Recipient of a Fulbright travel grant to the U.S., she earned her Ph.D. in Microbiology and is a widely published research scientist. Her literary work has appeared in over forty journals, magazines and anthologies, including The Baltimore Sun, The Christian Science Monitor,Catholic Digest, Crab Orchard Review, The Pedestal Magazine, A Science Poetry anthology, Passager. She has twice received the Maryland Literary Arts Award, the Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award in fiction, and an Award from the National League of American Pen Women. She is the author of a short story collection, “Where Monsoons Cry,” and a science teacher and Department Chair at St. Paul’s School for Girls. Her website is www.lalitanoronha.com

She has been in over 70 shows including feature's at The Nuyorican in New York, The Los Angeles Women'sTheatre Festival in L.A. and the Bristol, Paddington and Sheffield International Poetry Festivals in England. Her work has been published in Europe as well as America and she is proud to work bringing poetry and idea's to schools. Katie has just returned home from her second tour of Europe. 

Dan Maguire’s poetry has won local and national awards. He most recently won the Almeda Boulton Memorial Award sponsored by the National Federation of State Poetry Societies. Rabbi Liz Bolton has a history in operatic singing….she is an angel of voice whose interpretations of ancient Hebraic sacred melodies can leave one breathless. And she does more than sing! Liz is a longtime advocate of social justice.


Miriam Botwinik has taught in the Baltimore City School system for some time…Her poetry reflects a deep understanding of inner city life and reflects a respect for students and a profound belief in the generations to come.

Alan Barysh is a local performance poet/political activist living in Baltimore. He is the president of Gimme Shelter Productions, a group of performance poets and artists that has done fund raisers for various homeless shelters. An illustrated, chap book/compact disk called “Art between Deliveries” is due out sometime in December.

Marcus Colasurdo is a widely published writer who is the author of eight books. He has written for the Baltimore Chronicle and is the winner of the Norman O. Brown Award for poetry at Bloomsburg University. Founder of Gimme Shelter Productions as well as the Urban Mobile Artists in Los Angeles, Marcus has performed his work all across the country, including at schools, homeless shelters and prisons.


Julie Fisher is a Spacemonkey who grew up in Fells Point and has a compulsion to spin multiple plates simultaneously. She is the founder of www.PoetryInBaltimre.com. She has poems published in “Attic”, “Manorborn”
and “Octopus Dreams, Anthology One”".
