With the warm weather approaching, many of you residents of Collierville, TN apartments like to get out and about. Also, with many of us keeping an eye on our pocketbooks, the Collierville Libraryhas many upcoming free events that you can check out: Here’s a smattering of spring events happening at the Collierville library for children, teens, and adults for residents of the Collierville, TN apartments:

On Saturday May 12, Family Tunes and Tales presents the story Tissue Please is accompanied by music of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra.
Thursday May 17 sees the meeting of the Teen Advisory Board at 5pm.
On Sunday May 25, the library’s Summer Reading program begins for both adults and young adults.
On Tuesday May 29, the Mobile Career Coach will be available for residents of the Collierville, TN apartments. Includes workshops and computer labs.

Check Out Charlotte’s Web at the Harrell Performing Arts Theatre May 4-6!

If you have little ones who enjoy the experience of live theater or if you just like to support local arts groups and community theater, you’ll definitely want to mark your calendar for the New Day Children’s Theatre production of Charlotte’s Web. These performances will take place May 4-6 at the Harrell Performing Arts Theatre located at 440 West Powell Road, Collierville, TN 38017, which is less than five miles from our apartment community at Bailey Creek.

Charlotte’s Web is the story of a pig named Wilbur who befriends an intelligent spider named Charlotte who weaves messages into her web like “Some Pig” and “Terrific” to convince the farmer not to slaughter the pig. The story was originally a 1952 novel by E.B. White which was adapted to an animated feature by Hanna-Barbera Productions in 1973.

Find Unique Arts, Crafts and More at the Collierville Fair On the Square

You can find all sorts of unique things at Fair On the Square!

Now that April is in full swing and spring is in the air, there’s no better time to spotlight one of Collierville’s biggest yearly events, the Collierville Fair On the Square. First held in 1976, the fair is held the first weekend in May each year at the Collierville Town Square and will take place Saturday, May 5 from 10am to 6pm and Sunday, May 6 from noon to 5pm.

Along with live entertainment, you can also expect more than 180 booths for vendors selling everything from food to arts and crafts like needle and woodcrafts, sculptures, baskets, pottery, ceramics and paintings, original jewelry, garden items, clothing and floral designs. There will also be fun for the whole family like games, face painting, rock climbing, a petting zoo and much more.

All profits from the fair are dispersed back into the community in the form of grants for education, community life, environment and art projects, so come out, have fun and support the community!

You may even find some unique art with which to decorate your Bailey Creek apartment!
