The quest to get those doors open required the calling in of a few favours, and many more are now owed. To each and everyone of you – a heartfelt thank you.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;We finally got to swap our toolboxes for knock boxes around 3pm on Thursday 7th November, the dreariest of November afternoons, and so began our coffee adventure. Dalam kenyataannya, kopi mempunyai banyak keuntungan bagi kesehatan, kini saatnya kita mulai mengenalinya. Berikut enam sebab utama bagi kita untuk terus meminum kopi (atau mulai) meminumnya setiap hari!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
1. Menurunkan resiko diabetes tipe-2. Siapa dapat menduga bila minuman sesederhana kopi dapat memberikan keuntungan yang menakjubkan bagi kesehatan? Ternyata, dengan meminum kopi dapat mengurangi resiko diabetes tipe dua. Menurut Sid Kirchheimer dari WebMD, semakin banyak kopi yang diminum, semakin baik hasil yang diperoleh. Bahkan, Universitas Harvard telah melakukan riset tentang manfaat kopi bagi kesehatan selama 18 tahun, dengan menganalisa data dari sekitar 126 ribu orang. Hasilnya, dengan meminum kopi 1-3 cangkir sehari dapat mengurangi resiko terkena diabetes hingga 10 persen, sedangkan dengan meminum kopi 6 cangkir atau lebih dapat mengurangi resiko pria dari serangan diabetes tipe dua sebesar 54 persen, sedangkan untuk wanita dapat berkurang 30 persen. Ini argumen bagus untuk ungkapan “satu poci kopi sehari”, ungkapan bagi orang yang ketagihan minum kopi setiap harinya.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2. Mengurangi Resiko Penyakit Parkinson dan Lainnya&lt;br /&gt;
Enam kelompok studi lain menemukan bahwa peminum kopi yang meminum kopi dengan teratur dapat mengurangi resiko terkena Parkinson lebih dari 80 persen. Menurut Thomas DePaulis, Phd, seorang ilmuwan dari Vanderbilt University’s Institute for Coffee Studies, menyatakan, semakin banyak meminum kopi, diperoleh hasil yang semakin baik. Nampaknya bagi mereka yang tidak meminum kopi, juga memiliki resiko terkena kanker kolon, sirosis hati, bahkan batu empedu! Penelitan terbaru lainnya menunjukkan bahwa kopi dapat memberi keuntungan bagi kesehatan jantung, mengurangi resiko penyakit jantung sampai 53 persen.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3. Mengimbangi Kebiasaan Jelek Lainnya&lt;br /&gt;
Kopi tidak hanya memiliki efek yang bagus bagi tubuh dalam hal melawan penyakit, namun juga dapat membantu untuk mengimbangi atau memutar balik resiko yang diakibatkan oleh kebiasaan buruk. Menurut Thomas DePaulis, “Perokok dan peminum berat akan memiliki resiko lebih rendah terkena penyakit jantung dan gangguan liver bila mereka memiliki kebiasaan minum kopi secara teratur dibandingkan mereka yang tidak minum kopi.&lt;br /&gt;

4. Dapat Membantu Mengobati Penyakit&lt;br /&gt;
Ada bukti yang menunjukkan bahwa kopi dapat membantu mencegah serangan asma dan bahkan dapat mengaturnya di saat kekurangan obat tradisional. Juga, kopi sangat bermanfaat dalam mengobati sakit kepala, khususnya migrain, dan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orang yang minum kopi meningkatkan perlindungan terhadap rongga perutnya sendiri.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
5. Mengurangi Berat Badan&lt;br /&gt;
Tersedianya anti-oksidan alami dalam kopi, dapat membantu Anda menurunkan berat badan. Fakta baru lain, yang baru-baru ini ditemukan oleh Fulgencio Saura-Calixto dan M. Elena Diaz-Rubio dalam ACS’ Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, menemukan bahwa kopi bubuk masak dapat menjadi sumber serat yang baik, setiap cangkir mengandung hampir 2 gram serat yang mudah larut. Kebanyakan orang yang menjalani diet sangat sadar akan manfaat serat dalam hal pengurangan berat badan. Menurut penelitian, “kandungan serat yang terdapat pada kopi bubuk masak lebih tinggi dibandingkan minuman umum lain seperti anggur maupun jus jeruk.” Jadi, mari kita minum kopi, saudara-saudara! Tapi hindari gula!&lt;br /&gt;

6. Membantu Kita Mengontrol Depresi&lt;br /&gt;
Kopi telah membuktikan dapat membantu mengatur maupun menanggulangi depresi. Sebagian, tentu saja, karena kandungan kafein membuat kita tetap sadar, yang dapat mengurangi perasaan depresi, namun mungkin juga berhubungan dengan tingkat oksidan yang terkandung dalam secangkir kopi. Sebenarnya, suatu penelitian dari Brazil baru-baru ini menunjukkan bahwa bahkan anak-anak dapat meminum kopi dalam jumlah yang sesuai dengan usianya untuk mengatasi depresi. Kenyataannya, dalam penelitian menunjukkan sejumlah kecil kopi (1-2 cangkir sehari) sesungguhnya memiliki manfaat bagi kesehatan anak-anak, meskipun pernyataan sebelumnya menyatakan bahwa meminum kopi dapat menghambat pertumbuhan seseorang.&lt;br /&gt;
Ada lebih banyak manfaat minum kopi bagi kesehatan dan tampaknya mereka jauh lebih bermanfaat dibandingkan resiko yang didapatkan. Jadi berhentilah merasa bersalah dan nikmatilah secangkir kopi Anda di pagi hari! Para peneliti menemukan, peminum kopi reguler risiko terkena kanker mulut dan kerongkongan, lebih rendah 39 persen daripada orang yang tidak minum kopi.&lt;br /&gt;

“Kami memiliki sample yang cukup besar dan kami mengombinasikan data dari banyak penelitian. Kami memiliki kekuatan statistik yang lebih untuk mendeteksi antara kanker dan kopi,” kata Mia Hashibe, kepala peneliti, seperti dikutip dari Times of India.&lt;br /&gt;

Studi tentang hubungan antara kopi dan kanker menurut sebagian orang cukup membingungkan dan kadang-kadang hasilnya kontradiktif. Bukan berlebihan atau mengada-ada, tapi memang sejak dulu saya bisa dikatakan maniak terhadap jenis minuman yang satu ini. Dalam sehari mungkin saya bisa menghabiskan bergelas-gelas kopi, pagi, siang, sore, dan malam hari. Iseng-iseng saya mencari artikel tentang beberapa manfaat kopi untuk kesehatan, tentu saja ini mungkin bisa dikatakan hanya sebuah retorika pembelaan diri. Tapi saya pikir ini patut kita ketahui juga dan menjadi pengetahuan yang mungkin suatu saat akan bermanfaat.&lt;br /&gt;

Berikut beberapa point dan manfaat dari secangkir minuman yang bernama kopi, yang berhasil saya rangkum dari berbagai sumber :&lt;br /&gt;

Delapan puluh persen orang dewasa di dunia minum kopi sedikitnya sekali sehari. Wow, saya banyak temannya!  &lt;br /&gt;

Kafein yang terkandung didalam kopi adalah zat kimia yang berasal dari tanaman yang dapat menstimulasi otak dan sistem saraf. Kafein tergolong jenis alkaloid yang juga dikenal sebagai trimetilsantin. Selain pada kopi, kafein juga banyak ditemukan dalam minuman teh, cola, coklat, minuman berenergi (energy drink), cokelat, maupun obat-obatan.&lt;br /&gt;

Kafein membantu Anda untuk bisa berpikir lebih cepat. Cobalah mengkonsumsi kopi atau teh 15 menit atau 30 menit sebelum Anda melakukan wawancara pekerjaan atau memberikan presentasi pada atasan. Hasilnya mungkin akan cukup lumayan, karena kafein yang terdapat pada kopi atau teh terbukti mampu memberikan ’sinyal’ pada otak untuk lebih cepat merespon dan dengan tangkas mengolah memori pada otak.&lt;br /&gt;

Kafein mencegah gigi berlubang. Cobalah untuk meminum secangkir kopi hangat atau teh hangat sesaat setelah Anda mengkonsumsi cookies, cake coklat yang lezat, permen rasa buah atau sepotong roti manis. Joe Vinson, Ph.D., dari University of Scranton menjelaskan bahwa kafein yang terdapat dalam minuman ini ternyata sangat tangguh memberantas bakteri penyebab gigi berlubang.&lt;br /&gt;

Kafein mengurangi derita sakit kepala. Penelitian menemukan kafein yang terdapat dalam kopi atau teh (dalam jumlah tertentu) sanggup menolong mengobati sakit kepala. Menurut Seimur Diamond, M.D., dari Chicago’s Diamond Headache Clinic. Penderita migrain dalam kategori ringan dapat disembuhkan dengan secangkir kopi pekat atau secangkir black tea. Jadi, sebelum mengkonsumsi obat cobalah dulu sembuhkan sakit kepala Anda dengan minuman berkafein.&lt;br /&gt;
Kafein bisa melegakan napas penderita asma dengan cara melebarkan saluran bronkial yang menghubungkan kerongkongan dengan paru.&lt;br /&gt;

Kafein dapat membuat badan tidak cepat lelah, bisa melakukan aktifitas fisik lebih lama, di perkirakan karena kafein membuat “bahan bakar” yang dipakai otot lebih lama.&lt;br /&gt;

Kafein dapat menangkal radikal bebas dan menghancurkan molekul yang dapat merusak sel DNA.&lt;br /&gt;

Untuk mengurangi risiko pengidapan diabetes mulailah meminum kopi. Seseorang yang minum kopi lebih dari enam cangkir sehari berisiko rendah terserang diabetes dibanding dengan orang yang tidak minum kopi sama sekali. Demikian simpulan sebuah riset skala besar yang dilakukan pada 80 ribu orang selama 18 tahun di AS.&lt;br /&gt;

Parkinson jarang ditemukan pada orang yang minum kopi secara teratur. Sebuah riset menyimpulkan penyakit ini justru ditemukan pada pria yang tidak minum kopi tiga kali lebih banyak daripada pria penikmat kopi.&lt;br /&gt;

Minum kopi membuat sperma “berenang” lebih cepat dan mampu meningkatkan kesuburan pria. Hal ini diumumkan para ilmuwan Brasil dalam pertemuan “American Society for Reproductive Medicine” di San Antonio, dimana pembicaraan utama berkisar pada efek obat-obatan terhadap kesuburankaum adam.&lt;br /&gt;

Setidaknya ajaklah beberapa orang teman sesame pecandu kopi untuk bersama-sama menikmatinya.&lt;br /&gt;
Sebaiknya isi dahulu perut anda dengan makanan barulah memimum kopi.&lt;br /&gt;
Minum kopi lengkapi dengan sedikit penganan ringan.&lt;br /&gt;
Bagi perokok kopi adalah teman setia.&lt;br /&gt;
Mimum kopi sambil menonton film kesukaan anda pastinya lebih menyenangkan.&lt;br /&gt;
Pilih cita rasa sesuai dengan selera anda.&lt;br /&gt;
Dapat pula kopi di campur dengan susu, kopi susu namanya. Hem……………..&lt;br /&gt;
Lebih nikmat bila diminum selagi panas.&lt;br /&gt;
