The future bass label CAR CRASH SET has just released the debut album of a mysterious mexican producer called MEKHA. Actually unknown, he should get by means of his project the full attention of inquiring minds & underground music lovers. Indeed this sublime album entitled “Conscious” represents a large diversity of sounds : dubstep, minimal, electronica, dub, ambient, bass music. All these add some great shades of grey to the MEKHA’s dark production. For as much it’s not so apocalyptic like the introduction track let us think, everyone will find the reminiscence of human feelings floating in that menacing industrial environment. The package contains 9 tracks well produced, 4 original mixes along with 5 remixes signed by DSVE HOSX, KUPA, D.M.R., MHV & The RAGING SEA …and it’s pretty rare to not be mentioned, every remix is a total sucess giving a more hybrid dynamic to the “straight” originals. As so far, the ‘Conscious’ album is simply the best original soundtrack of this early 2012… Hotly Recommended!

The rare thing always appreciated coming from the old music concepts, it’s to be able to distribute o.n.l.y his best poductions whatever the ways to release : freebie, digital, vinyl… DEEMPHASIS is actually one of new electro producers to keep this old & great method while mixing his tasty dark signature…All that made him in a good move to acess to the top level of this music niche. Therefore, we are glad to see him releasing a new 2 tracks E.P on the fresh label SHAMELESS TOADY and if you are a dark electro lover, these tunes will probably find a place in your selection (between GRAGEE’s track and a track from the GALAXIAN debut album for example)… Recommended!

In a good way to become one of the finest electro label, GHOST TECHNOLOGY is back for the new year with the debut album of the producer called POPKOMM better known as the half of UKV band (and also as the label co-manager). “Global Routing” contains 10 tracks on which we rediscorerd the spacey electronic touch already featuring on the most part of releases coming from this label (UKV E.P & signatures). This project must be listen as entire album however there are a couple of tracks that are better accomplished to stimulate a type of daydreaming, especially : ‘Behind Me’, ‘Look Back’, ‘Applied’, ‘Distant’. POPKOMM wins to produce a lovely album connecting at his own way the earlier electro and the new era of electronic music. Recommended!

The Dystopian producer GALAXIAN releases a committed E.P entitled “The Looting of Reason” on the great label Last Known Trajectory. Written before the uk riots of summer 2011, this solid project introduces some anticipated questions about the manipulations of citizens humans by the oppresive society. The point is : everyone should make some conscious choices and to reclaim the meaning of human life. Interesting to see the reality is catching up so fast the fiction and more ‘funny’ to hear the government lying about the nonsense of riots. “The Looting of Reason” is a coherent ep, not easy to listen but it must be listen to the beginning to end more as cyberpunk novel than a simple electro tunes package. According to its rough theme, the production is cold & dark however in some way pretty trippy and of course very unique. By means of this release, GALAXIAN proves once again that music is more deep when it’s about social disintegration (and not about assimilation). Recommended!

The multi-activist HEADNOAKS [Antizer0 - BlackRed] has just produced a mix dedicated to the Sweeden based producer called GRAGEE. A bit underrated in the electro niche, this great producer has got neverless a solid discography, released for the most part on H. Productions Label. Therefore we are glad to see an electrohead mixing these dark ‘masterpieces’. Enjoy :

Clone Crown Ltd rocks!

After an E.P tinged with violence (“Enterin Nebula Zer0“) & an album tinged with sexual requests (“Metalloid Freaks II“), ALIENSEXTOY is back at home along with a new project more chill but as well inspired. His E.P entitled “Sub Breed Beatz” features 5 tracks fusing dub, electro & funk together. This great project sounds like a peaceful interlude as the calm before the storm (that nobody won’t escape). But which storm? The natural storm, the authority threat or the Antizer0 aftershock? … will see, just take care of this moment, have a nice listen. Recommended!

With the release of his new E.P on his own label, PIP WILLIAMS is still pushing electro music in a really modern way. The surpising projet entitled “Analog Sequences” is focused on a more specific & moody sounds than his usual. Hard to get all it power at the first listen but really lovely & interesting after some listens. Pretty sure, these pure analogic tracks will find easily an ideal position into some tasty dj sets. Recommended!
