To skip to the important point .... "But things have changed. One of the three sent to jail was a cabbie with iron rods tied to the top of the taxi. The rods jutted out and police officials asked for a harsh punishment as they thought that this could be potentially perilous for occupants of vehicles following the taxi.

The other two—one driving a small car and the other on a bike—were both booked for overspeeding and simultaneously changing lanes without using indicators. They, too, were handed out one-day simple imprisonments."

Finally the local photo journal has taken off. This one reflects the quintissential Bangalorean! the first pic is that of the 80 ft road - apparently Bangaloreans prefer to recognize roads by their width (how?? carry a tape measure) so there are several 30 - 60 - 80 - 100 ft roads! Traffic on each is no different than any other and someone forgot to tell the Blr Bikers that coming down the right on a dual carrigeway (or divided road)
is a bad idea - or that even beyond 10 pm. traffic rules still apply!
