was telling the whole shaving story of Britney Spears. “If you were her, you’ d probably commit suicide.” She laughed at this part. Great to know my presentation was a success. Thanks to Britney! ;) x. O yeah, Stefanie did Alexander McQueen which was great and Crystal did *Idon'tevenknowwhothehellisthatuglywoman*. Yea.

Futuristic Lover, i' ve been listening to it for quite sometimes. It' s so dark and you' re poised to enter her world. OMG YES, MY HAIR WAS TERRIBLE.

The main point for this whole journey was Wake Boarding. Well, Soon was doing the Wake Board, while us, Me & Fee, we just sat on the boat. I didn' t bring my camera along, because, it' s heavy and I just wanted to feel free on that boat, so I did. Thank god, it wasn' t as dizzy as before. Because Soon gave me an advice me to use headset and listen to music. I listened to California Gurls. That was awesome. No kidding. I had a bad hair day, Look how greasy my hair was. It was so fucking ugly I could die!

Just after Wake Board, we ate at Pantai Restaurant. The waitress was different. I mean, different person, usually we always encountered with this particular waitress who tends to say "Excuse Me" like several times? 1000x. God, that girl is seriously funny. In this photo... Ya, obviously. I' m the person who' s using MacBeth. I don' t know what' s the point of this photo but i' m liking it.
Just after that, we did not know what to do. Instead, to kill our time, we decided to watch movie. I was a little bit disappointed that they were not showing "Despicable Me". We watched Toy Story 3 Instead. Omg, I' ve watched it like 3 times already. It was boring watching it thrice, but in the end, it still got me. It was sad. So sad I could die.
We waited for like an hour for the cinema. Only god knows how terrible that one hour was.
And then! We went to Atrium Cafe to eat! It was my first time after like 4-5 years. That was long time ago. Actually, Atrium is better than Pantai in my opinion.. The foods were delicious. For this cafe, waiters are in-charge.

Ok. I know my order.

Wet Char Kue Tiaw. This is definitely my favorite. FYI, without Veges. Guess what' s so stupid about it. Comparing this Char Kuey Tiaw with Pantai, They are almost equal you know. Ok, no. The Char Kuey Tiaw in Pantai, the noodles are nice but the wet shit isn' t nice, it' s just ok. While in Atrium, the wet shit is nice. But then it doesn' t blend with the noodles. What is wrong with this shit anyway?!

So... I had a marvelous weekend! Yee-ha!

Buzzing About Inception

Hay. Yesterday, I watched Inception because everybody was buzzing on how good it is. So why not, right? I booked tickets and all, was so damn excited. The movie' s duration is about 2 Hours, bitch, I know. But then it was worth it! The first part of the movie was such a snoozefest. It left you like "Ok, honey. Stop talking. I don' t understand this shit. Lemme sleep now." When the movie reached the middle part, that is where it was all about. About a dream.

The movie was psychotic, so damn bionic. I should praise the director for having this sick idea. I mean, who would thought about it? you? na-uh. Like sharing our dreams to people? Omfg, that' s just crazy. So, the movie was really experimental I should say. My favorite actor is there, Joseph Gordon Levitt. The girl from Juno was just so annoying. I hate her for sure. I never found her attractive. They could' ve replaced her with someone better. Ok, but her acting was good enough. It' s just that I hate her. The bitch, I mean the woman who' s playing Leo' s wife was a psychotic motherfucker, I tell you. She was so fierce, you just feel like slap her on the face and throw her cheese grits.

I' ll rate this movie, 7.5-8/10, Not gonna give it a 9. Because it was really a snoozefest. I mean Leonardo Dicaprio? God. He' s so damn serious, I could die. Just like Shutter Island.

This album is just fun but not quite Xtina. It' s an Electro-Pop album but I' d say, it' s an album in a confuse state. Going in different directions and sounds. It is a little bit risque, which Christina loves to do. But then, she failed. The songs in the album itself are really great. It' s an opposite of Back To Basics, a bad opposite that is! I love most of the songs actually. But then, something is so not it and incomplete. The album starts with an epic "Bionic", the chorus? is amazing, but the beats? totally lack of something. Most of her songs are over-produced sometimes her songs are just, not satisfying enough. Like "Vanity", self-loving song but there is nothing SO DAMN sexy about it, just bitchy but don' t get me wrong, it' s fun.

Lyrics, are not so nice in structural terms. It' s so damn straightforward and nothing creative. Okay, about auto-tune. Why does she even need one? So she could sound more futuristic? That shit is funny. She has a nice voice. It' s like you photoshop Megan Fox' s face or Jessica Alba' s face when you know they already are beautiful. So this girl doesn't need an auto-tune for her beautiful voice! Her ballads, are snooze-fest except for "Life me Up" it' s beautiful. She needs to sing, just sing, like she used to. Not venturing into pop-modern-futuristic genre. Clearly she forgot who the she is. She is not herself tonight!

My personal favorite track is Prima Donna. Her voice is...excellent here. The siren and beats make the song more stronger. I like it.

Eminem : Recovery

This album is insane! Yes, the old Eminem is officially back. No more "Ass Like Dat" Eminem. The lyrics are deep, I could totally feel the connection in between. His pain and everything, it' s damn intense. The album starts with "Cold Wind Blows" a really chill and mediocre song and it makes you feel like you want explore more into his world or in this album. What I totally love about this album is that, it gets more crazy, epic and stronger in the end. From track 7 "Not Afraid" which is his first single, till the end. This is where all the magic happens. It' s so emotional and inspirational.

25 to life is my personal favorite. Beautifully made, it' s just so... genius. With Rihanna' s Love The Way You Lie, it gives me this "Run This Town" vibe but in an emotional way. Eminem made the song more stronger, lyrical and understandable. About the beats for this album, it' s DOPE! Oh yeah, what' s so great about this album is that, not so much of auto-tune is being used!

This album is a MASTERPIECE.

Movie + Martial Arts = PURE SEX.

Grr, I cannot explain on how much I love Martial Arts. Bow to me for being a hardcore Martial Arts fan! But no, never intended on learning it. To be honest, during my childhood days, I have tons of Kung Fu / Martial Arts Movies! Just for your information, I am not a fan of martial arts those which are involve in cartoons or animated series. No, i mean just look at Jackie Chan Animated Series... what the hell. Boring stuff.

Oh yes! I love Elektra. I' ve watched it for like thousand times already and I cannot get enough of it. The storyline, the actions, the cinematography...insane. But what' s so sad is that this movie is such an underrated martial arts movie ever! It may not be realistic but I just love the stunts. Just like Ninja Assassin & Ip man, these two movies are the shit!

*Anyway, not that I don' t like any other types of movies. If then so, you are ridiculously wrong. I love zombies too, yeah, machine guns, stunts, action. Woo Hoo, I' m a big fan of RESIDENT EVIL.
