So from the start, we planned to use this backpack for a day trip rather than a weeklong trek through the wilderness. To begin our day, we tucked baby into the Tough Traveler Pal'Mino, and tackled the most extreme of circumstances: the grocery store during naptime. The experience couldn't have been more beautiful. Rather than having a fussy, uncomfortable baby reaching for items on store shelves -- or worse yet, falling asleep in a germ-ridden store cart -- we had a leisurely shopping trip with a snoozing baby cuddled into the Pal'Mino backpack. The backpack's five-point harness is easy to adjust, and seems comfortable for baby.

We then went for a mid-day walk through a local museum and found that the backpack keeps baby secure, but also gives her a vantage point she enjoys. We definitely keep her entertained much longer when she is happily viewing the world from the Pal'Mino backpack. Plus, we find the backpack fits the wearer as comfortably during hour three as it did on minute one. It has padded shoulder straps and a padded waist strap. A sternum strap helps keep everything in place. The frame includes a footrest for young children and stirrups can be added for toddlers. The Pal'Mino also has under-seat storage and a kickstand for solo baby loading.

The day of testing ended with a long stroll along a scenic walking path, and the pleasant absence of an aching back. We did, however, notice there is not a canopy to protect the child from weather conditions. Overall, we find the Tough Traveler Pal'Mino Backpack Carrier is lightweight, easy to adjust and comfortable for both wearer and baby.

Pros: Mid-price range, five-point harness, padded straps
Cons: Canopy not included

Warranty
1 year, zippers; lifetime

Source: http://products.howstuffworks.com/tough-traveler-palmino-backpack-carrier-review.htm

OnTheAvenues SEO

Best Convertible Baby Carrier

Best convertible baby carrier
•Good ergonomics
•Baby can be carried on the front, back or side
•Suitable for large babies and toddlers
•Can be difficult to use in the piggyback position
•Fabric is quite stiff
•Limited availability

The Ergo Baby Carrier competes with the Baby Bjorn Original (*est. $65) when it comes to ergonomic baby carriers. The Ergo Baby Carrier is highly regarded by parents, many of whom give it perfect ratings. As the name suggests, the Ergo Baby Carrier's standout feature is its exceptional ergonomics. Reviewers like the foam-padded straps at the shoulder and waist; they also give good feedback to 'its adjustability (it fits adults from '5 feet tall to '"6 feet 5 inches in height). Parents are also enthusiastic about its versatility: babies can be carried up front, on one hip, or piggyback style. However, a significant drawback is that your baby can't face forward when riding in the front position as she can with the Baby Bjorn. The other drawback is the Ergo Baby Carrier's price.

The book "Baby Bargains" is a reliable source when it comes to baby gear. The Ergo Baby Carrier gets good coverage from authors Denise and Alan Fields, who base their ratings on extensive research and parent feedback. Parents.com covers the Ergo in its "Mom-Tested Baby Slings and Carriers" roundup, where author Alisa Stoudt includes a useful amount of balance along with the standard description of features. User reviews are good for those who want to get a sense of how owners feel the Ergo Baby Carrier performs under real-world conditions. http://www.consumersearch.com/baby-carriers/ergo-baby-carrier?ap=0&clear=search

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/babycarrierwrapup/echK/~3/0gAKocsCsdw/ergo-baby-carrier-review-best.html" title="Ergo Baby Carrier Review. The manufacturers of this product have over 25 years experience in design and production of baby carriers and related products! Each carrier is shipped with written instructions as well as an instructional video for easy operation.

This incredible twin carrier allows you to comfortably carry one or two babies from birth to 30 lbs. Choose from 6 different positions; babies can ride in front or back, facing in or out. Padded in all the right places, it's completely adjustable to provide comfort and support as babies grow. And as an added value, carriers double as safety restraints in shopping carts and full-sized chairs.

The MaxiMom Twin and Triplet carriers can do all of the above as well as allow you to carry two or three babies at a time. The MaxiMom Twin carrier allows you to carry two babies on your chest, facing in or facing the world, or one baby on your back and one on your chest. The MaxiMom carrier will allow you to have 'life after birth', as returning to daily life with two babies, or three, can be quite challenging. The twin and triplet carriers will allow you to keep babies close while at home or on-the-go without assistance! When you do have an extra set of hands, our unique buckling system allows you to detach the carriers from each other, creating two or three separate carriers in one easy step. This allows Mom and Dad to each carry one baby at a time

The MaxiMom carriers have shoulder straps that can be removed to place baby in the car seat or in a high chair...No fussing babies! The soft baby section of the carrier can be put on before you go out and stay on until you arrive back home. Baby can wear this main piece like an outfit. Padded in all the right places, the MaxiMom carriers will keep parents and babies comfy all day. The MaxiMom carriers even have a toy strap to hold pacifiers and a pocket that holds bottles. The leg holes are padded and include drawstrings, so they are adjustable as baby grows.

The MaxiMom carriers carry newborns, approx. 7 lbs, to babies, approx. 30 lbs each.

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/babycarrierwrapup/echK/~3/QS44dAb9FIM/twin-baby-carrier-reviews-maximom-twin.html" title="Twin baby Carrier Reviews. This not only allows you to give both of your babies a lot of closeness and physical contact but also facilitates the ability to do everyday activities like shopping or going for walks without having to take your twin buggy or pram along too !

The Weego Twin Baby Carrier can be used from birth upwards - starting at a weight of the babies of 1.6kg (3.5lbs). This makes the Weego Twin Baby Carrier also suitable for use with premature babies (the average weight of twins at 37 weeks is 5.5lbs). Depending on the weight and size of the babies it can be used until the twins are approximately 6-9 months old or up to 35lbs in total (8kg per baby). Now with FREE protective carrying bag when not in use and for travel.

The double pouch construction of the Weego Twin Baby Carrier features an inner and outer pouch for each baby to make sure both babies are always secure, comfortable and cosy. The Weego TWIN easily adjusts for growing babies and to fit different people carrying them (from 5'2" slim frame to 6'3" broad frame). To see an interactive detailed diagram of the construction go to : http://www.weego.de/english/interaktiv.htm

The Weego Twin Baby Carrier is made of soft and light navy cotton twill with blue and green plaid lining. The Weego is machine washable and can be tumble dried at low temperature.

Twin Babies love to be carried !

During pregnancy, the babies experience closeness to its mother through her heartbeat, motion and voice. After birth, the babies thrive through close physical contact. Giving your children this physical closeness as often as you can will contribute to happy and healthy development.

Scientific research proves that children carried frequently are not only more content and cry less but carrying also:

* Supports the bonding between parent and child(ren).
* Promotes the development of personality and self-confidence.
* Supports the development of linguistic abilities and motor skills.

The Weego Twin make this closeness possible giving the babies the space to discover the world and leaving parents´ hands free to explore with them !

Exclusive Twin Baby Carrier
Orthopaedically correct posture
Suitable from 1.6kg (3.5lbs)- 8kg each
Suitable for age to aprox 6-9 months
Soft, Comfortable & Secure
Fits adults 5'2" to 6'3"
Navy Cotton Twill & Green Check
Machine Washable 30° C
Tumble Dry at low temp
FREE Protective Carrying Bag

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/babycarrierwrapup/echK/~3/nb6_UTnliB0/weego-twin-baby-carrier-for-twins-twin.html" title="Weego TWIN. Nursing in a sling

Nursing in a Baby Carrier

Nursing your baby in a sling is very simple with a little practice. Always make sure that your baby's head is positioned AWAY from the rings. This gives you ample fabric to position your baby correctly and then cover yourself. Always support your baby with your arm as you normally would when you nurse in the cradle position. Even though the sling is supporting them this keeps their head at the correct position on your breast so your nipples don't become sore. As your baby grows it is fine for their feet and legs to hang out the end where the rings are. If your baby falls asleep in this position and stops nursing it's easy to continue carrying them this way or you can lay them down gently and then slip the sling off over your head. Many moms find they like to use the sling to nurse discreetly when they are in public. Not only can it be used to nurse while you are seated but it's also a great way to be able to meet your baby's needs yet be able to continue your shopping!

What's the best way to nurse my baby in a sling?

Some women can nurse in any carrier, we've found that those that offer the most adjustability are best for nursing newborns or any child in the cradle (laying down position).

Our favorite is the wrap for ease of nursing on either side and the total adjustability. A stretchy wrap such as the Moby is great for newborns, but a gauze or woven wrap is easier to use for heavier children. For a tiny baby, you can use the "pea pod" position (fold the straps in half to create a pocket for the baby) by moving the fabric on the inside away from your body to make room for the baby to latch on.

For larger children, you can tie the front wrap cross carry with the pocket on the inside. Place baby inside the pocket and cross one strap under baby's bum for support, the other can be used to support his head.

For those early days when baby just wants to nurse all the time, consider wearing your wrap as a shirt. Just go topless & place baby skin to skin and nurse as needed. Baby is happy - close to mom and well fed. This is especially good for babies who are premature or suffering from failure to thrive. Mamma's warmth and convenient milk supply will do nothing but help.

The Ring Sling is probably the most popular carrier for nursing, as it is very adjustable and the tail can be used for privacy. Most women find it easiest to nurse with the baby's head away from the rings. You can also nurse in the football position this way.

For children who like to nurse in an upright position, the wrap or Mei Tai are great options. You simply lower the straps a bit to get baby to the right level and then lift the breast to the baby (nursing over the top instead of lifting your shirt is often easier).

For older babies and toddlers, many moms prefer to nurse in the hip carry, they simply lift their shirt (or open the nursing slits in a nursing top) and latch baby on. Any carrier that you use for hip carries can be used for this.

Step 1: Place your baby in the sling using the cradle hold or reverse cradle hold.
Step 2:Turn your baby's body slightly in the sling so that the two of you are tummy-to-tummy when your baby needs to nurse.
Step 3: Pull down the sling rail closest to your body, and pull up your shirt or open your nursing shirt; this should give your baby instant access.
Step 4: Tighten the sling so that your baby's head is level with your breast if he or she is in the reverse cradle hold (head away from the rings).
Step 5: Rotate the sling around your body if your baby is in the cradle hold (head toward the rings), until the baby's head is at the level of your breast. This may mean that the shoulder pad slips in front of your shoulder, but you can readjust the sling after you nurse, or wear the pad slightly further back if you know you may have to nurse.
Step 6: To be extra discreet, pull up the outer padded sling rail so that it covers your baby's head, making sure it is still open at the top.

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/babycarrierwrapup/echK/~3/6h-aievJwkY/breast-feeding-with-baby-sling-nursing.html" title="Breast Feeding with a Baby Sling. Every piece is handmade from top quality designer fabric and heavy duty webbing and buckles, and can be used with children from newborns to toddlers in front and back carries.

The internal sling or pouch is the most innovative feature of the Butterfly model. It enables you to securely buckle your baby into the carrier, then handle Baby + Carrier as a single unit. You can pass the baby to another caregiver without removing baby from the carrier. You can also put your 3+ month-old baby on your back very easily, just like putting on a backpack!

The Beco Butterfly contains a built-in infant insert for newborns (shown at left) that allows your baby to ride higher in the carrier in an ergonomically comfortable position. Since the insert base is narrower then the actual carrier base, infants can comfortably spread their legs while retaining the recommended seated position of knees at the same level as the bottom.

When your baby outgrows the need for the newborn insert, you simply place her into the main body compartment, and the infant insert lays flat against the carrier panel. In the first photo at above right, you can see the newborn insert flattened out of the way, between the wearer's hands.

Beco Butterfly Product Details

• Child can be worn on front or back and easily shifted from one to the other.
• Tall, tapered carrier body provides lots of support for your baby or toddler, holds baby close to your body for greater comfort. Prevents the shoulder strain associated with wearing babies who like to lean backwards.
• Adjustable buckles on the top of the body of carrier enable easy nursing access. In a front carry, loosen the buckles to allow your baby to drop down lower in the carrier. Then lift your breast to allow your baby to latch on.
• The Butterfly has a removable head rest/sleeping hood, shaped like a rectangle with rounded edges. The head rest attaches to the body of the carrier with smooth nylon webbing and triglide buckles. The hood can be stored in the "hood keeper", a sleeve-like pocket placed on the waist belt.
• The shoulder straps have been fully redesigned. They are ergonomically shaped to better adapt to the wearer's body, and are padded with 0.75" foam for ultimate comfort.
• The sternum (chest) strap is now connected to the shoulder straps and slides along their length. No more lost chest straps!
• The waistband is now firmer and more supportive (no more folding over, pouching out or deforming), while still maintaining the same slim profile.
• High-quality fabrics are smooth, stylish, and comfortable against the skin.
• Fits waists from 25 up to 50 inches.
• Padded leg holes prevent chafing of little thighs.
• Recommended care: wash on gentle cycle in cold water with a mild detergent. Hang to dry overnight in well ventilated area. Spot clean when needed. Care instructions are sewn to the carrier on the product label, so you always have them handy.
• There was a voluntary recall of the first edition Butterfly back in January 2008, due to some issues with the nylon straps possibly slipping through the buckles. The new design has buckles that are super-secure.

Beco Butterfly - New definition of style, function and safety in soft structured carriers. Comfortably fits users under 5’ and over 6’ and everyone in between.

Ergonomically curved shoulder straps
Built-in infant insert enables baby to sit higher in carrier
New redesigned body style
Three section ergonomic waist belt
Inside panel enables to pass baby front one parent to another
Easy and safe front and back carry
Removable hood and storage sleeve on the waist belt
Newborn to toddler up to 55 lbs
Lightweight and Stylish
Hands free nursing
Beco Butterfly's Built-in Infant Insert Features
Built-in infant insert means you do not need to purchase the insert separately, and your baby can sit higher in the carrier, in a natural healthy position. Later on, when baby outgrows the need for insert, you simply place her into the main body compartment, and the insert lays flat against the body.

Inside panel is one of the most innovative features of Butterfly model. It enables you to pass baby to your spouse or another caregiver without removing baby from the carrier. Our goal was to provide maximum freedom and comfort for both the parent and the baby, who would often be carried into the toddler ages at 2 ½ years to 3 years old. We learned that many of the baby carriers on the market had a very limited usage time, that the level of comfort provided was unsatisfactory, the safety of the baby was a concern and the need for discreet breastfeeding was important. Also, the growing child would require the carrier to be versatile to accommodate changes in positioning, yet simple in design so that it would be easy to use. Armed with all of this feedback we made important design changes.

10 REASONS WHY … Experienced baby sling wearers have told us they prefer the Heart to Heart™ (H2H) baby sling

1. The H2H has a unique shoulder design which is less cumbersome and does not restrict arm movement. The rings are on top of the shoulder pad and protect both mom’s breast and baby’s head. 4. Nylon Rings – H2H uses tested nylon rings made of superior strength that provide durability, lucid adjustability and grip the fabric securely.

2. Split tail design – offers infinite adjustment – the upper or lower edge may be independently adjusted for a perfect fit. The adjustability is essential for properly supporting baby’s spine and head. Many slings just give the illusion of adjustment.

3. Best Padding – we use consistent high density batting that is resilient wash after wash, is flame retardent and non allergenic. The H2H is fully padded at the sides and shoulders for extra comfort, protection and head support and is not bulky around the upper back and shoulders.

4. Nylon Rings – H2H uses tested nylon rings made of superior strength that provide durability, lucid adjustability and grip the fabric securely.

5. Wider width body – the deeper pocket expands to 40 inches wide and accommodates even a sleeping toddler up to 35 lbs. There is enough fabric for discreet nursing or to cover up baby in inclement weather.

6. Wide choice of quality fabrics – conservative, classic or stylin’, we have fabrics made of 100% soft breathable cotton to suit you !

7. Quality construction – one mother told us of carrying a sick 4 year old ¾ of a mile home. The H2H baby sling is designed to distribute the baby’s weight across the shoulders and back for parents’ comfort, allowing your baby to be held for longer periods of time.

8. Easy care – machine wash and hang dry – mostly 100 % cotton fabrics. The sling is lightweight for easy storage in a purse or diaper bag.

9. Demonstration DVD (10 min.) parents are taught how to utilize their sling to its full potential, learn how to wear the sling and use many different positions that allow baby to see the world, snuggle in for nap or nurse at will.

10. The H2H baby sling is a complete baby carrier …designed by a mother of four with improvements from continuous field testing since 1989 on thousands of babies.

Physical and Psychological Benefits :
Baby’s spine is supported; legs are kept together during the early weeks when the pelvis is developing.

Heart to Heart baby sling leaves both hands free for work or play while baby enjoys the security of a parent’s closeness (not to mention the great view).

Babies love and need to be held ! Your baby can enjoy the security and warmth of mom throughout the day; a baby who is carried more, cries less and develops well. Great opportunity for dad to bond with baby too!

The H2H sling allows you to respond to your baby’s feeding needs immediately while giving you the privacy you desire.

So easy to put on and take off, your sleeping baby can easily be moved to a bed or car seat without waking

Learn more about the Heart to heart baby sling

Heart To Heart Baby Carrier. Heart 2 Heart Baby Sling

Easy to wear Heart to Heart baby carrier. Baby carriers that are comfort to both mother and baby.

Heart 2 Heart Baby Carriers - soothing to baby, 10 GREAT positions. Great baby carrier for dads!

What moms and dads have to say about the heart 2 heart baby sling carriers

* My son is 8 months old and absolutely loves being in the Heart 2 Heart carrier. This side baby carrier is designed to be a comfort to mother and baby. I love the Heart 2 Heart carrier because...

* it can be used when baby is a newborn all the way up to a toddler. The maximum recommended weight is 40 pounds.

* my baby hardly ever cries when he is in the Heart 2 Heart carrier

* its a great baby sling for dads. Dads are particularly fond of the baby slings, as it allows dad to spend intimate time with baby!

* I use the Heart 2 Heart carrier when my baby is crying and he almost always stops crying when I put him into the sling

* the sling makes it easy to hold baby, and I find that the more babies are held the more content they are and the less they cry

* it makes me happy because I know that babies love to be close and feel the security of a parent or caregiver. The Heart 2 Heart carrier really allows this closeness, while allowing for your comfort at the same time.

* I breast feed my baby. The Heart to Heart makes it easy to breastfeed anywhere and I can do it with confidence knowing that the sling is providing me and my boy with privacy. In fact, because the sling has such a generous amount of fabric in the “hammock” where the baby is held it is very easy to breastfeed on both sides just by moving baby from one side to another without having to take him out of the sling. How easy is that?

* the Heart to Heart sling is truly hands free. When I want to get things done around the house I face my baby outwards so that he can see what is going on while I get things done around the house. When I want baby to 'settle down' and I change his position so that he is snug up against me. He settles down and I am still able to accomplish tasks around the house, like writing this article.

* it makes it easy when traveling. For example, on an airplane during take off I just secure him snuggly to me. I feel better and I know that he does too.

The Heart to Heart sling...
allows baby to be in 10 or more positions

comes with a an instructional DVD, which clearly shows you how to put your sling on and adjust it for different situations and positions.

is really hands free. Other child carriers say that they are hands free, but this one is so adjustable with the upper and lower edges, which can be independently tightened, that you really are able to get things done, and keep baby comfortable at the same time.

is exceptionally comfortable. The padding in the shoulder makes it easy to carry any baby. I have tried several different sling type carriers and have never found one so easy to use and so comfortable.

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/babycarrierwrapup/echK/~3/MVVxwcLipDM/heart-to-heart-baby-carrier-heart-2.html" title="Heart To Heart Baby Carrier. Choosing a Baby Sling

Baby carriers or baby slings have been around as long as babies have been around. Different regions with different needs have developed unique carries. With the internet making the world a smaller place every day, you can now find baby carriers of all shapes, forms and fashions. With a little searching you are sure to find a baby carrier that will fit your needs.

Finding the best baby sling is a personal journey. Every baby will have different needs and every mother will have different requirements. One child may do wonderfully in a pouch and the second child (from the same parents) may refuse to stay put. Time can also be a factor. If you are only going to be using the pouch for a few minutes, then something that takes lots of straps or wrapping may not be justified.

The Ring Sling is one that is great for giving you a free hand around the house, and is mostly used with newborn babies. It consists of a length of cloth that is attached to two rings on one side. The other end of the cloth is threaded through the two rings, forming a pouch for baby. When the baby is in the pouch, the weight of the baby causes the threaded fabric to lock into place.

Fabric Pouches are similar in use to the Ring Sling, only without the rings. They consist on one solid tube of cloth that is draped over the mother’s shoulders and creates a pouch for the baby. These can be bought commercially or made by hand (just avoid slippery material if you do make your own).

Wraps are several yards of fabric that are wrapped around the baby and the wearer and then tied. It allows almost any piece of sturdy cloth to be turned into a sling or wrap (even bed sheets can be used for this purpose). The only limit to how you can secure the baby on the carrier is the length of the fabric that is being used. These are great for hands-free carrying – in the front or in the back. They can also be used to carry toddlers.

Backpack Carriers (or Mei Tai) is traditionally a square piece of cloth with straps coming out of each corner. It is secured by bringing all the straps around the person doing the carrying to be tied all together. It can act as a front or back carrier and can be used with toddlers or infants that can hold up their head well.

The best baby carrier is one that is comfortable and convenient for you and for your baby. Forget about all the hype and hearsay; before you buy a carrier you should try it out for yourself.

Source: momsinc

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/babycarrierwrapup/echK/~3/8quBKYor1KY/selecting-baby-carrier-choosing-baby.html" title="Selecting A Baby Carrier. Simple to use/wear/assemble/adjust, anyone can wear it, COMFORTABLE

Cons
Is pricey (around $80), but is ABSOLUTELY WORTH EVERY PENNY

The Bottom Line
Baby Bjorn's Infant Carrier is one of the best purchases you can make if you have (or are expecting) a little one. I couldn't live without mine!

New motherhood has brought many insights -- one of which is the fact that even though something LOOKS good on paper, doesn't mean it actually IS good. Before Aidan was born I did some research and decided on the New Native Baby Sling. I had looked at the Baby Bjorn model but decided that, at $80, it was too expensive for my taste. So I tried the baby sling and I had another insight -- apparently I'm way too stupid to use it. I do have a fairly high IQ (somewhere in the low 140s), but I cannot seem to figure out how to operate a baby sling. Then, while garage sale shopping, I came across the Baby Bjorn Infant Carrier for $20 and I bought it in a heartbeat. ANYTHING had to be better than the New Native Sling, and for only $20 I was willing to give it a shot.

Am I ever glad I stopped by that garage sale.

Product Specs
Developed together with parents and leading medical experts, the BABYBJÖRN Baby Carrier keeps baby close and warm while allowing Mom and Dad to carry on with daily activities. Unique styling has given our carrier "celebrity" status. Winner of Silver Award, Design of the Decade, IDSA, 1999, USA as one of the best 36 products of the decade.

A Safe Carrier That Grows With Your Baby
The carrier provides safe and snug head support for the small baby. When your baby becomes a little older and his neck is strong enough to support his head, he can be carried facing outward. The neck-rest can then be folded down giving the baby a birds-eye view of his surroundings. The carrier grows with the baby thanks to an adjustable buckle that gives maximum comfort for all ages.

Quick and Easy to Put On
The carrier is quick and easy to put on and take off as all adjustments are made in the front. Wide, padded straps distribute the weight evenly over your back, taking strain off your shoulders. The front opens allowing you to lay your sleeping baby down without waking him.

This product is intended for infants 21" or longer, and a weight of 8 lbs or greater. You can use the carrier until your baby reaches a weight of 22 lbs (or so). When you are using it for an infant weight around 8 lbs, there are extra straps to keep them from sliding out. You can use the Baby Bjorn carrier to carry your infant facing towards you, or away from you. They are VERY CLEAR on the fact that your child should ALWAYS be facing your chest until they have proper neck control. Once they can hold their head steady, you can have them face outward.

My Experience

I cannot comment about the packaging (because I bought it secondhand), but I bought a very pretty navy blue carrier with a little anchor sewn into the front of it. According to the website, the Baby Bjorn comes in 7 different colors/patterns. So, I get the Baby Bjorn home and read through the instruction manual. I'm impressed IMMEDIATELY. I haven't seen an instruction manual as clear, detailed and easy to follow as the one I received with my carrier. In addition, the instructions are printed ON THE CARRIER ITSELF (in case you ever lose them), and they're online. What more can you ask for?

I decided that I wanted to wash it before strapping my son in it (he's in the stage where EVERYTHING goes in the mouth, and I really don't know where the carrier had been), so I checked the label on the carrier. MACHINE WASHABLE! How great is that? Just chuck it in with warm water, some gentle detergent and click on the delicate cycle and viola, clean carrier (make sure to disassemble it before you throw it in). After it's clean, just hang it on a hanger to dry. It dries fairly quickly, and in a few hours my Baby Bjorn Carrier was ready for Aidan to use.

I read through the instruction manual and hooked the straps together, which just involved two quick steps, and slid the carrier on. I was REALLY impressed with how easy it was to assemble and put on. Normally it takes a few tries to really get the hang of a contraption like this, but I felt like an old pro the first time I put it on. In addition, with the instructions printed right on the carrier I could just glance down to make sure I was doing everything correctly. It was super easy to put on. So I picked my son up, settled him into place and snapped the buttons -- without ANY help from my husband. This is fantastic, you can hook your child in virtually one handed. All the adjustments are made in the front, so you can also adjust the carrier with your baby in it. I just pulled on some straps and within a few seconds had Aidan positioned exactly the way the instruction manual said. Almost immediately I noticed how safe and secure Aidan felt. I leaned over, bent forward, knelt down, and I didn't feel him budge a bit. He seemed perfectly happy and safe strapped into the Bjorn (while kicking his legs like a madman).

I decided to walk around for a little while to see if it hurt my back (I have a horrible back), which was a major complaint I had with the New Native Sling. There was no back, neck or shoulder pain at all. The wide, cushioned straps seem to distribute his weight evenly so there is no tension on your shoulders or neck. I couldn't believe how lightweight and comfortable it felt on -- it was like my neck and back didn't realize I was carrying around an extra 14.5 lbs on my chest.

After a little stroll around the house I decided to test whether I could get him OUT of the carrier without disturbing him (like the website claimed). I leaned forward, so Aidan was resting on the floor, unsnapped a few clasps and viola, Aidan was released without me having to jostle him at all. You can also pick him up out of the carrier with very little effort. This carrier was starting to seem like a dream come true!

So what else do I like about it? For starters, it is completely adjustable. Why do I like that? Well, my New Native Sling is fitted directly to you, so your husband (or anyone else) can't wear it. If you want one for your husband, you have to shell out money for another carrier (which would bring the sling into the Baby Bjorn price range anyway!). However, the Baby Bjorn sling can adjust to anyone. It's easy to adjust as well, just put the baby in, adjust a few straps and it's ready to go. My husband LOVES the Bjorn, he totes Aidan around everywhere with it. My mom loves it, too. It doesn't even hurt her back and she weighs all of 100 lbs (and she's 60... shhh, don't tell anyone I told you that!).

Next, the Baby Bjorn grows with Aidan. It has a strap that can be adjusted as he gets taller. The strap is quick and easy to adjust, and it gives you instructions on when it is time to change the setting (the first setting is 21 - 23.5", second 23.5 - 26", third 26" - 35.5").

Finally, Aidan LOVES THIS THING! He would scream when I tried to place him in the New Native Sling, I don't think he liked the curled up position it kept him in... but he just smiles when I put him in the Baby Bjorn. He gets the closeness to mom (or dad or grandma...etc) combined with a bird's eye view of everything going on. I take him for walks in this every morning (about a mile every day) and he gets to see all the animals and birds moving around (we live in a fairly heavily forested area). When I would take him in the stroller, he could only really see me and that's not very interesting... Aidan would get bored and start to cry during the trek. The same thing would happen when I'd try to walk with him in the baby sling, but now he watches the trees and bushes move in the wind, the birds flying around and the water moving in the lake. He is constantly involved with watching the movement in the mornings, fascinated with everything. Plus he gets the added bonus of chewing on one of his favorite toys, the front of the carrier. He gets the experience of seeing everything I do, and I get the extra burn of walking a mile while packing close to 15 pounds onto my chest.

So, would you recommend this?

Oh heck YEAH I'd recommend this carrier. It is completely worth the retail price of $80

I've been using this every day for about a month and I must say, it's a lifesaver. The daily morning walks are so much more enjoyable with him strapped in this (as opposed to pushing a stroller in the street) and I have never experienced any back, neck or shoulder pain.

I've never had the fear that Aidan would fall out (which I felt quite often when he was in the sling). Even if I bend over, I know he's secured well enough that he won't budge.

Besides the price, what isn't there to love about this carrier? It's versatile enough that many members of the family can use it, it is comfortable to use, easy to put on/take off, and easy to adjust. There are instructions printed on the carrier that are clear and understandable (in addition to the printed instructions and the ones online!). It is machine washable and dries quickly. Aidan loves it, and I always feel he's safe and secure while being held in it. It seems like it would be safe even for the smallest baby with no neck control (because of the neck guard), even though Aidan was a little older when we bought ours.

I use it to carry him around while doing housework (he giggles insanely when I vacuum with him in the Bjorn), use it on walks, while walking through the mall -- basically I use it EVERYWHERE. This was the best $20 I've spent on Aidan so far -- and honestly, it would have been the best $80 I spent as well (if I had bought it at the store).

I can't truly comment on the durability of this carrier (because I've only had it for a month), but it had lasted the previous owner (who also LOVED it, her baby outgrew it) throughout the entire infancy... and it still looks BRAND NEW. I did a complete and thorough check of all the straps, buttons, and stitching before I bought it (I also watched the woman try it on and pull on various straps), and there was no wear and tear that I could see. She said she used it all the time with her little boy, and it really does look new. I could imagine this lasting not only through Aidan, but our next child as well.

I really couldn't see myself living without a Baby Bjorn Infant Carrier and I don't think you should either!

Pros
*Easy to put on/take off
*Easy to assemble
*Clear and concise instruction manual (directions also printed on carrier and online)
*Adjustable so other members of household can use it
*Baby can face in or out
*Grows with baby, height adjustable
*Easy to adjust while wearing
*Machine washable, fast drying
*Baby is very safe while riding in carrier
*Very comfortable to use, no back, neck or shoulder pain at all
*7 different patterns/colors to choose from

Cons
*To some people, the price... but honestly it IS WORTH IT!

Recommended:
Yes

Baby Bjorn Air Carrier Review. Warm Weather Baby Carrier

The Baby Bjorn Air Carrier helps keep you and baby cooler with soft 3D mesh, specially desinged for Baby Bjon. The fabric keeps baby cool and comfortable while providing vital closeness between parent and baby. As with other Baby Bjorn Baby Carriers, the Air Carrier can be used for newborns (at least 8lbs, with the safety strap) as well as for older babies (up to 25lbs). Newborns should be carried facing inward and older babies that can hold their heads up may be carried forward facing.

The baby Bjorn Air Carrier is easy to fold into the attached elastic bag and takes up very little space. The bag folds into an inside pocket when not in use.

Features:
* Built-in support for baby's head
* Extra-soft mesh is comfortable against baby's chin
* Wide padded shoulder straps for maximum comfort
* Rigid mesh along sides gives excellent stability
* Flexible 3D mesh great dissipates heat and moisture
* Up to 138% better heat flow and 30% better moisture flow than other carriers
* Carrier fits neatly into attached bag; bag folds into inside pocket when not in use

Age: birth +; up to 25lbs

At first, any of the Baby Bjorn carriers - or any baby carrier, for that matter, can be a little intimidating when you first get them out of the box. There seems to be a maze of straps and clips to adjust. Fortunately, the learning curve is short and it literally becomes two snaps and you're ready to go. The clips that secure your baby in the carrier have a locked mode and they just make a small clicking noise that lets you know they're properly fastened. Many other baby carriers won't have that reassuring click. The straps adjust and there's also an adjustable head rest. At first, it's a good idea to keep your baby's head closer to you upright and loosen the headrest or don't use it at all as the baby learns to hold its head up on its own. An added plus is that the sound of your heartbeat can often mean lights out for any infant in a matter of minutes, which can give you a must-needed rest while still having them close to you.

The Baby Bjorn Air Carrier folds up compactly. It's completely machine washable.

One important thought to note is that if you need a little more back support or plan to wear your carrier for extended periods of time, the Baby Bjorn Active Carrier adds lumbar and comfort. Though the Air Carrier is really comfortable, the Active Carrier is considered the better baby front carrier for longer hikes or running errands.

REVIEWS

great hot weather choice

Reviewer: Summer H. , Murfreesboro, TN
Highly recommend this version for hot summer temps, no worry about your baby overheating. I do miss the support that my Bjorn Active gives, but small price to pay for safety of our baby!

Reviewer: Epinions User , Guest
Pros: You can have your hands free while safely carrying your child. Cons: Backpack straps are a bit confusing at first but easy to figure out.

This Baby Bjorn Air Baby Carrier is great! I am able to carry my twins in it (one baby at a time, of course) nearly all day! They seem very comfortable in it & I feel that the design is geared around safety. There are several latches & hooks so if one were to fail you still have several more supporting the weight of your child. I believe the material is supposed to offer "breathe-ability" but after a while of carrying my child in it I still manage to sweat where the straps & baby lay, but not too badly. All-in-all, it was well worth the money.

Baby Bjorn Air Carrier Review

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/babycarrierwrapup/echK/~3/hA17IN7LvSY/baby-bjorn-air-carrier-review-warm.html" title="Baby Bjorn Air Carrier Review. Babywearing and Twins

I get asked all the time whether it is possible to wear two babies at once. For parents of twins (or more), not only is it possible, but being able to wear your babies can be a real sanity saver.

Starting out, if you’re not comfortable slinging two babies at once, just being able to wear one baby while you hold the other can give your arms a much-needed break. A pouch is a great way to get started babywearing, since they’re quick and easy to learn and use. Having one pouch for each parent is ideal.

One carrier is an necessity, but two carriers are definitely nice to have. The biggest advantage of having multiple carriers is that you can also tie one of the babies onto someone else (Dad, Grandma, etc.). That’s a really great way to get a little break!

Once you’re ready to wear two at once, here are some tips for making it work:

Newborn twins (up to 3 months or so):

Wearing young twins in the same
Ellaroo wrap: For teeny babies, you can wear two babies together in a ring sling, pouch or wrap. Twins often like being squished together in the same sling when they are very young, just like in the womb.

Wearing Two in a Ring sling or pouch: The adjustability of ring slings makes it easy to fit two in at once. It is also possible to do this in a pouch sling, but look for an adjustable pouch (such as Mamma’s Milk), or go up one size in a non-adjustable pouch (such as Hotslings) so that there is room for the babies to grow. There are lots of great pictures of wearing two in pouches and ring slings on Karen Gromada’s website.

Wearing Two in a Wrap: A stretchy wrap (such as the Moby Wrap or the semi-stretchy Gypsy Mama Bali Baby Stretch) works really well with newborn twins, but a woven wrap can be really great, too. (Ellaroo wrap shown in photo). In fact, a wrap such as the Gypsy Mama or the Ellaroo can be a great investment, because you will be able to use them through the twins’ toddlerhood as they get heavier.

Here are some useful instructions for wearing twins in a wrap:

Wearing twins together in a wrap (hug hold) - Note: the instructions shown use a Moby Wrap, but you could also use a Gypsy Mama Bali Baby Stretch for this hold.

Wearing twins together in a wrap (cradle hold) - Note: the instructions shown use a Moby Wrap, but you could also use a Gypsy Mama Bali Baby Stretch for this hold.

Wearing twins together in a wrap (cross carry): follow the instructions for the cross carry, and tuck a baby into the pocket at each hip

Older babies (3 months and on):
Once the babies are 10-12 pounds or so, most moms find that using two separate carriers to hold the babies is a better option. You can use two wraps, two pouches or ring slings, two mei tais, or a mix and match combo of any of these. Feel free to experiment with different carries and combinations – just be sure the babies are balanced on your body. For instance, you can do one baby on each hip in a ring sling or pouch (crossing the carriers over your body), or one on front/one on back in two mei tais or in a mei tai/wrap combination.

Two Pouches Two Wraps Mei Tai and Wrap

Even when out and about with your stroller, it is nice to keep one or two carriers tucked into the basket, in case on or both of the twins gets fussy.

Nursing in a baby carrier

Learning to nurse even one baby hands-free in a baby carrier can really be helpful. For two babies at once, your best bet is wearing a baby on each hip in two crossed ring slings. You can position a baby at each breast and nurse them in a double clutch hold.

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/babycarrierwrapup/echK/~3/78_-059fiJk/baby-carriers-for-twins-babywearing-for.html" title="Baby Carriers For Twins. It is intended for use particularly in the first few months and allows you to carry both babies together on your front. This not only enables you to give both babies closeness and physical contact but also facilitates many activities (shopping, going for walks) without having to take a big twin stroller along.

The Weego Twin can be used with your babies from birth. This allows the use of the Weego Twin with small premature babies, as well as older, heavier twins. (If you don't want to carry two babies together, consider our Weego Preemie Carrier or our Weego Baby Carrier for Singletons.) Depending on the weight and size of the babies, the carrier can be used until your twins are approximately 5-6 months old (to 20 pounds maximum combined weight).

The double pouch construction of the Weego Twin features an inner and outer pouch for each baby to make sure both babies are always secure, comfortable and cozy. The Weego Twin easily adjusts for growing babies and to fit different people carrying the babies.

Weego gives your baby the closeness, safety and security that is so important in the early years. And the hands-free design gives you the freedom to enjoy an active life while carrying your baby.

Babies love to be carried!

During pregnancy, the baby experiences the closeness to its mother through her heartbeat, motion and voice. After birth, the baby thrives through close physical contact. Giving your child this physical closeness as often as you can will contribute to happy and healthy development.

Scientific research proves that children carried frequently are not only more content and cry less but carrying also:

supports the bonding between parents and child,
promotes the development of personality and self-confidence,
supports the development of linguistic abilities and motor skills

The Weego Twin makes this closeness possible. It gives your babies the space to discover the world and leaves parents´ hands free to explore with them.

Carry your children as often as you can - you will contribute to their happy and healthy development!

Comfortably carry both babies

The double pouch design features an inner and outer pouch for each baby

Coziness deepens parent-infant bonding

Each baby feels secure

Both babies are comfortable

Enhances development

Stimulates babies’ senses

Especially designed for premature babies

For babies 0 to 6 months

Easily adjusts for growing babies

Fits mom and dad

Corrects parent’s posture

3 carrying positions

Machine washable - tumble dry

Made of light, navy cotton twill with blue and green plaid lining.

New Native Baby Carrier Questions and Answers

For this reason our carrier is a little more streamlined than many other carriers on the market. Also we believe our carrier feels safer and more secure for your baby since there are no buckles to slip and be readjusted. The New Native Baby Carrier is a loop that is a pocket. It is simple yet effective. It has a curve built into the bottom which holds the sides up on both sides of the baby making it possible to have both hands free. This shape also makes it possible to put a folded towel under your baby to prop your baby up. The main reason babies do not like slings at first is if they can not see out before they are able to sit up on their own. The second reason for an unhappy baby is that some babies want to move their legs more than a sling allows. With ours a towel can be arranged to allow for kicking room. Put the carrier on over one arm and your head, it is on with no fuss. Open it up and put your baby in. This is quick and easy. The strap is 10 inches wide so it does not cut into the shoulder. It is better on the parent’s back than many other carriers.

Q: Is there a weight limit?
A: Our baby carrier has a suggested weight limit of 35 pounds. Toddlers are usually 2 to 4 years old when they weigh 35 pounds and can be carried in a hip straddle position. The carrier works great for babies and toddlers, for older babies, put the seam on the hip and put baby’s legs on either side of your body, then slip the baby’s legs into the carrier, pull carrier up to center of babies back. For toddlers you can hold the child on your hip then slip the carrier on and over both of you, then slip under baby’s bottom to just under the back of the knees and up around her back or have her just slip into the carrier.

Q: Can I use the carrier right away with my new born?
A: Yes, the carrier is designed to be used from infancy up to 35lbs.
Because little babies like to be able to peek out of the carrier you can use our specially designed infant support pillow inside which supports the baby’s spine and allows baby to peek out. For smaller babies the pillow adds extra support and holds them up higher. The pillow also helps babies straighten out more, otherwise they tend to curl up in a natural fetal Position.
You can also try using a towel, small pillow or anything soft that he will not get tangled in to prop him up higher, while also opening up the space to create more room for his legs. The infant support pillow is used generally until the baby can hold his or her head up on her own.

Q: Can I use the carrier with a preemie?
A: Premature babies can be contact-carried right away with a New Native® Baby Carrier. Please check with your doctor for contraindications and proper positioning in response to certain health complications. Many parents choose to purchase our infant support pillow to help with positioning. The infant support pillow supports the baby’s spine and helps the baby to peek out of the carrier more easily.

Q: How many months can I expect to use the infant support pillow?
A:The infant support pillow can be useful until your baby is around 5 months old and able to hold his head up by himself and sit up on his own. The length of use also depends on how your baby carrier fits you. If your carrier is fitting on the high and tight side, the pillow may lift your baby up too high in the carrier. If the carrier hangs lower down on your torso it is more likely that there will be room for both your baby and the pillow inside the carrier. In sizing the carrier, the best range for it to hang with the baby in it is when the bottom of the carrier is no higher than your belly button and no lower than the bend where your leg and hip meet. If your carrier is towards the lower end of this range the pillow can be useful. A folded towel can also be used from your baby’s bottom up to the back of his head. You may wish to try that first before buying the pillow.

Q: Can the carrier be used with twins?
A: Usually people with twins get two carriers, one for each baby. This is very comfortable for the parent when wearing both babies because each baby can be worn on opposite sides distributing the weight in a very balanced fashion. When the babies are new they can be worn together in the same carrier. The babies can be worn in one carrier for approximately four months or until their weight combined approaches the recommended weight limit of 35lbs.

Q: Why is the carrier non adjustable?
A: Our carrier is non adjustable so it will be comfortable for the parent and safe for the baby. Our carrier is more comfortable because there are no buckles or rings to cut into your shoulder and its cooler in the summer time since there isn’t a bunch of extra fabric and padding to get in the way. We believe our carrier is safer and more secure for your baby since there are no buckles to slip and be readjusted. Our affordable prices allow each parent to have the size that works best.

Q: Do people need to get a second carrier for when the baby gets bigger?
A: Most people only need one carrier from infancy up to 35lbs. However, some parents use more than one size for versatility with different carrier positions. The cradle position can be worn with a larger carrier especially with a bigger baby, and a smaller carrier is used to secure an older baby on your hip in an upright position.

Q: How do I breast feed my baby in the New Native® Baby Carrier?
A: Line the babies head and face up to the breast you wish to nurse your baby with. Next, pull your shirt up and pull the carrier down on the side closest to you and support the baby’s head with your hand or elbow. Lift your baby to your breast. Pull the outside fabric of the carrier up if you wish to be discreet. For an older baby that can sit up on his or her own you may not need to support their head with your elbow or hand.

Q: Is there a way or trick to breastfeed on both breasts when using the sling?
A:To nurse your baby on both sides:
When your baby is placed with baby’s head on your left side with the carrier over your left shoulder you can hook your baby up to your left breast in the cradle hold. Support the baby’s head and body with your left hand and arm. To nurse on the right side, lift your baby’s weight with your left hand, grip the carrier with your right hand and slide the carrier around to your right until the baby’s head is in position to nurse on your right breast in the football hold position. Support your baby’s head with your right hand and body with your arm. You can also have the carrier on your right shoulder and do the same thing in the opposite direction. Please call if you need more help with this.

Q: What is the difference between Organic and regular cotton?
A: Both our organic and regular fabrics are high quality fabrics.
Our organic cotton carriers are made from cotton that has been grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers. Conventional growing methods deplete and toxify the soil, water, and air which compromises the health of humans and animals. Organic growing methods actually replenish the soil with vitamins and minerals to promote sustainability.
Likewise, the organic fabrics are processed without the use of toxic chemicals which are commonly discharged directly into our water supply with conventional processing methods. The methods and materials used in growing organic cotton are low impact on the environment and help to build and sustain biologically diverse agriculture. These improved industry standards care for our precious environment and help to promote a healthy future for generations to come.

Q: Does this company have a program for low income families?
A: Our Friend’s of Bonding program helps to subsidize carriers for low income families. Friend’s of Bonding is a group of people who, through their own experiences or observations, understand the value of increased parent-child bonding. The New Native® Baby Carrier is an especially effective tool that promotes bonding through contact carrying. Friend’s of Bonding encourages all forms of loving contact between parent and child, including traditional arm carrying and the use of similar sling-type carriers. Members of the Friends of Bonding community contribute time, effort or money to help parents who are less fortunate and may not be able to afford a carrier.
Please give us a call for more information. We are available Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm PST, at (831) 476-8114, or toll free 1-800-646-1682

Q: Are factory Seconds safe for babies?
A: Our Factory seconds are all inspected fully and are repaired securely. We only sell carriers that are structurally sound and safe for babies. The most common flaw is a “zigzag stitch” Which is where we have reinforced the fabric so it won’t become weak with use.

Q: Can my husband and I both wear the same carrier?
A: Because body dimensions vary greatly from person to person, most parents should be fitted for his or her own carrier. Occasionally some couples with a similar above the bust chest measurement can share the same carrier.

Q: Can people with back problems wear your carrier?
A: Many people with back problems have used our carrier successfully because our carrier distributes the weight evenly from shoulder to hip. The carrier strap which spreads across the parent’s shoulder is ten inches wide and covers a broad area across the shoulder. If the carrier is fitted correctly and the baby is hanging in the center of the parent’s body the carrier should feel very comfortable.

Baby K’tan Carrier Review

The unique patent pending design consists of two loops of fabric connected with a sliding support band. Parents can stylishly carry their babies in 8 comfortable positions, while freeing up their hands to tend to other tasks or other children. Babies can be snuggled and breastfed in the Cradle and Explore positions. They can also be carried upright, facing in or out, and as they get older, they can be carried on your hip.

We chose to carry our son on the hip, which is very comfortable for both him and us. I actually noticed that he loved being in that position so much that he cuddled in and seemed more at ease as we walked through the mall. I even had parents approach me and ask me which carrier I was using because it is hard to find a product that will accommodate a child his age.

It takes some practice, to learn how to configure the loops so that you have them in the right spot for each position. With some patience you will find ones you will love and never forget them.
If you are still need some extra help, a complete ‘loop by loop’ instruction is available for each position at the company’s website with video for extra reference.

This carrier is unique because it is not a one size fits all product. The site has a sizing chart to help parents determine which size is right for you. It is very important that you get a Baby Carrier with the optimal fit, so that you and your baby are comfortable and secure.

The snug fit not only keeps your baby close, but it supports them in ways in which they need to be supported in order for them to develop properly.

Cool Baby K’tan™ Facts:

Only baby carrier of it’s kind that allows you to carry twins at the same time
Perfect for Dad’s because it comes in ‘manly’ fabrics and extra large sizes
Discreet breast feeding is possible when the baby is in the cradle position and the second loop is pulled over for privacy
Parents have more options for baby wearing than any other product including positions called the hug, the two hip, the adventure, the back and explore
Comes with matching hat and sash, with personalization available
Over the phone support is available for parents who need help with positioning and sizing
This carrier has impressed me more than any other baby wearing product I have tried because of its versatility. Your options are endless, which will come in handy when your child is being fussy.

Available at babyktan.com in 9 colors/patterns for $57.75 for solid colors and $62.99 for patterns

Feel Good Bonus: A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of every Baby K’tan™ Baby Carrier will be allocated to the American Heart Association and to help fund education, medical research, advocacy programs, and promotion of awareness and inclusion for individuals and families living with Down syndrome.

Baby K'tan Wraps. Baby K'tan Slings

Wearing your child will result in beneficial, permanent brain changes, enhancing baby's IQ, in addition to long term benefits of good health, psychological security and independence, according to studies done by Lozoff & Brittenham, 1979, Meyer & Anderson, 1999 & Hunziker and Barr's,1986.

The industry has coined it "the year of the sling" with so many carriers on the market. The Baby K'tan Baby Carrier, however, is the first carrier to combine all the essential qualities the others offer plus more! Allowing you to wear and nurse your baby without hassles, twisted material, hardware or confusing attachments, while at the same time offering enhanced security.

Get rid of the wrapping! Bye bye to the buckles, and sayonara to the snaps! It's time to get your hands on the baby carrier that's both highly recommended by medical experts for special needs babies and raved about by parents of all babies.

Perfect for preemies, babies with developmental delays, and even twins, the Baby K'tan is an exceptionally secure cross between a soft sling and a structured front carrier.

There is no other baby carrier like it.

That's why you've seen us featured on The Today Show and in Redbook, The Miami Herald, Urban Baby, iVillage, South Florida Business Journal, Parent & Family, MetroKids, and next month in Fit Pregnancy. We've been voted "Best Dad Carrier" by GreatDads.com and received Creative Child Magazine's 2007 Seal of Excellence.

Actress Sara Gilbert, nominated for two Prime Time Emmys, loves the Baby K'tan and uses it all the time to carry her baby!

Andrew S. Rubin, PhD, child psychologist & professor in child development and infant mental health at NSU, states "studies have proven that wearing your baby will facilitate mental growth and development, and using a Baby K'tan will promote the carrying for much longer due to its versatile functionality, ease of use & strength limit, as compared to the other carriers on the market."

The secret behind Baby K'tan's unparalleled ease, security, and comfort is its unique two-loop design, which allows parents to carry their infants and toddlers (from birth to 4 years old) in eight different positions. Available in solids, tie dyes, and prints, every Baby K'tan also has a built-in back support band to keep mom and dad as comfortable as baby.

And we're not just about comfort: every Baby K'tan comes with a matching baby hat and
Sash, and soon to include an original children's book!

The Baby K'tan Baby Carrier was developed by two couples, each raising three kids in Florida. One family has a child with Down's syndrome and the other has a child who required heart surgery when he was four weeks old. The four parents - a day trader, a biologist, an aeronautics salesman, and an attorney -- were driven to invent Baby K'tan when none of them could find an existing baby carrier that suited their babies' needs.

The Baby K'tan team proudly devotes a percentage of its proceeds to the American Heart Association and to organizations that assist individuals and families living with Down syndrome.

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/babycarrierwrapup/echK/~3/-hu5_B0ep88/baby-ktan-wraps-baby-ktan-slings-great.html" title="Baby K'tan Wraps.
