Badge improvements: Bulk actions, Expiry notification

I have a couple of tracker items I have worked on I'd like to get into core, but need some input/votes

Bulk action on badges - including deletion. There was a bug in Moodle that created lots of badges, so wanted a way to bulk manage the situation.
Notify participants when badges expire - we have lots of badges that expire on a date or a time after being issued. I wanted teachers to optionally message the participants when the badge expires - perhaps to allow them to take a refresher.

Badges multiplying (98200!) - anyone found the solution?

If you were able to test it, that would also be good.

Badge Criteria ' complete after Date' not available?

Good morning, I know I am very outdated here. I have a 4.0 site ready but did not have time to move my courses before the semester started.

Is there a way to use a 'Complete After Date' instead of 'Complete By Date' as a badge criteria?

Hi, I have Moodle 4.5.5 installed, and I have badges configured in some courses based on the completion of certain activities. When I check the ad hoc task `\core\task\badges_adhoc_task`, I see that it's not working correctly and is expiring. What could be causing this? I've noticed that some of the tasks used to award badges are hidden; could that be the reason?

Hello,

If you set up Activity completion for the self-assessment activity then you can use it as the criterion for awarding the badge. For more details, see the documentation Using badges.

I only use site-level badges and yes, clicking on "full profile" does indeed solve the problem.

Hi PH,
Users have a "site-level" profile (a.k.a. "Full profile") and a "course-level" profile -- when students view the course profile of other classmates, they probably aren't seeing all badges normally seen when viewing the site-level profile.

One way to test this out --- when viewing the course profile, there is a link to the "Full profile" in the Miscellaneous" box -- clicking that should do the trick (unless students cannot see the profiles at the site level) -- consider logging in as a student and testing that out.
