The first shoot of the year is one of my very favorite jewelry designers, Renae from Brooklyn Grace. This event was an awesome one too!  Sunday morning… what do you crave most?? Bloody Mary’s of course!! Best cure in the world!! Well – Orbie Pullen & I were lucky enough to photograph the Seattle Met’s Sunday Bloody Sunday event at Poquitos in Capitol Hill where the coolest bartenders in town came together to compete for Seattle’s Best Bloody Mary!!  There was a LOT of variety – Poquitos, The Sexton, Chino’s, Bastille, Barrio & MistralKitchen — Erik from Bastille’s pulled ahead and won not only the judges pick but the peoples choice too! (it was a classic and most delicious bloody mary, I had to agree!)

A couple of weeks ago, on one of Seattle’s sunnyish (but VERY cold) and not rainy springish days we made a little tour of downtown Seattle & Queen Anne for a super fun engagement session!!

Our first stop – Kerry Park of course!! Then down the big hill to everyone’s favorite Seattle Center!

There are just too many neighborhoods to choose from… but after visiting the needle we headed over to the South Lake Union area and found this sweet building!

South Lake Union has a lot to offer… but the BEST is Tom Douglas runs the show with what – three great places to choose from?? We decided on the Bloody Mary’s at the Brave Horse Tavern. (YUUUUUM!!!)

A Seattle engagement portrait w/o a quick stop at Starbucks?!? NO WAY!!  ;0)  And if you know me (best tour guide in town!) you KNOW I want everyone to go to the downtown Seattle LIBRARY – pretty much the coolest building EVER built!  Seeing how Akiko & Henry are architects – they wanted to go there too!!

She laughed and giggled her way through our portrait session, here are a few of my favorites – I hope you love them too!!

Today – I want to talk about their save the dates…. I don’t even know where to start. It was a dark and stormy night…. just kidding – it was in Aaron & Ryan’s warehouse. ;0) We had an idea – and through the awesomeness of lenticular printing we were able to ROCK this save the date!! With a Halloween theme, we chose 2 final photos and them printed them on the same frame — using the ridges of the lenticular printing process if you tilted the image left- it was a nice sweet couple… if you tilted it to the right… JOHN WAS MURDERING TRESSA!!! EEEEEK!

January 21st was an AMAZING day!  A sunny day in Seattle, The Arctic Club, Tiffany & Brian had a celebration of marriage and all of their closest friends & family were there and it was… A SUNNY DAY IN JANUARY IN SEATTLE!!!!!

Created by the beautiful & talented Monir Zandghoreishi, local designer and International Academy of Design & Technology fashion design program chair, 12 local up-and-coming fashion design students have a chance to show the world what they’re made of. Just like project runway each of the twelve contestant’s create their vision in form of a red runway ready gown and a local celebrity judge will choose the top design.   Get your tickets Here!
