Dog poo bags, from dog poo bins has been strewn on the park

I'm absolutely disgusted to report to you about the act of vile vandalism (there is no other word for it), that has occurred at the park.

After getting a phone call letting me know that sometime last night someone has taken a large number of poo bags out of the poo bins , and then scattered them around the park.

Did anyone read the article on the Sentinel’s web site regarding speed cameras? It looks like speed cameras could be axed from some Staffordshire roads following a review of their impact on road safety. Let’s hope that if any are taken out that they might make use of them on R.M.W. I am sure if the council can adopt the estate, the estate would be more than happy to adopt a couple of speed cameras from the highways authority. I am sure they would be a welcomed addition to the area.

Most people see teenagers hanging around in groups on the streets in a negative light.

But is it all their fault? With the cost of a night out to the pictures, bowling, cinema costing a small fortune, hampered by the jobs market being flooded by families recently made redundant, making jobs for non-experienced workers even harder to get.

Bankeyfields asked the question - is there enough things to do for our local teenagers?

Just a quick thank you to everyone who took part in the events on Sunday.
What a beautiful day!
There were over 20 children who turned up at the litter pick in the morning, with lots of rubbish being cleared from the play area. Thanks also to the parents who accompanied them and helped out.
In the afternoon there was even more interest in the Street Games being held in the hard court area, with games such as cricket and football being well attended and very enjoyable. Thanks to all those who turned out to make it a great fun filled afternoon.

After finding one of the dog pooh bins had been emptied onto the pathway this weekend, I tried to get in touch with Stoke-on-Trent councils switch board, Stoke-on-Call 01782 234 234, to let them know, and also to ask if they could send a rapid response team down.

I had 2 reasons for this - firstly , it's not very healthy for children and adults a like, and secondly because the police and council were staging their respect day.

More poo bins emptied next to Tom's Tiles(+ photos)

Another Friday night goes by and another poo bin has been emptied, this time the contents of the bin were dumped onto the pavement next to the bin.

The bin trashed is the one at the top of the estate, next to Toms Tile shop and the High Street.

I've tried to ring the council, but they only cover half the weekend, so it looks like it might stay like that all weekend.

Focal radio - can you help

The newest radio station in Staffordshire and Cheshire could be forced to close if immediate investment isn’t found. Focal Radio, based in Stoke on Trent, started broadcasting to the area at the beginning of November and was saved from administration in February by businessman Mo Chaudry.

Now the multi-millionaire has made the decision to shut Focal with the loss of 23 jobs.

Suggest a beer garden

Wow, it's that time of year again, when the sun shines, and you realize that a trip to the beer garden is in order.

Only which one, we've tried the furlong a few times but it always gets busy.

Don't mind driving to the pub, as either me or the mrs (the mrs!) will refrain from drinking.

Report from Staffordshire Police to warn people of a bogus window cleaner: Crime alert

We have received a report from Staffordshire Police to warn people of a bogus window cleaner currently operating in the Newcastle area. An elderly lady has reported that a man gained access to her home by telling her he was the new window cleaner. Whilst she went to make him a drink he stole £100 from her purse and fled.

Fraud Emails: Crime alert

Various reports have been issued to warn against a type of fraud commonly know as 'West African' or '419' advance fee fraud. The fraud has been know in many forms but according to the Metropolitan Police the most common scam begins with a letter bearing a Nigerian postage stamp or frank mark; E-mails are increasingly being used as they are harder for Law Enforcement agencies to intercept. The writer, usually bearing the title of Doctor, Chief or General, will explain that a 'mutual business associate' has suggested that the writer confidentially contact the addressee.
