It’s fun to see little kids in their costumes. Dolls, superheroes, action figures – a parade of adorable superstars! However, do know that babies have very delicate and sensitive skin. Anything applied to it can cause allergic reaction.

Makeups have certain components that cause skin irritation. So, if it causes you itch and allergies, what more on your babies. You can use the most hypoallergenic product but doctors still advise to stay clear from airbrush makeup kit or anything like that for now.

Costumes will work and I believe that babies’ natural glow can work without any makeup.

At most times, this little tube with flat panel stand becomes a substitute for the mother and father’s attention. Admit it or not, but  you use it to keep the children quiet just so you could continue on what you are doing. “But much of it seemed educational, right? Teaching alphabet and all..“

Based on research and study, for babies, what they see on television are just a vast array of colors and pictures with noise. They really do not understand what’s in there, especially if every scene spans for only 5-10 seconds tops.

Moreover, time spent in front of the television will take away the natural learning process of your child. At that young age, he should start developing his physical, mental, and emotional areas on more healthy activities.

“So, are you saying that I should forbid my baby to watch television?”

Well, not really. There are programs that allow your kids to be brain-fed. Some of it provides a wider view of the world such as animals,etc. As parents, you only need to be more vigilant on what are you going to feed your child mentally. Also, since television can be addictive, set a specific time for tv watching (ex. 30 minutes per day).

Whether you live in a big house with arch steel building or in a shabby unit, keeping your place free from any potential dangers makes it a safe environment for your baby.

With the young one’s drive to explore the world, make sure that all pointed objects or anything that can choke should be kept out of his reach. Build a gate or fence for the pool area. Electric plug sockets should be well covered. Use anti slam devices to avoid getting his finger crushed.

Lastly, provide a wide space for him to play around. Let him feel free but don’t leave him alone.

These are just some of the things you should consider on doing. Other things to be considered are based on common sense. If in doubt, kneel on the floor, on your child’s level, to give you a better perspective of what could be dangerous for him.

Parents can tell that at these age, babies are very curious about everything. They want to discover new things through touching, sucking, and listening. One advise is to give them bright-colored toys, leaning more on the primary colors. Also, toys should be easy for them to handle.

• Lullaby CD’s they can listen to
• Teethers – one they can suck
• Rattles – very entertaining because it responds to the baby’s actions

Today, as technology progress, there has been many changes with the way toys are made, specifically designed to meet the baby’s needs, so, there are a lot for you to choose from. Don’t hand him toys like slick trick  yet. He’ll just swallow it.

A child’s brain is like a sponge, so as early as possible, parents should develop their child’s potential. Arts, music, problem-solving skills, and so on.

If he love’s music, give him something that he can use as an outlet for that talent. Toy piano, mic, and a music video he can sing to. Of course, it is advisable to let him stay clear of electronics like Nady, speakers, etc.

Now, if he’s into arts, give him safe crayons and a large paper where he can draw around without compromising your house walls and floor.

You might also want to provide for puzzles and other toys where he can exercise his problem-solving skills.

As long as your baby isn’t sensitive to so many things, you can have have fun and explore new grounds in other places (playgrounds, parks, etc.) aside from the four corners of your home.

Playgrounds has sandboxes that you and your kid might enjoy. First, check the sand for any unwanted debris or broken glass. Then, gently  put the baby inside and let him feel the sand. Provide colorful shovels, buckets and other PlaytimeUS.com childrens playground equipment he can use.

The slide. Let him stand on his feet while you holding him on the sides. Slide him gently down the slope. See if he enjoys the feeling. If not, you can  go for next play tools.

Achoo! The nose is one of the hardest baby part to clean. That is why it’s also taken for granted by most parent. It’s obvious that they cannot blow their own nose so they need someone or a tool to remove their mucus and prevent discomfort and other infection. Okay, cotton buds and tissues won’t do the job, so what’s the best alternative? Baby Nasal Aspirator.

Kinds of Baby Nasal Aspirator:

• Bulb syringe baby nasal aspirator –  You need to squeeze the bulb to push out all the air then gently place the tip inside the baby’s nose. Slowly release the bulb to suck the mucus out. Clean the tip with lukewarm water then repeat the procedure.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to bathe your baby:

Things needed:

• Warm water (about 37 degrees C)
• Bowl/Tub good enough for the baby
• Sponge or wash cloth
• Mild baby soap
• Clean dry towel

Bath Process

• Remove the baby’s clothes.  Hold them closely and make them feel secure as you do this. Talk to your baby as you do this to make him feel comfortable
• Fill the tub with warm water just enough for him to stay in it with his shoulders well covered.
• Place the baby in the tub and support his head and neck with the other hand
• Start washing his face, neck and down to the bottom and then back. Use a very mild baby soap
• Once done, wrap him in a dry towel  and gently pat him dry
• Put him on a clean diaper and baby clothes
