You can book the taxi at taxi booking center, outside the exit terminal. there will be a board that list more detail destination and price. the price is for one car,not per person. ask if your destination is not listed.

If you already book a hotel, it is better if you request a pick up from airport to the hotel. almost all hotel give a free pick up.

hope this help you.

The New Lombok International Airport (Bandara International Lombok), Planned to open on 1 October 2011. This airport is located in central southern lombok newa the city of praya.

this new airport has been formally announced several time in the past and the rescheduled for a leter date.

With the opening of this new airport, lombok island will be the next destination for travelling.

For those of you who are yet to visit this fantastic island, you are in for a relaxed treat. Forget the hustle and bustle and be prepared for a lay-back holiday and, an introduction to a different culture and stunning scenery. My advice to anyone contemplating a visit or extended stay in Lombok is to hire a vehicle and drive around.

The roads are relatively good, the people super-friendly and a must-see is the towering volcano of Gunung Rinjani. The religion in the eastern half of the island is predominately Muslim. Handicraft villages abound right across the island and Lombok has some of the best diving and surfing to be found anywhere.

If you have a disease, it went to the doctor but no significant progress. you should try the traditional Balinese way of healing. This traditional healing hopefully be able to cure you from diseases that you suffer.

The Method:

The methods are based on Bali’s esoteric teachings on divine energy, which emphasise the importance of balancing spiritual awareness with physical fitness.

How it Works:

Healers will touch parts of your body, if the negative energy is detected, you will be able to feel it, then the healer will remove that negative energy.

Healers will touch it again to make sure the negative energy is gone.

You Feel part of your body, to make sure you’re feeling better.

How long it takes:

Healing takes a very short time, less than 5 minutes. but if you are serious illness, it is necessary to check over and over until it is considered cured.

Type of Illness:

Various diseases can usually be cured, like symptoms of a stroke, severe stroke, mild cancer, paralysis due to negative energy, illness due to black magic, etc

Definitely Cured?

If you are destined, it is believed you will be cured, so many have healed from various diseases caused by negative energy.

I am not sick, can I check?

Sometimes the disease can not be felt now, but will be active at your age getting older or your body has no antibodies, checking early will help you detect the disease early. when you are touched by the healer, if there is no disease, then you will not feel anything. but if there is disease then you will feel the negative energy in the place you touched.

How much do I have to pay:

To check your illness accounted for only U.S. $ 1, but if you have been successfully treated, you are expected to contribute to our social foundations of at least U.S. $ 50. This money will be used to carry out mass healing in Bali.

Contact

If you were in Bali and you are interested in this treatment, you can Contact me.

If you are outside of Bali you can come to Bali, please contact me to assist you in

The 2010 Citbank – Ubud Writers & Readers Festival theme is ‘Bhinneka Tunggal Ika: Harmony in Diversity’, the Indonesian national motto originating from the Sutasoma, an ancient Javanese text which advocates respect between all people, across religious, ethnic and social divides.

From October 6 – 10, the brightest global writers will come together to debate the issues that divide and unite us, in a celebration of stories and voices. There will be writers from China, Malta, Djibouti, Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, France, Bosnia, Turkey, South Africa, Australia, the UK, Ireland, the US and Canada, and from across the Indonesian archipelago.

The Citbank – Ubud Writers & Readers Festival is the major project of the not-for-profit foundation, the Yayasan Mudra Swari Saraswati. It was first conceived of by Janet De Neefe, co-founder of the Foundation, as a healing project in response to the first Bali bombing, with the first event held in 2004.

The Citibank – Ubud Writers & Readers Festival mission is to create a world class literary event that brings together diverse Indonesian and international voices for dialogue and exchange in order to: share stories, ideas and their craft in the spirit of cross-cultural understanding; foster greater international awareness and understanding of Indonesian literary cultures; create opportunities for Indonesian writers to present their work to a global audience; and to expose Indonesian audiences to the work of international writers.

As in most countries, there are dishonest people in Bali too. Money changers have a notorious reputation for sleight of hand, rigged calculators and other scams. Unfortunately, we frequently hear from people who have been ripped off by one of these dishonest money changers. A little research before going to Bali will prevent anyone putting themselves in a position to be cheated. If you follow the rules set out below, you should not have a problem locating and using an honest money changer.

• DO NOT use a money changer that is located down a lane way or alley.

• DO NOT use a money changer with a desk at the back of another business.

• DO NOT use a money changer if the sign does not say “authorized” ( and even if the sign does say authorized, do not let your guard down and do follow all the same rules)

• DO NOT use a money changer with an advertised rate which is better than any other in that area. (If the rate is too high, the changer is not making any money on the exchange and will have to cheat you to make money)

• DO NOT hand over your money until you are satisfied that the exchange is honest and you have the rupiah in your other hand.

• DO NOT allow anyone else present to distract you during the transaction.

• DO NOT accept any smaller denominations than 50,000 and 100,000 notes (a sure sign that you are going to be cheated is if they say they have run out of large notes and try to give you small notes instead).

• DO NOT allow anyone to touch the rupiah once you have counted it and are sure it is correct.

• DO only change your money at dedicated money changer (or the business listed further in this list)

• DO check their calculations, on your own calculator, if necessary.

• DO count the rupiah, twice, in full, before handing over your money.

• DO keep the rupiah in your hand, do not put it back down on the counter.

• DO, if you feel at all uncomfortable or suspicious, walk out.

• DO, if you find you have been cheated, go back to that money changer and ask for the rest of your rupiah (most keep a ledger of the amounts they have skimmed, so will know exactly how much you have been shorted).

• DO try to keep using the same money changer, once you have found an honest and reliable one.

In our experience the businesses listed below are honest, but having said this, always check and never take their honesty for granted:

Kodak Shops

Fuji Shops

Airport Money Changers

PT Bali Maspintjinra, Kuta Jl Sriwinjays No 16A

BMC Seminyak PT Bali Maspintjinra(opposite Bintang Supermarket, next to Sip restaurant on the Kuta side.)

PT Bali Maspintjinra, Head office Jl Raya Seminyak No 16A

PT Bali Maspintjinra, Sanur, Jl Danau Tamblingan No 18

PT Bali Maspintjinra also has offices in Makassar and Lombok

Some hotels will offer a decent exchange rate if you feel that the money changer process is not for you, and want an easier, hassle free option.

Please ensure that your passport has 6 months or longer of validity or you will not be allowed to enter Indonesia. They are very strict about this.

On arrival at Denpasar’s Ngurah Rai Airport you will leave the plane and head to the immigration hall. Once there, you will see 2 cubicles on either side of the hall with the sign Visa on Arrival (VOA). Line up at one of the queues to purchase your visas.

For a stay of 1 to 7 (calendar) days the VOA will be $10 USD. For a stay of 8 to 30 days the VOA will cost $25 USD. Your length of stay is taken very seriously so ensure you are purchasing the correct VOA. For stays of longer than 30 days, a 60 day visa needs to be obtained prior to leaving your country. Children are not exempt from having to have a VOA.

It is possible to pay for your visa in any other major currency and your change will be given to you in rupiah. It is personal choice what currency you use. Most have no problems paying in their currency but some have reported problems with the 2 currency conversions, into their currency and then of the change into rupiah.

Credit cards are NOT accepted.

Remember to check that you have been given the correct visa for the length of your stay.

With your visa in hand proceed to the next bank of queues and when asked to come forward present your passport, VOA and Immigration Card (given out on the plane or in your port of embarkation). You will be required to present these to 2 separate immigration officials. You will be given back your passport and the tear off portion of the immigration card which is required to leave the country (departure card). It is very important that you don’t lose that departure card.

Proceed from here into the baggage claim area. There are porters (they will be wearing shirts that say “porter”) available to hire in this area and they may try to grab your bags from you. They are not just being helpful, they do expect to be paid on a per case basis, as this is their livelihood. The recommended fee per case can be found on small signs near the baggage carousels. If you don’t want to use a porter, a firm, but polite “No, thank you” will suffice. With your luggage, proceed through the customs area with your customs card (given out on the plane as well) ready for inspection.

There are a number of ATM’s in the baggage claim area or there is a large choice of money changers as you leave the customs area. You can’t miss them, they will all be waving and smiling at you to get your attention. There are public toilets situated at the far end of the baggage claim area.
