My Pinterest Boards

I’ve pinned over 5000 pins to boards such as Painted Furniture Inspiration, Wallpaper Me Up Baby, Should be in my wardrobe and Bump Wear – Pregnancy & Maternity. I pin for occasions, but mostly, I use it as a place to store beautiful things. Sure I do the blog promo thing, but not for my personal blog. Pinterest is all about the pretties for me, and this blog is far from that!

Anyway, I have boards like this:

I also use it for work, and have some secret squirrel boards that I use to store ideas. It’s great for that. Brilliant in fact!

I have loads of things I need to put up here. I have been a bad blogger of late. Well not bad. But busy. And pregnant with a toddler to look after too. After taking some good advice from my buddies I have stopped trying to do everything, and have stepped back from a few things while my body sorts its self out. This blog has been one to suffer. Like I said, I have loads to tell you like the Home Barn and the paint workshop I went on, and the new Kiddicare down the road from me. But that shall all have to wait until Phil’s home and I have some toddler free time. For now I just want to show you this:

It’s my beautiful new leather satchel which I snapped up for a bargain price from Scaramanaga - thanks for the hot tip Jay! It arrived today, and came with a little leather card holder. Totally recommend that company. Love. I fluffed up a bit and put the wrong delivery dress on, I used my old address … blame the pregnancy brain but that was all sorted with just one email.

Now I am signing off so I can sit here stroking my new bag…

THIS has made me smile today. A lot. It’s the new Stokke Tripp Trapp. It’s the new ORANGE Stokke Tripp Trapp. And I love it. A lot. The textiles look awesome. I shall be putting a montage of Orange Tripp Trapp love together shortly, hell, I may even make a video because we love it that much. Happy, happy!

When good old Tara published her 1988 photo of her and her buddy having a great time, perm and all. I was alllll over this week’s Gallery theme on youth. And quickly went to the old image archives to see what I had lurking. My first thought was this one:

Circa 1994ish, at Greendown Community School. Im the one with the too high Simon Cowell like trousers. Hot. Not. But as I was looking for that photo I came across this one…

Which must be about 1998 judging by our fresh faces. I’m on the left, and Amy and Geraldine are two of my bestest buddies. They are also Little Leg’s godmothers. They know all my dirty secrets! Ha! However, the one I am going to go with this week is:

Phil put this on Facebook yesterday. He said he was looking through my old photos and was shocked how alike Little Legs and I looked. Everyone – except my Mum – have always said she looks like Phil. And I agreed. Until the last 6 months or so, when people have started to comment how alike we are. And here, as Phil says, is the proof. My Mum is all in agreement too, actually, she’s all “I told you so”. She’s right, and she would know after all.

I’m glad. I don’t want my little girl to look like a smelly old sailor!

I wasn’t going to announce this, but I just can’t contain my excitement anymore!

The baby is …. * drum roll * …. a BOY!

It’s perfect. One of each. Although I wouldn’t have minded it being ‘me and my girls’.

But a boy is fabulous. Phil’s super excited.

We don’t disagree on much in life, but when it comes to this little one’s name, it just isn’t happening.

There’s a lot of no, nopes and no ways happening.

The name I love, he hates. The name he loves has grown on me, but now he doesn’t want it.

I’m sure it will come in time … wont it?!

If not, it will just be Junior.
