When on the lake, you can also use mate, or even sliced up seafood in order to serve to the drinking water to draw in schools associated with seafood, seafood along with other marine animals. This technique is fantastic for larger video game seafood as well as generally not really employed for smaller sized catches.

The best mix of angling pole and also reel, along with angling collection as well as barbs can also be essential. The benefit of using live bait is, you just can't beat or match the presentation of a live bait. The scent is also hard to mimic.

The trick to using live bait is, using it in the freest and most unhampered way possible. This means a minimum use of sinkers and bobbers, none at all if you can get away with it. You will want to use light tackle. I like to use a medium action rod, with a spinning reel, wound with 8-10 pound mono test. For your hooks, you should never use anything bigger than a #8 or #10 sized hook; and use a fine wire hook, it will keep your bait alive longer. If you need some extra weight, try a split-shot. If you have to use a bobber, try a small sliding, thumb sized cork with a matchstick to fit in the core.

The technique for live bait is different then fishing with artificial baits. Lets say your fishing with crayfish. So you hook the crayfish in the tail and cast him out there. Then you let him swim to the bottom. As the crayfish is walking along the bottom, a bass comes along and takes your crayfish. As soon as this happens, flip open your bail and let the bass take your bait, the bass suspects nothing because he can't feel any drag. Then he stops to swallow the crayfish, this is when you close the bail, reel in the slack and set the hook.

Another great way to fish with live bait is back-trolling. When in reverse, the motor pulls the boat rather than pushes it. So you can go slower which is what you want to do when fishing with live bait. When you throw your bait out there and start trolling, flip your bail and hold your line with your finger.

Pennsylvania Bass Fishing

Bass fishing has been a great American pastime for generations. And with thriving populations of both smallmouth and largemouth bass in many of its lakes, rivers, and reservoirs, Pennsylvania is an ideal state for bass fishing. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, fishing for bass in Pennsylvania is an entertaining and rewarding challenge and can provide fun for the entire family.

Habits

Although largemouth and smallmouth bass can be found in many of Pennsylvania's waters, they do not always share the same habitat.

Smallmouth bass tend to be schooling fish and often can be found in areas with a rock or gravel bottom. Largemouth bass are generally more solitary (though not always) and prefer vegetation and submerged wood cover. Largemouths also prefer slightly warmer water with less current than smallmouths.

Both species spawn on shallow flats when the water temperature reaches about 65 degrees Fahrenheit, though smallmouths might spawn slightly earlier than largemouths.

Timing

Fishing for smallmouths begins to heat up right after the first major warming trend of the year; at this time smallmouths may be found on drop-offs near spawning flats. Largemouth fishing usually picks up a little later.

Bass of both species often can be found cruising in shallow water looking for spawning sites once the water temperature reaches the low 50s. The spawn takes place in mid-May through early June on most Pennsylvania waters. Once the spawn is over, bass move to points, drop-offs and other deep structure. The times before and after the spawn are often the best times for bass fishing in Pennsylvania.

Tactics

Crankbaits, topwaters, spinnerbaits, jigs and various soft plastics are effective for catching bass in Pennsylvania. Live bait also works well: worms, minnows and crayfish all are popular.

In spring, cast shallow-running crankbaits around flats or work jigs around nearby drop-offs. Try fishing jigs and plastic worms along the edges of cover in summer, and focus on shallow water in the morning and evening, moving to deep structure during the heat of the day. Spinnerbaits and crankbaits work well in moderate depths in fall. Also try drifting live bait under a bobber or jigging it on bottom around cover.

Locations

Many waters across the state of Pennsylvania have healthy bass populations. Allegheny Reservoir, Blue Marsh Lake, Glendale Lake, High Point Reservoir, Lake Arthur, Lake Erie, Lake Marbug, Lake Wallenpaupack, Marsh Creek Lake, Pymatuning Lake, Raystown Lake, the Susquehanna River, Shenango River Lake, Tamarack Lake and Youghiogheny River Lake are among the best.

Regulations

Bass fishing is strictly catch and release from April 17 through June 11. Length restrictions and daily limits vary according to the time of year, and river regulations are slightly different from lake regulations. Complete details can be found on the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission website.

Many of the state's best bass waters are under Big Bass Program special regulations, which involve a higher minimum length and lower daily limit to improve fishing in these waters. You must have a valid Pennsylvania fishing license to fish for bass, which can be purchased at most bait shops and sporting goods stores statewide.

Great bass fishing techniques

Get the best bass fishing tips here and find the best baits and gear to use. I used to do most of my fishing as a child on Lake Oswego, near Portland, Oregon.

My grandparents lived on the lake because my grandfather loved to fish and drive his boat. My brother and I would swim and pilot the rowboat or even drive the motorboat. If we got tired of everthing else, we would ask our grandfather to get out the fishing equipment. Most of the time we would catch Perch and once in a while we would catch a Blue Gale. At night; we would occasionally catch a catfish that was cruising along the seawall.

These days you have to be a multi-millionaire to afford to live on the lake, but back in the 50's and 60's it was mostly blue collar people who were like my grandfather and for one reason or another wanted to live on the water.

After we would swim for awhile, it was time for a rest, so our grandfather would get out his fishing equipment. My brother and I usually fished with a worm and a bobber. This involved sitting around and waiting, so it got boring real fast. Our grandfather would be forced to break out the casting rods.

My brother and I loved to cast. We never really thought that we would catch any fish because the triple hooks were just dangling from the lures with no worms to hide them. We both thought that you had to use worms if you wanted to catch fish.

The lures that my grandfather had were made for bass, were three to five inches long and were all made out of wood, so they were pretty heavy. This heft combined with the way we cast, (we held the rods like baseball bats, then swung them overhand letting go of the line when the tip of the rod was at its highest point) allowed us to launch the lures 30 yards out into the lake. Casting was usally one of the highlights of the day. To my brother and I, casting was nearly as good a time as throwing rocks!

One day while I was casting, there was an extra big splash as my lure hit the water. I can still see that splash in my minds eye even though it happened over 40 years ago. As soon as the splash subsided, I realized that something was resisting as I tried to real in my line.

What had most likely happened was that the lure had landed right above the bass. The bass must have instinctively struck at the lure. The lure did its' job of hooking the bass and I reeled him in. I was completely caught off guard. He actually broke water a couple of times as I reeled him in, but what seemed like forever to me, was probably just a couple of minutes.

My grandfather ran into his basement and looked around until he found his fish scale, so he could weigh my bass. It came out to one and a half pounds. Surely, I thought, this can't be right. I thought that it would be 40 or 50 pounds at least, but my grandfather assured me that one and half pounds was big for that lake.

That was the only time that I have ever caught a bass in that manner, but the experience taught me to always expect the unexpected while you are fishing.

------

Craig Stanford has been fishing ever since he could hold a pole. He remembers going out with his grandfather and catching as many as 60 fish in one afternoon. To be frank not much is known about this dipeptide right know. Carnosine has already been given the nickname the anti-aging dipeptide as it has shown some positive anti-oxident properties. Carnosine is a water-soluble free radical scavenger. Found mainly in muscle tissue and the brain, there have been signs that it has delayed senescence which is a cell's loss of ability to divide. In fact an Australian study showed that carnosine could increase the Hayflick limit by close to 20%.

Anti aging Carnosine, studied for a hundred years already remains aloof. There have been small studies that demonstrate all types of wonderful attributes from being a powerful anti-oxident to having membrane protecting properties as well as being a neurotransmitter. Some studies are going so far as to say that anti aging carnosine has the potential to be helpful in Autism and Alzheimers disease.

There have been many animal related test with anti aging carnosine and the effects it has on cataracts. Dogs have been treated with carnosine and have shown positive results.

Carnosine is available at most health supplement stores and no serious side effects, when taken at the proper dosage, have been noticed.

Now would I start taking anti aging carnosine? When I started this post my initial reaction is that I would stay clear of anything I didn't fully understand but after reading many articles on the topic it seems as though the anti oxidant properties and cellular effects are impressive. I may not rush out to but some but I will definitely be investigating the anti aging carnosine supplement more.

Central Washington Bass Fishing

The central region of Washington state offers bass anglers plenty of fishing grounds to explore. Bass is one of the most sought after game fish in the state and largemouth and smallmouth bass are productive in central Washington's waters. The Washington state record smallmouth bass was caught from the central region of the state: Columbia River in Benton County.

Geography

Central Washington is divided into north and south regions and is defined by the Washington State Department of Transportation as including the counties of Benton, Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Kittitas, Klickitat, Okanogan and Yakima. Two of the primary bass fishing grounds located in this region include the Columbia River and the Potholes Reservoir.

Types of Bass

Largemouth and smallmouth bass can be caught in central Washington. Fishing season for bass is year-round for Columbia River and Potholes Reservoir. The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has bass stocking programs to enhance fishing opportunities in both areas.

Access Sites

Anglers looking for bass can access the Columbia River and Potholes Reservoir in numerous access sites. Most sites have boat launch access and allow motorized boats. Columbia River has 11 access sites located throughout the state. There are five access points along the Central region including Vernita Bridge, Buckshot, Old Vantage Highway and Sunland Estates in Grant County and Langsdorf Landing/Caterpillar Island in Clark County. Potholes Reservoir has a total of 13 access sites all located in Grant County.

Hot Spots

The 28,200-acre Potholes Reservoir is one of the most popular bass fishing destinations in Central Washington. A variety of game fish can be found in the potholes but the most popular species include bass, walleye and yellow perch. A hot spot for largemouth bass is located in the north end "sand dunes" area of the reservoir, while smallmouth bass are abundant near O' Sullivan Dam along the rocky shorelines, according to Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Regulations

All anglers are required to purchase a valid state fishing license. Countless folks get hooked, pardon the pun, on this great hobby and have exalted it to a passion and a sport. Resorts, lines and sports gears have been created and many more situations have prospered from these interests.

Today, there is an increased amount of people trying to learn and discover what the hype is all about. Bass fishing is more than just catching a fish. Now more than ever its about catching those prized big bass and being able to display it proudly. For people just starting out there are lots more to bass fishing than meets the eye.

You will need to learn what type of lures that you must have to enjoy bass fishing.

And do you know what the top 3 lures for catching Bass are? Although researchers did not have a particular guideline, a survey was given to pro bass fishermen and it was evident that plastic worms were the most popular and showing up as second and third place were the spinner bait and then the crank bait.

However, choosing one of these 3 won't be sufficient. You need to consider other factors. First, you must decide if it is more appropriate to cover a smaller section of water completely or skim across a greater area as fast as possible to locate fish. A worm can be slower to use, but very effective and is extremely attractive to Bass. They are most effective where fish will school near a certain structure.

The problem that usually comes up when fishing with a worm is that you are not able to feel strikes. Usually you are not able to sense them because of a sinker that is weighs too much and a line that is too thick.

To help you to get over this problem, it is advised for you to use a variable buoyancy worm using lead strip sinkers. The advantages to this are:

The lead will not move on the line and suppress the feel of a soft pickup

You can use the exact amount of lead to have the worm action needed

The bass will inhale the worm much easier

It helps in setting the hook

It's easier to free it from snags

The worm can be made to hang basically suspended over the bottom when fishing shallow water.

If you want to know the amount of lead strip needed, wrap one strip around the hook and bury the barb in the worm. Watch it sink as you slowly put it in the water, it should barely settle near the bottom. Take a little off if it sinks too fast. You should not use anything heavier than 8-pound mono line - preferably 6 pound.

On the other hand, a Spinner bait is able to move faster across the surface and can be bounced on the bottom, put near a tree limb and moved in a variety of ways in order to entice strikes. It is a superb probing lure for the shoreline because of its tangle-free design.

Lastly, Crank baits let you go over a lot of water very quickly. Using them, you won't waste much time checking out a spot. Try using them for finding fish that may be scattered.

The most essential thing is, no matter what lure you pick for the particular lake that you will fish on, you should make it as easy as possible for the Bass find it. Drop that lure right in front of them. Scientists have documented that Bass calculate the total energy needed to get their prey.

Learn and discover to use at least one of those lures that you would rather use for you to have a great time bass fishing!

Apart from deciding on lures, it is also necessary to figure out the best time to go bass fishing.

The biggest bass are usually caught between dawn and dusk. First, remember that bass love ambush spots that give sufficient cover from the baitfish. They like to conceal themselves, and surprise their prey.

The evening or early morning are when the baitfish are most active. Bass follow the baitfish when they feed because they are less aware of threats when they feed. You will have the greatest success by fishing at these times.

When reeling in an underwater lure in low light, try to keep a constant pace once it is set in motion. The bass will like this because it makes it easier for them to find and grab it.

The last thing is, you don't want to go between dusk and dawn when water temperature drops to 50 degrees Fahrenheit or below . This temperature destroys certain terrestrials and aquatics, which stops the food chain feeding.

The right time and correct lures of going bass fishing are important factors that must be taken into account. The quality of water and conditions of the weather are also necessary for you to win the game of bass fishing!

Tubing and Worming

Fishing the Tube in a Spot that is not Holding any Bass

This particular one seems to be a no-brainer, yet it shows up often. Despite the possibility that you are fishing around a renowned -hot spot- as in the Ledge, Race Point, Devil's Bridge or the Fingers, it does not indicate that you have a hot spot for this specific outting.

Have a look around the the very next time you find yourself on the water. On Cape Cod Bay in particular, the striped bass could really be just about anywhere. There's a huge amount of water all around to investigate! I by no means place a line in the water until I see a minimum of one fish on my sonar screen. Marking just one striper, amongst all of this often life-less water, is a huge deal. Chances are that individual fish below your transducer is only one of a lot of bass in the immediate area.

The next occasion you head out onto the water, have a shot at cruising utilizing a focused pattern all over many of the prime fishing spots until you start marking stripers or bait fish. Then place the tube and worm rigs within the water and troll around for 15 minutes. If nothing else shows, keep searching around. Combusting a few additional gallons of gasoline cruising around will probably be worth it-have faith in me!

2) Experimenting with different tube colors first, as a substitute for depth and tube size

There area most likely a boat load of individuals who will not agree with me on this subject (which is A-OK) but I really do not see a need to hold tube colors besides red, black along with perhaps orange. In my opinion hot pink, green, purple, brown and other color tubes are crafted to capture fishermen-and naturally a couple stripers every now and again. I used to fish with orange but I do not today.

In the case you are coming up empty, but people all around you are hooking striped bass, it may be the depth you set your tubes at, or the tube length, instead of tube color which is hindering your catch.

Unfortunately this happened to me just a couple weeks ago.. The bass fishing was hot, but without warning it oddly ceased. I first assumed the fishing had shut off, but I noticed that my fishing bud was managing to still hook up. I tried varying the number of colors I'd been trolling and next adjusting the tube color. I proceeded catching no bass at all.

It was not until I realized that my friend was using a smaller red tube-18 inches, instead of the 24 inch red tubes my crew and I had been trolling all morning. Regretfully I only had 18 inch black tubes on the boat. It did not make any difference to the stripers, and right as they found that 18 inch black tube they hit it and we started landing bass for a second time. Striped bass can be very fickle fish.

I have also had plenty of moments during which I have been hooking stripers trolling with 3 1/2 colors all trip. Then, for some reason, we no longer would entice a bite but proceed marking fish on the sonar. A simple depth change to 4 colors was all we needed and we were able to begin reeling in bass for a second time. I may perhaps never ever understand the big difference a half of a color can make to the bass-even so I will by no means ignore the importance.

If I find myself not getting bit, but I am seeing stripers on my fish finder I will normally:

1) First experiment with number of colors (depth)

2) Experiment with tube length

3) Fiddle with tube color

3) Trolling only 2 tubes instead of 3

A few of years back I would to troll 4 tube and worm rigs off my 21 foot boat. Today when I bring clients out on a fishing trip, I have observed that using 3 tubes, each on lead core fishing line, performs even smoother.

Having that 3rd tube in the water is beneficial for a couple of reasons.

1) It is an additional hook in the water for striped bass to attack, which immediately boosts your bass boating capability. All additional variables held constant, the crew employing 3 tubes will always catch more fish than the boat utilizing just 2.

2) It will allow you to experiment more with tube length, depth and color. This way you'll be able to rapidly find out what the striped bass want.

3) For some odd reason, most stripers bite that line placed down the center of the boat.

Frequently once I uncover a productive color (depth) and a effective tube color and length, I will probably fish all three lines in the same manner. In other words, all three tube and worms are trolled at the exact same depth, are the same color, and will be exactly the same length. Resulting from how my rod holders are placed on my boat, the third line runs right down the middle of the boat and is positioned somewhat closer to the back of the Miss Loretta than the other lines.

Doing this brings about in the water is a bit of a -trolling spread.- All three tube and worms are trolling for striped bass at the exact same depth, but the one tube and worm rig that is being fished off the third line (which is fished down the middle of the spread) is fished a little behind the two other tubes. This is because that middle rod holder is positioned just a bit closer to the stern of the boat than my other two rod holders. The third tube rig is fished just a couple behind the other tube rigs.

It's the exact same strategy that goes into umbrella rigs and squid bars. The rule is that you generally position one bait or lure that trails behind the school. By trolling three tube and worms in the water, you really are constructing a -school of worms- wiggling through the ocean. The middle tube (worm) has fallen just a little behind the other two tubes (worms). Bass commonly zone in on the prey that falls behind its buddies. I suspect this is the reason why my center rod commonly catches more bass the port and starboard tubes.

Bass Fishing With Live Bait

Fishing for bass with live bait is not nearly as common as it was 20-30 years ago. But the truth is, you can catch some big sows on live bait. Bass aren't to particular when it comes to their diet, so there are a wide variety of baits you can use.

Once you fill the fish take your bait, take your finger off the line and let the fish run with it. Once the fish stops to swallow your bait, you flip your bail, reel in the slack, and then set the hook.

Some of my favorite baits to use are: crayfish, leeches, lamprey eels, and grubs. If the lake your fishing holds some trophy bass in it, try some bigger baits like bullheads that are 5 inches long, or bullfrogs, maybe some carp would do the trick. Some of these bigger bass are finicky eaters, however, you can fool them with live bait.

share the bass fishing Tips

you, fishermen bring what they learn to heart, I adapted happen to be unrivaled that wants to share the bass fishing Tips, that I trust sensible over the years with people.

I understand how frustrating Bass Fishing, agency a lake or a river can be Fishing, is no fun to most if you are not return anything at thorough. Striped bass are unique compared to their freshwater brethren in that striped bass breed in fresh water, but somewhat like salmon they spend the adult part of their lives in salt water. Despite this, if the environment changes in such a way as they can not reach salt water, they still have the ability to live solely in fresh water, like smallmouth and largemouth bass.

Striped bass can be found nearly everywhere now, from Chesapeake Bay and Cape Cod down to the reservoirs of Florida. This fish is extremely popular because of its ability to grow to large sizes and put up the type of fight that makes all bass very popular with anglers.

Another reason striped bass are popular is the challenge of catching them. Striped bass are notorious for being finicky about which baits they will show interest in taking. Because of this, when fishing for striped bass there is no specific favorite technique or strategy that is fool proof. Fishing for striped bass can require many different types of bait. This can include including clams, chicken livers, eels, night crawlers, grasshoppers, and minnows. Many anglers do prefer live bait of some type over something factory produced, though this doesnt mean that actual lures cant have success. If you find something that works in striped bass fishing, then by all means, dont change a thing!

Striped bass fishing is a great change of pace for those bass fisherman who desire a fish that can break well above the twenty pound mark. In fact, stripers can easily grow up to an amazing four feet long and weigh over fifty pounds. The world record is 125 lbs, but dont get your hopes up too highthats a record that has stood for over one hundred years. Still, there are huge striped bass out there, and if you are committed to striped bass fishing, you many find some dandies.

So which methods work? It depends on your strategy. If you dont own a boat, then from a shoreline you would want to look at a technique known as surf casting. Surf casting is the process of casting into the surf while you stand near the shore of the ocean. This type of strategy requires special gear that usually involves heavy test line an a series of lead sinkers to actually anchor their live bait of the ocean floor, since having the bait floating back to you is obviously not a good idea!

If you have a boat, then trolling is a great method for going after striped bass. You will definitely want a strong test line, and in this situation artificial lures are ideal. This is a successful technique for striped bass fishing because the striped bass is very aggressive and is willing to attack a moving bait. This allows a fisherman to use lures they may already have, and use a familiar technique as trolling is a great strategy not only for striped bass and largemouth bass, but even other fish such as muskie, pike, or walleyes.

Striped bass fiction is likely to continue to grow in popularity. These are big aggressive fish that put up a huge fight, are a challenge to catch, and taste great in the frying pan or on the grill. With qualities like that, how can striped bass fiction not be popular among any avid fisherman?

Prepare For Fly Fishing

Are you prepared for fly fishing? When it comes to fly fishing Naples, FL fishermen can enjoy some of the best there is to offer. Avoid headaches next time you are preparing for your next fly fishing vacation by prepping your gear today.

Rod Repair

Your rods are the key to your fishing experience. To ensure they are in prime condition you can spend a little time now getting them in shape.

First, check your rod for anything that looks out of character. Throughout the previous season your rod may have come under extreme situations and damage may have resulted. In addition, normal wear and tear occurs every time you use the rod. Look for chips, cracks, and dents.

Once you have looked over the rod you will want to do the same for the guides. Hairline cracks here are almost invisible and will cause damage to the fishing line. You can find cracks by rubbing a Q-tip inside the guide. If it sticks you may have a crack.

If your rod needs repair you will find a variety of repair kits available. Your best bet is to take the rod into the shop for professional repair. However, this is best done when you do not have charters in Naples, FL coming up it can take several weeks to repair a rod.

Reels

To most fly fishermen the reel is as important as the rod. They put as much effort into choosing the right reel as the right rod. Reels must be maintained when they are not in use.

To begin the cleaning process take an old cotton cloth and wipe out sand and dirt. To do this you will have to take the rod apart. Make sure you know where all the pieces are when working on the reel. Once you have wiped down all of the interior pieces you can put a small amount of oil on the ball bearings. This will keep them operating until they are cleaned next time.

Finally, change your line. The worst sound for any fly fisherman is snap of an old line just as he hooks the one. In the back of your mind you will always wonder why you didnt change out that old line.

Tackle

Tackle must also be maintained. The off season is the best time to give your tackle a good cleaning according to charters in Naples, FL. You can use soap and water to clean flies and plastic lures.

You may notice some of your lures are not working well after the season. This may be a sign you need to straighten the line tis. You can do this with a pair of pliers. If you see rust on your hooks toss them out. There are many new hooks on the market for fly fishing in Naples, FL.

If you love fly fishing, and you want to take care of your valuable equipment, spend time at the end of each season to prep and clean your kit. Charters in Naples, FL look forward to seeing you on the water.

Front Runner Charters has been Naples Florida's premier outfit for unforgettable flats, back-country, light-tackle, and fly-fishing since 1997. Fishing is all about patience, right technique and setting up the right bait. For most of the fishing techniques, including trolling to work, the fish must take the bait offered to them. A normal gas powered motor makes too much noise that can scare away fish and make catching them impossible. Ergo, one needs a low noise motor, called a trolling motor to drive the boat silently and gently over the water surface, without scaring the fish. So if you are planning to start a trolling business, the first item on your shopping list should be the trolling motor. This Buzzle article is a short guide explaining how to choose a trolling motor effectively to catch pelagic fish like Mackerel, Salmon, Bass and Tuna.

What is a Trolling Motor?

A trolling motor is an outboard electric motor fitted on a boat. The reason why they are exclusively preferred over gasoline based motors, when it comes to trolling, is the comparatively low noise they make. These motors are used by boats engaged in freshwater as well as saltwater fishing. Powered by rechargeable batteries, like the ones used in cars, the thrust provided by these motors is low compared to conventional gasoline powered motors, but they are ideal to maintain the element of surprise while angling for fish using hook lines. They are sold as a self contained unit consisting of the electric motor mechanism, propellers, battery units and control mechanism. These motors are used as subsidiary driving mechanisms installed on either bow or stern side of the boat.

Batteries used on such boats range from 12 V, 24 V to 36 V systems. The motor may come with hand or foot control mechanism and stays submerged, as it's installed behind the propeller, in a watertight enclosure. This helps keep the motor cool. Besides the low noise during operation, another advantage of a trolling motor is that it's emission free. Other than fishing applications, trolling motors also find application in powering canoes and kayaks. Let us see what are the factors that need to be taken into consideration while choosing trolling motors.

How to Choose a Trolling Motor?

Before you go shopping for a trolling motor, you need to study your boat's dimensions and measure its weight when fully loaded with equipment and personnel. This will help you decide what size of trolling motor will be appropriate for your boat.

Thrust Specification

The most vital specification of a trolling motor is the thrust (in lbs) that it provides. It defines the maximum driving force that the motor can provide, to propel the boat in a desired direction. A general rule that is followed while choosing the thrust specification is as follows.

Measure the total weight of the boat in pounds, when it's loaded with all equipment and divide the figure by 70. The figure you arrive at, after division is roughly the thrust value that you should be looking for, in your trolling motor. For example, if the total weight of the boat is 4200 pounds, the right thrust value for the boat will be around 4200 lbs / 70 = 60 lbs.

Battery Power Specification

The second most important specification is the battery power value of the boat. According to the thrust value required by the motor, the battery specification must be determined. Generally, a 12 V battery is enough for small size boats, but longer boats might require more than 24 V of power. It is better to go for a battery with higher voltage rating.

Trolling Motor Shaft Length

The motor shaft, which has the motor attached, has to be submerged under the water line. Hence it's essential that you measure the maximum length between the bow or stern and the water line. Choosing the right shaft length will ensure that the propeller is submerged at the right depth to power the boat forward.

Hand Control or Foot Control

You may choose from among a hand controlled or foot controlled trolling motor, according to your convenience. Remote-controlled motors are also available nowadays, making it easier to navigate the boat.

Thrust and battery power are the two most important factors, that need to be taken into consideration while choosing a trolling motor. Know your boat length and weight to estimate the propulsion power it requires. This will help you choose the right size trolling motor. Decide whether a foot controlled or hand controlled mechanism will be more convenient for you and calculate the battery power you will need, for the operation, before choosing a trolling motor. Happy trolling!

Choosing A Fly Rod

For many reasons, it is with some trepidation that I approach this subject. As I have stated in previous articles about fly fishing gear, you ask 15 people, and you get 15 different opinions. Choosing a fly rod is no different. In fact it might be the epitome of that statement. Fly anglers are picky about their fly rods, and they love their fly rods. To many it is like comparing spouses, and if you love your spouse then you have the best one. But having said that we can lay down some truths about the fly rod industry, and then go into more specifics about the fine art of finding you a partner with which to share the passion of fly fishing.

What is it to be used for:

The first thought when selecting a fly rod, is its most often intended use. Are you casting for Tarpon or small trout on a creek? Most likely somewhere in between, and maybe even several uses. You first need to think about the size of the water you are mostly going to be fishing, and then the size of the fly you intend to cast. After that you need to consider the size of the fish you intend to catch. The rod size effects both the casting and the playing of the fish. The nice thing is if you are both a smallmouth bass and a rainbow trout fisher, you can probably get by with one rod. The same for Largemouth and Steelhead and Salmon. You might not get the ultimate choice for either, but depending on your budget you can get a very nice choice for a variety of fishing conditions.

THE #s:

Fly rod sizes are categorized by numbers. Unlike flies, where the smaller the number, the larger the fly. Rods go by the larger the number the larger the fly rod. A number 3 rod is a very light rod, used for small trout in small streams. A 12 wt. rod is used for Tarpon, Stripers and other fish that need long distance casting, big flies. The most popular all-around rods are in the 5-6 category, here you can cover the whole gamut of trout fishing and a good chunk of bass fishing as well. A number 6 rod can also tackle small steelhead and other sea-run fish, if the angler is skilled. Most steelhead anglers will choose a bigger rod however, in the 7-9 range, and they can also fish salmon with that range as well.

The other number to consider is length. 9 is by far the most popular length right now. You can cast a 9 long distances without getting tired, and have good control of the drift. If fishing smaller streams and or bushy areas, 9 will frustrate you, as there isnt enough room to maneuver it. Rods commonly go down to 7 and even shorter ones can be found. If doing a lot of fishing out of a float tube, longer rods are common place, as one can get more distance with a longer rod, and the extra length helps to keep the fly off the water on the backcast.

Action:

Here it gets even more complicated, as different manufacturers call the action of their rod different things. But basically action can be broken down into slow, moderate and fast. Many manufacturers have 4 classification, but they all are based on the same concept. And that is how much of the rod will bend, when casting.

A fast (or super fast) rod will have only the tip bend, they offer the longest casting distances, they also are great if you are fishing in the wind. Allowing for tighter casting loops, they are great for shooting head lines, double-hauling casting techniques and are a treat for the skilled caster. They are however, are harder to learn on and therefore not recommended for ones first fly rod.

The next level down is medium and is the most popular action being sold today. They flex further down the rod than the fast action. Great for beginners, it is also the choice of most experienced anglers who dont own a bunch of rods. For beginners they are forgiving to learn on, providing more accuracy then the super fast. They dont cast as far however, and you will battle the wind more in this type rod.

The last level is slow or full bend, often bending all the way to the grip. These rods are dying out, which is a shame, because for fishing small creeks they are the best. They dont cast very far, but you dont need that on tiny creeks, but what they do best is absorb the shock, so your tippet doesnt get as stressed, there fore your chances of snapping off the fly are reduced.

Grips:

The choice of grip is often over looked when choosing a fly rod. This is a mistake, as the grip is important in the comfort of your fly rod in your hand. Most decent fly rods these days use standard cork as the material. full wells grips are the choice if you have large hands, and half wells grips are popular with lady anglers. They both many ways you can hold the rod, and your hand seems to naturally find its preferred method of holding the rod. It can also be altered once fatigue sets in, so you can fish longer without cramps.

Manufacturers:

There are many of them, and guess what, the most common names all make great fly rods. With the advent of graphite in the 70s the fly rod industry was revolutionized, and now one must not spend a fortune for a bamboo rod, to enjoy great fly fishing.

I, personally have fished almost every name brand on the market today. Like every other angler I have my preferences but I must admit the differences are nil, and I could probably learn to like any of them, just as well as the ones I won. I currently own rods from Scott, LL Bean, Loomis and Cabelas, and they all have characteristics I love and some I would like to see improved, and I am a very happy owner of them all.

I do look for the lifetime warranty, and it offered by virtually all major rod makers today. It is figured into the price of the rod, and you must register your rod upon purchase to qualify for it. But if you have your rod for any length of time you will undoubtedly be glad you have it. Whether you broke your rod tip off fighting a fish, trying to free a snag, or in the car door, most rod makers will send you a replacement.

Recommendations:

Realize these are very basic recommendations and use them as a starting point. But for small streams and brook trout I like 3-4 weight slow action rod. They are still out there, but you may have to look. For other trout and small mouth bass I like 5-6 wt. rods and medium action. And for largemouth, salmon, and steelhead, try a 7-9 weight fast action rod. Invest the time to practice this technique and you will have more fun bass fishing in the cold winter months. This and other Bass fishing techniques are required to master the art of bass fishing.

If you put the time in, you will soon learn how to master the fall and winter bass fishery in British Columbia. Your efforts will be rewarded with exceptional smallmouth bass of trophy sizes. Remember though it takes roughly 8 to 10 years for a smallmouth bass to attain a weight in excess of 5 lbs., so conserve your catch by practicing responsible catch and release methods.

Well the cold weather has put the bass into their winter patterns. Forget about rip baits, spinner baits and crank baits. Now is the time to break out the finesse gear. One of the most common techniques for getting bass to bite during this season is splitshotting. It is a fairly straightforward technique and requires little investment in terminal tackle.

The hardest thing there is to teach a bass angler learning to splitshot is detecting the bite. The bite will vary according to the activity level of the fish. There will be times when they pop the bait hard and you will know immediately that they are eating the bait. Other times there will be a soft, almost imperceptible tick and then nothing. And finally there is the dreaded pressure bite. The pressure bite will take two forms.

The first way to describe a pressure bite is you will feel a slight resistance to pulling your line forward. This is somewhat like hooking a soft, spongy rubber band. The second pressure bite is when you lose contact with the bottom.

A bass has picked up your lure and is just following along with your forward movement. This is why it is so important to maintain bottom contact. Once you realize that you've lost the feel of the weight against the bottom, and your depth hasn't changed significantly, you have to put two and two together and get ready to set the hook.

The preferred hook set for this technique is called a sweep set. Once you have detected a fish holding your bait drop the rod tip towards the fish, reel down to the point of feeling resistance (or just shy of that point) and 'sweep' the rod horizontally away from the fish.

If the rod loads up good and you're sure that you've got the hook in the fish just fight him to the boat. If you set the hook and it didn't feel solid you may want to set the hook a second time. The drag on your reel should be set tight enough that it doesn't give on the initial hook set. But it shouldn't be set so tight that a larger fish can't take the line if needed.

British Columbia, Canada's foremost sport fishing web site containing BC saltwater fishing, BC freshwater fishing, maps, fishing tackle news, sport fishing destinations, fishing tips and techniques, editorials, articles and much, much more. Inside you'll find everything you need to tackle trophy fish of all varieties including salmon, halibut, steelhead, trout, bass, and sturgeon to name a few. They also had their own approach and techniques regarding bass fishing.

Since the best spot to catch bass is never on weeds and cover, use weedless lures when possible. This will cut down on the expense of losing lures.

Bass exist in a wide variety of temperatures, but tend to get inactive during a cold front. Fish swim deeper during the sunniest part of the day. Sun seems to adversely affect bass fishing. Seek out shady spots or deeper water with cover. On cloudy or overcast days try shallower waters. In cold water, retrieve your bait slower. Fish tend to react slower in colder temperatures.

Freshwater Fish Identification is another technique used by anglers. So whether you're watching a consummate professional angler check-in fish during a tournament, or listening to an on-air running commentary on a television fishing program, you know that he'll be speaking the truth of the matter.

Learn about bowhunting moose and bowhunting elk at the Bowhunting Tips site.

Top Five Huge Bass Fishing Mistakes

There are TONS of mistakes people make when bass fishing, but Ill make it quick, dont wanna take up too much of your time, so Ill just point out the top five most common bass fishing mistakes

HUGE MISTAKE # 1: *NO PATIENCE*

The number 1 biggest mistake I see people make would have to be tossing their line out and then reeling it right back in!

What you should really do is, toss your line out and let it sit there where ever it lands and wait, wait, and wait (30 seconds and more at times). This alone will do wonders to your fish count if it doesnt already!

Its usually tough to see under water even for fish, which is why you NEED to put this next tip to use at all times

HUGE MISTAKE # 2: *LACK OF POPPING*

When you toss your lure into the water dont just let it sit there Reel in your line until there is no slack left, then snap and even jerk your wrist towards you to stir up some vibration, and commotion in the water.

By doing this you will create loads of curiosity around your bait, fish will come to see whats going on and quickly see a delicious little meal(your hook) bouncing around and it will immediately turn into a feeding frenzy, your lure will be irresistible to them!

HUGE MISTAKE # 3: *THE CONFIDENCE BAIT*

I see it all the time, most fisherman have a go to bait that they can always count on to catch fish when nothing else is working. This is fine until this bait turns into the only thing you use

Its always a wise decision to keep your go to bait as a go to bait and keep switching your lures constantly (every 10-15 minutes) if you arent catching anything!

HUGE MISTAKE # 4: *LOSS OF FOCUS*

Dont lose your focus, I know fishing is supposed to be a relaxing sport and hobby but you still need to pay attention to what your doing, at least some what...

Ive realized I always tend to do best when I first start fishing, Why? Because Im psyched to be out on the water fishing (off shore or on the boat) Im totally pumped!

But what happens when its been a few hours or more?

You get tired, relaxed, and calmed down which in turn causes LOSS OF FOCUS. If you can just remember where you need to be casting, to jiggle your bait, and every once in awhile change up your lure if your not having much luck, you should be just fine!

HUGE MISTAKE # 5: *NOT ENOUGH CHANGE UPS*

No luck? Keep moving! If you arent catching anything change it up, leave that spot

I dont care how many fish you caught or what you heard about a spot if you dont get anything within 15 20 minutesLEAVE, and leave fast, Theres nothing there, not today at least, dont waste your time!

These are just a few of the mistakes people tend to make when fishing for bass if youd like more FREE advice along with loads of bass fishing tips, tricks, techniques, news and more... check out my site below!

ESPN Magazine The History

ESPN (the magazine), formerly an abbreviation of Entertainment and Sports Programming Network, is published bi-weekly and owned by an American cable television network dedicated to broadcasting mostly sports-related programming twenty-four hours a day. The company was founded by Scott Rasmussen and his father Bill Rasmussen, along with Donny Stanley and his son Cardell and was first launched on September 7, 1979 with the show SportsCenter (which aired its 25,000th episode on August 25, 2002).

ESPN was originally owned by a prestigious joint venture between the Getty Oil Company (which was purchased by Texaco later on) and Nabisco. As of 1984, the entire family of ESPN networks and franchises are owned by ABC and the Hearst Corporation. ESPN was started as an alternative to standard television news broadcasts and the information that is usually found in the Sports sections of newspapers. It was begun as a fairly small-fry operation at first and they had to broadcast unorthodox sporting events such as the Worlds Strongest Man Competition, the short-lived United States Football League (USFL) before ESPN landed a contract to show National Football league games on Sunday evenings in 1987.

ESPN the Magazine, like the industry leader in sports television that created it, is big, bold and brash like most of the athletes that it portrays and it uses its oversize format to show off very striking full page images and splashy sidebars. Contributors to the magazines include familiar on-air talent such as Dan Patrick, Chris Berman, Stuart Scott, Rich Eisen, Linda Cohn, Peter Gammons, John Clayton and many others (including the athletes themselves).

In comparison to other sports magazines, ESPN gives you broader features such as playoff previews, personality profiles, photo spreads with a major emphasis on basketball, football, baseball, hockey, soccer and some newer extreme sports. ESPN mainly targets young, active men whose lifestyles include watching sports, attending games and participating in different types of athletics. The editorial focus of ESPN Magazine plays off the news and includes what happens in sports and which match-ups and young players to look out for. Also, ESPN emphasizes both the humor and fun of both mainstream and off-beat sports.

Bass Fishing Secrets - Bass Fishing Techniques - Bass Fishing Tips, Tricks and Advice

Bass fishing articles, tips, directories, discussion, chat and products.

Winter Bass Fishing Techniques

Bass fishing in winter months can be very tough.Like humans and all other animals bass do not like to move much in the winter and like to store up on food to avoid having to hunt as often. It can be extremely difficult to fish for bass in the winter and chances are you will have to deal with freezing conditions while sat in a boat, this can make the experience less than pleasurable.

The key to catching bass in the winter is to use large baits and fish them very slow. Brush hogs tend to work well in the winter months when bass fishing. A large jig or chatterbair with a pork trailer will also do the trick. If a bass is going to have to move around a lot in the cold water the treat better be worth it.

When you are going winter bass fishing it is often in your best interests to choose shallow waters, realistically you want to choose water that are no deeper than twelve feet or so. Bass like to lay and wait in places where there is a sharp depth change nearby and offering some cover such as a group of weeds or a downed tree. If you stick to locations like these you are ensured to catch many bass.

Winter bass fishing can be hard and often frustrating at times but it can also be very rewarding and productive in terms of fish caught. If you choose a location correctly than you are virtually guaranteed to catch at least one good sized fish that will make the whole experience worthwhile.

Chances are that fish caught during the winter months are much bigger than anything you have caught before so you can be sure to beat your personal best if you have not been winter bass fishing before.

Bait For Fishing Bass...See How Easily You Can Catch 10 Times More Fish.

Bait for fishing bass is easier than you thought possible, if you know this little known secret.

Today is your lucky day, did you know there are little known secrets to catching swarms of hungry fish, whether in freshwater or saltwater. .

It is an unknown secret that a few fishermen know and keep all to themselves. It works time and time again. The funny thing about it is that it enables you the ability to catch vast amounts of fish without you having to buy bait for fishing bass or anything to produce these astronomical results.

You basically need your eyes and your ears to spot it because it's right under your nose. Another amazing thing is if this "thing" didn't exist there wouldn't be a single fish on the planet. We as humans would have also died from starvation. This has nothing to do with "chumming" or anything like that.

The fact is that you don't have to do anything to produce vast amount of catches with what I'm going to reveal to you. Mother nature takes care of it for you - if you let her.

This is something that 99% of fishermen don't even know that it exists. If you're one of the lucky ones to learn what I'm about to reveal to you, you'll be grinning from ear to ear in just a minute. Others are going to be green with envy. So what am I talking about? What is the big secret? Check this out...

The "scientific secret" nature is hiding from fishermen has two parts to it. They are called "Phytoplankton" and "Zooplankton". Now, don't let the fancy names scare you - it will all make perfect sense in a second - I promise. Let me start off by telling you exactly what "Phytoplankton" and "Zooplankton" are, and then I'll tell you how you can "use" them to pull up massive amounts of fish faster than you can image, without the need for bait for fishing bass. Put it this way, the only thing better would be to have the fish jump right in the boat!

The Author has been writing articles online for nearly 2 years now. You'd be surprised at how simple it is, and yet incredibly powerful when you apply the following training tip to your MLM business.

Following is an excerpt of an email from a FirstClassMLMTools.com website visitor:

"Hi Tim,

Your CD, Brilliant Compensation, was shared with me a couple of years ago by my upline. I now share it with prospects. However, I am still struggling to get people to 'pay attention.'

1. I realize 'everyone' says they have the 'best of the best,' however, getting across to people that our company truly does have something 'very unique' that 'no one' can copy, because we have exclusive patent rights to our formulations, has still been a tough sell. We also 'honestly' have one of the 'best' marketing plans in the industry, and have been touted by many as 'The #1 Networking Company in the Entire History of Networking!' Well, with information like this to share you would think people would be 'jumping' on board...not so.

2. We don't care what anyone says, Wisconsin's market seems almost impossible!

PLEASE HELP!!!

Bless you for all that you do!

Sincerely,

Debbie"

Tim's response to the above:

Alright Debbie, let me see if I can help you.

In your first question, you state that your company truly does have something very unique that no one can copy, and that your compensation plan is the "best" in the industry.

I'm reminded of someone who sent in a question a while back and made very similar statements, only this person had sent in what he had said during a one-on-one presentation.

He said that he, "explained the compensation plan and how it was incredible, and how the company was touted as being one of the fastest growing companies in the USA." After the presentation though, the girl (he was presenting to) said, "why are you telling me all this? You barely mentioned the product! I could never even think about selling something where I don't know about the product."

Then she got up and left the room.

Something very important to remember in your MLM training: you're trying to get people to PAY ATTENTION, but they are not going to PAY ATTENTION until you talk about something THEY want to hear about!

You obviously are very interested in the fact that your company has very unique products and a compensation plan that is the best in the industry. Also obvious is the fact that your prospects in Wisconsin don't care about those things at all.

You will NEVER get the attention of anyone until you talk about what they want to talk about; whether you're talking to a toddler, a teenager, a person from Wisconsin or a person from Mexico.

My recommendation is to go back and really listen to Professional Inviter. Pay particular attention to Communication Quality #1, which is: "Be interested in your prospect." Being interested in your prospect is very different than trying to GET your prospect to be interested in what you or your company has to offer. Find out what your prospect wants, then help them get it; IF your business can help them get it.

As an example, let's suppose that you're talking to a prospect and he says to you that he wants to buy a new bass fishing boat. Can that incredible compensation plan that your company offers, help your prospect get a bass fishing boat? Of course it can! Ask the prospect why he doesn't have it yet. He may tell you that he doesn't have the money. Then ask, "Are you doing anything to make extra money so you can buy a bass fishing boat?" He will obviously tell you, "no" he's not. Then ask, "I have a DVD that will help you get a bass fishing boat, do you want me to send it to you?"

Guess what? He will PAY ATTENTION now!

As for your second question, I've never traveled to a city, state or country where the people who've picked me up at the airport have said, "This is the best city to build a network marketing business." They all say, "This city/state/country is a very difficult place to build a networking business."

If there is such a thing as a "tougher" market, it doesn't change the fundamentals of network marketing. The fundamentals are: make people's life better. In a tough market, you may need to do those fundamentals more often than in an "easy" market.

Hope this helps,

Tim Sales

P.S. Of course, Professional Inviter has lots more strategies to get your prospect to pay attention and take action. Communication Quality #1 is a good start, but to really get your best results, you need to know them all. Then you'll be saying what Mack says: "My numbers have gone up 70%." Listen to the first CD in the set at this link: http://www.firstclassmlmtools.com

Fly Fishing Basics - The Artform of Fishing

http://flyfisheronline.com/fly-fishing-basics-the-artform-of-fishing

When it comes to regular fishing practices, there is almost no one in the world that does not know the basics. However when it comes to the art of fly fishing, generations upon generations have found the basics to have eluded them. As a result of the new found fly fishing boom, there are plenty of those who wish to learn, and not really anyone to teach them. This can cause a problem for the fact that fly fishing has more than 2,000 years of history.

While you can simply bait a hook, toss it in the water and when something bites you can make dinner, fly fishing takes a little bit more effort to catch that fish. The good thing is however that the more effort you put into catching that fish, the better the meal will taste when you sit down to eat your days catch.

For starters, the concepts of fly fishing use no organic bait whether artificial or live. You do not take a real fly and bait it to your hook then presto you have a fish. Instead the flies used in the act of fly fishing are composed of things like string, feathers or even ribbon. These flies are then attached to a hook and through the movements of the line, you are able to dazzle the fly in front of your fish.

The bait itself is considered to be one of the most important fundamentals regarding the basics of fly fishing and when you know about the flies and how they should act upon the water, you will then be able to focus on the casting techniques. In casting the fly, you do not simply toss it out in a straight line like you would in a normal sport fishing routine, but rather through an art form you carefully and diligently glide the fly in and out of the water as a means of imitating an insect.

A fly fishing rod is quite often longer than that of a standard fishing rod while at the same time they are also substantially lighter. This is important because you have to create a certain rhythm in your castings which cannot be achieved with a heavier rod. The reel itself is barely ever used in fly fishing other than to retrieve the line. Instead one hand holds on to the line carefully pulling it out of the reel in small increments. From there you basically shake the line out a little at a time mimicking that of a live insect and enticing the fish to bite.

Fly fishing is pure art when it comes to the sport fishing world and some people can do it, while at the same time others cannot.

Smallmouth Bass Fishing In Canada The Ups And Downs

Canada provides some of the world's best fishing. Summer season opens in March and ends late in July. Many anglers head for the variety of fish found within Canada's border.

The lakes, ponds, streams, and rivers provide perfect habitats for an ample amount fish, and this multiplicity provides a variety of challenges for any type of fisherman. The geographical diversity found in Canada also offers opportunities for saltwater fishing, ice fishing, and fly-fishing.

Smallmouth bass is one of the popular species found from Ontario, Canadas Great Lakes shoals to scenic, glacial lakes of the Canadian Shield and in thousands of rivers, creeks, and lakes in between.

Smallmouth bass are often-discussed. Nearly every fishing magazine contains a story or two where the writer extolled this fish as a hard-hitting, scrappy-fighting, aerial acrobat of the sunfish family. Those who have experienced smallmouth angling know that this praise is justified.

Little wonder should exist that there has been in recent years renewed interest in fishing for this species. Smallmouth, although plentiful only in places with select habitat, are distributed throughout the state. Many anglers need to travel only a short distance for a chance to fish for this fierce fighter of the black bass family.

Smallmouth bass are most often bronze to brownish green in color, with dark vertical bars on the sides. In contrast to the Largemouth bass, the upper jaw does not extend beyond rear margin of eye. Its Eye is reddish in color and shallow notch in dorsal fin. Soft dorsal fin has 13 to 15 rays. These species prefer to stay in rocky habitats in streams and lakes with clear waters.

In streams, these creatures fed on minnows and crayfish while in lakes, they consumed shad and crayfish.

Smallmouth bass also inhabit a wide range of water - there are "deep" and "shallow" bass and they are a schooling fish - meaning if you catch one there's a good chance there are several others in the area. Bass generally stick close to the bottom or near structure like humps and saddles. As ambush predators, bass need cover to feed successfully so casting accuracy and presentation are key elements to consider when fishing for them.

Over the years, many anglers and clients express their frustration at trying to catch smallmouth bass. Legends and masters do exist in bass fishing. Ones who are everyday men in every way but when they are on the water with a bass casting rod in hand they transform and transcend their ordinary existence.

And according to these experts, in order to catch smallmouth bass in streams, cast upstream and let the bait drift into pools and behind objects that break the current, such as boulders and snags when fishing with hellgrammites crayfish or some other live bait weighted with split shot. Anglers fishing from a boat also may anchor upstream from boulders and other smallmouth hangouts. Cast downstream and let the current hold the bait where it is likely to attract a smallmouth from this position.

In making live bait from boats, drop anchor over a smallmouth structure and lower crayfish and/or minnows straight down to the bass. The more legal lines you have in the water the better. Although smallmouths lie directly beneath the boat, it may take several minutes before they respond. When one bass does take bait, the ensuing battle rouses bass nearby into action. Get fresh bait back into the water as soon as possible after landing a bass to keep the feeding frenzy going.

The effective lures for smallmouth are those that resemble minnows, plastic worms and streamer flies while live baits include minnows, hellgrammites and crayfish. Drop anchor over a smallmouth structure and lower crayfish straight down to the bass.

As you clock more and more bass-fishing hours you will acquire a knack for choosing the right lure and technique for the right situation. The best advice is to examine the fishing conditions, ask for guidance from anglers familiar with the waters you are fishing, and, finally, to try many different lures and bass-fishing techniques until you discover what works most effectively.

Locating and catching smallmouth is a real challenge. That is why it is really so much fun. Of course the real reason why we all enjoy fishing is the fun and camaraderie we experience with our friends and family. Some of the best fishing stories have nothing to do with how many fish were caught or what bait or technique was used.
