Banner Homes Midlands is inviting residents of Malvern to an informal public exhibition on Monday 27th February 2012 from 4pm to 7pm to discuss plans for the future development of land at 14 Grundy’s Lane. The exhibition, which will take place in the Gryphon Room at Malvern College Sports Complex, will be an opportunity for residents to view and discuss early plans for the way in which the site could be developed with new housing.

Mark Booth, Regional Director for Banner Homes Midlands comments, “We are at the very early stages of devising plans for the way this land could be developed and are holding this public meeting so we can engage with the local community and take on board their comments and feedback before we move forward with a planning application.

“The site is presently occupied by a detached house with nearly a half an acre of garden. Although it falls within the Malvern Wells Conservation Area and the Malvern Hills Area of Natural Beauty (AONB) we believe that it can be developed to accommodate further homes in a manner that will enhance the character of the conservation area and without adversely affecting the AONB. We have also recognised that because of the changes in levels across the site there needs to be careful thought about relationships to adjoining properties. At the public exhibition we will produce drawings that will not only show our draft proposals but also how these will relate to adjoining properties.”

Members of the Banner Homes project team will be on hand to discuss draft plans with residents. Following the exhibition all feedback received will be reviewed and taken into consideration ahead of the plans being developed further in the form of a planning application.

For further information about the exhibition or plans for Grundy’s Lane please visit the dedicated Grundy’s Lane consultation page.

Banner Homes’ staff from the Partridge Corner development recently took a special trip to nearby Birdlip Primary School to present a cheque of £250 towards the school’s brand new pond and nature area. In 2011, local parents started to re-vamp the top of the school playing fields to create a nature area and large pond before the school unfortunately run out of funds to complete the project. Banner Homes Midlands stepped in and saved the day by donating the required funds to complete the works.

Meanwhile, Banner Homes’ staff also took a cooking class with the students in their brand new kitchen; also previously funded by the developer.

Sandra Wride, headmistress at Birdlip Primary School, commented: “It has been frustrating not being able to complete the project and the donation from Banner Homes will make a big difference! We would very much like to put decking around and over the pond for pond dipping and to buy appropriate aquatic plants. The new nature area will also give the children a greater opportunity to study local wildlife”.

Partridge Corner boasts a collection of three bedroom homes in the charming village of Birdlip. Prices start from £325,000 for a three bedroom, three bathroom, terraced home with a garage. The three storey home features a separate kitchen/breakfast area, sitting room, cloakroom, en-suite to the master bedroom and bedroom two, one additional bedroom and a family bathroom.

Birdlip is rich in history, boasting hidden treasures such as Iron Age Hill forts and Bronze Age stone monuments. Meanwhile, the Crickley Hill Country Park and the Cotswold Way feature outstanding natural beauty and the chance to explore the great outdoors. A wide choice of independent and state schools, as well as Gloucestershire’s leading grammar schools, provide fantastic educational standards for young families. Plus, the nearby M5, M4 and mainline train stations, such as Cheltenham, provide quick transport links to major cities including Bristol, Birmingham, Oxford and London.

For further information about the new homes at Partridge Corner, contact the Banner Homes sales team on 01452 865754 or visit the Partridge Corner website at www.partridgecorner.co.uk

Show homes are also open from 10am to 5pm, Thursday to Monday for a one to one meeting with the sales advisor.
