Happy New Year everyone

We have been gathering lots of great material from newspapers and books about the incomparable late-blooming mystery author, Barbara Comfort or B. Comfort as she puts on her books. Most of which she self-published after creating her own publishing company. We recently came across an interview with the author that was published in Michael Pearson’s book called “Imagined Places: Journey Into Literary America” in 1991.

Barbara Comfort, a mystery writer, emigrated to Landgrove, Vermont, in 1943 at the age of twenty-seven.

Barbara Comfort, a multifaceted artist who roamed between Vermont and New York, defied simple categorization. She was a painter who captured the soul of landscapes, an inventor who dreamed up practical solutions, and an author who penned captivating mysteries.

Hello again, we have been adding a page and updating the website for the coming year. I have finally created a page for the book, “At Loggerheads” which was self-published by the author in 2001. The photo on the front is from a picture that the author painted. There is no official “Synopsis” written anywhere that I could find but from reading the first chapter I created something for the Tish McWhinney fans on the new page.

The early news articles I found on Ms. Comfort were wrong about the series and most were all about her family and her painting career. The below article lists “Phoebe’s Knees as the third in the Vermont Village Murder Series. That may be true but as she published her other books the first two became the Liz Bell Series and the others the Tish McWhinny Series.

The holidays are over and now it’s time to get back to work. One of the first things I have been trying to do in the new year is to produce more blog articles and update and/or upgrade each of the websites that I have under my domain. Sadly, I had to give up the domains for the author remembrance sites that I created. All but one are now under my own subdomain where I have started my website design and social media coordination services for authors and small businesses.
