Olivia is just entering the stage where she is learning to grasp and hold onto her toys. She is absolutely in love with her Sophie the Giraffe and a few other rattles. However, her grip is not very tight yet and she drops her toys all the time. This poses a problem when she is in her carseat, riding in the ergo, or in the stroller. If she drops her toy on the ground, that's it, game over. Thankfully, I was sent a Couture Clip Luxe Toy Holder for review. This came in great handy for our girls trip to the Oregon Coast!

We were sent the Couture Clip Luxe Toy Holder in Pink Organic Cotton. It came packaged on a lovely card with a logo, ready for gift-giving.

It has a little, linen label (say that five times fast!) and the tether is hand stitched onto the strap for durability. The fabric is a beautiful organic pointelle knit cotton. It's super soft!

The clip has soft plastic teeth on the inside which is super nice because then it doesn't damage any of the cute clothes you hook it onto and helps to grip better so the clip isn't pulled loose.

Sophie is right at home with her new Couture Clip. She didn't want to get lost.

Olivia and Sophie played in the carseat nicely without being thrown overboard (or out the window, if you have an active toddler.) This is also great because you don't have to reach around in the backseat for the toy your baby has dropped, enabling you to keep your eyes on the road!

Sophie got to go on walks on the beach with Olivia and I without the risk of being washed away with the tide or being stolen by a hungry seagull. They really will eat anything! Pardon the picture of Sophie looking like she is at the gallows. It was worth it not to lose her. It doesn't look quite so odd when your child is actively chewing on the toy instead of sleeping. Hehe!

Sophie got to go with us to Cannon Beach, Oregon and see the famous Haystack Rock.

Farm Rich Snacks and Appetizers

With two boys in football and a massive amount of calories being burned on a daily basis, our grocery bill is sky high! We don't have a lot of time before practice and games after school, so I need something quick and nutritious to feed these hungry kids and tide them over until dinner.

While I was gone one evening, my husband saw the Mozzarella Sticks and decided to make them for the boys. Hip Huggers One Size Pocket Diaper

This beautiful, purple One Size Pocket diaper from Hip Huggers is the newest diaper I have received for review. It is part of their Rockin' Baby line which features lovely fluff hand-painted with super cute designs.

Our diaper has black angel wings on the back.

They are even flecked with glitter. Love!!! For those of you that are wondering, the glitter hasn't washed off even after multiple trips through the washer.

The inside of the diaper is lined with a soft polyester that doesn't pill and keeps baby dry. It has a soft bamboo soaker pad that really holds the moisture! Livvy wore her diaper for 4 hours with no leaks whatsoever! The soaker was really wet when I took it off her, but her skin was dry and the diaper did not leak.

Hip Huggers diapers can be machine washed and dried which is a definite bonus for us busy moms.

It has two levels of snaps for the rise adjustment. And has overlapping wings for skinny babies. Even with the soaker in place the diaper is still very trim and her pants fit great over it. I cannot say this about most cloth diapers!

Livvy wears hers on the smaller setting. She is about 15 lbs and 28 inches long, so you can get an idea of how the Hip Huggers fit.

Her little angel butt is so cute!!!

Fuzzibunz Elite One Size Pocket Diaper

The choice made to cloth diaper our daughter was an easy one. Disposable diaper costs are rising, not to mention the time it takes for one, let alone thousands, to break down in a landfill. My husband and I did not use cloth diapers with our older sons, but in the last few years, they seem to have become the "in" thing to do. Getting into it, I looked for easy-to-use diapers and my sister, who has cloth diapered her son for two years, was a big help. She loves Fuzzibunz. When I got the opportunity to review one, I jumped on it!

I was sent the Fuzzibunz Elite One Size Pocket Diaper in Strawberry to review. It retails for $15.95, which is a great price for a cloth diaper. Since it is a pocket diaper, it needs to be stuffed with the inserts.

It has a super-soft Microfleece inner that surprisingly does not pill when washed. I hate the feel of the pilly fleece inners on Sunbaby pockets. Each Fuzzibunz diaper comes with two buttery-smooth minky doublers. I love these so much better than the microfiber and I think it will help cut down on the "stinkies" that microfiber often gets. It also comes with extra elastic in case the one in the diaper happens to break down.

The diaper is fully adjustable on the inside with elastic at the waist and leg openings. There are little numbers at each buttonhole on the elastic.

The numbers on the elastic correspond to the numbers on the chart, which according to the size of your baby, make it very easy to find the right fit!

Each diaper has a serial number, so you can register for your lifetime warranty on the snaps! Since the snaps are the first thing to go usually, this is awesome.

The diaper fit great around her waist and thighs. She actually was able to wear it for about 4 hours with no leaks the first time we tried it. Just remember, the key to preventing first-time leaks is proper prepping. I washed my diaper once and the inserts twice. I then tested the inserts for absorbency by running water over them to see if it absorbed or repelled the moisture.

Love the Fluff butt!

Having two older sons in football this fall, we are very busy. My husband and I have tons of gear to pack across fields and parking lots to get to the bleachers where they play. Having a baby, we also have baby stuff to carry too. The stroller is the most effective way to get her and her stuff to where we need to be but tends to get bogged down with the diaper bag, blankets, water bottles and camera bags. Loading up the stroller can be dangerous because the likelihood for it tipping backwards is very great when the back end is weighed down by all of our gear.

This is where the Hamster Buggy Bags have come in great handy! They evenly distribute the weight of our stuff, keeping our stroller steady and our daughter safe.

They come in a pack of two, one for each side of the stroller.

Each of them folds into it's own little bag with a carrying handle.

You simply attach each bag to the stroller frame with the three fully-adjustable straps. If the bags are empty, you can leave them attached to the stroller when you fold it up. If they are full, you can detach the bag using the clips on each strap, so you don't have to unpack the bag every time you are done using the stroller. The Buggy Bags fit on just about any kind of stroller, even older models such as my 8-year-old Graco. Although I have found that I need to unclip the strap in the middle so I can fold the stroller with the bags attached. No big deal, and I am sure that it is only because my stroller is ancient and gargantuan!

It has a small zip pocket on the outside perfect for your cell phone and keys, as well as a large outer zipper which gives you access to the entire interior of the bag. The inside also has a small mesh pocket for little things you may want to keep separate, such as binkies or snacks. Each bag can hold up to six pounds of supplies per the manufacturer. The bags would also be very helpful on shopping trips, allowing you to stuff them with your purchases, keeping your stroller frame free of shopping bags and safe from crowds. I plan on using them with my stroller on our October shopping trip to the Oregon Coast and next year on our trip to Disneyland.

Hulabye Happy Changer Review and Giveaway

My daughter is a little wiggle worm. Whenever I lay her on the changing table, she either tries to push herself backwards off of it by using her feet to scoot or she rolls from side to side with her legs in the air. This makes for a difficult diaper changing experience to say the least, not to mention dangerous! I was so happy when I stumbled upon the Hulabye Happy Changer because it looked like it could be the answer to my problem.

I told the folks at Hulabye that my daughter's nursery was pink, aqua and white and that they could send any color, pattern and fabric type they wanted. Upon opening my package, I noticed it was beautifully wrapped and would have made a ready-to-give present perfect for a shower or a new momma. It looked so pretty, I almost hesitated to unwrap it! Almost.

I love that there are instructions with illustrations incorporated into the gift wrapping as well. They show you exactly how to use the Happy Changer so there is no confusion. For the purpose of the review, I was sent Soft Pink in the Minky Solids Collection.

The Hulabye Happy Changer is a vest of sorts that Velcros around your changing pad which you then lay your baby on top of, slip their arms through the holes and velcro back around their waist. The Happy Changer keeps them in place on the changing table rather than rolling around or reaching down to their diaper area. If you've ever had a child that does this, you know the potential for a hazardous situation in the event of a messy diaper!

The Velcro closure on the front is quite adjustable and seems like it would also fit a toddler as well as a smaller baby, too.

The Velcro panel on the back is a huge strip and is very sticky.

The wide panel allows it to fit best on all 16" contoured changing pads per the manufacturer.

You can see that Hulabye did a fantastic job of matching our little girls room! I really love how super soft the vest is! And guess what girls? It's Machine washable! Gentle cycle is best and tumble dried. Just make sure you attach all Velcro pieces so as not to snag other items.

When I put the Happy Changer on the changing pad I found that it fits perfectly. There was no slipping around or detaching.

Livvy didn't mind one it one bit. I really think she felt safer with it on. Like a big hug! I felt comfortable using both hands to change her with, as opposed to holding her in place with one hand and changing her with the other. The Happy Changer definitely made our changing experience easier!

Now she can't roll side to side or wiggle her way off the back end of the changing table.

Livvy really loved playing with Le Bibble while it was on her bottle. She is normally breastfed, so she only gets a bottle once and a while when I pump. Lilla Rose Flexi Clip Review and Giveaway

One of the down sides of being a stay-at-home mom, especially during the summer, is that there is really no reason to put on make-up or do your hair in a cute style on a daily basis. I don't have to get up early to take the kids to school, so no one sees what I look like. I figure, as long as I run a brush through my hair, I did a good thing! I hate to spend a lot of time getting ready and with three kiddos (one of which is an infant) it's hard to do anyway. The flat iron only touches my hair if I have a date with my husband. This being said, I, like all women, love to feel pretty!

I was very excited when Carrie contacted me to do the review for Lilla Rose! For the purpose of this review, I received two Flexi Clips in a medium and large size. Honestly, I didn't expect much opening the package, because I have tried a ton of different clips and no clip is ever strong enough to hold all of my heavy, super-thick hair. Holding it in my hand for the first time, I realized this clip is very different than most others. It is actually made of metal and is decorated with pretty beading. The Flexi looks very similar to a hair decoration from the 70's. A leather band with a stick that passes through it to hold the hair. I've tried those, they don't work for me! The Flexi takes this concept and builds on it. The pin is attached to the clip itself for easy, one-handed use. Simply put the pin under the hair and slide the loop over it. The loop catches on one of three notches under the pin and stays securely in place.

Upon putting the clip in my hair for the first time, I realized I never knew what I was missing until I found it! The Flexi Clip holds MY hair! It didn't feel loose or feel like my hair was slipping out of the clip. My hair stays where I put it. ALL DAY! How amazing is that?

I should also tell you that I have a sensitive head when it comes to hair accessories. Molded headbands give me headaches. Ponytail holders give me headaches. Bobby Pins give me headaches (when I have a ton in my hair in an updo.) The Flexi Clip does NOT give me a headache! I have been wearing it on a daily basis for over a week now, and not once have I gotten a headache from wearing it.

Safety and comfort. Two words that come to mind when I think about what I need for my baby to sleep at night. I need to make sure she will be safe in her cradle. The zipper opens all the way to the other side and the shoulders unsnap for wake-free dressing. To me, this is 100% unique, and I love this feature.

Each one has a slightly different hand-sewn patch to make it unique and special. This version is lighter weight and made from 70% bamboo viscose and 30% cotton so it is super-duper soft! The fabric is pre-shrunk, so you know that it won't look wonky when you pull it from the dryer. The bamboo Gunapod is also antibacterial, breathable, moisture-wicking and eco-friendly. There are no paid product placements and each product is recommended and reviewed by real moms, so you know you are getting a good thing! Sew Sweet Tag Blankie & Tag Monster Review and Giveaway

I was thrilled with the opportunity to review the new Night Owl Tag Blankie and Spike Tag Monster from Sew Sweet with Olivia. Sew Sweet is a company based out of Canada that makes personalized baby blankets, birthday blankets, pillowcases and tag blankies. The awesome bonus part? They are all handmade! So you know that every item is made especially for your little one!

When we opened our package, the first thing I noticed about these blankies was their vivid color and how super-soft they are. The ribbons are very bright and silky. Olivia is into chewing on her blankies right now, and with the snuggly texture and buttery-softness of the minky, these blankies are perfect for her.

The "Night Owl" design is very cute, with bright yellow, orange, turquoise and brown owls. The ribbons coordinate perfectly with the owl design.

I am still breastfeeding Olivia, but we would like to give her a bottle of pumped milk every now and then so she won't reject the bottle when we decide to wean.

She latched on to this bottle much quicker than the first bottle we ever gave her, so I considered that a good sign. However the nipple kept collapsing on it and I'd have to pull it out of her mouth to let the air out. I finally decided to take the lid off to check out the valve for the air vent and found it was stuck shut. The instructions for the bottle say to make sure the valve is able to open and close properly, so I squeezed it and it still wouldn't open. I then decided to blow air into it from the outside. After that, it functioned properly. I think it must have just dried shut when I washed it. We had no problems with nipple collapse after I fixed the valve and Livvy fell asleep when her bottle was empty!

I am glad we were given the opportunity to try out the Closer to Nature Bottles. They work really well, and as far as I can tell, perform in every aspect that the manufacturer says they will. We will definitely continue to use them!

Tommee Tippee's website provides breastfeeding support and advice on topics such as going back to work, and what Dad can do to help. It also offers The Day Baby Was Born, a free service that gathers information and compiles it into a digital storybook about the day your child was born.

Tommee Tippee's Closer to Nature line has 4 stages of Chewthers, teething toys designed by a pediatric dentist to help support muscle coordination, lip seal and jaw development. They also help alleviate the pain of teething and the textured surfaces help care for fragile new teeth. I was given a Stage 2 and Stage 3 Chewther for review.

The Stage 2 Chewther is for ages 4 months + and helps prepare your baby to chew pureed foods. Just what she needs to get ready for her first feeding! It is very oddly shaped, and I worried about it gagging my baby, but when I put it in Livvy's mouth, she started biting on it and smiling all the while. She is just a bit too young to get this Chewther to her mouth by herself, but she holds it in her hand when I put it there, and I am sure that as her coordination gets better, she will be able to do it on her own.

The Stage 3 Chewther is for ages 6 months + and helps prepare your baby to chew mushy foods. It looks just like a set of brightly-colored keys, and we all know how much babies love chewing on keys! I have no doubt that the Stage 3 Chewther will be a good replacement for our dirty, germy car keys when Olivia gets to that age. The keys look like they might be hard, but after touching them, they have a nice, rubbery texture to them that feels soft enough for baby's mouth. Tommee Tippee's Chewthers are BPA-free and come in bright colors that are appealing to baby. Pink and Purple for girls and Blue and Green for boys or gender neutral. They retail for $6.99 at Babies R Us.

Pregnancy can be a beautiful time for women, but let's face it, after the baby comes, most of us feel like we don't look our best! I knew when I was pregnant with Livvy that I would need a pick-me-up after she was born. What I wanted was a little post-baby sexiness, and what could be better than a lacy, shimmering nursing bra! My chest was about the only thing I felt looked good about me after the birth of my daughter. I had a squishy, floppy, empty tummy and the most gigantic boobs I had ever had in my life! I say:

This bra makes me feel pretty! It's very comfortable. The straps don't dig into my shoulders and it has six adjustable hooks in the back for when you start to lose weight and need to tighten it up. It has full cups, which means when you open the cup, there is a kind of "sling" around your whole breast. It doesn't have under wire, but that doesn't compromise the support at all. It has black lace cups and black mesh sides with lavender straps and accents.

I absolutely love this bra, so much in fact, I bought another.

Picture Perfect in Champagne and Midnight. Retails for $58. I bought mine on Keekoo for $35.99.

I say:

This bra has wider, slightly padded satiny straps and six rows of hooks in the back for adjustment. It has cream colored mesh sides and formed satin and lace cups as well as a flexible under wire.

This is not a push up bra, but man, does it get those girls up there! Talk about support! It has half cups, which means that when you open the cup it folds down and there is no "sling" around the breast. This brings me to my next point. Due to the contoured nature of the cup, it is hard to fold down the cup and get it out of baby's way when she nurses. Not a deal breaker for me, but I think that a side-opening cup would have been a better choice for this bra.

That being said, I really do adore my Hot Milk nursing bras and would recommend them to all you pregnant and nursing mamas. Hot Milk has lots of other bras, as well as a full line of maternity panties to match and beautiful lingerie, as well. Check out their site today, you won't be disappointed!

JJ Cole Norah Diaper Bag

I was lucky enough to receive the JJ Cole Norah Diaper Bag in Boysenberry Fleur from my mom as a shower gift. I was so excited when I saw this bag. I had never seen a diaper bag that was actually pretty! When I had my boys, diaper bags were boring and made from crinkly plastic, so I used backpacks instead. Still boring, but at least not not plastic. When I saw this, I was in diaper bag heaven! It is comfortable to carry (I just use the handles) and light-weight. I was actually asked in Costco the other day where I got my beautiful "purse!" The lady was shocked when I told her it was a diaper bag!

Beautiful "leather" trim and handles. "D" rings for the detachable shoulder strap. The Re-Run exterior fabric keeps six plastic bottle out of the land-fill. The Norah is also PVC and Teflon free!

Two roomy side pockets with clasp closures.

The inside features one large pocket and two smaller pockets in a beautiful silver lining. The large is just the right size for the fold-able changing pad. The inside is water-resistant.

Extremely roomy without being too large. I fit ten size 1 diapers, a travel wipes case, a large swaddling blanket, two extra outfits, diaper rash cream, infant gas drops, pain reliever drops, 3 burp rags, the changing pad, and a pack of diaper disposal bags. That's just on the inside!

The fold-able changing pad is large enough for a toddler and made from the same soft material as the diaper bag lining. It is also washable. Bonus, because you know that your baby will pee on it or worse!

The changing pad folds into a nice little rectangle with a Velcro closure that fits into it's own pocket inside the diaper bag.

Included accessories: changing pad, removable shoulder strap and stroller straps. The stroller straps attach to the stroller and the bag, so you don't have to stash it underneath, making it easily accessible.

The bottom of the bag features five metal feet to prevent scratching the bag.

The Norah comes in 5 different color and pattern options and retails on the JJ Cole website for $109. However, you can snag it on Amazon for $66! The other pattern options may be more or less.

As with any new company, they are still ironing the kinks out, but that is to be expected.

This month in her box, Olivia received 11 items (we had 3 replacement items from last month.) Our awesome stylist hit the nail on the head. I loved every piece of clothing we received. We got 2 awesome Baby Lulu dresses. Baby Lulu by Erin Murphy was introduced to me through Wittlebee, and I can honestly say it is my favorite brand of clothing for Liv now! The pieces are really soft and pretty and have all kinds of embellishments on them. We also received a Pink striped Teddy Boom Jumper, a pink Bon Bebe Jumper with matching polka dot shorts, an orange Carter's jumper and matching pink heart leggings, a rumble tumble strawberry romper with matching polkadot skirt. And to top it all off, an aqua and white striped, velvety-soft Luca Charles tank and black eyelet Tea Collection leggings! Our stylist totally spoiled us this month! Back in February, I stumbled upon a picture of a beautiful baby bath pillow shaped like a flower that I knew I had to have for my little Olivia. I think my heart skipped a beat, literally! This was the cutest thing I had ever seen! Why did I not think of this???!!! I scoured Google without knowing what this product was called or who made it. I used tons of descriptions and finally found the Blooming Bath. I had to have this. Fortunately, I received one as a shower gift, although I was fully prepared to buy one had I not.

I have had so many compliments on my Blooming Bath. The first thing that people notice about it is the bright color (pink , of course!) and how soft it is! My little one loves her Blooming Bath. She doesn't slide around at all and her head is protected from the hard sides of the sink, freeing up both my hands to wash her with. It also cushions her skin from the cold metal and helps her to stay warm during her bath. I had other bath sponges with my older sons that got cold spots in them and made the boys miserable! Another great thing I love about Blooming Bath is it's extended use. You can also use it in the tub as the baby gets older and as a bath pillow for Mama after that!

Everyone has to start somewhere so this is it! When I had my oldest son 11 years ago and my youngest son 7 years ago, they didn't have anywhere near the awesome products for babies and moms that they do now. I have a new baby again, so I am determined to try out all these fun new things! This is an adventure in product reviews for me.
