Andrew is an educator, tech integration specialist, mentor, and entrepreneur. He began teaching at Digital Harbor High School after moving to Baltimore in 2009 with Teach For America. Although he started as a Social Studies teacher, he quickly found himself redesigning the school’s website, co-founding an after school club devoted to web development, teaching other teachers about technology, and fixing computers around the building. Andrew now teaches technology full time in addition to sitting on the Tech Advisory Board, the School and Family Council, the DHHS Alliance, managing IT for the building, and maintaining the school’s website.

He has been featured on the front cover of the Baltimore Sun and on the air at WYPR’s Maryland Morning with Sheliah Kast. In 2011 he co-founded the Baltimore EdTech Forum, and later that year, in November he lead the winning team at 1st ever Education Hack Day in Baltimore. Andrew is passionate about educational equality and is dedicated to reinventing education to empower students to take their place the 21st century digital workplace.

Bill spent ten years in Silicon Valley in product management and product marketing roles for venture-backed firms such as Netscape, Asera, iMediation, and NorthStar. Following Silicon Valley, Bill moved to Baltimore with his wife and two children and worked at Legg Mason and T. Rowe Price.

He graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in political science and is a business school drop-out: Bill completed his first year at Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management but never returned from his summer internship at Netscape.

After graduating with dual bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Religious Studies and getting a graduate certificate in Database Management, Jason finally discovered that all he really wanted to do was make the internet.

Since then, he generally spends his time reading, coding, collaborating, discovering good pale ales, and teaching his new son about the wonders of HTML5.

He was one of the first reporters at The Sun to use multimedia tools and Web applications — a video camera, an iPhone — to cover breaking news. He hopes to cover Maryland geeks and the gadgets and Web sites they build, and learn — and share — something new every day.

Gus has a wife, a young daughter and two feuding cats. They live in Northeast Baltimore.

Myke is one of the founders of Localist.com. He develops and evolves the vision of the company’s business model and forms strategic partnerships. In addition, he heads product strategy to conceptualize new features and lead creative development of site design, usability and overall branding.

His past experience includes serving as Chief Creative Officer at Betanews, managing media projects at The Baltimore Sun, and leading Web development teams at media companies, non-profits and PR firms.
